Coricraft Non delivery of item and no response to my request for refund

After paying over R8000 for an order of a double bed and contuous follow up delivery fo over 8 weeks, I was eventually contacted on delivery date to be informed that they had manufactured the wrong item and would have to redo the order. At this point I requested a refund and cancellation. I specifically ordered the item in Fenruary for use for a guest in March which has since come and gone.

Mutiple messages and emails have been sent to Mokgadi on mokgadim@coricraft.co.za and calls to 0116118700 and I am not receiving any feedback. I have rights to a refund urgently for non delivery. This is unacceptable CORICRAFT.

Coricraft cover for chaise

On 11 January 2019 I ordered and paid R4 149.00 for a cover to be made for my chaise. I had already provided Coricraft with an image of my chaise that they had originally manufactured. I was very excited to be asked to collect the cover a number of weeks later. When I returned home I realised that the cover had been sown the wrong way around and would only fit my chaise if the cover were turned inside out. I returned the Chaise cover to Coricraft and was told that they will make up a new one for me as soon as possible. I have been to the store and called in the interim to find out how it's going with the new cover and was told that the cover was being made as we speak. I mailed the store consultant on the 18th of March (weeks after returning the incorrect chaise cover) to once again track the progress. I then recieved a mail from the consultant Moenadia of the Somerset West Mall store saying that they could not give me the cover in the fabric I selected as they don't have sufficient fabric. I want to know what happened in the weeks from the chaise being reported to have been sown incorrectly? Why did it take so long and why did I have to keep asking about the cover only to discover that weeks had passed when nothing had been done. I was told my Moenadia that Coricraft Customer Care would contact me which they have not. I feel that I have paid a lot of money for a cover. One can buy a couch for R4000. I am buying a cover. I feel that I have not been treated well by Coricraft and wish to ask the Head office contact me about this as it's unacceptable.

Coricraft service

I am sending this email to notify you of how disgusting and appalling your service is. I honestly believe you have beautiful products of good quality if only this can be backed up by the service you give. You are honestly lacking when it comes to good customer experience and I will not hesitate to tell anyone that cares to listen to me of your bad service.

I have been dealing with your bad service now for the past two weeks but yesterday and this morning I have reached boiling point limits with your staff. Yesterday I went on line to order some items under your cyber sale, at checkout point I got to the page stating that I should select delivery options when I wanted to choose there were no options. I then called [protected] number on several occasions to get assistance. I started calling this number from 9:30am with no luck. I instead just came through to very rude receptionists who would proceed talking in Sotho whilst I was waiting to be transferred to your on line team, they were actually gossiping about me as the client on the other line and also gossiping about how all these people calling are annoying them. I guess they didn't know I could hearunderstand Sotho.

I never got through to anyone until I decided to call Coricraft Mall of the South as this is the shop that I would normally buy from. A sales person from Mall of the South finally managed to get ahold of Zanele in online who promised to call me back. She did call me but I however missed her call as I was in a meeting. I immediately called back an hour later once my meeting was done and could never get ahold of Zanele. I kept calling like this until at almost 4pm in the afternoon when I eventually got ahold of a Chad Williams who managed to sort out my problem about the delivery options. After my telephone convo with Chad I then received an email from [protected]@coricraft.co.za and [protected]@coricraft.co.za was also copied there this email was quote for the items I wanted to buy and I was told to pay the amount and the delivery charged was correctly removed as I didn't want to pay that as I even said I can collect from Stormill. I subsequently paid and sent the POP to [protected]@coricraft.co.za and [protected]@coricrfat.co.za. I also communicated all this to Chad and also sent him the POP. I was then informed at around 17:20 pm that there was no longer any stock and also found out this morning of this. I enquired how can this be and was told there was stock in the morning but not when I placed the order.

I was however on the line o on your website since 9:30am and it was not my fault that there was all of a sudden no stock because had I received a response in reasonable time I would have placed an order on time and received the stock. So why am I being penalised for you not answering calls or getting back to clients. I sent Chad an email last night asking all this and in true coricraft style its past 12 midday the following day and he still has not bother to responded.

