Mixed Reviews Reflecting Customer Experiences
As someone deeply involved in the world of cryptocurrencies, I understand the importance of choosing the right platform for your transactions. Looking at the reviews for Coinbase, it's clear that customers have had varied experiences. Some users have expressed frustration with issues like frozen accounts, poor customer service, and high fees. On the other hand, there are those who have found the platform reliable and easy to use. It seems that while some have faced challenges with Coinbase, others have had positive interactions. When considering using Coinbase, it's essential to weigh these mixed reviews and decide based on your own needs and preferences.

Nightmare Experience with Coinbase Customer Support: Avoid at All Costs
My experience with Coinbase customer support was a complete nightmare. I had a significant amount of Bitcoin, 6.3 BTC to be exact, sitting in Coinbase Pro, and when I tried to withdraw it, the system kept rejecting my 2FA codes. I spent hours trying to troubleshoot the issue, but nothing seemed to work. I was able to log in just fine with my 2FA, but when I tried to withdraw my Bitcoin, the system kept saying it was invalid.
I contacted Coinbase customer support through phone, chat, and email, and every single person I talked to just copy and pasted replies. Even the personnel on the phone was just reading a script! I tried to explain to them that this was an issue with their system, but they would reply with generic responses that had nothing to do with my problem. It was frustrating beyond belief.
In the end, I was left with no choice but to move my Bitcoin to the regular Coinbase platform and withdraw it from there. To this day, you cannot withdraw from Coinbase Pro because of a bug that their support team will not even acknowledge. It's ridiculous!
Their support department is completely incompetent. I have never interacted with such unhelpful humans in my life. Most of the time, I felt like I was talking to an automated bot AI. I mean, I can't even come up with the words to describe what it's like trying to have a conversation with them.
If you're thinking of using Coinbase, I would strongly advise against it. If you value control of your money, DO NOT USE COINBASE. I have been in crypto since 2013, and I can tell you with 100% certainty that this company is a fraud. No legitimate company has a customer support department this bad.
However, I was recommended to file a case with resucrsc.com with the referral A1 on their official page, and I got a feedback within 24 hours with a private attorney who was honest with me about the reimbursement procedures. It was absolutely free, and they assisted me in recovering my 6.3 BTC worth of investment with no hassle. I was amazed by their team of proficient professionals, and in my perspective, they are the best cryptocybersecurity lawsuit attorney.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy platform to buy and sell cryptocurrencies, Coinbase is not the answer. Their customer support is terrible, and they don't seem to care about their customers' problems. If you want to avoid the headache and hassle that I went through, I would recommend looking for other platforms that have better customer support and are more reliable.

Review of Coinbase: Convenience Comes with Caution
Coinbase is a website that allows you to buy and sell bitcoins. It's like buying bitcoins from your bank, but with more convenience. However, caution is strongly advised when dealing with Coinbase. Some users have reported issues with their customer service and slow buying process.
One user, Evan Moore, purchased bitcoins with no problem but had trouble receiving his money after selling them. He contacted support multiple times and was left waiting for days for an update. This experience did not instill confidence in him and made him rethink his use of the platform.
Another user, Md42, had a terrible experience with Coinbase's customer service. After completing every verification step and making a purchase, his order was canceled with no explanation. He was told he was "high risk" but was not given any other information. He was then banned from buying bitcoins on Coinbase.
Despite these negative experiences, some users have had success with Coinbase. An anonymous user reported that Coinbase worked perfectly for them, except for some issues with getting their credit card verified. They do not store large amounts with Coinbase and prefer to control the private keys.
Coinbase_user, on the other hand, was banned from buying bitcoins with no explanation given. They were cooperative with follow-up requests but were still deemed "high risk" and banned from the platform.
In conclusion, Coinbase can be a convenient way to buy and sell bitcoins, but it's important to be cautious and aware of potential issues with customer service and the buying process.
Coinbase: A Bunch of Scammers - My Terrible Experience with Their Customer Support
Coinbase used to be my go-to platform for buying and selling crypto, but after what they did to me, I can no longer recommend them to anyone. They basically stole my crypto at a loss, and their customer support team is the worst I've ever encountered. They don't have a phone number, and they don't even answer their emails, especially when you need them the most. It's crazy to think that a publicly traded company would be like that.
Let me tell you what happened to me, and why I think Coinbase is a bunch of scammers. On July 24, I logged into my Coinbase account and saw a message saying that I owed them $2000. The problem was that they tried to withdraw the money from my bank account, but my account got shut down for no reason, so they couldn't collect their money. I had more than enough money in my account to pay them, but they wouldn't let me pay with cash. The only option they gave me was to sell my crypto to them directly, which was a terrible choice because the crypto market was way down, and I would have lost $960.
I told them that I disagreed with their terrible way of making me pay what I owed, and I suggested several solutions that didn't involve them selling my crypto forcefully. But they didn't listen to me. After 10 days of waiting, they came back to me with a generic response and closed the case on me. I couldn't believe it. I was pretty desperate at this point, and I felt like they had no regard for their customers.
I'm not in the best financial situation right now, and for Coinbase to screw me over like this really sucks. But I won't stop until they solve my issue. I have a case number, and I will prove that the little guy can do something. Coinbase, you need to fix your terrible business practices and start caring about your customers.
