I was a "Chapstick addict." I could not stand for my lips to feel the least bit dry, and when they did, and no lip balm was close by, I would end up chewing on my own lips until they were sore. I tried lip glosses several times, but they were always thick and gloppy. Colored ones would bleed over my lip edges and look clown-like. One day I came across a City Lips ad online. I decided to try the clear City Lips and was, and am, so pleased. I keep one in my purse, one in my car, and one in my make-up dish. I always apply it in the morning and night with my moisturizers, and often during the day or over lipstick. City Lips does plump a little bit, and even though clear, seems to add just a hint of natural color. I think it might have diminished my lip lines somewhat, but regardless, I love it for its comfortable moisturizing effect.

I love the conditioning from City Lips! My lips have never been softer or smoother & I've used lip balms, chapsticks, conditioning/hydrating lip gloss/lipsticks since using lip smackers as a kid! Lol I wasn't interested in the plumping effect and actually was concerned about the possibility of fat duck lips but after a month of use, my lips are definitively plumper but have retained their shape & really look great! I was pleasantly surprised! It's long-lasting & has no unpleasant taste or scent! Another concern I had was whether or not it would effect lipstick application but as long as you wait awhile or blot lips, there's no interference with your lipstick! I like the clear for applying overnight or non make-up days & also love the tinted for light make-up days! If your lips are dry, thin or have wrinkles, I highly recommend this product!

I will continue to buy this product! I purchased City Lips to combat dryness and lines (which to me seem like canyons) on/in my lips. At first look I thought it might be goopy or have a weird sheen to it. Much to my surprise it isn't sticky or sparkly. I didn't feel the "plumping" tingle. I had to use a lip exfoliant nightly and after regular use of City Lips I no longer have to. I keep City Lips on my nightstand and put it on when I go to bed. I use it in the morning as well. It looks great alone (it enhances your natural lip color) or over lipstick. It does stay on throughout the night. When I use it at night I extend it past my lip lines. I've only had this for about 2 months and I haven't seen much change with lines on the outside of my lips. I don't smoke but I drank/drink out of straws everyday of my life which equals lines. The canyons I had in my lips are less noticeable! I need to buy another to keep in my purse!

City Lips review: I am a 75-year-old woman with very good skin, more like a 55-year-old woman, but my lips have become very lined and are getting thinner. Definitely a look I don't like. I have tried every product imaginable, and none do anything more then plump my lips for a short time with no lasting effect at all. Then I tried CITY LIPS. I ordered two tubes to start, and I am now on my second order of two. It is an amazing product! It really does work. It almost removes completely the lines on my lower lip and lasts quite a long time. There is nothing like it on the market, and I am thrilled to finally find a product that works. I use it in the morning and at bedtime, and I'm going to add a half filled tube to my purse to use when I am out for more than eight hours. So far, I have only tried the clear, but it leaves my lips a nice rosy hue. I think I'll try a colored one next. It is a bit pricey, but really worth it! Thank you for finally making a product that lives up to its claims!

Due to the great reviews posted about clear City Lips lip plumper-thought I'd give it a try. But NOT so much for the plumping affect-but for help with dry cracked lips which is a residential hazard living here in the frozen tundra of Upstate NY. I've tried everything-all the usual brands you can think of-some were sort of effective for maybe an hour or so but none ever really lived up to their claims, so why not give City Lips a try? Let me say... YES! It REALLY works! First, the size of the product was surprising...meaning it's quite a LARGE fat tube (.16 FL OZ). The lip gloss itself is very thick-so frankly not much is needed when applying. And its WAY moisturizing. Somewhere on their Facebook page, I read their recommendation on applying the clear gloss before bed so it can work it's magic. I apply at nite, in the AM, and usually again during the day ( I work in a very dry office)...after (2) weeks or so of using it regularly, my cracked dry lips are gone! But frankly, my lips felt better right away and yes,they look fuller too. I totally recommend!

I started out by "trying" City Lips - 1 tube - and fell in love. It has changed the texture and fullness of my lips. I love the clear but am also branching out into some other colors and finding that they are just as fabulous! I think that Crimson is the best color ever! I then got an offer to try the Line-Blurring Wrinkle Filler and ordered that and Multi-Action Sculpting Cream (an "add-on" offer). These products made an immediate difference in my skin, especially the Sculpting Cream. My skin was noticeably softer and smoother the first time I used it over my current serum and moisturizer. The Wrinkle Filler was the icing on the cake. I immediately took a picture and sent it to a friend who went online and ordered the product. After trying these products, I admit that I am sold on City Beauty. The quality and price point cannot be matched. I did significant research before even ordering City Lips because I spend too much money on skincare and make-up that I get and never use. But now, I am ready to try more of the product line. Thank you for great products!

