Shame on you Closet World
I hired Closet World on 3/18/25 to make and install a closet in my home. I gave them a deposit of $1816.00 which is half the cost of the closet. When the sales person came I asked if they came out on Saturdays, she said yes. So we spent time planning out the design of the closet and the costs. Once we had agreed to the design and cost I advised her that I did want to speak to my husband before I decided to sign any paperwork and make the commitment. The sales person was great and said that would be fine. She then informed me that she did need to call the office and let her supervisor know that she had seen me and to give an update on where things stood. She called and spoke to Monty, she had him on speakerphone and told him I was happy with the plan, but that I wanted to speak to my husband before agreeing to sign the contract. Monty’s response was “ Why does she need to speak to her husband and what does she need to talk to him about?” His demeanor and tone of voice was so condescending that I had to bite my tongue. This should’ve been my first clue not to hire this company, but because I really liked the sales person who profusely apologized for Monty’s rude comments I really wanted to give her the sale, I told her I would call her and let her know. Once I spoke to my husband we agreed to hire the company. The sales rep came back out and wrote up the contract. When the sales rep contacted the installation department and tried to schedule an appointment for me on a Saturday we were informed that they didn’t install on Saturdays. I then had to make arrangements to take the day off for them to come out. The installation was set for 4/18/25 and I gave my deposit. On 4/17/25 I hadn’t received a call as to when they would be out, so when I got home from work a little before 6pm, I called the install department to find out when they would be at my home. I was told that I wasn’t scheduled and that there was a manufacturing issue and that I had been notified that previous Monday. When I asked what he meant by a manufacturing issue he couldn’t tell me. I told him I had taken the day off for this install and that I never received a call from anyone. He then transferred me to the call center and I spoke to Monica who took a message and said it would be sent urgently. Friday 4/18/25 came, I waited until the afternoon for a call back and no one called. I then called my sales representative and left her a message, a while later she sent me a text that she she would try to find out what was going on. At 1:52 pm I called the install department and spoke to Irene who at first couldn’t find me in the system. She was eventually able to locate my order in the system and told me my status was showing as incomplete, I told her what had happened and asked her for the call center number, said she would give me the number to the sales department and told me to ask for Alex Bendigo. I called the call center and spoke to someone by the name of Calita I’m not sure if I’ve spelled that correctly or not, or if that was actually her name. She said she would send a message to Alex, I asked her when I was going to receive a call back and when he would be available, but she couldn’t give me that information. After that conversation I called my sales person back and told her what was going on. She said that she had sent an urgent message after I left her my first message and that she would send another urgent message to Alex and call the call center. As of today 4/21/25 I haven’t heard back from anyone even after sending an email this morning to another manager by the name of Melisa Mendoza, I also reached out to my sales representative this morning to make sure I had the correct email for Melisa, but haven’t heard anything from her as well.
Recommendation: This company was happy to take my money, but won’t call or respond to my request for answers as to why I wasn’t advised of what was going on. I never received an email or phone call both of which the company has that’s documented on my contract. I say don’t use this company
Do not hire!
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! We had a designer come out to take measurements and she was so lovely, I really liked her. Unfortunately she did not listen to my husband when he told her what closet depth we wanted and we did not check her work... it never occurred to us that A. she would not listen and B. that she would not use the entire space we had available for the closet. Pan to 2 weeks later when my husband finished preparing the space (he had surgery so couldn't do the work right away) and we looked at the plans only to discover the discrepancy of over 4 inches! I contacted her straight away (at this point the install was 2 days away) and told her what happened. She said there was nothing she could do and I would have to speak to a manager. After 6 calls and messages he finally got back to me to tell me that there was absolutely nothing that he could do for me since the pieces were already cut. I am a repeat customer and was willing to pay for the difference in price for the correct measurement. He said there was nothing that could be done and that they would keep our deposit of $1023.00 and that I could find someone else to work with. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I wish I had read the reviews on this company before deciding to hire them again because they really and truly do not care about their reputation or their customers.
This has been resolved. The regional manager reached out to me and gave me a full refund.

We had an customer sales agent come to our home. We decided on doing the master bedroom closet and the office closet. The agent measured both and drew up a design for both. The designs were fine but I had a feeling the measurement was off in the office but I let her go because I thought she knew how to do her job. They scheduled us 2 months out. A couple of days before installation they called us to tell us that their network was down and they have to push us back another month! When I asked how long the network was down? They said a couple of weeks! Wtf? Just a couple of days pushes everyone back! Why didn't I get a call earlier and she said that her manager told her to call a couple of days before! Poor Customer service! Then the installers came, they put a deep dent in my wall by the staircase while carrying stuff to the bedroom. I know these guys saw that and didn't even mention it to us! I saw it when I got home. My husband didn't even notice it! Then... when he told them about it, they said to take care of it and send them the bill! They left a couple pieces of trash in my drive way and a couple days later I find screws in my drain! This companies employees don't have any integrity! They don't have pride in their work and I don't know how they are a Complaintsboard.com rating! They are a horrible company! Never working with them again!

We thought that we would go with a reputable company to do a small project in our home. So, we had closet world 'design' a small pantry and wall unit for our spare bedroom. We paid half up front and waited 2 months for them to be built and installed. On the day of the install, an installation supervisor had contacted me demanding the other half of the money before the job was completed. I refused becuase I wanted to make sure that it was what I had wanted. He was extremely rude and condescending because I was a woman so, I had refused to further talk to him. Later on when the lousy install was almost complete, my husband confronted him about the way he was speaking to me and he initially denied even speaking with me. The product that they installed is cheap and thrown together. My pantry looks like a shoebox of cheap pressboard that you can't even turn around in and my wall unit is butchered in several places, the cabinets slam (was expecting soft closing because some have glass) and the drawers are uneven and hardly open with some cheap hardware that they had slapped on it without my consent. My husband could've put together something way nicer for the price we had paid. I have asked around and spoken to many people about their experiences with closet world and NOT ONE of them have actually had a good one including my own parents. Do not use this company. Their WORKMANSHIP is below UNSATISFACTORY, their customer service is below UNSATISFACTORY, and their prices for what you get is WAYY BELOW UNSATISFACTORY. You find yourself having to argue with them as to why you are unhappy with their product when it is extremely clear the instant you see it. Now I have to fight to get them to get these cheap cabinets out of my house and get my money back.
