blocked account
Since December last year, I have been receiving letters and notices that my account will be blocked if I do not contact the bank. I have been contacting the bank from December to today at least 2 times a month. And every time I called I spoke to a different operator and they all did not know what it was about and they had no record of all the times I got in touch with the bank for the same problem, and they all told me that there was nothing wrong with my account that was for me to disregard the warnings. However, at the beginning of this month, my account was blocked preventing me from accessing it for 3 weeks. I have been calling desperately all these days to unlock my account, but no operator knew what it was wrong, nor the supervisors knew to answer me why my account was blocked, I requested the immediate unblocking since there was no reason for such a blockage and even that they could not do, also did not know why they were not able to unlock. I have several accounts in automatic debit in my account that was not paid and is now charging me interest, I made a thousand dollar transfer to my account and the bank disappeared with my money. I demand that they take responsibility for all the fees and penalties that they will charge me and they say yes, but now upon entering my account I have seen that they are charging me the fees. This is absurd and a lack of respect for the client, I have never been through so much stress and embarrassment in my life and even more because I owe nothing to the bank at all. I demand a retraction and that all the fees and penalties that are going to be charged to me that the bank arises with all of them. Thank you!

trip delay protection
We pay extra for the aadvantage citicard to get the travel insurance protection. On may 20th 2018 my husband had a flight delayed 2 hours resulting in a missed connection, no flights out until the next day, his arrival was delayed 15 hours. The airline claimed it was weather related and did not offer any voucher or even a discount coupon for the hotel that night. Submitted a claim to the citicard insurance for the hotel room under the trip delay protection. The claim was denied because the first flight was not delayed 12 hours. When I pointed out he then missed the connection resulting in a 15 hour trip delay I was told the insurance does not cover missed flights. Not sure how they get away with this, seems like an insurance scam to me. On top of it all they insist a denial letter was mailed 2 weeks ago, we never received it. I called them 2 days ago and was told an adjustor would call me within 2 business days, did not get a call.
Do not count on the travel protection coverage on this card.

The phone recipient was very rude and dismissive. She was not a good listener. Too quick to say no to a request. She is not customer-centric. Her tone of voice gives the impression that she's rolling her eyes over the phone. Staff needs to be retrained with manners and patience. If I didn't advocate for myself, she would have never processed my request. She was worse than the service I receive at a DMV. If you don't know what that means then perhaps I will rethink about banking with Citibank. This is not the only time this happened. Another employee was also very rude to my mother who is a Citigold holder but because of her accent, phone person was plain rude, disrespectful in a manner in which her speech and tonality was delivered. Citibank needs to up their game in raising a culturally competent standard.

citi bank platinum debit card - fuel reversal of 0.75% not paid
I am using citi bank platinum debit card on IOCL petrol pumps for fuel purchase in India. Earlier I was getting fuel reversal of 0.75% on same fuel pumps but from 27th March, 2018 onwards, I haven't received the reversal
Already raised, 221806627 and nsr18031744 complaints via citi bank customer care. But, they say that those fuel pumps are not listed with citi bank.
But, on citi bank website, it's written that if we swipe citi bank debit card on any IOCL(indian oil) fuel pumps, we do get 0.75% reversal. There is no list mentioned as such.
I have swiped on few more petrol pumps but I am not getting fuel reversal from 27th March, 2018
citi double cash credit card
I have reported to Citi Cards that my credit card was compromised on May 18, 2018. Somebody stole my Citi Double Cash credit card numbers and made 4 fake transactions with the card. However, one fake transaction was not removed. I have contacted citi cards at least 5 times about this transaction. Every time when I contacted citi card customer service I was promised that this transaction would be removed from my account in 5-7 business days. However, after a month this transaction is still on my account. Now this fake transaction that was made for the amount of $166.57 from Quality Inn Hotel in Renton WA is on my Citi Card June statement.

Although the offer was interesting but i'm feel uncomfortable when chat with the staff.. terrible customer service experience
I have been on the phone with Citi Card representatives since 9 AM and it is now 10:54 AM and my issue was still not solved. I had to hang up on me after I asked them for specific information and rather than answer my questions they took time to review my account when all I needed was a due date so that I can make a payment. I originally called because I was locked out of my account I am still locked out of my account after three phone calls to assist me with being locked out of my account.

I attempted a wire transfer on May 21, 2018. (Reference number 9F46W5K8)
The initial error was on my part - I entered an incorrect account number for a wire transfer I wished to make. I very quickly called Citibank to fix the error and was told that I would be able to adjust the account number immediately and the transfer would be fixed within a week. This was very important to me, as the funds had a deadline after which I would incur a fee. I was making sure to submit the money two weeks before the deadline and was assured the transfer would be done in time.
However, the bank had already returned the money, so the account number could not be adjusted. Citibank did not return my money to me and did not bother to inform me that the transaction had failed, instead sending me a notification that I should wait until I received further information. I checked my messages, contacted the recipient bank, and two weeks later the deadline arrived and I had no idea what was going on. I was finally able to get through to customer service, and only then learned that the transaction had failed weeks ago, and instead of informing me, Citibank simply held on to the money returned. According to the federal policy that was read to me when I first had to make an adjustment, Citibank is supposed to inform me of the results.
My biggest complaint is this - it should not take two weeks and my actively inquiring after the state of the transfer for Citibank to tell me that it failed. I should have received notice within a day of that occurring. I was also told that I could fix this error at no cost, and had two options - adjust the transfer at no cost, or cancel and send a new one at no cost. Citibank failed the transfer and I incurred a fee. When the transfer failed, I should have been given the option to cancel at no cost and send a new transfer, since it was within the original time frame and technically the adjustment was not, in fact, an option for me. At the very least, if the recipient bank will not waive the fee I do not think that I should have to cover it.

