mini collectables
I visited the store closest to me Thompsons Corner - spent $188 only received 4. Advertising said for every $30 spent you get 1.
The guy that served me only had the 4 left in his box but all other cashiers had more, he didn't even try to get me more just walked off.
Very disappointed as I always do my bulk shopping at Woolies but seems it was a mistake.
False advertising = bad word of mouth.
pricing error
Went to coles winmalee yesterday and the ticket on the shelf for the karicare goats milk stage 2 said "$15 everyday" being this is the only formula my daughter can tale that doesn't make her vomit for 2 hours straight I grabbed 2 tins. I thought yes can get 2 for 1 considering there usually $35 each.
When I took the tins to the registers and scanned them it stated the old price I questioned the young lady at self serve she called someone to double check, that someone came back and conformed that there was a ticket for the coles brand formula was in the spot of the karicare goats milk formula.
It isn't my fault that the staff had stuffed uo and put the wrong ticket in the location or had put the karicare goats milk in the spot of the coles brand formula.
Both staff members involved were really rude about and then refused to give me the tins of formula at $15. I worked at coles 7 years ago I thought coles had a good policy of pricing errors like this but obviously not anymore. All the staff kept telling me was that "goats milk is expensive and you will never see it at that price and if you do its wrong".
I won't this resolved please I find it unacceptable to walk into a shop where they are rude and refuse to follow policy my 5 month old daughter just got out of hospital I should not of been treating like I was stupid and didn't know what I was buying.
little shop promotion.
I just wish to register my dissatisfaction with the whole 'Little Shop' promotion.
We have 8 year old twins who have been avidly collecting the items and, now as the promotion has nearly run its course, they have no chance of collecting a full set each.
Whenever we shop at Coles Supermarkets we continually get the same items and are unable to get variations to complete a set (let alone two sets).
Amazingly some person in Ballarat is selling a complete set for $400 - how did they get a full set I hear you ask. Easy, they, their partner or friend works at Coles.
This is the problem with all these types of promotion, the staff take them home. They can 'feel' each packet and collect the ones they want. When we have been given an item we already have multiples of (you can feel what it is through the wrapper), we have requested to swap for another - standard response - NO.
The same problem occurred at Woolworths with their Marvel disc promotion.
The $30 spend for each 'Little Shop' item is, in my opinion, excessive. If you spend $29, bad luck, you get nothing.
All in all a disappointment to my children.
I can assure you that we have now ceased to shop at Coles and will now use Aldi and IGA.
Thank you.
coles little shop collectables
I am not happy that someone I know has been to our local Nambour Coles the last two Sundays and spent forty dollars and thirty five dollars respectively and received 9 and 8 mini collectables respectively. She doesn't even have children. I have been buying on line and instore spending hundreds of dollars and trying to get the set for my daughter and only ever receive the correct amount. We still don't have the set. I just think that there has been such unfair distribution and why does someone only spend 35 or 40 dollars and get 8 and 9 when I get two for spending 75 dollars or 8 for spending 240 dollars. Totally unfair and corrupt staff for being selective in how they unfairly distribute the toys. Stick to the rules please or give me a whole set to make up for all the money I always spend at Coles. I have introduced many people to shopping with Coles and been a very loyal customer but this has really been unfair.
missing items, non substituted items, ban usual amount of milk I buy
It's happening in Largs North SA all the time, late deliveries, driver's with attitude, missing items all the time, items marked for substitution not replaced like coffee toilet paper, essential items, I purchase for a fortnight and for the past five years have been ordering 15 litres Coles uht lite milk, since the plastic bag issue, bear in mind that I have a massive amount of reusable bags that they refuse to take, I went to go through check out yesterday and they have put a restriction on the amount of milk that I can purchase, I am now only allowed 12 litres a fortnight as a big sign comes up going through checkout saying this is a bulk order remove excess, I don't drive this was the only way I could shop, now I have to find another way or run out of milk, heaven knows what other changes are about to take place but I'm expecting many, I ALREADY HAVE REUSABLE BAGS, I don't need or want to pay every fortnight for new useless thicker plastic bags which they won't take back to reuse for my next fortnight's shopping
customer service
Hello, I recently spent $104.77 in the Inglae farm shopping centre, I line up to be served by one of your operators and to have to wait a bit longer as her friend was before me in line, I also became aware the operator provided her friend extra mini Coles collectables.. at least 3 more. Once I finally was served I was only given the 1 colectable instead of my 3. I only noticed once I got home and was very upset, as I'm collecting these and spent more than enough to receive my full 3 items. I understand people make mistakes but the previous friend got more than required. I don't want this operator to get in trouble, but this type of behaviour makes me not want to come in and shop at your stores. I would just like my collectables which I paid for in my bill. You can check my purchase - dated on 04/08 receipt :6312 at 12.48- total $ 104.75 like I said I don't won't the operator to get into trouble, but I have been pondering over this for a week and just don't think this is fair and would like y collectables which I should have received. It should be a fair system for all, not just for friends.
