Costco.com Mixed Feelings About Costco Warehouse Hearing Department

As an expert in the category of hearing departments, I have analyzed various reviews about Costco Warehouse's Hearing Department. While some customers praise the department for its attentive service and quality products, others express concerns about issues like long wait times and inconsistent experiences. It seems that the department's performance may vary based on individual interactions. If you're considering visiting Costco's Hearing Department, it's advisable to approach with an open mind and be prepared for a mixed experience.

Costco.com Costco has Gift Baskets to Ship!

For years, I had used a well-known fruit and baked goods company for shipping holiday baskets to friends and family. However, the past two years have seen a tremendous drop in quality and service. I was talking with a colleague about this and she mentioned to me that Costco Online has gift baskets and other goodies that can be shipped for holiday, birthday, etc... gifts.
I was so pleasantly surprised when I logged into my account and found a treasure trove of items that can be sent via Costco service with guaranteed delivery! I decided to try the service and sent two different gift baskets to two friends as Christmas gifts.
They both called and told me what a wonderful gift they received. The baskets were beautifully arranged and chock-full of baked goods, cheeses, and fruits. I was notified, by email, the next day when the order had been processed and then notified as soon as there was a tracking number available. Both baskets arrived (Texas and California) on-time and in great condition.
Needless to say, next year will be spent ordering gifts from Costco Online!
As an aside, the store where I live is always meticulously clean, organized and the displays are beautifully arranged. The staff is outstanding and helpful. I had been a BJ's member for years, but decided to move over to Costco because there is a larger variety of items, and the prices are comparable.

Costco.com Good Deals

Costco's is well-known for offering the lowest prices. CEO Jim Sinegal says "We don't want to be one of the casualties. We don't want to turn around and say, 'We got so fancy we've raised our prices" Costco uses effective strategies throughout the organization to keep prices low. For example, have you ever seen a Costco ad on tv? The answer is no. Costco saves 2% annually by not advertising, instead redirects its revenue towards saving you money at the register. Also, much of the revenue goes towards paying its employees a fair wage. Costco's CEO says "You don't have a very motivated working-class; it starts to affect the dynamics of the economy. If workers are disenchanted and disenfranchised, productivity losses will go along with that" (James Sinegal). You might think that higher wages would cost the company money. Instead, Costco benefits from treating its workforce fairly resulting in loyal, happy, long-term employees, which in turn leads to saving the company money and if Costco saves, you save. CEO Craig Jelinek once told his successor Jim Sinegal "If you raise the price of the effing hot dog, I will kill you. Figure it out." An example of how passionate Costco's employees are about keeping its prices low. Even a food court employee named Josh Smithon stated on Quora that Costco loses money in its food court (2017). The low-cost food court items like the hotdog are put in place to keep you happy. You can always expect to find low prices while shopping at Costco and you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you're supporting a company that takes care of its employees.

Costco.com $60 for annual membership here in Australia

Costco has finally made it to Australia. We have, I think, around 10 stores thru-out the country.

I'm not a member. So I can't buy food or petrol there. I refuse to pay $60 for the privilege of walking into a Costco to buy groceries, when I can walk into stores such as Aldi, Coles & Woolworths for free. My neighbour is a member & he brings me home a pack of Costco's scrumptious blueberry muffins each time he takes a trip there. 12 muffins in the pack for $10. I've never seen such large muffins in my entire life! They are soooooo yummy!

I've been into a Costco store to have a look around on a few occasions. Seriously massive, & lots of walking to be done. I sure get my exercise there hahaha. Never seen such large trolleys anywhere!

Great grocery store for families/singles who are wanting to save money by buying in bulk. Their petrol outlets are great as well, with prices per litre much cheaper than other big name servos. I hope we get more Costos here in OZ in the near future. They seem to be very popular with aussies.