In addition to all this I also had a query with consultant from Mall of the south the previous week who didn't give correct info regarding delivery dates. I complained to the store and also asked for an email address of her superior who I may complain to and I was given the email address [protected]@coricraft.co.za and I sent an email to this email address and again I still have not received a response. I also sent an online query labelled complaint which has also not been responded to. I can provide this email if required.

I am hoping this email reaches someone who responds. I am hoping my email will be read and I will receive a response to ALL my complaints. It wouldn't even be complaints if someone just responds to customers, what is the point of having a store that is supposed to render a service in return for customers paying but you don't even offer good service.

Coricraft service

I made arrangements for my couches to be delivered 17/11/2018. I got the sms to advise that it will be delivered between 13:15 and 15:15.
They came around 13:30 and they brought the one couch in the yard, took the pillows out and took them upstairs. The couch on the other hand remained downstairs and they advised me that there was no way the couch would actually go into my house and I need to go back to the store and chose anther set. Precise words, a slouchy or a 2 seater.

I went back to the store spoke to Maggie to advise her of such, she was very shocked as we remembered then that we actually measured to ensure the couch would fit.

We called the warehouse and I spoke to Kayla who confirmed they will redeliver the couches on Monday, Nov 19. This didn't happen as I got a call from Comfort saying that this is not right as the couches would only be delivered, Nov 20 after 4.

Well this also has NOT happened. I am not happy at all

Coricraft order and account opening

To whom it may comcern
I'm reaching the end of my tither trying desperately to place an order, open account and start payment process. I've been juggling with this for 3 weeks now and I've had no luck. I have now dealt with three ladies from your Hillcrest branch as I am moving from Zambia to kloof on the 10th of December and would like to take the lovely then. I've been sent a quote changed my order and then nothing. I then resubmit my query my order and get a reply from another individual asking when I'm moving. I reply once again with my query my order and my request to open account and start paying and get nothing back. please all I want to do is place my order have it delivered on the 10th December and start paying. It is becoming increasingly difficult and frustrating at the same. Please could you reply to my email today and find the way forward in order for this to happen. Your urgent response will be greatly appreciated.

Coricraft worst shopping experience and service!!!

Coricraft has the most beautiful furniture, but the worst service and I would most definitely not recommend them! We purchased couches and a glass coffee table from them last year. As i wanted to move the coffee table literally 1cm the entire table burst into pieces (this by the way is our second glass table as they one they initially delivered was damaged). Not only cutting my hands (Coricraft did not offer to pay for any medical bills and they were aware of the injury), but bedazzled our couches with small glass pieces that we could not remove. After hours of cleaning the house and numerous back and fort emails and telephone conversations, they finally agreed to replace the table. They initially did not want to replace the couches and mentioned they could get the glass out. After their vacuum process the fabric was damaged and then only after we picked it up, they agreed to new couches. Every time the couches or table had to be replaced my husband had to take from his personal leave at work to be at home. This is a total of 5 days leave so far! Coricraft does not give you an estimated time they will deliver, they only call and say they are in front of your gate.

In the meantime we purchased barstools. This had to be delivered with the new couches in order for my husband not to put in more leave days. The chairs were paid for on 6 Aug 2018 and when it was delivered with the new couches on 29 Sept, it was incorrectly manufactured of course! We were told to be at home between 9am and 11am ending up cancelling our plans as they truck only arrived at 12:30 after I had to follow up as they do not inform you. I stressed the fact numerous times that I urgently needed the chairs and waited long enough for them, I can only give them a week and would need it by 6 Oct latest. They made promises on the phone and in writing that it will be delivered first thing Saturday morning. Friday afternoon 5 Oct, we receive a call that delivery was moved to Tuesday 9 Oct. We have now waited more than 2 months for the chairs! My husband had to take lave AGAIN from work and the only compensation after all the back and forth and drama and leave days and everything that goes along with it... is a R500 in store voucher? This is absolutely ridiculous! If this was Mr price, I would have been satisfied, but Coricraft is expensive and the only thing I can almost buy in the store for R500 is a pillow. The only response we are getting from their management is apologies for the inconvenience.