customer service
As I walked into Coles to get some cash out I grabbed a water bottle and twic bar and used the self service machine and was rejected. I asked the man observing what I was doing wrong and he told me that I needed to go to the front desk. I asked the lady at the front dress if I could return what I had bought as I only needed cash out. Looking like she's had a big day and didn't want to be there she grabbed the item and refunded. She rushed me to get the cash out and it declined again to which she responded " you can't press credit" to which I didn't respond and she was ready to walk away . I asked if I could try cheque.. I could tell she didn't have any patients. As I got my cash thrown into my hands I walked away to have a smart remake made by the lady who served me ( Trish) " pfftt t's you're own fault!" I turned around to see who it had come from and asked to speak to the manager. The manager seemed like she was good friends with her coworker and didn't not have a care in the world to what I had to say. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I was much younger than them. I am appalled and will not be going to Coles again.
I told a friend about this incident who works in the same block and she said that she had seen the same women have the same attitude to an elder lady telling her to " go home and get out of here" if this is the type of people you employ than you must be out of your mind. Ridiculous! Poor woman would be better working as a trolley collector where she doesn't need to speak.
coles little shop
I'm SO disappointed with Coles for introducing more plastic waste into our environment.
If you take more steps backwards like this I will shop elsewhere. I have been supporting Coles because of the number of sustainably sourced and Fair Trade products available - this Little Shop promotion is just the opposite.
They will be thrown out in a short time in general and end up as microbeads in the environment.
Very Disappointing!
Yours Sincerely,
Anne Denham
customer service
Hello, this morning I shopped with coles Christies beach and was served by a women by the name of sally,
I put my stuff up ready to be scanned the women snatched and banged my products around I asked her how she was and grumpily yelled at me "good" and didn't comment further, just continued to throw my shopping around being extremely rude and damaging my goods. She then asked quite rudely am I collecting ? I said yes my kids quite like the mini collectables not only did she not acknowledge my answer she did not give me any.
I am extremely upset and feel don't feel like shopping at coles Christie's beach anymore as this kind of customer service is heartbreaking. This women damaged my goods.
As I was leaving another lady came to Sally's register she rudely told the women "look your going to have to go to another checkout because I need to go on my tea break ...
so quite disappointing ...
This is honestly the worst customer service I've ever received.
extremely bad bananas
We purchased bananas fro Coles Geraldton at $4.40 kg quite high for bad bananas..my partner could not even eat them they where so bad ..I have photos if requested..We live in Dongara which is roughly 140km round trip so we couldn't just jump in the car to take them back ..even if they had been $1 kg we would not have bought them in this state ...you just need some serious feedback on this
coles lamb
I have submitted this before and had no response so I'm sending again.
I there is no proof of labelling on Coles fresh lamb in the meat section of the supermarket.
Lamb sold in NSW supermarkets is not stamped with a lamb stamp that is supposed to be readable to provide proof of identity. Please show me the information to prove it is I fact Australian lamb. To my knowledge Australian lamb is to be stamped at the point of inspection when slaughtered. Please feel free too show me legislation that would be contrary to my belief. attached photos of Coles lamb and IGA lamb as well as information
mini plastic shopping items
I find it so disturbing that a large company as yourself is so ignorant to the environment. You clearly have no care or compassion for the people, plants or animals of this world. The fact that you have distributed millions of tiny plastic pieces of shopping in the month of july, which in the community that I live in has been living consciously to ban plastic from our lives as much as we can, is like a kick in the [censored]. What even is the point of us consciously caring when huge corporations like you do crazy stuff like this? Why people even want small shopping items as toys when they already buy shopping with loads of plastic to throw away is beyond me, I can think of nothing more annoying & wasteful. Are you even aware of the fact that plastic does not break down? Ever! It is in your power as a large company to set an example. Please try better in the future. Im sure you have children, think of them & what kind of world you are leaving behind for them. You ban the bag which is great, thank you, but then this!? Pure madness
hot smoked salmon fillets
Hello,
I purchased two items of the Hot Smoked Salmon Fillets Coles online. I thought I ordered frozen salmon, however, it turned out to be already cooked and ready to serve. So I ate it without cooking it and ended up with food poisoning. I have only had one piece from one pack. I have not opened the other pack. I would like my money back as I was not satisfied with the item.