I'm giving Costco 5 stars with this review. Purely & simply because the store helps people to save a ton of money on their weekly food/petrol bills. I'm not happy that aussies have to fork out $60 for the annual fee, especially considering we don't have the variety of products in our Costco stores that you guys have in the USA. So, not really fair, if you ask me. But it is as it is. We have to put up with the fee, or shut up. So, the majority of us put up with it & pay. But not me.

I'd like a Costco CEO to explain to me why we have to pay a higher annual fee than Americans? It's not right.

I have ordered two items from this website: (1) a Deluxe Tub and Transfer Bench, when I was released from a skilled nursing facility--following a short rehabilitation, with PT and OT (physical therapy and occupational therapy)--due to a serious foot injury and (2) a 42" Philips 1080p LCD [flat screen] HDTV, during my continuing a Physical Therapy rehabilitation at home with a wheelchair, crutches and a walker. Until I could walk again, I enjoyed many Major League Baseball games on a new HDTV. Both times I received FREE SHIPPING--even on the heavy HDTV--and an ONLINE $200 REBATE on the HDTV. Emails confirmed both internet orders and both shipping dates with a UPS tracking number. Everything worked without any hitches, and I was quite pleased with the merchandise and the customer service.

Otherwise, I have been a regular customer at my local Costco warehouse, where I quickly upgraded to an Executive Member during my wife's and my first year as a Costco family. Our annual rebates from both Costco and American Express paid for the membership fee, plus more, each year. We noticed quickly that cashiers remained the same from month to month; Costco treated them well, so a reduced staff turnover meant consistent customer service. From Michelin tires to currently bestselling books to fresh fruits or vegetables, we've never been disappointed. If a clothing item proved to be sized incorrectly or a special sale item failed to satisfy, then the Return Desk always credited my American Express Costco credit card--without any questions or hassles. We have never been dissatisfied with Costco!

I forgot to mention gasoline sales with a staff member available; licensed opticians for prescription eyeglasses; the full pharmacy; and the fresh, locally-baked breads, cakes and other pastries. (Everything you need and want can be found at Costco.)

Costco.com Good value so far

We signed up to be a Costco member in 2015. I still remember the first time we shopped there. We were overwhelmed by the bag size of the Kirkland Italian meatballs and couldn't leave the store with it and had to return it right away. LoL. Fast forward, we couldn't love all these big bags of frozen blessings aka organic fruits vegetables. No longer scared of the size of the bags. Love the varieties of organic foods esp. Dried fruits, peanut butter, honey, and more! High quality food items we could count on. The return policy makes us feel more brave to try new things. More often we fall in love with what we try and cannot live without, which is a big problem because Costco one day may decide to rotate them out or stop carrying them. We never understand their rhythm of what will be rotated out or discontinued.

Bought an LG washer/dryer tower. Was satisfied with the delivery, installation, and haul away.

Bought an iPhone and switched to Verizon with Costco with a good deal, but not the best because since Nov Verizon's promo is much better. I did ask the sales person at Costco whether the deal would get better during Black Friday and holidays, and he said no.

Not great selections for toddlers and kids shoes, socks, clothes, or underwear. Sam's is way better in this category, but overall value Sam's is 1 star comparing to Costco

We don't like rotisserie chicken, pecan pies, fruit cakes, cookies, bagels, nor muffins. Some of these have die hard fans, but we can't understand why as we have tried them and found them to be pretty bad. Like rotisserie chicken was a mush. No integrity when we bit into the chicken meat, and so it was super weird like eating minced up meat. We love chocolate mousse tuxedo cake and cheesecake. We love that sometimes they source from locals, e.g. when we lived in Midwest we got to eat apple cider donuts from Chicago. Now we live in NorCal we get to eat cookies and cakes from San Francisco. Yum.

Tried the car dealership thingy. Not worth it. No value added. Bought a car with no deal just MSRP.

Tried travel once. The hotel part was a good deal, but the flights were horrible. Took us a day to fly from Midwest to Vegas.

We are not a fan of the line walking out of the warehouse. We've never liked the feeling of being a suspect of shoplifting.

Costco.com How do you not love Costco?

