Choice Hotels my stay at a comfort inn

Good evening. I am writing this correspondence to inform you of my recent stay at one of your hotels. My sister, myself and our children reserved two rooms in January for a stay in August of this year. Check in was at 3:00 and we arrived at 3:30. The hotel had a sign that asked guests to "pardon our dust" due to renovations. We figured this to mean some rooms not painted, etc.
After checking in to the room we left right away to visit relatives and returned to our rooms to unpack around 11:00.
After taking our shoes off we realized that our socks were getting wet from the floor. Upon further inspection I realized that there were several red stains on the floor that someone tried to unsuccessfully clean up, and the floor was not dry from the cleaning solution.
My daughters (ages 10, 15, and 15) were freaked out that it might have been blood or throw up but I told them to just leave their shoes on and assured them that it was probably nothing.
This is only the START of the story. Trust me when I tell you it gets much better.
My youngest daughter and I were sharing a bed and once we got under the covers we noticed a horrific smell. We couldn't figure out where it was coming from and then realized that it was coming from the sheets and bed cover. It was human pee. A very distinct Oder. The entire bed and sheets had dry pee stains all over it and it reeked. I went to the front desk and told the guy about the sheets and the wet floor. He came to the room with me and verified both and we went back to the front desk where he handed me new sheets and said I could replace them.
When I was replacing the sheets I noticed that not only were the sheets not changed and stained but the pad under the sheets was also stained. I put the clean sheets over the pad and the comforter over the sheets and was just going to do my best to get some rest. This did not work because the smell was still so strong it was making me and my children nauseous. I went back to the front desk and asked if I could possibly move to another room due to the smell of pee. He told me that because of the state fair being in town that everything was booked. I understood the situation and asked for a cot which he provided. I was trying to put all of the bedsheets in the corner and pulled off the last cover when I realized that the actual mattress had dried pee stains on it too. It was so smelly. In addition, in-between the headboard and the mattress I found a child's sock and a baby bottle with left over soured formula or milk in it. Not 100 percent sure of the contents but it was chunky. (Seriously I couldn't make this up if I tried).
My daughter who suffers from anxiety had a complete anxiety attack and threw up in the bathroom and started to cry uncontrollably. I went back to the front desk and gave the baby bottle to the clerk and told him that the entire mattress was covered in pee, was horrible smelling and would most likely need to be replaced.
So now I have three children and myself trying to sleep in a room that the smell alone is making us nauseous and to top it off we are all trying to squeeze in one bed and a cot. I didn't sleep at all because my daughter keep crying and saying she was scared and I couldn't stop smelling rotten pee all night. (I even tried to spray body mist on it to cover up the smell but it didn't work very well). If my kids hadn't been with me I would have slept in the car.
The next morning the manager approached me, apologized, told me that he will get me a new room and discount my price of the room. He told me that there were residents that were living in that room and he was under the impression that it had been cleaned.
At breakfast my sister informed me that she found a cockroach in her bathroom...her room was about five doors down. We figured that this was due to renovating...but still no excuse.
The new room was fine. This time we were right next to my sisters room. All the sheets smelled fresh and everyone slept well. In the morning as we were getting ready to leave I saw a cockroach climbing up the curtain. Seriously?Thank goodness I didn't see it that night or I would have for sure slept in the car. Before my girls saw it I killed it (your welcome)so they wouldn't freak out any further.
As we were checking out, I did mention that we both saw cockroaches and we got no response. I looked at the bill and the manager took off a total of 20.00 from the entire stay.
Please read my experience over and imagine having three daughters and tell me if this hotel would be a place that you would like to bring your family to for a mini family vacation. My family is honestly so incredibly grossed out over the entire situation that I can't even think about it without getting so grossed out. It's really so disgusting. Just knowing that we stepped in some "unknown" wet stain on the floor and then we slept in somebody else's pee..and had to breathe it in all night...found a baby bottle with rotten milk and then a cockroach. Like I said...I couldn't make this story up if I tried.
I am probably on the right track by saying the owner of this hotel chain would most likely be horrified about this experience. I realize that I could give bad reviews or post it on social media and tarnish your business but I am not going to do that. I just wanted to let you know that my girls and I are truly traumatized by this whole ordeal. Please pass this along to somebody that will be able to do something about this so no other family trying to enjoy a little time together leaves with permanent scars from your hotel chain.
I would like to make note that the clerk on duty that night was very kind and honestly felt really bad for me. He did everything that he could to help. In addition the manager was apologetic too. And...the breakfast was really good.
I am looking forward to your return correspondence soon.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn at Lumberton, N.C. on Christmas Eve. We got in our room and went down to the desk to ask where the Ice Machine was. The lady at the desk politely said "at the end of the hall." When we got to the end of the hall we discovered the Ice Machine had a note on it that said "Out of Order." We went back to the desk and asked if there was an Ice Machine in the hotel that was not out of order. The lady behind the desk responded confidently, "No." And that was the end of that. Really?