This item was purchased on 25 July 2018. I can provide further details such as an online receipt of purchase if required.
Thank you.
Regards,
Sandy

product and service
We, the parents are absolutely appalled at the chaos you've created for us and our children with your Coles Mini Collectables.
What's even more disgusting is the staff not offering them to unsuspecting customers hence taking those unclaimed toys home for themselves without spending the required $30 in order to receive just collectible.
An example, yesterday on Sunday the 5th of August while at the checkout queue I noticed that the staff member named Ujwala did not offer the Collectables to the first two customers while the customer who spent $240 only received 4 Collectables until I pointed out to her that she got ripped off and should have received double the amount of the Collectables for the amount of dollars she spent in that one transaction.
The worst Coles so far are Eastgardens, Maroubra, Roselands and Clempton Park.
I am a single mother on a fixed salary and budget so I can not afford to be running around spending unnecessary money just to fill up my daughter's album!
I have information that your staff had been selling the Coles Collectables on EBay for up to $12 a piece, something they have been getting for nothing.
I myself as well as other mothers from school are considering taking our story to the Current Affair and exposing Coles for this mess they've created as their promotional ploy.
I was very happy doing my weekly shopping at Woolworths and Aldi and will most probably will go back to doing same as I will want nothing more to do with Coles after this!
I request that you send my daughter the Sunbites, Nescafé Coffee, Lipton Tea, Potato Gems, Bolognese Sauce and Milo to complete her collection.
You are welcome to check all my Coles transactions through my Flybuys membership
plastic miniatures
One of your miniatures was slipped into my husband's shopping yesterday.
I was going to write that it is unbelievable that you would be producing crap miniatures of your products in PLASTIC.
But then I reflect on your completely thoughtless and gutless performance regarding plastic bags and it is not unbelievable at all.
Such a sad and pathetic performance Coles.
One can only hope that this crap can be recycled.
I do not wish to update my complaint, I think you get the picture.
poor quality oranges again - manly vale store
Appalled the your supermarket sells a bag of oranges for full price that hand have clearly been sitting in cold store for months.
I am chopping orange segments ready for my son's football game tomorrow and will need to throw more than half the bag out.
Why advertise Coles as a market for quality food when clearly you think it's ok to sell rubbish!
This, combined with your back tracking on banning plastic bags means that I will not be shopping with you for a long time and I will certainly tell friends and family about this extremely poor service.
ban on single use plastic bags
There are times that people just want a few items when they have slipped out to Lunch and don't want to take all their shopping bags for example. It is definitely taking longer to get out of the checkouts because the staff have to fiddle with all the different size bags that the customer brings.
If the fruit and veggie bags go, I don't relish the thought of all of my fresh fruit and vegetables rolling around the bottom of the trolley, after Mum has had all of her kids standing in the trolley. Please let sense and sensibility prevail.
Just as I suspected, an announcement has just been made in an article that stated, that Woolies stands to save the company circa $71 million per year by banning plastic bags and I bet Coles would not be to far behind. Convenient for their bottom lines, not so convenient for their customers!
Lastly, all of our shopping bags in the past have never been single use. They do eventually arrive in landfill, but not before they get filled with household rubbish and kitchen scraps. I note Coles and Woolies are still selling plenty of single use Kitchen bin liner bags and single use freezer bags. You might call me cynical, but I believe the motive has alot to do with the companys bottom line and not so much the environment.
Sincerely Peter K.
online order/delivery
I placed order #[protected] for $152.26 on Wednesday 31/7/2018 for delivery to Redbank QLD between 4 - 5pm. I also applied Promo Code "GET10" giving me a $10 discount and as it was my first online order delivery would be free.