IF YOU WANT A NICE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE OVERALL REGARDING FURNITURE... CORICRAFT IS DEFINITELY NOT THE PLACE TO SHOP!

Coricraft products and aftercare service

I have many issues with Coricraft:
- After testing a leather dinning room chain in the shop (it was the perfect height and sponge firmness), we ordered 10 to be manufactured. After 6 weeks on arrival, 4 chairs were badly rickety and all of them were upholstered in very soft sponge (not like the shop sample) which made the seating compress, making the height incorrect to the table. After an Assessor came to check them out, the follow up process took about 2 months. I would need to do regular calls to follow up on the chairs. The service department just didn't correspond with me. I did all the chasing!
- I also ordered a dinning room table, which arrived damaged (the one leg was broken). I requested a replacement, buy once again, I would have to continually chase them. The service department are pathetic!
- I ordered 3 Cain chairs. the one's vanish started chipping off after sitting on it twice, so after another assessment, they agreed to collect it for a credit (no replacement stock). I have waited 2 weeks for someone to contact me back regarding the credit, but as expected...no correspondence. I have just called them (from a landline which they don't know, and answered. Once they have your cell number, they can identify it, then they choose to answer or not. In my case I have tried to call them at least 30 times over the past 6 months. And 90 % of my calls were never answered). Luckily my call was answered because they didn't recognize the number!

I have never dealt with such a bad customer service department at a company before!

Coricraft 3 seat couch with removable cover colour blue

We bought 2 couches. The one still looks perfect but the pillows of the and the cover looks as if is 5 years old (within 4 months of purchasing). I took the pillows to Rustenburg shop twice - with no response! The lady there send it to your offices twice! We always buy our couches at Coricraft but will think twice in future!
The lady at the shop took photos and the couch is really not your usual quality.

Coricraft Service

Good day,
I made an order for two Holly Bar stools 50*75*36 . On the 28th of July 2018 along with a Lamercy glass coffee table .

I received the coffee table, however when I was at the warehouse to pick up the order there was only one holly bar stool and they said they couldn't find the other one . I left the warehouse with just the table and was promised it would be sorted out which was on Friday 3rd August . On the very day I took initiative and called the store to notify them of the incident at the warehouse and they said they would get back to me . Of which they did not .
So on Monday the 6th of August I went to the store to complain that no one had bothered to call me or let me know what the problem with the stools was .
I was then told that they would sort it out and that I would be called by Friday the 10th of August 2018.

It's the 17th of August, no one has bothered to call me, to atleast explain what the hold up is, I find this sort of service unacceptable and iv always only received the best service from the staff at your store, Which is why I'm very upset at this recent lack of proper customer service .
Iv since emailed the Botswana manager on the who responded and said they would get back to me . It's now Friday 24th August and no form of communication has been made .

Coricraft product not received after payment

My name is Eulande. I bought a server at the cresta branch in Johannesburg on the 30 July 2018. upon purchasing the server Johanne told me that they only have in the warehouse in cape town and it will take about ten days for the order to arrive in Johannesburg. I agreed to these terms. I received an sms the following day that says my order was processed for delivery. I waited for about 14 days thinking to give the people at least time before contacting them.

I contacted Johanna and asked her where my server is. She did not know. I contacted cape town using the number I received with the sms and no one could assist. I was given Nosipho's details by Ziniswa but I left several messages with no one calling me back. the following day I called again and could managed to get hold of Nosipho. I informed her how I am not impressed with the customer care I received. I really expected a lot better from coricraft. However she apologized and promise to follow this up. I informed her that I also contacted Mark via email but received no help from him either. things appears to be happening as Johanna called me on Monday 20 August after I spoke to Nosipho to tell me that the truck only left cape town this passed Saturday and it will take about 48 hours to arrive in Joburg. She will call me once my server is here. Now it is already been more than 48 hours but I did not hear anything from coricraft.

there was no communication from coricraft until I started calling. even then I had to keep on calling before someone could actually assist me despite the messages I left and emails I send to mark. I understand that at times things don't go as planned but then you have to communicate with the client and keep them up to date. I receive no such from you. But the funny part is no one knew where the order was. and the reason for that is that the order has not been processed to be delivered as the truck only left cape town this past Saturday. Its been 22 days since I bought this server and its been double the 10 days it was suppose to take to deliver the item to me.