Choice Hotels breakfast and watching only cnn news

I am here at the Comfort Inn near Seaworld in San Antonio. Everyday I go down for breakfast and have to listen to CNN news because that is the ONLY station that is authorized to view per the staff here. If I have to listen to a news station bashing OUR President constantly...I will not continue supporting your company by staying at your hotels. This truly is disappointing that this company has to try and control what we have to listen to and not enjoy our breakfast. What an awful start of the day on our vacation. I cant believe you would try and force us to watch something so disgusting and support the bashing media on our president. Aren't you suppose to support and encourage the leadership in our country...and yet people wonder why our children are becoming more disrespectful. Maybe we should make a better example. Half the media on the tv isnt true anyway. I am sure Im not the only one that feels this way.

Choice Hotels comfort inn airport minneapolis minnesota.

I stayed at the comfort inn on 2 August. The night before I requested a late check out. I left for an appointment at 7 o'clock in the morning. I had a mentally challenged and also alcoholic travel partner who was not listed on the room as being in the room. She had an issue with some of the workers in the hotel. When she was not in my room by the way. The hotel staff checked her and myself out of the room at about 830 in the morning without my knowledge whatsoever. Actually the staff that were working had no proof that the woman was even with me or have permission to be in my room. I called the hotel about 10 minutes before checkout time and made sure that my late checkout was put in the computer. At this point in time I was not informed that I was checked out hours earlier without my knowledge. All my belongings were Pack by someone other than me without my permission. I feel completely and totally violated. To a certain degree I mentally handicapped friend was not dealt with properly. I have reviewed policies and procedures and none have been followed. There was no record of this female with me in my room. So basically a stranger can just walk up and say I want a key to 305 and the front desk well not only let them in the room but will also let them remove all the property out of the room without notifying the person who rented the room. This violates so many privacy laws in you you get it you have to get this. I've worked at a comfort inn for year I am a choice rewards member Txc121616 you can see the point of accumulated throughout the years. I have complained to the hotel management with no response whatsoever. I am about to complain to the attorney general in Minnesota I feel that my issues are major very very major in the hotel business and privacy is big in the hotel business as you know. Would really like for this to be remedied. My name once again it's Travis Callies my phone number [protected]. I would like a call back.

Choice Hotels ring stolen from room

Confirmation #: [protected]. I don't even know where to begin...we recently spent 3 nights at the quality inn in Kimberly, WI and besides the room being a little dirty the first night was ok. It was the second and third nights that turned into a nightmare. On the second night when we had returned to our room after a long day we noticed that my wedding ring was missing from where I had set it down on the nightstand that morning. When we found out that the ring was missing we spent a majority of that night pulling everything out, chairs, the bed, nightstands, entertainment center, all of our luggage, we even checked all of our dirty clothes and the ring never turned up. There was no safe in the room for us to lockup our personal belongings and because we were in a "Quality" Inn we figured the ring would be safe on the nightstand. Ever since then the customer service experience from the hotels general manager and choice hotels has been terrible. The GM never returned our phone calls after repeatedly trying to get in contact with him. We had extremely long hold times with choice hotels just to find out that they cant to anything when it comes to there own hotels! The GM basically blamed us for loosing it (which it was stolen) and said that we have to file a police report and that's all we can do. The GM had told us that he had been in contact with choice hotels but after the multiple phone calls to choice hotels we found out that he was in fact never in contact with them, lies all around! The last 2 nights were extremely stressful which we were totally not expecting to go through on our vacation.

