coles salted pistachios
Today at @16:30 my partner and I where eating Coles Saluted Pistachios. As I proceed to crack shell off and place in my mouth, I noticed a maggot. I'm sicken and very distressed over my discovery.
I have now placed into plastic bags, taken photos (see attached)
I will consider taking this matter further after I seek legal advice.
I look forward to your response in relation to this incident.
jeffs unsalted 250 gm butter best by date 16/6/2018
I recently purchased 2 packs of Jeffs unsalted butter and when I went to cook with them found both packs had mould under the packaging, indicating there has been a breakdown of sterile conditions at manufacture or lack of refrigeration at some point after supply.
Considering people are very allergic to mould, I have a son who has a transplanted organ so I was horrified to see it. I have never had mould in butter before ever.
There must be a problem with sterile production methods.by the producer
It's a health hazard.
Considering deaths from rockmelon of recent times. The health department must be notified.
I also have this issue with Jeff's Unsalted Butter BB 13/06/2018
I have the similar experience from Coles Waterloo (NSW) and Zetland (NSW). I bought 1 pack in each store and it was horrible, like old, rancid, with traces of faeces in taste and smell, no mold though. I threw it away. Coles has been short of stock or at minimum of their private label butter and they have been selling this. Maybe they know that (and it would be scandalous seriously) but they try to push it away as fast as possible - it was even on sale one week.
the way you price the shelves not matching the product
To day I shopped at Coles Glenmore Park which is a lovely store and I enjoy shopping there but... I went to get some sparking water and the price below the item I selected said special $2. something. On check out I was charged $7.90 as it was not that item that was being reduced. I had my money refunded at the customer service counter as they went to check out what I have just told you and they said it was not this item but the next one, a smaller bottle. (the label special and price were in big letter but the quantity of water was written so small I did not notice it, as I trusted your marketing... then) The end result is, as I mentioned, I got my money back, you completely lost a sale on the item and you have one very dissatisfied and angry customer over the stocking of shelves misguided practice.

huggies nappy pants
I just purchased a pack of huggies nappy pants for my 19 month old daughter. She had a nappy on for an hour before she started screaming i went to change her nappy and she has the most horrible rash with blisters. My poor bubs is miserable this is the first time trying the nappy pants and she had no rash or redness before putting the huggies nappy pants on. I am not happy with this product and can not afford to be replacing nappies.
dairy farmers classic milk range
Why doesn't Coles at Muswellbrook NSW sell Dairy Farmers classic smooth and creamy vanilla malt? I asked a worker there and their response was they do sell Dairy Farmers classic strawberry and chocolate but not the vanilla malt, they sell other brands in the vanilla malt which I think personally are no comparison at all they also said that the Dairy Farmers classic range is one of the most popular but they just don't have enough room to stock the vanilla malt maybe they should consider making room by taking away one of the less popular vanilla malt brands and replace it with Dairy Farmers.
caesar salad bowl
Good afternoon,
I purchased this product from your Coles store at Keilor Plaza Victoria on Monday 12th March'18. When I opened it today I found a wasp in the bowl and the salad, as usual was going brown even though the due by date was today, 14/3/2018.
I'm letting you know this so you can have your product checked in future. Also I believe you need to shorten the use by date as the lettuce goes off way too early.
coles customer service representative at service desk
Monday the 12th of March 2018, between hours of 5:00 pm 5:20 pm we approached the Service/Information/Cigarete desk wit our families shopping receipts x 5. We saved up our shopper receipts between our three families over period of one week & we were on our way to collect the tokens for my 10 year olds school.
Coles Employee who served us was a short in stature, trim in build, short brown hair & wore glasses.
From the moment my child opened her mouth to ask for school tokens, we were both attacked by this person, yelling on top of her voice "No No No, you can't do this, you must get tokens straight away when you shop, not collect them & then come here" people were coming out from everywhere to see what the commotion was all about, my child was mortified, I was embarrassed, as a person with the obvious disability I don't want any unwanted attention at all.
After what seamed like an eternity she took out handful of school sports tokens & through them at us, then walked away.
As a such a large company Coles should be employing Friendly, Helpful Staff, especially Staff who work at the Service Desks at the front of the stores, staff who are the face of your store.
My 10 year old daughter walked away shocked & scared from this interaction on Monday, let's face it 10 year olds are not equipped to deal with such confrontations, especially by Adult Staff Members at the local Coles store.
I want this person reprimanded, put her through a course on how to deal with customers & their children appropriately. Or remove her from the vicinity of unexpecting customers & their children.