Absolutely disgusting customer service. They just decided to cancel my order just because I asked if an item could be changed for another instead of replying saying it wasn't possible, they simply canceled the entire order. When I told them I didn't want to cancel never asked to cancel, they told me to reorder. It happens that I placed , a second order in a few days, for the black friday sale. Prices was much cheaper. If I was to reorder would be over 200 dollars more expensive for the same items. After that they stopped replying. Shy is who canceled my order and then disappear conveniently. Time to change to The Ayurveda Expensive exclusively, which is an amazing company all around

Wow. I see this company has had the same complaints for years now. I obviously should have done my research before trying them out... Unbelievable to see that they have STILL not changed the misleading pop-up format on their site nor do they include a Summary Page of your order before submitting it. One can only deduce that these confusing/misleading features are intentional in order to defraud customers.

I had the same experience as most others on here - ie. ended up placing 2 separate orders when just trying to place 1 order with the 'wonderful' pop-up Add-on product. After receiving confirming emails for 2 separate orders, I immediately called their customer service. And I DID actually get someone on the line right away and she DID refund one of my orders right away. That part was fine, sounds like I got lucky there. However, I then had something very strange and annoying happen.

I continued to check on my order status and there was no change in it - though I had already been charged for the products. So I emailed customer service just to check that things were still alright with my order. I was told "Due to overwhelming demand, we are experiencing longer processing times and limited supply." So, ok, I thought, I'll just be a patient a little longer and wait. A couple more weeks go by and still no change on my order status (still just said PENDING or UNFULFILLED (or something to that effect) and TRACKING NUMBER NOT AVAILABLE). So I replied to that prior email I'd received from a very nice customer rep. I said that since my order had still not been shipped or processed or anything, might it be possible to switch one of the products for another (of the same price). Just a simple question. I get a reply back a couple days later from the same customer rep saying, "I am sorry to say there is no way to exchange or switch the orders so we canceled and refunded it so you can order what you want."!?! What the heck? I did not ask for my order to be cancelled! I'd sent a very friendly email just asking about the possibility of modifying my order while it was delayed anyway!

On top of this - not only did they cancel my order against my wishes, but the refund they issued was LESS than what I paid them due to the CAN-USD exchange! So I LOST money on products I never received nor asked to be cancelled! This really ticked me off so I wrote them back expressing very clearly why I was so upset. I then received a reply from a different customer rep. Once again, I got this: "I would like to explain that we are unable to switch out the products in an order once its place." Which was followed by a whole bunch of information regarding a sale that they're currently having! So not only did they not give me an explanation for the prior customer service rep's unsolicited cancellation of my order AND my LOSING MONEY on it, but then they tried to SELL me more products! Wouldn't you think a company would try to appease and make amends with a brand new customer? Maybe even send a free gift of the order THEY cancelled so I could try it? This company is insane and not to be trusted. I do not understand how they have not been investigated and shut down.

had placed an order on Saturday July 15th for what I thought would be a buy 2 get a free product of the City beauty wrinkle filler.(Or something along that sort) I do not remember now. The website took me to another page made another offer for a different product I did not want any additional products. You ended up charging my card for two separate amounts $146.15 & $112.58. Your website is very deceptive you are steeling people’s money. I didn’t authorize the other products that were sent and I was charged for. So now I have all these products that I DO NOT WANT and was charged close to $260.00. And to top it off never received the free gift promised. I should have read the reviews before placing a order however, the one and only time I didn’t . THIS HAPPENS.

I would like to return these products and be credited back to my card. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD! Word of mouth on social media platforms goes a long way.

This is my email to City Beauty: I ordered and received your city lips gloss a couple of weeks ago. Today I received and email asking for my opinion. I filled out the form and it went to a page saying the site was having issues with the form submission. Instead your company sent me another email saying my order had been processed! I did not order and I did not ever sign up for receiving the product on a subscription basis. I called and the representative said she cancelled the order and subscription that I never signed up for or requested. The charge is already on my credit card and I was told the refund will take 7-10 business days, meanwhile my card will accrue interest on a charge that I did not authorize. I cannot believe a company can get away with this. Not only this, but the product itself was not as advertised and I certainly was not happy with it which was the opinion I was trying to submit when you charged me for another product! I feel duped and I am furious with you and with myself for falling for your scam. I would give minus zero stars for this company if I could.