I don't understand how anyone could not love this store. I live in Tempe, AZ at the moment, but no matter what city I'm in I make sure they have a Coscto nearby, like that is literally a requirement on my checklist. I will pick Costco over Whole Foods, Sam's, Safeway. Albertson's, Target, etc, any day of the week, that's how much I love it. Not only is their selection superb, but their customer service is on point. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, strictly gourmet, or you just like good food at good prices in bulk, this place offers one of the best selections you could ask for. I think a lot of people are indoctrinated with this understanding that Walmart has a great selection and we should tolerate their 2-lanes open with 500 customer's deal because, well, they're WALMART, but man that simply isn't the case. If you're not used to shopping warehouse bulk, then trust me you're missing out. Do not let the value in paying $20 for a 30 pack of something that runs $9.99 for a single pack at regular grocery stores run over your head. If you want deals on shopping, I always recommend buying snacks, some fruits, meats, pastas, breads, gourmet foods, skin care, etc from Coscto; the bulk of your produce from a farmers market, and select bulk meat packets from a butcher. In between, I'll hit up Albertson's for their 10 for $10, Fry's or Safeway (Safeway has discount Friday's) and supplement with well-priced in between type foods which usually completes my routine. If you get hip and play your cards right, this formula can save you hundreds of dollars a year and offer convenience you can't go without. Not to mention Costco has a great monthly coupon book and girl, let me tell you when they have coconut water on sale I AM THERE. I WILL LIVE THERE.

Costco is one of the few store chains out here that is family owned, customer oriented and health conscious all at once. I've been going for years and never had a problem with their customer service and always get exactly what I need. Their stock is always on point, and they offer a very deliciously unique selection for the foodie, wine-o, and family person in all of us. To the few and far between that have had a negative experience, my suggestion to you is just let that [censored] go and keep supporting them where you can because Costco quality is rarity these days.

Costco.com You MUST read this very positive review of Costco!

I recently purchased a VERY large, VERY heavy and VERY expensive 85" 8K TV from Costco. I did so because I trust them, having done a lot of business there over the years and having always had great experiences (obviously unlike a lot of these negative reviews). They also have the BEST warrantees on TVs and always stand behind their products, unlike most other electronics stores.

The TV arrived, via Costco Logistics, and was hung by their outsourced service company HANDY (for which I contracted with Costco when I ordered). The TV was DOA - something had severely damaged the display, but the damage was not visible on the packing carton. I contacted Costco Customer Service and they immediately agreed to exchange it. There were some problems involved with coordination between their Logistics and Handy initially but I contacted their "Escalation Team" for this expensive toy and was blown away by their incredible response and service! I am a Doc and demand competence, just as a point of reference. The Costco team contacted HANDY directly and they coordinated both the delivery of the new set, the removal of the old one and the re-installation of the new one. I was kept in the loop during the entire process and both parties constantly contacted me to make sure that I was on track. When the new set was delivered today (within one week of the initial issue) by Costco Logistics, it was accompanied by two men on the escalation team who had already inspected the set before it left the warehouse and constantly during shipping. The defective set was removed, the new one delivered and then plugged it in to verify that it worked perfectly. Lo and behold, it did, and I'm off to Netflix and popcorn/iced tea on this burner of a day with the most amazing TV I have ever seen. I CANNOT PRAISE COSTCO AND HANDY HIGHLY ENOUGH! If the world ran like the experience, there would be no war, no famine and no insurrection. COSTCO AND HANDY ARE THE BEST.

If you order something like this, be sure that Costco Logistics is on top of things. They're not always focused and coordinated (since deliveries depend upon many steps and often cannot be controlled precisely. BE PATIENT and understanding, especially now when the whole supply chain is messed up. It WILL get better. THIS experience was, in fact, even better than their rotisserie chicken, and I am demanding!

Costco.com Worst supervisor ever

Good morning, I hope you can take a moment to let me explain how poorly my wife and I were treated recently by a rep at Costco travel. I realize that this might not be the correct avenue, but I simply could not find any contact info for Costco travel without calling, which has already proved a huge fail.