She is toxic & rude.
insufficient checkouts open
10/3/2018 at 17:16 at Coles Tamworth City store # 8761 our receipt number is 1186 on register 1, we had completed our shopping and went to the checkouts to find there was only one checkout open and already service several customers with full trolley's, the express checkout was not serving anyone and there were 2 other staff members in the customer service kiosk so we went to the express checkout and began unloading our trolley and the checkout operator began scanning our items but said that she had to tell us that this was 12 items only and we should have gone to another checkout, I said we would have if there had been others open and I could see that there were staff at the express checkout that were serving no one and at the other Coles stores in Tamworth that we use they are usually happy to serve the customers wherever it is appropriate. While we were being put through the checkout the 2 other staff in the kiosk served the couple of other customers that came to the express lane so I commend them for their initiative but the checkout operator continued to try to convince us that we should have gone to the other checkout and that it would only take a few minutes to go through it which we feel was not acceptable. Ultimately we completed our transaction and left the store while 2 people that we would have been waiting behind at the other checkout were still being put through.

fresh produce
Lack of fresh produce although coles are always advertising that they are. How it seems to make a big difference where you live country verses city where the shops on tv seem to have a far better range and fresher.Everyone I know prefers fresh over something that looks like it should have been thrown out. Also coles staff who shop with their kids (who should be at school) and let them poke at everything from bread to cakes, meat ect and nothing is said to them by the other staff who see this happening.Woolworths is definitely looking to be a better option.
Often at Coles palm beach qld they will have meat for sale 1 day after the best before date apparently not illegal but not good for customer relations especially when you point this out to management and they think you are an [censor]. Throw it out or sell it on day of best before for at least half price

discrimination
Monday 26/3/2018. I am writing on behalf of a disabled Person "Sister In-law" who visited me on the weekend. I was appalled by the experience she had in the "Coles Supermarket" at Wingham NSW. Her and her son who is 12years old did her very first shopping at this store.
Once they had finished their shopping "A bit less than half a trolley full". She then read the sign that reads "Disabled" and 12 items or less. She started putting the items on the belt when the operator "Gillian" said and I quote: no you have too many items take them off and go to the other end of the store. I said, the sign reads "Disabled". Gillian "F.E.C. then said: it's for people in a wheel chair. I then said no it's a disabled sign you should not discriminate, I am disabled, I need crutches to walk and I have had callipers on my legs all my life. In a stern voice Gillian repeated: take them off and go down the other end of the store. So with that she took all the items back off the belt and went down the other end of the store and found another checkout. (There were no other customers in the que when I started putting items on the belt)
By the time she got back in the car she was very upset and so was her son. She then called the manager on the phone and explained what happened. The manager did not seem to have much empathy for a disabled person, she seem to brush it all away.
So apart from discrimination, abuse, causing upset, embarrassment and the humiliation of a new customer what are you going to do about this.
This cannot lay here it must be brought to the media's attention. You have my letter what is your response Coles.
Steve
Well the balcatta store in western australia has sunk to a new low... staff members screaming at each other.. thursday march 8th... one staff member screaming at another 'i'll get you sacked if it's the last thing I do... now f*off!' charming I must say
cream/oil on the floor
I am writing regarding my uncle slipping in coles ingleburn. He is in Sydney as a visa holiday and ended up slipping in Coles as there was oil or cream on the floor in aisle 9. This was caught on the cameras, a form was filled out, he could not even walk properly and was in too much pain, he didn't even sleep last night. This is unfair and unacceptable to my uncle.
This is UNACCEPTABLE
delivery truck driver
To whom it may concern,
I am writing on behalf of my husband who was physically abused by your delivery driver from Coles Online (Australia) shopping, delivering address at Unit 10, 73-75 The Esplanade Guildford, NSW 2161.
On the evening of Tuesday 20th February your delivery driver was aggressively pulling at our security door to the complex, even before he was buzzed up by the homeowner.
My husband was standing outside and told him to please not do that to the door as it will damage the complex door. The delivery man looked but uttered no reply. As he came back down after delivering to Unit 10, my husband calmly spoke to him again asking that next time if he can not aggressively bang the door handle as we have had our garage door damaged recently resulting in many units being robbed. As my husband stated said this, this tall bulky middle eastern in appearance gentlemen put his papers in his pocket walked up to my husband and punched my husband in the face making him fall to the ground.
My husband was stunned and shocked.