Choice Hotels hotel stay

Congirmation Number: [protected]-SCOTT
I recently stayed at your Rodeway Inn & Suites in Lincoln City, OR. I have to tell you, It was the worst stay in a hotel ever. I was in tears over the disappointment. When on vacation I try to make the best of things, but in this case, it was one thing after another. I left feeling as if it was a waste of money. I rented 2 rooms and spent $800+ and I didn't get what I paid for. I trusted the "Choice Hotel" brand to have a level of standards, and it fell short. Here is a list of the things:
-First impression was told by the lady on duty that we had more people for the family suite then allowed. I found this to be impossible as I had called and asked questions days in advance. We had 6 people. She was reluctant to let the issue go, until I showed her on my phone the confirmation sent to me for 4 adults/2 children, then the room ad stating maximum occupancy 6 people. Her response, "well that's wrong, it needs to be changed". Fine, but not my problem, what I want to hear is, you're right here is your room key. I took a deep breath and thought, disaster averted and let it go.
-She then proceeds to warn me that because we have 2 children on the 3rd floor, we need to keep them from running in the halls (ages 2 & 4), she informed me to control them. Lady, I haven't even got my room key. I prefer to address these issues should the need arise. Which in this case it didn't as our dang room was DIRECTLY across the elevator.
-Speaking of room key, ridiculous to give one key for 4 adults.
-Room run down and unclean
-Both screen doors lock broken, which is the only way to ventilate the room. But unsafe with 2 young children.
-Balcony slanted and scary, rails seem to allow 2 year old thru. So we never opened that door. Hot and uncomfortable to rest.
-Window in separate bedroom no screen, so opening it allowed flys, bugs and possible sea gull in. Again, making it uncomfortable.
-Sheets and comforter with sketchy stains, had to ask to have changed. No apology ever offered just told by housekeeping that it was a dryer issue, even after being shown a caked in stain. This was repeated by the same front office lady the next morning. As if to say it wasn't dirty.
-Sign in kitchenette regarding sanitized dishes. ABSOLUTELY not a single dish, utensil, dish towel. Not even a trash can under the sink. Only trash cans, 2 little ones in bathroom and countertop.
-room with holes poorly patched and duct tape coming off.
-Plasma TV? Not in the bedroom, small, old TV with no remote or reception. Go turn it on and every Chanel hisses.
-We decided to leave the room and try to perk it up. Got back at 11pm with sleeping littles and opened their bed only to find NO BEDDING, and none in the room. Went down to ask front desk and we finally were able to make the bed after 11:30 when he was able to bring it up.
-Next morning I inquired with that same lady if she had a single King available in better shape because my daughter had concerns about the small kids and the cleanliness of the room. She looked and there weren't any available so her suggestion was to go to BiMart and buy an air mattress. Assuming again the room was too small when it definitely was not. She totally ignored my cleanliness issue comment.
-Elevator window cracked, unpainted, expired license.
-Really, I think that is enough said. And I think I'm missing somethings. We rented the room to rest, recuperate and was not able to do any of that. If we were different people, it would have spoiled the trip. But not having the means to vacation often as a family, we tried to make the best of it turning it more into sarcastic jokes. I know things cost money, but this definitely did not feel like a good or fair value for my money. Go visit it and see for yourself. Room 324, we also had room 325 which wasn't as bad. I never do reviews, but in this case, I think I have to make an exception. I'm sorry, but I could not find anything likable. Breakfast was terrible. Very dissapointed in an establishment that is under Choice Hotels.

Choice Hotels airline miles credit

I have been trying unsuccessfully for almost four months to have numerous stays at a Mobile, Alabama property credited to my airline miles account. The previous GM has been replaced, and the new GM is either "out of the office, "unavailable to take my call", "will return my call as soon as she is available", or when I finally reached her "does not think the miles will be credited retroactively", even after I told her that the Choice Customer supervisors have told me repeatedly that all she has to do is to authorize these stays. I have credit card receipts for each of these stays. I would appreciate it if I could have this issue resolved.