We just returned from a cruise on Celebrity which we booked through Costco travel along with three other couples. Costco travel has always been a great way for us to book our trips. When we signed up for this cruise, we were all offered what was called I believe an Elevate program where we were supposed to receive the upgraded drink package along with extra on board spending. The other couples on our trip received this, but for whatever reason when we boarded we found out we did not. It would not have been such a huge deal except for the way I was treated by the reservation specialist, Christine, who was probably to worst, nastiest, and most unhelpful person I have ever dealt with.

I called the service number from aboard ship. A young lady, Tina, tried all she could to help us but was not able to. After an exhausting hour she said she would transfer me to her supervisor. When Christine got on the line, she did not say Hello this is Christine, how can I help you. She simply said hello in a miserable voice. I had to explain to her the entire situation again, and her response was that they could not pull up the phone call we booked on since we booked over a year ago and they could not go back that long so she did not know what was said. She admitted that our friends got the upgrades, and we did not. I asked her if she thought that perhaps I TOLD THE BOOKING AGENT THAT WE DO NOT WANT THE FREE UPGRADES, and believe it or not her response was IT'S POSSIBLE. At that point I knew that we would get nowhere. I asked for her ID info so when I got back I could mention her in my complaint and she flat out refused to give out her contact info.

We enjoyed our cruise, but there was a bit of a negative aspect with the way this lady dealt with us. I am hoping that there is a tape of this call for all to listen to on how to not treat a pretty good customer. thank you for listening.

Recommendation: It is sad that Costco is so great in many areas, and have one individual who works there act like this

Costco.com Buyer Beware Costco Online furniture

I have been a Costco member for the past 20 years and spend around [protected] $$ per year in Costco stores. In addition for the past 5 years I have been spending on vacation packages through Costco Travel anywhere from 3000-*** $$ per vacation. Was very happy with Costco till I touched Costco Online furniture this January 2019.

We saw a nice looking book shelf in Costco for $ 400. But Costco store said they won't deliver it home. So, I bought the 2 book shelves from Costco online and paid extra $ 150 per book shelf for home delivery. Costco online website clearly said they will deliver it inside the house and not in the garage or block any front entrance or inside doorways. Each book shelf weighed about 300 pounds and the box measured about 4x6.5x2 feet deep. So, I paid extra $ 300 thinking it would be delivered inside my house and placed the order with Costco Online.

Surprise, surprise, 3 weeks later a truck shows up in my driveway with one driver/mover. The guy says I am going to put in your garage. I told him I paid extra $ 300 for inside home delivery but the guy would have none of it and flat out said and I quote " I don't work for Costco". You paid Costco, I deliver in your garage. After much arguing, finally the driver agreed to move it to my study which was immediately after my garage provided I help him to move. My first instinct was to turn him back and say F-off. But, I had waited for the shelves for 3 weeks and took time off from work to receive them. So, I reluctantly agreed to help him unload and then put it on a buggy and move it inside my house.

While helping to stand up the shelf in my study, I was lifting the box only with my left hand as I was in a corner and in the process tore my left arm bicep. I knew right away once I heard a snapping noise and the pain shot through my left arm. I yelled and told the mover I had injured my left arm and ran to my refrigerator to ice it hoping it was just a sprain. By then 1 book shelf was in place and now the mover calls me out to move the 2nd book shelf. I told him my left arm was already injured and the chap goes " well use your right Arm". So again I reluctantly stepped out helped him load the 2nd shelf on the buggy and moved it to our study barely helping with my right hand. We got the 2nd shelf in place finally.
By then it was close to 6 PM and decided to head to ER to see how bad was my injury on my left arm. Reston, VA ER X-ray showed no broken bones. But the ER doc looked at my left arm and the internal bleeding and swelling and said it maybe a bicep tear and asked me get it checked with a Orthopedic doctor. 4 days later Orthopedic and MRI confirmed it was a left arm bicep tear due to furniture move incident. I had to go through surgery, take 2 week off work and 4 months of physio therapy and still has not healed.
I narrated the whole incident to Costco customer service or legal and they recorded my statement and conveniently said we did not deliver the furniture. Issue happened during CEVA logistics delivery company's work. So they convinced me to file a claim with this cheesy delivery company 'CEVA logistics" and told me they would follow up.