I am really disappointed and doubt I will ever buy something from coricraft again.

Hope that I will get a response from this email and that someone can tell me where my order is and when I will receive it

I had the leader couches which I had to exchange in 2016 piling off badly, we even bought the leader protect cream at CoriCraft in Highveld mall and still the couches pilled off. Coricraft warehouse | terrible customer service

My husband and I went to Coricraft in Eastgate Shopping Centre on 13 July to buy some couches and other furniture. We saw couches that we like, and confirmed with Gary Wilson that they are indeed in stock before we paid for the couches. Gary assured us that they have the couches in stock and we proceeded to pay for them. We also advised Gary on the same day that we will be moving to our new house on 01 August 2018 and would like for our couches to only be delivered then. He agreed and advised that it is in order.

On 01 August, the day we moved to our new house, we received a call from the warehouse advising that they cannot find our couches. We phoned Gary and he advised he will check and phone us back. minutes later we get a call from Gary confirming that the couches are indeed missing. He also advised that he cannot understand how as they had the couches in stock.

We then decided to head to the shopping centre and see what else you have, we were willing to compromise on our own happiness just to have couches that were available immediately, once again, you had no couches available immediately, and it would take 6 weeks to get new couches, after which, we requested a refund, but was advised that the refund will take 10 - 12 working days and left. Once again, a huge inconvenience. We phoned Gary to let him know and he was very happy about it, and advised that he will tell the warehouse that we are unhappy about the fact that our couches went missing and push for it to be available within 2 weeks. Now we keep getting calls from Gary advising that they need to close and reopen our account and a whole lot of nonsense.

Your service is disgusting and unprofessional. How can you loose couches that have been paid for 3 weeks before date of delivery?

I phoned head office to complain, but the person I was supposed to speak to was not available and I was told that he would phone me back! I am still waiting for a call?

I am honestly disgusted in the service we have received from yourselves and we will definitely warn other people about this. This is extremely unprofessional and the whole experience has been very unpleasant. We will definitely think twice before purchasing furniture from yourselves again.

Coricraft corner couch

I Bought a corner couch in 2016, was very excited and happy for the couch. The couch compliments the rest of my furniture nicely, however we have noticed now that the couch is pilling like crazy. The couch feels rough and cheap now. Some of our visitors even made ugly comments when we told then we purchased it by Coricraft, The couch is becoming an embarrassment for us now. We dont even wonat visitors to sit on the couches anymore because we afraid of the comments they might make. I have bought a pilling gadget by homemark but it is a mission to shave the whole couch and when shaved it does not stay smooth for very long. The color ofthe couch is a dark grey. When we purchased the couch we were not informed about the side effect of the material otherwise i would not have bought the corner unit at all. I have contacted Coricraft in Canal Walk and they suggested to speak to coricraft head office. I contacted them and was informed that they will send a assessor out on 14 July 2018. The assessor came and informed me that i will get a call back from Coricraft on a way forward. I eventually received my call but they were unsympathetic and only said they are sorry. The lady informed me that she will inform her Manager and get back to me. I still haven't heard from them. This is entirely unacceptable. I would not have been in this predicament if we knew that the couch will pill in the future. I contacted the consumer protector this morning 20 June 2018 and they advised to first wait on Coricraft's respond before lodging a formal complaint with them. Please advise.

Coricraft table base replacement worse than original

Spent a fortune on a dining room suite, only to see the wood table base start developing mould. Requested replacement which arrived two months later only to find that the replacement base is in a worse and even more damaged condition than the original. Sent to Garth at Coricraft today: "Garth your guys have delivered a replacement table base that's more damaged than the previous one. See images attached. This was noted on the delivery note and the delivery guys signed. Please arrange replacement ASAP or collect the glass and base and refund us so we can go buy a quality product elsewhere. "