Coinbase Review: Poor Customer Service and Lack of Accountability in Crypto Exchange Industry
I've been investing in crypto for years now and I have to say, Coinbase is not a company I would recommend. They make their money from transaction fees, which is fine, but when you have thousands of dollars at stake, you expect to be able to talk to a real person when you have an issue. Unfortunately, Coinbase's customer service is severely lacking. They rely on bots to respond to customer inquiries, which often just direct you to their website. This is a waste of time, as it takes a human being to actually go into your account and verify transaction history, where funds went, why transaction fees were wrong, and so on.
This has been a chronic problem with Coinbase and it doesn't seem like they're making any progress in actually taking care of their customers. As someone who has been in the financial markets for years, I find it abhorrent that the SEC would allow this company to go public without significant improvement in resolving customer complaints. If they do, the founder and his management group will become multi-millionaires without any consideration for the customers who have been steering business their way.
If crypto currencies are ever going to gain widespread adoption, exchanges like Coinbase need to play by the same rules as other brokerages that deal in stocks, bonds, commodities, and so on. It's not fair that they can operate with virtually zero accountability, while the rest of us have to follow strict regulations.
Coinbase recently paid a $6.5 million settlement with the SEC involving fraudulent activities dating back years. While I'm pro-crypto, I believe that exchanges should not be allowed to engage in pump and dump scams. If they are, it will show the world that only the wealthy are allowed to prosper, and that's not right.
If you're thinking about investing in crypto, my advice is to document every transaction, including the exact time of the transaction, the price of the crypto, the transaction fee, and take screenshots if possible. If you have any issues, contact Coinbase's customer service department and document the response you receive. If the issue has a significant dollar value attached, file a complaint with the SEC. It's a disgrace that Coinbase has not been forced to address the problems so many have attempted to resolve. The New York Times even wrote a recent article about the company's inexcusable business practices.
In conclusion, I hope this review helps someone. I also hope the SEC does not allow Coinbase to go public until they prove that they are a legitimate enterprise whose primary function is not just to create massive wealth for the founder and institutional investors who get preferential treatment in pricing and access.
Beware of Coinbase: Lack of Support and Security Could Cost You Dearly
If you're thinking of using Coinbase for your bitcoin transactions, you might want to think twice. Let me tell you about my experience with this company. My husband and I decided to donate $10,000 worth of bitcoin to a preschool in our town. We contacted the director of the preschool, Rita, and she opened an account at Coinbase to receive the donation. However, she was unfamiliar with bitcoin and online accounts in general, so she asked for help in transferring the money to her bank account.
I assumed that Coinbase, being a well-known company, would have phone support. So I googled "Coinbase phone support" and gave the number that popped up to Rita. Unfortunately, this number turned out to be a fraud. The person who answered identified himself as a Coinbase support rep and asked Rita to go to a special Coinbase support website where she entered her username, password, and confirmation code. The result was that the bitcoin was gone from Rita's account and we were left puzzled about how this was possible given Coinbase's security.
The theft seems to be largely the fault of Coinbase for several reasons. First, their support is shockingly bad. Even days after the theft, Coinbase has not responded to my emails. This lack of communication leaves their customers without the type of assurance that seems a natural part of handling other people's money. And anxious customers are prey to scammers.
Second, Coinbase offers no telephone support. They don't actually tell you this, by the way. They let you search their site vainly for a number until you decide to google it. If they simply announced on their site, "Note: we do not offer phone support," this type of scam could be avoided.
Third, the lack of phone support leaves them open to exactly this type of fraud. They must certainly be aware that this type of scam is a threat to all Coinbase customers but they simply ignore it.
Fourth, Coinbase security was apparently designed to prevent transactions coming from untrusted devices yet the device confirmation apparently failed and Coinbase was breached.
Finally, new account holders are likely to be less sophisticated customers like Rita. Coinbase, therefore, has a responsibility to have excellent security and support for those customers. Better security and/or support would have prevented this scam from succeeding.
I'm still waiting to hear something, anything really, from Coinbase. I've found warnings online for exactly this type of scam and I'm wondering why Coinbase has apparently not protected its customers from them. I am hesitantly accepting that our gift of bitcoin is gone, that our gift was stolen by scammers.
And I'm left feeling extremely disappointed with Coinbase. If you're thinking of using this company, be warned. Their lack of support and security could cost you dearly.
Nightmare Experience with Coinbase: Frustration, Concerns, and Lack of Communication
I recently had an experience with Coinbase that left me feeling frustrated and concerned. I received a suspicious message claiming that someone was trying to access my funds from a specific IP address. When I tried to investigate further, I found that the IP address belonged to akamaitechnologies.com, but I couldn't access the website.
This was my first time trying to buy cryptocurrency, and the experience was far from smooth. Coinbase asked me to set up an account and fund it, but there was no indication of how much money I had in my account. When I tried to buy crypto, I had to go through a verification process that involved uploading my ID and taking a selfie. Despite multiple attempts, my ID couldn't be verified.
Days and hours passed, and the prices kept going up. I went through the verification process multiple times, but it didn't seem to make a difference. Then I received the suspicious message about someone trying to access my funds, and I felt even more helpless.
When I tried to contact support, I found that it took days to get a response. Even then, I didn't feel like I was getting the help I needed. I was worried that my funds had been stolen or that I wouldn't be able to buy crypto at the price I wanted.