I called the toll-free number for Citibank's Diamond Preferred credit card on May 19 to request my PIN. I have had the card since 1979 and probably received a PIN back then, but have long forgotten it. I used their automated option to request it be sent to me, and the recording said to allow 7 to 10 days.
On June 1, having not received it, I called again and was told that it should only take 7 days and that it would be resent. The customer service rep asked me to go to the USPS and ask if they had any mail for me from Citibank. I told him it was a lot more likely that the Postal Service had mixed it in with someone else's mail (I live in a 400 unit apartment building).
Anyway, my REAL gripe is that I had to go through 27 (that's right, 27!) menu options to get to one that put me through to a live person at Citibank. (it was the very last option). Obviously, Citibank wants to do all it can to force a person to 1) either use one of the 26 options or 2) go online. Why can't Citibank offer the option to talk to a "live" person at the beginning of the call?

In error, I was being charged a $25.00 monthly fee for my Citibank checking account, I've had a checking account with Citibank for over twenty years, I went to two NYC branches to resolve this matter, and either branch had a manager on duty. United Nations branch on 1st Avenue and 49th street, and 3rd Avenue and 46th. This I found very frustrating. I was told by personal Banker Mr. Nerys Feliz that he can ONLY reimburse for two months. I would have to make a complaint to be reimbursed in full. With no fault of mine that I was put in the wrong checking bracket. I just wish I had caught this much earlier. Yes, I meet ALL qualifications for free checking. I've had direct deposit with Citibank for more than 20 years, and I pay all my bills on line and I'm sixty two years of age. I wasn't able to make a purchase. I called the number on the card. They couldn't send me a text to verify my account. They then said they would send me letter in the mail. 3 weeks later and I still can't use my card, make a payment, or log into the app. I have spent hours on the phone. Even gave them another credit card number to verify my account and they still can't. Never had this many issues and they still haven't made it right. They all do the same thing with no resolution. I'm guessing they are trying to make my payment late and charge a fee. Worst customer service

Tried to open an account online with Citibank, there was information missing, they called me to send the information, I sent the information and haven't heard from them anymore. I decided to call and, for my suprised, my application was closed already. They say they closed on May 14th, but I have a letter from Citibank dated May 15th in regard of my application.
I called them and they basically said "nothing that we can do. If you want an account with Citinbank, you gotta redo everything. If you don't, it's closed already"

I opened a account may 19 2018 at the branch 3333 e Tropicana AVE Las Vegas NV 89121. Cris d cabera assistant branch manager opened my account provided me my checking account package. I made a check deposit as well 1, 140.19 . The check was verified and safe to deposit or cash. By May 21, 2018 . My account was in good standards with no transactions no activities no transactions just the deposited check pending for clearing and processing, may 22, 2018 . Out of no where my account was locked out. I visited the branch in questions to why. I was told different accuses but was not giving a reason why. All reasons was assuming fraud but no fraud was done. Then I was informed thsat I had 7 accounts opened or tried to open with CITIBANK. In the past. But I never had accounts with Cori bank in the past. I told them I was a victim of identity theft. I asked was any balances owed in the ACCounts when was they opened. CITIBANK couldn't justify or provide facts. I lost my job today because of citi bank falsely locked my ACCount I could not use my money in account for gas. I have not ate food due to the hold on my account for a check that has cleared and is good. Rent is due on the first. CITIBANK refuses to let me accuse my money which then I'll be evicted over assumptions and bogus unknown past accounts I know nothing of.
past due follow-up, ruining my credit score
Let it be known that less than $35 in charges to my card, that I had to make to keep it active I believe, has created multiple months of past due late fees and interest charges as it was paperless, not to my knowledge. With that said I probably clicked "paperless" accidentally because of tricky placement because companies want customers to be paperless; the dialog box consumed the better portion of my screen. What's worse is no one called when my count was 15 - 30 plus days past due. I can understand if Citi waited till I was at 31-32 days late to call. But no, City waited, waited and didn't call or leave a message. I only happened to be in my email, which I don't check regularly as personal email, and found multiple late fees to the tune of another $37 twice and interest charges. Having basically eradicated most of my debt and increase my credit score to 770, I was ecstatic. Nonetheless, I'm depressed, disheartened and speechless as my credit score has dropped to the mid 600's. I virtually have no way to raise it again as I do not have enough debt to pay-off to compensate such a hike in the score. My initial call to City resulted in a feeling that they were not interested in my credit score and there was nothing that could be done. I will argue with that! On the second call a fellow in the Escalation Unit name Robert was able to provide contact info for credit reporting disputes. I would bet there are repetitive cases like mine where customers had debt, were assessed late fees unknowingly and without any voicemail messages from the company, not to mention the tricky layout of the paperless option causing unpaid bills because of an unintentional click that went unnoticed. This would be a great setting for a civil action suit.
Keep track of your own bills and pay them on time, and you wouldn't have these issues.

I pay my monthly credit card balance every month. I did not receive prior month statement and on the statement I received today in the mail it showed a $25 penalty and $19.49 interest charge. I asked them to be waived since I didn't receive the statement. This had happened in Sept and I was quoted by multiple Citibank employees upon escalation that Citibank policy is one reversal in a 12 month period.
I worked for Citibank as a Senior VP for 13 years and was not able to escalate any higher.
If these charges are not reversed I plan to stop using the card as well as my family will stop using Citibank Visa cards.