Choice Hotels I am an employee at holiday inn express in nacogdoches, texas I need to file a complaint against our current gm

I'm 48 yrs. old and have been in some form of maintenance or service position most of my life. I truly love the variety of ways you can make someone happy. I have been clean and sober for over 18 yrs now after my addiction to painkillers nearly destroyed me. I have a loving family now who mean the world to me. As you might imagine, good employment prospects are few and far between and I feel fortunate to have hired on at Holiday Inn Express in Nacogdoches, Tx.
Teresa Kees is our GM and I was familiar with her through my previous job. I new she could be difficult to work for, but I needed the work. She hired her son, Matt Kees as the Head Maintenance man. He is mentally unstable and has provided many challenges in his approach to basic tasks, especially after he gets high at work and goes missing for hours at a time. He has spent the last 6 weeks on one room replacing the tile and has only now completed 1 side of the shower. I spend my time correcting major structural damage due to water leaks. The walls at both ends of the building have rotted all the way to the stucco on the 2nd and third floors. Every PTAC unit in every room has been leaking into the walls and into the floor/ceiling below causing many curtain racks to fall from weakened sheet rock and mold has become rampant. Neglect and ignorance have taken the happiness out of this job as I am overwhelmed. Teresa is banking on her laurels and excuses Matt for his every action while cracking a whip on the rest of us. You may not be able to help me keep my job, but you are affiliated with our hotel and should be concerned about the manner in which this property is being managed. I walked out in frustration today. I need this job, but the owner is not concerned and neither is our DM(Charles). You don't have to take my word for it but if it is actionable on your part, I can get you pictures and can pass a drug test

Choice Hotels everything

I have a complaint about my stay at the Quality Inn O'hare.
I stayed July 20-21, 2017
Needless to say this room was so inadequate I couldn't even imagine what another Choice Hotel affiliate would be like. I just became a member with this hotel reservation.
The Tv remote was broke, the phone was broke, there were crumbs & dirt on the floor, stains on the blanket, hair on the bathroom floor & in the the tub. My son & i didn't even shower as i didn't know if your towels would even be clean. I made sure we wore socks the whole time while walking on the carpet. Since i couldn't call the front desk i went down there. She indicated she could get me a new tv remote but couldn't switch me to another room for the other issues as none were available. My receipt indicates my check out time as 1:45 which is incorrect. I left the key in the room & long departed before that so my assumption that is when they came &collected it.
I would have left but i needed a room & i know i would not have got my $100 credit.
I don't expect luxury for that price but i expect at least clean. I shudder to think if the place had a pool.

Choice Hotels confirmed reservations cancelled twice for same hotel

We had a class reunion for the weekend of July [protected]. We got a group code "5A2" rate at Sleep In JFK on Liberty Ave. in Queens NY. We booked this several months in advance of the stay.
On June 08th the Manager, Wendy Hardy, for the hotel informed our group that the Hotel had been fully booked and paid for and that she was unable to provide us with rooms. Even though a lot of us had already booked! She said she would find alternate rooms for us. (We did not trust that)
Note that many persons were coming from out of town and country and the reason we chose this hotel is for:
Shuttle service to Airport, Breakfast, Internet and Parking.
So with less than 2 months to go we had to find other accommodations, which we did further away with Marriott brand hotels in NJ. This was a bit more inconvenient but still feasible. We still got all the amenities we needed. We also lost some attendees because of your company's incompetence.
On June 16th we were contacted by Wendy asking us for our business back and saying that she could "Guarantee" the room this time at the rate we originally agreed on.
After consulting with the group we cancelled the rooms with Marriott in NJ and re-booked at Sleep Inn JFK since now it was "Guaranteed".
On July 12th, 2 day before our reunion, we were again informed by Wendy that we lost our rooms and that she would find accommodations for us at another Hotel. At this point we are at ransom. There is no way we can make alternate arrangements. We are all livid but have no recourse.
We end up staying in a Hotel called Hillside Hotel. There was:
No Shuttle
No Breakfast
No Parking
Only Internet.
We had to pay the same rate and we were severely inconvenienced.
Needless to say the whole experience sucked!
2 members of our group are travel agents and no brand of Choice hotels will ever be booked by us again for any client. we have never had that experience or anything close with Marriott hotels.
We demand compensation and we are anxious to hear what you intend to do about this. And we will be posting this on all travel blogs available to us.