Eventually, a friend suggested that I try using the Coinbase Pro app. I went through the verification process again and saw that Coinbase had my bank information, which they wouldn't have if they hadn't received my wire transfer. But my account was showing a zero balance, and I couldn't see any indication that my wire transfer had gone through.
I'm still not sure what's going on with my account. It's possible that Coinbase is holding onto my funds for security reasons, but I haven't received any communication about that. I'm frustrated that I had to submit my personal identification multiple times, and I'm worried that my funds have been stolen.
Overall, my experience with Coinbase has been a nightmare. I thought I was choosing a secure exchange, but now I'm not so sure. I hope that Coinbase can resolve this issue quickly and communicate with me about what's going on.
Coinbase Review: A Safe and Secure Platform for Cryptocurrency Investment
I'm writing a review about Coinbase and I think it's important to share my experience. I recently decided to invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies and had some money set aside for this purpose. As a newbie, I had to educate myself about wallets and where to buy and store my coins. I quickly realized that nowhere is completely safe from hacking, which made me worry about the safety of my investment.
After researching various options, I decided to try Coinbase, even though I had read many negative reviews. However, I could see that they were a legitimate company with a lot of backing, and they had never been hacked directly. Plus, they offered something I needed - a vault for my Bitcoin that was hack-proof and insured.
I transferred all my crypto to Coinbase, including my Bitcoin in the multi-sig vault, which gave me full control and protection in case Coinbase went bust. I was still worried, though, especially after reading more negative reviews about Coinbase's complaints list being through the roof.
To test the waters, I withdrew my Ethereum and it worked immediately, which was a relief. However, I was still nervous about the multi-sig vault, which had many bad reviews from people who couldn't access their coins when they wanted to. I submitted a withdrawal request, which had to go through a 2-day process before being released.
During those 2 days, I was anxious and worried that I had made a mistake. However, when the process was complete, my Bitcoin balance was updated, and I was able to withdraw the full amount without any problems. Yes, there was a fee for the transfer, but I didn't mind because I was happy to have my coins safely in my possession.
Overall, I can say that Coinbase is a brilliant, safe, efficient, and secure platform for buying, selling, and storing cryptocurrencies. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to invest in this exciting new market. My only advice is to make sure you fully verify your account with documents and avoid associating it with any gambling activities. Sorry if my grammar isn't perfect - I'm typing this on my phone, and I don't feel like going over it again to check for mistakes.
Review of Coinbase: Reliable Bitcoin Trading Platform with Room for Improvement
Coinbase is a great platform for trading bitcoins. I have been using it for a while now and I have had a positive experience. The platform is easy to use and the customer support is very helpful. However, there are some issues that I have encountered.
One issue that I have had is with the verification process. It took longer than expected to get verified, which was frustrating. Additionally, there have been some delays in depositing funds into my account. These delays were not significant, but they were still inconvenient.
Despite these issues, I still recommend Coinbase to anyone who is looking to trade bitcoins. The platform is reliable and the fees are reasonable. The customer support is also very helpful and responsive. Overall, I am satisfied with my experience using Coinbase.
However, I do think that Coinbase could improve in some areas. For example, the verification process could be streamlined to make it faster and more efficient. Additionally, the platform could benefit from more advanced trading features.
In conclusion, Coinbase is a great platform for trading bitcoins. While there are some issues that need to be addressed, overall I am satisfied with my experience. If you are looking to trade bitcoins, I recommend giving Coinbase a try.
Coinbase Review: Negligent Customer Care and Security Issues
Coinbase is a cryptocurrency exchange platform that has been around for quite some time now. It is based in San Francisco, California, and has been providing its services to people all over the world. The platform has been advertised as a secure way to handle crypto, but some users have had issues with the security of the platform.
One user claimed that they had experienced roadblocks and holds even after full identity verification, where Coinbase was protecting its interests and not the user's. The user also claimed that their wallet had been compromised, and they had lost a significant amount of money. They had entered into a smart contract with NFTCreat.net, but the platform's support team could not tell them who had robbed them, even with the full Ethereum hashtag of the transaction.
The user was also concerned about the security of their wallet, as someone had been able to send 4092 USDT from their wallet without any verification code. The user claimed that this was a clear case of negligence on the part of Coinbase, as the platform had promised greater security as its selling point. The user was preparing to litigate against Coinbase, as they felt that the platform had been negligent towards customer care and support.
The user also claimed that if Coinbase were a bank, they would have been more proactive in investigating the issue and making the user whole again. The user felt that Coinbase had not acted like a bank, despite claiming to be one, and that the platform's support team had been careless about their customers.
In conclusion, Coinbase has been a popular platform for cryptocurrency exchange, but some users have had issues with the security of the platform. The platform has promised greater security as its selling point, but some users have felt that the platform has been negligent towards customer care and support. If Coinbase wants to continue to be a popular platform for cryptocurrency exchange, it needs to address these issues and provide better security and customer care to its users.
Terrible Experience with Coinbase: Locked Out of Crypto for 24 Hours with No Help from Support Team
Coinbase is a cryptocurrency exchange platform that has been around for quite some time. However, my recent experience with them has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I recently got a new phone and spent all day with my phone company just to keep my number so I could use Coinbase. However, when I tried to use their app on my new phone, they would send a code to that same phone I was sending from to verify it was me. This made no sense to me because if someone stole my phone and was using it to send crypto, they would get the code on that same phone.