My husband was standing with our child in the pram. Our other neighbour who pulled up on the curve side witnessed the whole conversation prior to him delivering the goods and incident involving the drivers first punch. My husband than defended himself. This truck driver began bashing my husband and my husband acted in self defence. The police was called but the driver took off.
The next day we have been informed that unit 10 will no longer get any online deliveries.
I has been overseas and my husband has waited until I was back so he could go in without the children to make a formal statement.
We have contacted the Coles Online call centre Australia and spoke to Steve about this matter yesterday on the 27th February.
I asked Steve on why Unit 10 was given a call that they will not be able to order online as the incident did not involve unit 10 and it was the truck driver who was at fault.
We find this very unprofessional . My husband simply offered a suggestion to this truck driver and the truck driver acted like an animal in return. The commotion and cries of our child in the pram had attracted the other neighbours to come and question what has happened and witnessed the physical assault outside.
We are in the process of contacting the police and completing our reports.
Please be aware that this truck driver was at fault and we have witnesses and CCTV in our complex to support our complaints.
This truck driver was seen like he was under the influence of something, had really bad anger problems and unprofessional to be working for such a high profile supermarket chain.
Please contact Unit 10 and offer an apology and let them continue to shop online as this is to their convenience.
We have found this incident all to be so upsetting and unnecessary as it could have been all avoided if this truck driver had any professionalism or customer service skills.
self service (attendant) @ fountain gate shopping centre narre warren
Today, Wednesday 28th February 2018, l was shopping at the Fountain Gate Coles Supermarket at approximately 10.30am.
After collecting my groceries (about 11 items), l went to go through the Self Services but was stopped by your attendant. She informed me that l could not use the self service as l had my items in a small trolley ( l was purchasing am 8kg bag of dog food) and it was only hand baskets allowed. I said to her that l couldn't fit the 8kg bag of dog food in a hand basket but she insisted that l couldn't go through and that it was "Head Office Instructions". I then sent to the line where the serviced check outs where. I was so annoyed by this stage l left my trolley and told the lady at the self serve check out to tell head office to 'get stuffed'.
My issue with this is:
1. The 8kg bag of dog food is BIG and it won't fit into a hand basket
2. There was only 1-2 other customers going through the self service when
I wanted to use it.
3. I like to use self service because when l pack my shopping l use minimal
bags and if something gets broken or squashed its my fault.
I would understand if it was busy at that time, but it wasn't!
I then proceeded to your Berwick Coles - Relucantly.
This experience was great. The dog food that l brought there was on special which it was not at Fountain Gate and the Self Service Assistant was really helpful. There was NO Signage at this store saying that you could only use a hand basket with 12 or less items.
No very good Coles! Maybe put your signs up on the weekend or busy days but not on a Wednesday morning when there just aren't that many customers in your store. No impressed at all Fountain Gate Coles
staff
I shop coles south grafton all the time, but over the last month has been a nightmare due to one of the staff that works there. The young ladies name is carla. Carla as been pulling any body & every body up that she can &I tell them stuff that she has done & said in her past which happened over 5 years ago. I've told carla that I don't care to hear about it as it's stuff she shouldn't be telling customers. Concerning matters of drugs, making false statements & so on. The more you tell this staff member that you don't to hear about it the more she goes on about. I've noticed that it's not only customers she annoying as it's other staff as well. I have concerns as she has even said she has had thoughts of self harm, she reckons she wasn't thinking one day & ran a stop sign. Carla needs some help as she is going to get a customer one that will go off at her as they are not interested. As I tell carla every she sees me that I don't want to hear as I have my own problems. It's got so bad that carla is doing my head in. So if I have to go to coles I check before entering store to see if carla is on then I don't go in. Also carla will bale people up in car park to tell them her problems. I've even told the service desk staff about carla & that something has to be done. I know a few friends have complained as well. It seems that nothing is begin done. Carla should be made have time off & sort her stuff out & get herself together.
Pissed off that this sort of behaviour is aloud in the store.
night supervisor at north sydney and dog problems
Tonight at north sydney the night supervisor was arrogant to me and cocky as I asked where the salad dressing was he pointed and flipped me with his head in street language there it is, its the only one there. I thought what that's not true. I said to the night supervisor at north sydney coles tonight whats with your attitude he said I have no attitude I thought hmmmmm! I said this is going no where I asked a simple question I am get rudeness. Later as I walked around trying to find the salad dressing it was ile 5 I grabbed the italian one I wanted. I laughed to myself thinking the night supervisor is unprofessional and stupid. Seriously. He didn't care what I said. Just flipped me off with his head. Saying in street tough language. I thought do you know you are on duty.