Choice Hotels large barking dog

7/22/2017
Account [protected]
Comfort Suites (IA120), Nordic Drive, Cedar Falls, IA

At 9:30 pm we awoke to the barking of a large dog in room 132 adjacent to our room 130. We went back to sleep only to be awakened again by the barking of the large dog. After about the tenth repeat of this situation we called the front desk to complain. On the eleventh occurrence of the dog barking we went out into the hall in our night clothes to find the young man that had checked us in approaching with a young woman staff member. The young man knocked on the door of room 132, the dog inside again barked a number of times, and the young woman called out "Apollo".

We do not know if the young woman employee owned the dog, but she obviously knew the dog's name.

Subsequent to repeatedly being awakened by the barking dog we did not get to sleep until after midnight. This was not the restful nights stay we had paid for and feel restitution to us is in order. Reimbursement of $108.01 is requested.

Choice Hotels will not issue refund

Checked in at the Quality Inn and Suites Bayview in Pensacola Florida. 7601 Scenic Hwy Pensacola, Fl 32504, on July 10 and paid cash for the entire stay. We were scheduled to stay there 4 night and we told them that the card on file was just to hold the reservation and should not be charged. We decided to check out 2 days early because we thought the motel wasn't very clean and we weren't happy with the beach in Pensacola so we went to Destin for the remainder of our trip. When we checked out they said they would have to credit the debit card back. We were confused because they shouldn't have charged the card at all. We were told that the GM was in a meeting and could not come speak with us but the front desk clerk would relay the message. When the clerk went to refund the amount she ended up charging the debit card three more times for our stay. The front desk clerk said she would have the GM handle it after her meeting and have her call us. We called our bank to find out what we could do because our account was overdrawn $847 because of the Quality Inn and Suites. The bank said the GM had to fax over a sheet with information on it about the refund and the it had to be signed by the GM before the funds could be put back. We gave all this information to the front desk clerk to give to the GM. We called back that afternoon to see if the GM had faxed over the information and we were told she was still in a meeting and had not gotten to it yet. We called back the next day, July 13, because my payroll check was deposited into my account and because of the charges and overdraft fees it took my entire check. We were not able to pay important bills and we were only left with the cash we had on hand until this was resolved. After we found out nothing had been faxed over we called the Quality Inn and Suites again and we were told the GM was not in for the day yet. We explained to the front desk clerk what was going on because it was a different one from the day before and she said she would text her GM about the issue and they would call us back. We called back hours later and was told once again that the GM was not in and the bank informed us that the fax had not been sent in so the funds could not be released. Because of this more overdraft fees were charged to my account and my account was still negative. We were told she would in at 11:00 am on July 14 and we could call back and speak to her then. We were headed back home July 14 so we, once again, called the motel at 11:30 and, once again, we were told the GM was not in for the day yet. We left message after message for the GM with the front desk clerks. The late night front desk clerk on July 10 took our cash and told us that the card would not be charged. The next front desk clerk charged it and then charged it three more times. And spoke to the GM in person and told her the situation. And still the GM could not speak with us directly. On our way home we called again later that afternoon and was told the GM was not on property. Numerous messages were left for the GM to fax over the information and to call us back and she never did. I'm pretty sure the GM is suppose to handle situations like this instead of having the front desk clerk be the one to handle it. We called numerous time and left numerous messages and was never contacted back and nothing was faxed to the bank to release the funds in my account. I am furious! The GM at one point also told us she was not aware of the situation when we were at the front desk when the clerk went to the back to tell her the situation. I'm furious at the fact that the General Manager of this motel didn't think it was important enough to contact us to resolve this issue. We were charged $1400 for a 2 night stay at the Quality Inn and Suites and I want that back. I want my money back and I want the overdraft fees paid back to us. All she had to do was fax a piece of paper to fix this and she didn't do it. We gave her plenty of information to get this done and she still did not do it. We asked if there was an assistant manager and we were told there wasn't one to speak to. So she was the only one that could resolve the issue and she didn't. I'm hoping since I am reaching out to HR/corporate about this issue that this issue will be resolved and maybe the GM of the Quality Inn and Suites will learn how to deal with a situation like this. Thank you!