Then, when I finally got my new phone set up and tried to send crypto, Coinbase said it was a new device and that they were holding my crypto for 24 hours. This was mind-boggling to me because all of a sudden, they knew it was a different phone but didn't send a code. They locked me out of my crypto for 24 hours, and no matter what I did, they refused to free my funds. I even had a conversation with their support team, and they were not helpful at all.
The support team was slow to respond, and when they finally did, they were not able to expedite the process. They told me that I had to wait for 24 hours before I could send crypto again. This was frustrating because I had important things to do with my kids the next day, and I was counting on those funds. I even offered to provide them with my ID and take a selfie to prove that it was me, but they still refused to help.
Overall, my experience with Coinbase was terrible, and I would not recommend them to anyone. They need to rethink their whole plan to secure their customers' funds because they are the biggest threat to them. It's not right that they can just take away my crypto and hold it until they decide to give it back. This is not what cryptocurrency is all about. It's supposed to be decentralized and secure, but Coinbase is doing the opposite.

I tried to send my crypto from Coinbase Wallet to my Coinbase account. So after a friend of mine got off the phone with Customer service we figured out how. He went first and his worked beautifully. I did not have the same luck. I tried to send WAVAX (Wrapped Avax) to my Coinbase account, which now I know it’s not supported on Coinbase. It’s supported on...

Coinbase put my account under review, without any prior notice, effectively freezing it, and would not provide a reason for its action and would not provide a timeframe for the review. The customer service is useless, provides boilerplate replies in a robot-like manner. The complaint page on Coinbase website does not exist. I am pulling my money out as soon as the review is over. There is no point of giving your business to a company that frustrates you at every turn.

Closed my account and won't allow me to withdrawal my balance
Coinbase closed my account without warning or explanation and will not allow me to transfer my money to my bank OR an external wallet and has told me "Our decision remains final, and we're unable to make the requested changes to your Coinbase account", basically telling me my money is gone and there's nothing they're going to do to get it back to me. They offered ZERO support and the "live" people I spoke to were automated. When I asked for a number to speak to someone they told me that they don't have phone support. F* Coinbase. What they're doing is criminal.

Warning: Coinbase Global, Inc. Involved in Fraudulent Activity and Cyber Assaults
Coinbase Global, Inc. is a company that has been in the news lately for all the wrong reasons. My family's bank alerted me that Coinbase had initiated multiple unauthorized transactions from their Cheapside St. United Kingdom location. They stole a whopping $1000 worth of USD, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. This is not the first time that Coinbase has been involved in fraudulent activity. Six weeks prior, 30 Ethereum vanished from our wallets. Former Fraud Supervisor Alex Herman promised they would be returned, but they never were.
When I notified Coinbase of the fraudulent activity, they locked me out of my account and prevented me from any activity. Then their phenomenal Cyber Assault Team viciously targeted me. They constructed a portal utilizing Google's G+ and had access to my computer systems, cellphone devices, and clouds at their discretion. They destroyed six computer systems. Google had known of a G+ account that was dedicated to hackers, spies, cybercriminals for years! Shortly afterward, I exposed the public domain, and they closed G+.
Coinbase, GitHub, and Google were just three legal entities of the Andreessen Horowitz Portfolio. Now a16oz. Also, on Oct 26,2018, Microsoft completed its acquisition of GitHub for $7.5 Billion in Stock according to four sources. Not long afterward, they regretted this because they used GitHub for recruiting additional criminal coders for their Transnational Cyber Assault Team. Being tenacious, I reversed tracked their breadcrumbs to other platforms. Their platform of choice is Linkedin! Unfortunately, they corrupted many known key Government Agents, Officials, and other entities who abuse their authority to shield them from JUSTICE! Also, they have access to over 50,000 Military, Veterans, Reservists, etc. via one of their vested partners USAA Federal Savings and Loan Association, LLC. Utilizing the guise of "Platform Integration." This is a fraction of the equation.
In conclusion, Coinbase is not a trustworthy company. They have been involved in fraudulent activity and have a Cyber Assault Team that viciously targets their customers. They also have access to sensitive information and have corrupted key government officials. I would not recommend using Coinbase for any financial transactions.
Coinbase Review: Disappointing Service and Delayed Deposit of Funds
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Coinbase. I set my limits to $7,500 USD and deposited $5,000 USD to my Coinbase USD Wallet from my US-based bank account. I made the transaction at 11:32 PM (EST) on January 8th, 2018. Coinbase took the money from my bank account on January 9th, 2018 before 2:00 PM (EST). It's now January 16th, 2018 and there's still no deposit showing. This is the 6th business day (internationally, yesterday was MLK Jr. Day in the U.S.) and the 8th calendar day. According to Coinbase's policy, deposits can take 2-5 business days to clear due to ACH blah blah blah - well, Coinbase had my money on the 2nd business day, yet they still haven't deposited it in my USD Wallet TO THIS DAY!
On day four (January 12th, 2018), I called the phone number Coinbase listed with the bank transaction; that number NO LONGER WORKS. The new number ***930) is nothing more than a talking phone tree that does not allow for human interaction at all - at the beginning of the call AND at the end of each message down the tree, the voice directs you to go online to their support site. After going through the miserable "Chat Bot" on Coinbase's support website, I was finally able to send them an email from https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/emails/new...