Basically, Costco washed their hands-off at that point even though I bought the furniture from website and nowhere did they say there will be a delivery company and we are not responsible. Moreover, Costco website will promise delivery inside the house but delivery company came and said nothing doing we deliver outside, deal with it!. Costco basically sells the furniture with all kinds of promises charges extra for home delivery and quietly retreats from the scene.

I narrated the whole incident again to this delivery company, they recorded my statement and promised an investigation. After 6 months, got back me to with a investigation result that stated
1. They were not negligent, they were not supposed to move the furniture inside the house,
2. I volunteered to help the mover and got injured in the process!.,
3. Also implied I already had an earlier injury that I was reporting. Even though I had told them I had no previous arm injuries.
4. And much cheesy investigation results that are not worth reporting here.

Costco was copied on this investigation response from the delivery company but does not want to get involved and do the right thing.

It has been 6 months since left arm bicep tear happened during Costco furniture delivery, I went through left arm surgery, physio therapy and my left arm has still not recovered fully. Now it turns out, this will have long term implications on my left arm strength. I am talking to lawyers, doctors to understand what this means and looks like a long drawn out legal fight. So be it.

Buyer beware, just because you are buying from Costco does not mean they will take responsibility. Costco will wash their hands off and abandon you at the earliest opportunity whether you are right or completely truthful simply does not matter.

Regards
Pradeep Somayaji
Old Costco member.

Costco.com Costco store

To whom it may concern
My Name is Samy Mohamed
Email ***@aol.com
Cell ***291

On 6/7/2018 I bought a TCL TV 65 inch from Costco in Brick TWP NJ, when I bought the TV I was told that I have 2 year warranty, and another extra 2 year warranty because I used My Costco (Citi bank) Visa, it was confirmed when I called Costco customer service ***450 and Citibank ***670.
Just FYI, if you buy anything from Costco, and used the Costco Citi Visa, automatically an extra 2 year warranty will be added, and will kick in once the manufacture warranty expired.

On 10/1/20 the TV have gone bad, I have sometimes voice but the screen was completely black, so I unpledged the TV to restart several times, but no success. I had to take it to the Costco store in Brick TWP (located in Rt 70). When I stepped in and went directly to the front desk I had a lady with big attitude refusing the return or even showing any help.
I really don't know why she was with that attitudes? The nature of her job is dealing with public and troubles... she felt that I wasn't happy with her at all, then she gave me the Costco customer service phone number to call. The lady refused to answer any question I had, and I had to take the TV back to my car (it is 65 inch TV) and stepped out with millions question on my head, why this lady was giving me that face plus the attitude> meanwhile she was smiling to everybody else? Is it my name caused the problem? Not the TV?.
I called the concierge customer service, I spoke to the agent and she get my info, and also created a case number # ***, then she asked me to go back to the store with the TV and the case # to return it.
I went back to the store and avoided to talk to the lady in the front desk again, so I don't have to deal with her attitude or the discriminatory look, and I asked to see the manger.
Joey the manager of the store came (his phone ***300), and I informed him that what I have done with the customer service, also I gave the case number for the retune so he can process and take or return the TV as I was told by the customer service.
Joey said that he checked the computer and the case number hasn't been posted yet, then advised me to call him the next day or so to check. I was calling him almost daily several time, and I was given the running around without any update or resolving the issue., for several days with lots of frustrations, I got no help from no one for a simple issue.
Then I decided to call conceiver customer service again and talk to a manger.