I left work early to ensure that I was home in time for delivery. Received sms at 4:26pm 31/7 advising that order would be arriving in approximately 30 minutes.
I waited and I waited and I waited… :-( I received a phone call from 03 [protected] at 6:18pm and Georgia left a message advising that there had been a problem with the order (internet related?). Why did it take so long to tell me that there was an issue? I had been sitting around since 4pm… :-( I had other commitments that evening which I had to cancel due to the delay and poor communication around the Coles delivery.
I rang [protected] twice at 6:24pm and 6:29pm. Both times the automated system didn't recognize the order number so the second time I waited until I could speak to someone. Once I got through I was advised that there been a truck breakdown which prevented my order from being delivered. This was not what I was originally told. I understand things happen that are out of our control however I should have been advised of an issue much earlier!
Anyway I was given 2 options…
1. Collect the order myself from Ripley which is roughly 20kms away from Redbank. Without a car this is obviously somewhat difficult.
2. Have the order delivered the next day between 2 - 5pm.
There was a long discussion as I couldn't understand why the order couldn't be put through for the same delivery time as the original order (ie 4 - 5pm). I did not receive a satisfactory explanation as to why this was not possible and also explained that I would need to take time off work to make sure that I was home for the delivery. Having such a large delivery window made this very difficult… :-(
I was told that there was nothing she could do but she would speak to her manager. After several minutes she came back and told me once again that there was nothing she could do and it would have to 2 - 5pm or not at all. Not happy Coles!
I was already angry about the way I had been treated and this just made it worse. I have worked in Information Technology for over 30 years and cloning an order is basic stuff and I still can't understand why everything including the delivery time couldn't be copied into a new order. For a business as big as Coles I am very surprised that such a simple thing can't be done. Extremely poor software and poor customer service!
Anyway I gave in and agreed for the delivery to be sent between 2 - 5pm the next day even though I was not happy and would have to take time off work. What choice did I have?... :-( I was also told that my credit card had NOT been charged as the original order wasn't delivered.
Later I received emails to advise that new order #[protected] had been created and the original order #[protected] had been cancelled.
Next day Wednesday 1/8 I receive an email early in the morning stating that the order will now be delivered somewhere between 2:50pm and 3:50pm. I didn't see this email until later in the day and had already organised to work from home rather than risk not being here.
At 1:15pm 1/8 I received an email stating that one of the items ($14) I ordered was unavailable and wouldn't be delivered. As the order as finalised I had no way of substituting anything in its place. The funny thing was that this item was available in the original order and would have been delivered the day before but now was unavailable :-(
Received sms at 3:17pm 1/8 advising that order would be arriving in approximately 30 minutes. Once again I waited and I waited and I waited… :-( By 5:09pm I had given up, thinking that it was happening again, so I rang [protected] to try and find out what was happening but once again the automated system wouldn't accept the new order number. Great quality control Coles! So I wait…
Finally after another 10 minutes the truck finally arrives. I met the driver as he didn't come over at first. He advises me that there is a problem with the credit card payment. This is news to me!
He rings customer service and they advise that apparently I WAS charged for the original order. They have since raised a refund and now I need to pay for the new order. What a mess and what terrible communication!
I reconfirm the order details (before paying) and notice that the $10 Promo wasn't applied and the delivery has been charged as it is no longer considered to be the first order… :-(
So the original order was for $152.26 less $10 Promo Code, less the $14 for the item which was not available to be delivered comes to the new invoice amount of $128.26. However I was being asked to pay $148.26 which of course was unacceptable.
Customer Service discussed with the manager and offered a $25 rebate which reduced the invoice amount to $123.26 which resulted in an actual overall reduction of $5 in total for all my inconvenience. Woohoo! So for all the inconvenience, hours of waiting, cancelling plans etc. I received $5 compensation! Are you serious?!
I had to leave work early on 31/7 and sat around for over 2 hours wasting my time. The next day I had to work from home and waited from 2pm until 5:20pm for a delivery for which I was overcharged. Let alone the lack of communication and incorrect communication from your customer service team…twice!
Worst experience ever Coles!
PS… The truck driver is to be congratulated for his handling of the situation. Everyone else gets a thumbs down! :-(