And Coinbase's response so far? CRICKETS! Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zero response. Since I finally sprang for more than a couple dollars here and there deposit to invest in cryptocurrency, Coinbase really sucked me into their net bad. If not stolen, at least misappropriated and using my money as their "FLOAT" to increase their own corporate profits. At worst, Coinbase is a fraud, at best, a really messed up company. I'm feeling chaffed. And, I'm done with these bozos. IF this money ever does show up in my Coinbase USD Wallet, I'm just going to withdraw it and go to another service - or put it back into Amazon stock... what a CON JOB.
Epilogue: I have contacted my bank and at some point I will have to submit a fraud complaint, though I should give it to the end of this week considering the US holiday affect on banking. Even though Coinbase had my money 4 days before the holiday. Bleh.
Coinbase Security Failure: My Account Was Hacked and Funds Drained
On the 23rd of August 2021, I had a terrible experience with Coinbase. My account was hacked, and all my funds were drained. I was devastated and didn't know what to do. I suspect that it was an inside job, but I can't be sure. How else would someone get access to my account information? I had $5004.95 in my account, and the hacker sold most of my coins and transferred the funds to an account in Sweden. They also used my bank account to buy $1000 Ethereum and $10,000 Bitcoin. Luckily, I was able to stop the transaction in time by calling my bank.
The timing of this hack couldn't have been worse. My wife and I were in the process of buying our final home, and we had transferred all our money to this account for our closing costs, which amounted to $17,500. We were left with nothing, and we now owe the IRS for this. The stress and panic caused by this incident almost led to my wife being hospitalized. We are still not the same, and we feel completely violated. We wonder if the hacker has all our information and what they might do with it.
We trusted Coinbase to keep our information safe, but their security failed us. We had no idea that there were extra measures we should have taken to protect our account. If Coinbase had informed us, we would have done everything in our power to secure our account.
I have reached out to everyone I know to help me rectify this situation, including my lawyer friend and my brother-in-law, who is a Federal Judge. I am also a member of the Facebook group "Coinbase Corruption/Scandal Awareness Group," and I have signed every petition available over this issue. I will not give up until my money is returned to my account, I sue Coinbase for everything I can get and win, or Coinbase is shut down for their lack of customer support and security.
Coinbase needs to take responsibility for their security failures and compensate me for my losses. I will continue to remind them of this every few hours until they take action. This incident has caused me and my family a great deal of stress, and we deserve justice. I hope that Coinbase will learn from this and improve their security measures to prevent this from happening to anyone else.

Coinbase Pro Negligence: Stolen Crypto Assets and Lack of Support for Fraud Cases
I had a real bad experience with Coinbase Pro (case #***). I tried to log in on August 3, 2021, but I couldn't get in. They told me that someone from Portland was trying to get into my account. They asked me if I knew anyone from Portland, and I said no. They asked me if I had given my password to anyone, and I said no. They said they would block the person and I started a withdrawal of $512. When I logged back in to see where the withdrawal was, I saw that all of my crypto was gone except for 2 cents of Tezos.
I called Coinbase at ***351 and ***734 to talk about my case #***. They told me that all of my crypto assets had been stolen. This was the first time I heard about it, and I filed a complaint a week ago. When I called both of these numbers back, they said they were disconnected. The person hung up on me when I asked for a full accounting of my account for 2021.
I filled out the Coinbase complaint form twice, one for not having access to my account and another one requesting reports of all 2021 transactions in my account. They promised me twice that someone would contact me within 24 hours, but nobody called me. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Now I need all my account transactions reports and crypto balances for 2021 to file a State Complaint, an SEC Complaint, and then follow through with a lawsuit.
Coinbase doesn't have a way to escalate fraud or get in touch with a senior-level person to report and resolve fraud quickly. Waiting a week to tell me that my crypto asset had been stolen is complete negligence. My access was taken away, and when I called in, they said my account had been hacked. They asked me if I knew anyone from Portland, and I said no. Then they asked me if I had provided anyone with my password, and I said no. They said they would block the person from my account, but they didn't. All my crypto assets were stolen. I need a complete accounting of my account to file additional complaints and sue them (reference attachments).
Coinbase Review: Terrible Customer Service and Lack of Security Measures Will Lead to Bankruptcy
Coinbase is a big player in the North American crypto exchange market, but my experience with them has been nothing short of terrible. As more and more people get into crypto, their customer service department is going to be their downfall. They were one of the first exchanges in North America, which is why they have so many users.
Even now, there aren't many options in this region, but competition is starting to catch up to Coinbase. My prediction is that they will go bankrupt by 2025. They seem more interested in making headlines as the "alpha male" in the states by buying up smaller companies than in listening to their customers' complaints and implementing a world-class customer service department, which is fundamental for a company of this size.
Coinbase couldn't care less about its customers, which has been a fact for many years. The CEO only cares about BTC whales, and those whales have stuck by his side for reasons that I'm sure will come to light. This way of thinking will undoubtedly lead to Coinbase crumbling into bankruptcy and into the crypto history books.
I don't have time to go into detail about my experience, but I highly recommend putting your hard-earned money elsewhere. They don't insure your wallet unless there is a widespread security breach to their servers, which they continue to promote has never happened. Just Google "Coinbase account hacked," and you'll find pages of individuals with similar stories of their crypto being stolen from their account and how poorly customer service handled their complaint.