On 10/8/20, I called the Costco customer service and talked to a manager who said that I was giving the wrong advice by everyone, and I should have called Citibank (Costco Visa) from the day one cause it is been more than 2 years since I bought the TV, I was shocked when I heard it, everyone I talked to was informed and knew the purchase date, the manger at Costco, the Costco customer service, and even the front desk lady who was able to print the actual bill (attached) from her own front desk computer, I felt like a fool who was kicked by everyone in this story.
Does the manager at Costco know the rules? Do the customer service representative enjoyed giving me hard time?
Meanwhile I called the Citibank, I spoke to a representative who confirmed that I'm covered with them, she gave a case # ***, she asked me email her the purchase receipt and I did, but she mentioned that I have to go through the processing so I can my issue resolved, she said I have to get on my own an estimate or repairs and I have to pay for it in order to have my case considered.
She did say that I have to pay for estimate from own pocket ( I checked around and it is $150, meanwhile the price of the TV is $599 plus Tax), then the bank will pay for the repairs only.
What kind of service is it or what kind of warranty is it? And why I have to pay $150 to get my TV fixed or repaired?

On 10/13/2020, I got a call from the Joey the Manager at Costco store in Brick, Joey confirmed mentioned that he is sorry the way I got treated, he also insured that he will be talking to his supervisor, and will do his best to resolve the issue, and return the TV, then I'll get not a single call from him or the supervisor as I was told, or anything yet.

On 10/15/2020, I got a call from call from Tony who is with Citibank Costco Visa (see below), he was a good listener, and promised that he will help to finalize the issue, but unfortunately with process totally different than I was told for the last 2 weeks, I said okay and let's see, I can't really believe that every time I speak to someone I got different answer for the same issue and the way to resolve it.

You will need to reach out directly to the benefits team to get compensation for your television. Please call them at 1-***670, as I have no access to any warranty or benefit claims as they are handled outside of Citi.

On 10/21/2020 I had to take the TV to repairs TV shop, and the technician said that TV can't be fixed, backlight can't be found. I requested a full refund of the TV plus the square one warranty which I bought from Costco and never been used due to the coverage of Citi Card when I bought the TV, and the amount is roughly $ 49 with the coast of the TV $ 639.74 the total = $688.74

A ll I want fix, repair, replace, or return the TV without any coast out of my pocket as long as I have the warranty! I'm willing to bring the TV to any place so they can fix it for me.
All the information above wasn't disclosed to me when I bought the TV, I never thought in a million year that Costco wouldn't stand behind any products they sell, or refuse a return of an item they sell, so I'm asking The bank or Costco to do one of the following to unhappy customer, Please Fix or repairs the TV without any coast for me, return my money without costing me extra money such paying for a repair estimate, replace the TV or giving me a credit.
I'm a person who is seeking faire treatment and resolving an issue and not profiting from it.
I know may be someone thinks that $599 plus tax isn't a big of a deal... NO it is for me, I'm not rich guy, Thanks.
Best regards

Costco.com hp computer

I am normally Costco's biggest supporter and tell everyone I know how much I enjoy doing my shopping for multiple items at this store.
However, recently we have been lied to about an order we made online for a computer and we have also been hung up on when we asked to speak to a manager or supervisor. We purchased a computer from Costco.com because our store did not carry a the computer we wanted with an Core i7 processor. Everything was as expected and we received an email a few days later stating our package had been shipped and we would receive the computer on September 21st, this included a tracking # for Fed Ex. While on the Fed Ex tracking website we were shown that this item would be delivered by the end of the day on the 21st. Since this is a big ticket item we decided to put off going out of town for a day so that our new computer would not be sitting on our porch for an extended amount of time. Also, since my wife has gone back to school she really needed to do some homework over the weekend. While waiting for the package on the 21st I decided to call Fed Ex and see if we could pin point a delivery time. At this time I was told that they haven't even received a package to be sent yet. After calling Costco.com customer service I was told that all the email I received meant is that HP computer company had put our computer on a boat to be shipped and that it could still be while until we received our computer. After asking why I was even sent an email with a tracking # that stated delivery today (crazy I would expect it today) I was told that this is just the way their system works. After voicing my frustration about the bogus tracking system they have set up I asked to speak to a manager. At that point I was hung up on. Now I'm here, and after this I will be headed to the brick and mortar store and we'll see how I'm told that there is nothing they can and I'm sure they will give me some phone number to call.
-Desirable resolution- I would like a supervisor to call me since I was hung up on when I asked to speak to one during my customer service experience. I would like to know what the manager thinks of the package tracking service they offer and see if they can explain how this would benefit the customer. If this is a glitch in their system do they plan on fixing it? Do they understand how this could be a huge problem for a customer expecting something on their front door step?