Choice Hotels clarion inn hotel in pueblo colorado

We called to ensure they offered a hot buffet breakfast before making reservations but we we arrived in the dining area for breakfast there was a giant board stating that they were sorry but as of July 12th the hot buffet breakfast would no longer be served. They should have mentioned this when we called. The white blanket on our bed appeared to have yellow urine stains on it so I requested for a new clean blanket but the second one turned out to be dirtier then the first one was. The hot tub did not work it was cold and dirty and when I asked the man restocking the pool towels if he could check why the hot tub wasn't hot he just said no I can't do that, it's the managers job. Which apparently he never even told because no one ever came to check why it wasn't working at all. We also had a problem with our room keys not working on the second day. When I asked Angela at the front desk if she could reprogram them she kept asking well are you sure your using the right door? As if I was stupid or something. The whole experience was rude, dirty and unsatisfactory. I am requesting compensation for our stay. The two blankets alone were enough to make me never want to stay there again. It was nasty.

Thank you,
Angela Coffey

I wanted to bring to your attention something that happened after my stay at your Lewisville, MS Quality Inn. I used a credit card that I rarely use and hadn't been used in months. I stayed at your hotel on 6/26 and on 6/29 multiple charges and attempted charges were put on my card that I used. I am 100% sure the information was compromised from your hotel and possibly by your employee(s). I have resolved the issue with my CC company, but thought you may want to do an internal investigation. I am not sure how many other travelers have also been victims, but in this small town you are limited on where to stay. I also know many people will not reach out if they have resolved the financial issue. I elected to write to you instead of the police so you can take action.

I, for one will not return nor do I feel safe using your hotel. Again, do as you wish with this information, but I felt a duty to report it to you.

L. Duncan

Choice Hotels unauthorized use of credit card charges

I booked three rooms At the Comfort Inn & Suits In Ann Arbor, Mi. For two nights. June 19th -21th. When we arrived I paid cash totaling $620.96. I asked for a receipt but was told I would get it at check out. The day we checked out our receipts were slid under our doors. I gave them their keys back and left with out looking at them. When we got home. I checked my account and seen they had taken out $ 200.84, for a room that was paid for in cash. I called them on June 25th, and they assured me that t would be refund back to my account. It has not been, and I have heard nothing from them. I would like my money back that they had no right to take.

Choice Hotels substandard room quality/check-in delay

Our complaint is about the Clarion Inn, 9956 Hawaiian Ct, Orlando, FL 32819. We booked our two night stay reservations through priceline. Check-in time was supposed to be after 4pm. On June 23, 2017 (we were celebrating 0ur 37th wedding anniversary) we arrived at 4:38pm, however there were no 1st floor rooms ready (I'm a disabled Veteran with lumbar and cervical spine problems). We were told to leave and come back in an hour. I said that we would get something to eat and come back. I did ask to have a room with a fridge and the staff member assured me that we would have a fridge. Upon our return we were assigned room #188. Upon entering the room we noticed that the rug was extremely worn and musty odor. The bathtub had rust inside and outside of it (see photos), a dead fly was in the doorway of the bathroom, the light fixture over the sink was broken and after a few hours we noticed that the fridge was not cooling. I called the front desk and someone showed up an hour later. He examined the fridge and said that we should not put too much in there although we only had a few bottles of water and my medication (insulin). He stated that it was a slow running fridge and it may just take a longer while to cool and there was nothing else he could do. Needless to say, my medication spoiled and had to be thrown out the next morning and I had to drive 20 miles back to our home to get more. We left at 8:25am to get my medicine, when we returned at 1pm, the room still had not been cleaned, beds unmade and the trash was not emptied. Someone from housekeeping had come and taken the dirty towels but they were not replaced with any clean ones. I called the front desk and mentioned that the only thing done in the room was the dirty towels were removed. His response was somewhat hostile and he snapped back and said "do you need fresh towels RIGHT this moment?" He informed me that the rooms are still in the process of being cleaned. about 2pm someone from housekeeping knocked on the door and asked if we needed anything. I responded, if she could at least get us some more towels, and she said not yet, because they were in the laundry. She came back about 45 minutes later with towels. This was supposed be our 37th anniversary getaway. Instead of resting and relaxing, we were dealing with the anxiety of a substandard room and poor service. I had $100 worth of medication spoil because of an inadequate refridgerator, and I had to drive back home in the middle of our getaway to get replacement medicine, only to return to an uncleaned room with no towels. I would say that a refund is in order for having to put up with the unnecessary difficulties that we encountered in this hotel. In the past, I have stayed at other ChoiceHotels, and never experience such a foul smelling substandard room and terrible housekeeping practices. I am even more disappointed because being an African American, I have experience being treated like a second class citizen before, and perhaps if we were a different skin color, more care and concern would have been extended to us.