Their customer service is virtual at best, with only automated responses to reports of compromised accounts. It's extremely easy to get your account locked after a security breach, but good luck gaining access again. I've been locked out for five weeks now, and it's been impossible to verify my identification and regain access to my account, even after giving them exactly what is required.
There's no live phone support, which is beyond unacceptable for a financial company of this size. Even after years of horrible reviews, they have somehow managed to grow as a company. The most well-known exchange in the states has only contributed to the bad rap that cryptocurrency continues to stumble upon.
Beware of Coinbase: High Fees, Poor Customer Service, and Account Blocks
Coinbase is a platform that I have had the displeasure of using. It is one of the worst platforms in the New York exchange company. The charges are very high compared to Bitstamp and Gemini. When I asked the customer service about the charges to buy crypto, they said it was only 1%. However, when I made a purchase, they deducted $1000 for a $50k purchase, which is too high. They never show the fee charged in the application. In any other platform, they will show the charge on the platform as soon as you add the purchase amount. Coinbase never showed it to me. When you sell, they will charge you the same amount. It is essential to be very careful when dealing with Coinbase.
They will charge you at every step. Be very careful when buying or selling on Coinbase accounts. There is no hold time as per Coinbase rule, but they will hold your crypto for one week, even if you make a bank wire transfer. They will not allow you to send the crypto to other platforms. They will block your account by telling you that you might be sending crypto to a scam account. It is completely bullish. They will hold your money with excuses that make it look like you made a big mistake by sending money to Coinbase account, and they are the savers. Always try to complain about this kind of issue to the licensing department to see how they are harassing customers.
They think all customers are foolish and do not know what is good or bad for them. Coinbase will decide for you without asking your permission. I think Coinbase has connections with all crypto companies, and they get commissions from the crypto companies to hold your money on their platforms without your permission and without any bonafide reason. They will never let you transfer or send crypto after you buy immediately from Coinbase platform, which is illegal.
All of the customer service representatives are inexperienced, and they always put you on hold to communicate with their supervisors. They will advise you on what to say. Customer support is a voice recording that only passes information from the upper level. I have found all these problems with them and too high fees compared to Bitstamp and Gemini. They are the same exchange companies like Coinbase.
Coinbase will block your account without any reason. Be very careful about Coinbase before you send any money to them. If you experience this kind of problem, always send a written complaint to the crypto exchange licensing department so that one day they will suspend their license. This is my advice to everyone before they use Coinbase.
Warning: My Experience with Coinbase - Unreliable App and Unresponsive Support
This review is about my experience with Coinbase, and I want to share it with others to warn them about the risks of trading Crypto on this platform. I have tried to contact Coinbase representatives several times in the past month, but I have not received any response from them. The Coinbase app is not reliable, and it is designed to make investors lose their money quickly. I have attached some pictures to prove my claims and to show how other apps like Robinhood handle such situations. I want to clarify that this review is based solely on my experience, and I have no affiliation with any of the parties involved.
One day, after work, I decided to buy some AMP Crypto on the Coinbase app. The price that day was $0.10, and I set a limit order to buy $500 AMP at $.090. However, after submitting the order, I received a notification that my order had been filled instantly. I was surprised and checked the receipt from Coinbase, only to find out that I had entered the price at $.90 instead of $.090. I was shocked and wanted to fix the problem, so I decided to buy more AMP. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again, and I missed one zero after the decimal point.
I contacted Coinbase and explained what had happened. I also checked other apps to see how they handle such situations. I found out that the Robinhood app caught the mistake right away and informed me of it, while Coinbase did not. I reached out to Coinbase again and explained the issue, but they chose to ignore me.
The receipt from Coinbase, which I have included in this post, shows that Coinbase bought the AMP at the market price of $0.10 and kept the extra AMP Crypto bought with my money. They also charged me fees for the transaction. I wonder how many times this happens every day, and how many people lose hundreds or thousands of dollars without even realizing it.
I hope this review helps others to avoid apps like Coinbase that engage in these unethical practices. Please share this post if you think it can help someone you know. I am sending positive energy and blessings to everyone.
Coinbase: Terrible Customer Support and Verification Process
Coinbase is one of the worst companies I've ever had to deal with. I opened an account with them in May of this year and purchased $100 worth of Bitcoin. At first, I was able to send, receive, and withdraw my cryptocurrency with relative ease. However, in July, my account was suddenly restricted, and I was told that I needed to verify my identity via webcam. I couldn't even withdraw my funds back to my linked bank account. This was after I had already deposited funds and bought and sold cryptocurrency through them! You would think that a complete verification process would take place when the account is being opened.
I don't have access to a computer with a webcam, but eventually, I was able to find one and attempted to take photos of my ID along with a picture of myself holding a paper showing the date. For some reason, my pictures were not accepted. Since I no longer had access to that computer, I wasn't able to try again. I contacted Coinbase support for assistance, and they responded with generic emails, then another email stating they had to escalate my issue to a "specialist." After a few weeks of unsuccessfully trying to find an alternative method to verify my identification, I finally got access to another computer with a webcam, and this time my pictures were accepted, and my account was verified.
I thought that I would finally be able to buy and sell crypto again, but I was wrong. When I attempted to deposit funds into my account, I received a message stating that I was unable to do so and that I needed to contact support. Once again, I emailed them and received the following response: "Coinbase reviewed your account and has determined that you are not eligible to use the Coinbase platform to purchase cryptocurrency or use our deposit services. As such, you are no longer eligible to link any payment methods. We are not able to provide you with any additional information."