Plus customers keep bring their dogs into the supermarket and tying them up that should not be happening. There is fruit and veggies and dogs carry bugs. Germs!
Two photos attached for dogs in the complex where coles supermarket kings cross and north sydney. 1/ the dog could attack someone walking out the supermarket and 2/ dogs carry all kinds of germs why security allows this no dogs allowed in complex of coles supermarket yet the customers still do it. Can something be done, please. Germs! Fruit and vegetables can be contaminated by the dog., or bite someone walking out of the supermarket. Consequence
quality of fresh food
We completed an online food order for customer pick up on 6th February.
The fresh food/vegetables we were provided with were not suitable for sale and not fresh.
The broccolini was perished and not suitable for eating.
The strawberries only lasted 1 day in the fridge and were perished and not suitable for eating.
The mushrooms only lasted 2 days in the fridge and were perished and not suitable for eating.
When paying good money this is not what wer lexpect and given we dont live in a town near Coles we weren't able to return to the store to request a refund.
We shouldn't have to double check the quality of food when ordered online and either collected or delivered.
We will not be using Coles services again and would not recommend Coles services to others given this poor experience.
product
purchased cooked chicken tuesday 20-02-18 about 3pm from nowra store, live 24km. out of town, we had to eat it but that was difficult as it was so overcooked, it should have been thrown out yours faithfully. denis hilaire This is easy to read ! I dont know what more to say, except maybe, get a new cook and some more fresh chickens to cook. ! and as far as spending $70 + per week for 4 weeks to get a few points and putting up with this rubbish is ridiculous . I don't want anything except good product .

lack of staff & lack of products
Every week day I shopped at Coles Kareela. It has been my choice of supermarkets for almost 30 years. Firstly, for its convenient location to our home, the friendly and helpful staff, and the availability of many different products. I am sorry to be writing to you to inform you of my extreme dissatisfaction with the lack of staff and products on the shelves.
Wednesday 14 Feb, approximately 6:30pm I went to do my normal shop for dinner and lunches for the following day. I looked for the usual salad items but settle for tomatoes and cumbers, as there was little to choose from and no staff around at the time. I went to the Deli for cold meats for lunches but the women behind the counter, Sharon, was so busy trying to serve the 12 customers in front of her (which I actually counted) she couldn't even look up, so I decided to go to the Service Desk to call a Manager. I was informed there was no Manager in the store for at least another 15 minutes and no one extra to help in the Deli.
The young man, asked if he could help in any way but I noticed, he too was on his own doing the best he could, serving some customer cigarettes at the front and serving the line of people at the first register. There must have been at least 8 to 10 people waiting, some not as patient as others. The Self-Serve line was much the same with customers on each available register. After returning to the Service Desk after 20 minutes, there was still no manager
Thursday 15 Feb, I made a point to go in to the store earlier in the hope the manager was still around. As the front service area was extremely busy I went to the office at the back of the store. One of the staff, Jason I believe his name is, was sitting at a computer. I knocked and asked if I could speak to a manager. He didn't even turn around but said, "Go in the next door on the right." I questioned if I was allowed in there, as it was out the back dock. He answered with a negative attitude, "Well he's in there. You want to see him, don't you?" I pushed the double doors opened a called out "Excuse me." There were two staff members breaking up a pallet. The young guy, Jimmy asked as he walked towards me could he help me? I explained I was sent in here as I wanted to speak to the manager. No sooner had I said that and Paul, the manager stepped out of a door to my right and said he was the manager.
I explained that in the time I have been coming to this particular store I have never been so disappointed with the lack of service due to the lack of staff and the endless empty shelves on a daily basis. I also suggested the employment of staff would be in the stores favour so they could restock the shelves so as to make more money by selling products rather than saving money on not rostering staff. Both suggestions I believe are only common sense, to cater for the customer demand. He categorically said he was in the store until 8pm Wednesday night and all Sharon, from the Deli needed to do, was call for help. That confused me as to why he didn't answer the call from the Service Desk?
The conversation was cut short due to another staff member, Jason approached to listen in. I said it had nothing to do with him, and I would not speak while he was there, do to him calling me something profound in passing, some time ago. The manager looked at him in shock. I explained I'm not here to discuss anything about that incident, I would just like him to address the staff numbers and product demands.
I felt Paul showed very little concern, but offered his apologies and said he will look into it, with reluctances.