Choice Hotels no breakfast items, bad check and check out service

We stayed at the Econo Hotel in Suffolk, Va. June 15, 2017 to June 18, 2017. What a TERRIABLE EXPERIENCE.
When we arrived staff person was eating in lobby with television playing LOUDLY. She wrote down the numbers to my credit card before she swiped it into the machine.
Room had a very strong odor of bleach for the first two days we were there, it was clean but not the best odor for a room.
Breakfast (continental)was a huge joke. no milk for cereal, tiny muffins, none or very little to spread on bread or tiny bagels, juice machine broken( container of juice on counter).
Loud music from other guests at all hours, beer cans left on window sills of windows.
Air condoned door broken off and laying on top.
Resolution:
I would like part of my money refunded to me.

Choice Hotels unpleasant experience at quality suites in huntsville, tx

To whom it may concern:

My wife and I come to Huntsville, Texas every summer along with our son and his friends for a week long football camp at Sam Houston State University. We are currently staying at the Quality Suites which was Comfort Suites. We also have other friends that stay here too because of our past experiences. We understand that there has been a owner change and his name is Parm. There were a couple of reasons that we stayed here again. The management team that started with Jessica and Lori were always outstanding and were always willing to make our stay as pleasant as possible. I would like to point them out as they are great examples of excellent representation of how Choice Hotels employees should be. We also enjoyed the free breakfast that is provided with our stay. When we arrived at breakfast at 8:00am, there was hardly anything out on the bars. There was absolutely no syrup for the waffles and no milk. I turned around to see Lori who is now maintenance. She apologized again and again. She let us know that the management had changed and we feel as if things have gone downhill since then. There are very unhappy employees that work here. She was trying to do her best to provide a breakfast because the lady who was supposed to come in at 5am, did not call or show up. This shows that there are definitely issues that need to be resolved. Jessica came and said that she would head to the store to pick up these items that were missing. This is totally uncalled for. They informed us saying that they used to order supplies as needed, but with the new management, things have changed and all they can do is provide the list to them to order. These 2 ladies have went above and beyond their duties and we appreciate it. One of our beds in our room is broken. When a person sits down or lays down it raises up on the other side and then bangs loudly if you get up which I'm sure is a nuisance to guests in the room below us. Also, there are several lights in the stairways that don't work because it is almost impossible to see the stairs when going up or down. It's just a matter of time that someone trips and falls. The outside key reader doesn't unlock the door from the outside and therefore have to walk around to the front which is not very pleasing when your arms are full or weather is inclement. The 3rd floor hallway is extremely hot and humid. We are only on day 1 and are very unpleased and disappointed so far with our stay. We stay at numerous Choice Hotels across the country because we travel often, but may reconsider with other experiences such as this. We are also BlueGreen Vacation owners and know that they are associated with Choice Hotels. We will contact them also to let them know if these issues aren't resolved. This is not fair to the employees or the guests who stay here who are actually the ones keeping the doors open. We hope these issues can and will be resolved in a timely manner. Please feel free to contact me by phone or email. Thanks!

Seth S.