So I decided to simply withdraw my funds, but since I hadn't done so in a while (it's not clear on the website), I asked for instructions on how to send the bitcoin to my cash wallet. It took a few more generic emails over a course of a couple of days just to get an answer. They had even sent me a link with instructions that pertained to a different question. Fortunately, I was finally able to withdraw my remaining funds, and I no longer have to deal with them.
For several weeks, my funds were in limbo with no end in sight. It was incredibly frustrating dealing with this company. Their customer support is basically useless. I had to jump through hoops just to verify my identity, and then they wouldn't even let me use their platform to purchase cryptocurrency or use their deposit services. It's clear that Coinbase doesn't care about their customers, and I would not recommend them to anyone.
Coinbase: A Nightmare Experience - My Account Was Hacked and Crypto Stolen
I put in $2000 into Coinbase last year, hoping to invest in some cryptocurrencies. However, my experience with Coinbase has been nothing short of a nightmare. I was out of the country for three months starting from the second week of November 2021 when I received an email from Coinbase stating that my account had been compromised. They asked me to verify my identity to regain access to my account. I thought I would do that once I got back to the US.
However, things took a turn for the worse on January 1st and 2nd of 2022 when hackers from Coinbase hacked my BOA checking account and stole $999 each night. I was devastated. I contacted BOA through a friend and locked Coinbase out of my checking account. But the hackers didn't stop there. On January 3rd, they hacked my second bank account (CHASE) and stole another $999. I was at my wit's end. I took action and stopped Coinbase's access to that account as well.
Both banks conducted their investigations and reimbursed me. I came back to the US in February 2022 only to find out that I was locked out of my Coinbase account. After ID verification, I finally got my access back, only to find out that the thieves had taken all my Crypto and left a zero balance in my account.
When I contacted Coinbase, they refused to take any responsibility for the theft. They blamed me for not being careful enough with my account. They said it was my responsibility to ensure that I traded my Crypto currencies with trustworthy people and that I didn't give access to my email or computer to anyone. I was shocked. I told them that I had only bought and sold Crypto on Coinbase and that I had invested with them because they claimed to be a "Secure Platform." If they couldn't secure my Crypto currency, then it was their responsibility to reimburse me.
I reminded them that the banks didn't tell me that they weren't responsible for any shady Crypto site I decided to deal with and linked them with, so they wouldn't reimburse me. One customer service agent even told me that if I were a UK customer, Coinbase would take responsibility and reimburse me in full. I was appalled. I asked him what US customers did wrong, but he didn't have an answer.
The banks canceled my debit cards, and I had to get new ones. They also advised me to change my checking account number and get new checkbooks. I had to go through all these hassles in addition to losing my investment at Coinbase. I had to spend sleepless nights worrying about my finances. I am posting this review to warn the public about my hellish experience with this rogue company, which was subject to a massive hack in October 2021.
Coinbase Review: Concerns Raised by Users Over Account Seizures and Lack of Communication
Coinbase is a platform that offers cryptocurrency trading services to its clients. However, it is important to note that there have been some concerns raised by some of its users. One user, R.W. Boyle, from Silver City, NM, has shared his experience with Coinbase, and it is not a good one.
According to Boyle, he opened a Coinbase Pro account to invest in cryptocurrency. However, after several weeks, he was unable to buy, sell, convert, or withdraw funds from his account. When he contacted Coinbase's support team, he was informed that his account had been blocked for "security" reasons. However, no explanation was given, and he was told that he would have to wait for a month to find out if his account was "eligible" for reinstatement.
Boyle was forced to wait until December 10th to request that his account be unblocked. He had to go through the complete identity verification process again, including an additional verification from Microsoft. However, after several days' wait, he was informed that his case was not even "eligible" for review to determine if they would bother to unblock the account. Again, any explanation or communication as to what triggered the issue was specifically refused. The next date for an alleged consideration is January 17, 2022.
Boyle has been denied access to his account for approximately six weeks now. Coinbase has unlawfully prevented him from having "full control of your crypto" and from being able to "invest, spend, save, earn, and use," or withdraw funds. He has called on Coinbase to simply release his investments so he might remove them to an honest exchange and cancel his Coinbase account. However, they refuse. This is completely unreasonable. No other industry seizes customer assets for "secret" reasons.
Boyle's experience is not unique. There have been reports of hundreds of private accounts being seized by Coinbase. They cite section 7.7 of their service agreement, claiming a "security issue" then they appropriate the assets. Since they refuse to identify the issue, one has no idea if the claim is real or fraudulent. No explanation or recourse is offered to the client. At this point, it appears that crypto purchases are in far more danger from Coinbase than from any hacker. It is no surprise that there is a current class action lawsuit against Coinbase over this exact issue.
In conclusion, it is important to be cautious when using Coinbase. While it may seem like a convenient platform to invest in cryptocurrency, there have been concerns raised by some of its users. It is important to do your research and understand the risks involved before investing your money.
Need help from support.
The most annoying thing about Coinbase is that they never respond to anyone. They locked my Account with all the profits that I have made from my investment portfolio wit Plan Off. This is more than 17,000 EUROS. customer support has not been answering. Need help ASAP. All lines are busy when ever I tried to reach them complete an overseas transaction. I did EVERY single account verification (photo ID, etc) and was told my account was verified. I put money into coinbase 7 days ago. The money has been withdrawn by coinbase from my bank account 5 days ago. I still cannot complete the transaction and coinbase says I have 0 BTC purchased when I try the transaction but it shows several hundred dollars of BTC in my coinbase wallet.