Clearly you want my "honest opinion" only if I'm happy with your product! I filled out your response twice, honestly, but it wouldn't go through either time, so the third time I clicked on Excellent, and naturally, it DOES go through now! What a scam this is! I'm terribly disappointed that the CLEAR lip gloss is not only NOT clear, but a dark color. I put in on and around my lips, hoping to plump that skin as you advertise it will do, but I walked by a mirror and saw what looked like a drunken ***! I had maroon slathered all around my mouth. I'm only grateful that I saw myself in a mirror before I went out! If I wanted to look like a $10 ***, I wouldn't spend so much money on lip color! It was horrifying! But you obviously didn't want to know my honest opinion, or you would have allowed me to tell you without pretending that I think it's an "excellent" product. You can be sure I will never buy from you again, and I will warn my friends to steer clear of your product unless they're trying for the cheap *** look, maybe for Halloween. I'm sure I won't be seeing MY honest opinion in your notes. Ha!

I ordered my first product from this company because the product sounded very good. When I Went on line to order was given a price for "City Lips" $39.95. After I entered all my credit card information etc. another section came up that said "special offer" 2 for $50. That sounded good, so I agreed. No where was it apparent that this was in addition to the first one for $39.95. This is very deceptive advertising. My order was confirmed with my address, but not my total. Then several days later I received a message "Thank you for my order" and it appeared two orders. It was the weekend and I tried to call customer service and was told closed until Monday. I called today to explain that I certainly did not want to spend $89.95 and was told the items have been shipped and any returned items would have to be returned at my expense. This certainly does not seem to be a reputable company. There were other offers that fortunately I ignored. This company has very deceptive advertising and made sure by the time I was aware of what I was being charged, they already processed the item. I see now on this website that other people have had the same experience. Beware of City Beauty

I recently ordered (3) tubes of line blurring wrinkle filler on a special deal. As soon as the order was completed I recvd notification that I was going to be sent additional product, they had doubled the order. So I immediately sent an e-mail to get it straightened out.They answered by saying that a cust svc specialist would contact me within 48 hrs, so I immediately tried phoning them & waited on the line 35 mins before giving up. I subsequently tried phoneing twice the following day to no avail. I never heard back from them so I sent a second e-mail and recvd no answer so I sent a 3rd e-mail explaining everything & all I got was
Info about tracking which had absolutely nothing to do with my concerns, so I sent A 4th e-mail and recvd a reply that there was a 60 day money back guarantee. So if & when I do recv the order I can send it back for a refund. But after dealing with this company I have absolutely no belief that I will ever get my money back. I am a senior & can not afford the extra expence they are piling on me.I live in Canada so there is a high rate of exchange on our money and they have doubled it by sending extra product that I DO NOT WANT.

CityBeauty makes some really outstanding products, I have made 3 orders since this review, and have had a great experience with their customer service when I needed to contact them over the phone. I particularly like the CityLips clear plumping lip gloss. It is like no other for its moisturizing quality. My only two complaints at the time of this review, is most of the lip colors seem to be somewhat "juvenile" and I am hoping they come out with some other colors for mature ladies. Second, at the time of this review, the checkout process can be a bit much, as it is one of those aggressive "direct-response offer" type checkouts, you can accidentally click on something you do not want before confirmation on your purchase. Besides that, CityBeauty does have a line of superb high-quality products. I really suggest giving them a try, I can see CityBeauty is a younger company, but they are working out the kinks to improve customer service and products. They do good to keep in contact with customers through email and offer some great discounts if you sign up for their email or text message offers. I really suggest giving them a try, I do recommend them to friends and family. I really am pleased with my purchases so far.

I fell for their product with the "doctor" in her white lab coat... I purchased their lip plumper and top lip wrinkle remover cream, (which I never received). The lip plumper did nothing! Absolutely nothing! It's an expensive nice smelling glossy gel that does nothing. Because it was a special I received 3 of these worthless lip plumbers. I should have done my homework and researched this company. But I didn't and when Ii looked at my PayPal account the next morning I realized i was charged twice not just a charge for all of the products on one billing which was confusing! When I wrote to cancel (again it was the following morning) they quickly wrote back that I couldn't cancel my order because it has already been shipped out and because it was their "special" there was no way they could stop the order. Bottom line: City Beauty is a rip off and they scammed me out of money and they lied about their product. I gave each of my friends a tube of the lip plumper and all of them said after using it that they noticed nothing different and didn't want the product, saying also it is a scam. Also, the very "positive" reviews posted here are most likely paid for. Unless they are making some products that are placebo's. Either way I felt scammed. .