I wish I had read reviews for Costco Concierge before following their instructions for what I thought was a virus. Later conversations with Webroot determined that it was just a pop-up add sounding very ominous and it could have been deleted simply by Control/alt/delete and exiting the browser. Instead they had me do a system restore which failed and by the 4th contact with them my operating system was so corrupted that they said I would have to send it to HP. Since I was within 90 days, I returned it to Costco and replaced it. So I'm not out money, just a huge hassle and no trust at all in the tech support. I can't begin to tell you the ridiculous guesses made by Costco Concierge as well as HP support regarding the problem. If only I'd contacted Webroot (only reason I didn't was difficulty locating a phone number so I went with the convenience of Costco Concierge-nice but not at all tech savvy.)

Order went well. Received quick email confirmation and received a text re delivery. We scheduled workers to begin project according to delivery date of Friday, April 20. We received a call on April 20 that the delivery truck broke down. Delivery rescheduled for April 21. We rescheduled our workers for their next earliest date, April 28. Upon unpacking, damaged floor panel was found. Shed could not be started. Workers rescheduled for May 5. Replacement floor panel arrives. It is the wrong size. Company called again. They recommend purchasing the floor panel locally and submitting receipt for reimbursement. Worker (at our cost) runs this errand. Workers also provided lumber to replace very poor quality lumber sent in shed package. Workers provided nails as the package did not include the needed 3" nails although the content list said they were included. So, two big delays, several extra expenses regarding local replacement of floor panel, workers extra charge for board and nail replacement, trip to landfill to dispose of damaged parts and incorrect floor replacement panel. It has been a very stressful month! Today, Mothers Day, is being taken over by shed construction. Our biggest concern is that we trusted this product because we trust Costco. We have been Costco members for years. We have never had any problem with or complaints about any merchandise bought through or at our local Costco store. However, this situation is out of hand. It has caused us great inconvenience. We feel we made a big and costly mistake purchasing this shed through Costco but the exact reason we did so is because we trusted Costco to provide good products for a good price. We are unhappy and feel taken advantage of. We hope to receive a response from you soon.

Costco.com online order got cancelled

I ordered a laptop for my son to take to college. Ordered it on a Thursday, was supposed to ship on Monday. Got an email Monday saying the order had been cancelled! Why did it take so long for us to get that notification?
I called in and it took 58 MINUTES to talk to someone only to have them tell me, "sorry we can't do anything about the card, the bank is in charge of that. Sorry we can't do anything about the computer, it comes direct from the manufacturer." In the meantime, my son will go to college without a computer to use for his engineering program.
This is from a company that we PAY to shop at! What happened to the customer service?
This is making me rethink having a Costco membership at all!

Purched a 10lb bag of the wings. No where on the bag did it say they come with feathers still attached. Im so highly disappointed and disgusted. Fry some wings up only to see feathers floating around and still attached to wings. If that was the case then please let customers know plucking instruction. This is outrages! Please let me know what the issue was with these! Thanks

Costco.com one of the worst customer experience I had in my life time

One of the worst customer experience I had in my life time. I ordered a Cash Card from them online which took months to reach me after multiple resends and follow ups. When it finally reached me, I was told that the card is inactivated and my money is refunded to my account. The customer support team didn't not know about it and I almost spent 2 months with multiple calls, mails which made me loose my cool, mental peace etc for nothing as eventually speaking, its as good as Costco refused to give me a cash card! The reason I say this is that they tried to send it multiple times but always at incomplete address and finally when they managed to send one, the card was a closed card and whatever I paid was refunded almost before the card even reached me!