Desired outcome: Need answers to my calls asap
Withdrawals of BTC paid with bank account ACH transfers
So far Coiunbase has imposed 10-day or more hold periods on withdrawals of BTC purchased using a bank account transfer. When it happened a second time (I have a slow learning curve, I thought the first was a fluke).Coinbase claims it is for my security?! Funny, that the banks give us access to ACH funds within a few hours of completion. I complained more vociferously at the 2nd instance, they reduced the hold period to 5-days. Since their online Chat and phone support just parrot company policy and send reams of reading material - I decided to use Linked-in to get in contact with their management team - their CEO never responded, I think their CFO must have gotten a message to support.
What a way to treat a new customer and stockholder!
Desired outcome: Policy changeProtection on BTC value from purchase pointInterest on funds that are subjected to holds.
I transferred $50,000 from my bank to Coinbase 5/18/23. They put a "hold" on the funds for 4 days, then emailed me 5/22/23 telling me funds were "available" to trade. I immediately bought $50,000 of crypto which they acknowledged in another email, then the next day (5/23/23) told me they never received my funds and that 1) I owed them $50,000, 2) I had ONE DAY to pay, 3) they would immediately initiate "recovery" of (translation: seize!) my crypto to pay this debt. They locked my account so I couldn't log in which was necessary in order to file a "support ticket" which had to be done FIRST, before I could even file a complaint!
Sound Kafka-esque? There's more:
I had sent many, many emails to security.coinbase.com and to jira@coinbase.com with screenshots showing that Coinbase had, in fact, received the $50,000 on 5/18/23, and which Coinbase acknowledged in an email to me on 5/22/23. DAYS later, I got a one-sentence reply telling me neither of those emails responded to consumer complaints and I would have to go on Coinbase's website to (a) get a support ticket issued, (b) if that didn't resolve the issue, only THEN could I file a complaint...BUT Coinbase had locked my account so I couldn't even log in...
I finally got the support ticket issued and requested a PHONE call... sounds simple, right? WRONG! My phone blocks unknown numbers so I asked Coinbase to txt msg me first and give me the # that would call, so I could add it to contacts, and the call would go through... They refused! (citing "security reasons")
Since I can't even TALK to Coinbase on the phone, I will forward my complaint to the SEC, FTC, FCC, DOJ, and let some crypto YouTubers know about this complete lack of regard for customers!
Commerce
Dear Sir or Madam,
I wish to practice my right as a customer of Coinbase to use your organisation's service, seeking a formal, impartial investigation to amicably settle my dispute with Coinbase.
I am writing to report a scam I fell victim to involving the purchase of three crypto mining machines through Coinbase Commerce. Service Request Number: 1-[protected] As I was struggling to pay my mortgage and keep my business afloat during the COVID-19 pandemic, I thought investing in mining machines would be a good way to generate income. The payment was made through Coinbase Commerce, which I believed to be a secure and reputable payment system. Unfortunately, after I made the payment, the seller never shipped the order. It turned out that the seller was a scammer posing as an original manufacturer, Innosilicon. I have reached out to Coinbase multiple times to request a refund, as they received a service charge on the transaction, but they have told me repeatedly that they are irresponsible and that there is no regulation in place to help me recover my money. Losing over $15,000 for the purchase of these machines has put me and my family in a very difficult situation. I never thought that I would be a victim of such an unpleasant online scam, and I feel disappointed that a reputable company like Coinbase has not taken any responsibility to protect its customers. They actually merged cases, and they failed to respond to my concerns, which calls for me to defend my rights. I am reaching out to the Complaints Board because my complaint with the Better Business Bureau didn't go well in the hopes that justice can be served and Coinbase can be held accountable for its role in facilitating this scam. I'm not saying that Coinbase directly stole money from me, but they facilitated the fraud; they made it possible to happen, considering the fact they took commission; they owe a fiduciary duty to me; and basic investigation helps me understand the company's position; otherwise, I have reason to suspect that Coinbase is just another unscrupulous business. I hope that Coinbase will do the right thing for their customers, and I appreciate any assistance you can provide.
Many thanks,
Bon

Crypto trading platform
I have been a Coinbase user for a few years but have not had to wait 10 days for my funds to be available. I recently Transfer (Purchased) $4000.00 via a Credit union Account at Space Coast Credit Union. Prior to the transaction I requested a help desk chat session. During this session a question was posed concerning availabilty of funds that were purchased in a 24 hr period.
The customer service chat rep stated the following . The funds that are purchased on platform from a verified account will be available for trading and may be sent to an external crypto wallet.

05:22 PM
You need to get your facts correct
05:22 PM
I am now setting on $3890.00 dollars and no way to transfer to an external wallet
05:22 PM
This was a total lie and they should train their representatives to provide accurate detailed verified info.
This didn't happen.. I am still waiting for 10 days to access my funds
I had on $76.00 of the 4000 transfered avaiable to move to an external wallet.
This time they didn't use a gun to rob me but a hold for 10 days is unacceptable.
Desired outcome: I would like this hold be removed so I can remove my assets and close my account.... Never will do business with these crooks again.