As a first time customer, I ordered a jar of City Beauty Blue Defense HydroGel. The order was supposed to come with a free gift of the lip product which was a nice incentive. At checkout, I was offered a second jar at a reduced price, which I added to the order. Then I received an email stating the order was delayed. Days later, I chatted with a customer service rep to see when my order would be fulfilled. He told me the free gift would not be included and that my order had not shipped. After a long chat, he said I would receive a refund for the order and the product would be sent at no charge as a courtesy. They shipped the product (I have not received it yet) but did not provide the refund. The second agent I chatted with said he had no record of the refund offer and that nothing would be done. When I contacted them the first time it was to determine when my order would be shipped. They could have provided a different free gift if they were out of stock. I did not expect a refund but it was offered and I thought that was exceptional customer service - but it was not true! I would hesitate to order from this company again as they did not keep their word - whether I like the product or not! It's been way too much work just to get the product.

I placed an order on October 11th on a very large credit card which I have not used for some number of months. This is a Premier account at HSBC. All of a sudden the fraud unit from HSBC contacted me that charges were coming through on my account and asked if I was making them. The answer was no. They were 340.00, 470,00, 1140.00 and varying amounts before they were stopped. They explained to me that it was most likely the processor that the company uses for its credit cards, which is generally where the fraud occurs. I called the 800 number. I asked to speak to someone in corporate who could assist me with this issue. The woman I spoke with said they would forward the information but that was all they could do. I told her I really did not want to go on Facebook and say what happened but that I was not about to sit by and do nothing. I explained that the next day HSBC was putting me in touch with their investigative unit and also the FBI, and that one way or another they would be contacted. I got nowhere. I asked to speak with her supervisor. He said the same. I told him the same. He said he would forward my request that they contact me but could make no promises. I will not be re-ordering from a company where it is impossible to get past customer service.

I went to purchase a 2 jar quantity from the 1st page of the website. I put it all my info then went to click "submit" and was immediately taken to these different OFFERS pages. Suddenly I've bought ANOTHER 3 jar supply! I call them Friday evening (east coast time) when I made the purchase and they are closed. So I call first thing this morning an hour after they have opened and they have already shipped my product and I cant get my money back on the 3 pack I dont need. Really? Now ... I'm a new customer wanting to take advantage of the 60 day offer. I havent tried this product yet. Why would I want to buy 5 jars? And why can I not get my money back. Feels like a scam on the website. As a customer... if I have already decided from the 1 st page to click 2 JARS, then I take the time to fill out all the info and click SUBMIT ... I expect to get a confirmation of my purchase. NOT 4 more pages full of "special deals". Im a new customer and haven't tried your product yet ... why would I want to invest over $200? Terrible marketing scam for new customers. Those deals are deals you should be offering to "repeat" customers. I'm willing to keep the original order for $88 but wish I could get my money back for the additional 3 jars. I dont need 5 jars for a 60 day trial :(

DO NOT BUY WITHOUT READING REVIEWS! I am so sorry I did not read reviews before I purchase the City Beauty products. I can honestly say that it was the WORST ONLINE EXPERIENCE that I have ever had with a company! Their checkout process is completely a SCAM. When you go to purchase their products, the offer goes from BOGO, to B2G4 and on and on. I committed to one City Lips with the other free, then paid. However multiple offers kept popping up. I thought I had checked out and was trying to get out of their app, but I must've clicked unintentionally on something else! Reliable websites do not do this to customers at checkout. Later when I saw that there were 2 separate orders, I attempted to email the company that I did not want the 2nd product. I then got an email saying the product had been shipped and again I attempted to cancel the order. I got an email saying that it was too late and the only thing that I could do was the 60-day money back guarantee. I said that I would like a manager to call me and asked for a shipping label for the return. The products arrived and I received an email later saying that I could return the unintended item, but I would have to cover the shipping cost! THIS IS NOT A LEGITIMATE COMPANY AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! They intentionally try to scam unknowing consumers with multiple products.

I am a first time customer and on the checkout screen, when purchasing 2 items, a pop up screen flashed touting that I would save $30 on a 3rd tube so my order would be $75 (instead of $66). Note: I had not yet finalized my purchase yet nor had I seen an itemization of a receipt. I clicked on the additional 3rd tube to save money (an additional fee of $9), raising my total from $66 to $75. Or so I thought. As soon as I clicked on that item, paid, and exited the browser then I received not one but two emails with two separate order numbers. I then proceeded to send Customer Service a total of four email requests asking for a refund of the 1st charge of $66 and I would pay the $75 charge. To date I have had no reply even after letting them know I am a first time customer. I am so disappointed and am skeptical to even try the product now. I am still waiting for refund(s). The pop up advertising on the check out screen was very misleading as it did not state that your purchase had been charged ( or that you had authorized a purchase) and that a second transaction fee would be charged SEPARATELY. It was not in fact a bonus as described in the ad. This is very deceptive and so incredibly misleading. I really was excited to try this product by this company but I can't get happy about a company who mishandles your money and abuses your trust. Worse, this company has ignored all of my refund request emails.