Costco.com shoddy merchandise

In October 2009, I ordered a recliner and ottoman from Costco.com for my father. It arrived November 5 as scheduled, but the chair did not recline and neither it nor the ottoman had legs. I called the furniture company from which it had been shipped to see if I could at least get the legs, and they told me an unnamed person would call me back the next day, but of course never did. After that, their line was busy. Then I called Costco.com. They had no solution to the problem at all: the product was no longer available so I'd have to take a refund at that was it. Furthermore, my refund would come only after having to wait 12-15 business days (until mid-December) to have someone come pick up the chair. After one month and $400 with nothing to show for it, I am contemplating taking the whole thing to the nearest store and demanding my refund immediately.
I will never shop with Costco.com again.

Costco.com missing mattress

I bought a bed and all the accessories from costco.con The accessories arrived with no problems. About 2 weeks later I receive a call from "Home Direct" saying that my mattress will be delivered tomorrow and that they will call me back later in the day to give me a 4 hour delivery window. I received no call that day, or the next day, or the next day. I called this "Home Direct" and got an answering machine. I left a message but no one ever returned my calls. The cost of the mattress was $1500! I contemplated calling the police and reporting it as stolen.

I am still waiting for my mattress! I will try to get a refund and if that doesn't work, a lawyer(there goes 40%). I do not recommend buying a mattress from costco.com! Mattress accessories, yes. Mattress, no.

Costco.com missing lcd tv worth $1, 600.00

Costco does not arrange signed deliveries for their shipping courier. Nor do they at least have the courier leave a notice for facility pick-up irregardless of the amount of the merchandise you are buying. On their tracking it said "Delivered: Left at side door" by UPS. First off, we do not have a side door - we have a gate. Second, no UPS person rang the bell (we have 24-hour surveillance cams) on the day they said it was delivered.

Make sure before you order that you know your ship to address will have somebody waiting for UPS (or any other Costco.com courier) during their delivery hours - which has an 8 hour time frame. Or have a hole large enough to fit the item through. Otherwise, it will be customer service hell worse than AOL or Dell.

Online orders of high value should have signed acceptance arrangements, otherwise any courier can just take the item home if there isn't any sign of anybody at home - afterall, he did say he delivered it. We can't blame it on UPS or FedEx, as everyone knows they have a stellar reputation for getting things lost, if not mangled beyond recognition. If you do want to risk online shopping, better order from a store that facilitates reasonable returns, refund or replacement.

The average customer service wait time for Costco.com is 12 minutes. The ordeal becomes harder when you get transferred, worse when it has something to do with a courier mishap - because it IS easier to point the finger than to resolve issues. I am surprised, but eBay resellers - even those with really repugnant track records - offer better customer service. Well, of course there will be plenty of cursing but then again at least you know somebody is working on fixing the problem. At Costco.com, nobody is... even if they make you think they are helping you.

I agree. I ordered a new mattress for my inlaws and the bed was delivered to the wrong address. They didn't have a way to track it and they did end up sending another one.

I will say it's probably more on Serta's end than Costco's but still Costco should make sure the manufacturer provides a tracking number.

Costco.com problem with the rebate submission

Re: Costco.com

I am writing to express my sincere disgust with how your company chooses to treat customers. Not that I feel its important to explain the situation again, however it will aid in your understanding. I purchased an item via Costco.com in November of 2006. After I received the item via UPS, I submitted the online rebate form. After several weeks of waiting, I received a denial notice stating the member number was incorrect. For the record, the member number was not incorrect, it is clearly printed on the back of my card. I resubmitted the rebate making sure all information was accurate. I waited an additional several weeks. I received another denial. I then called the rebate center and they informed me that I could only submit the rebate one time via internet and that I would have to mail the information to the rebate center in order to get the rebate. I did exactly that. Now several weeks later, I received another denial notice in the mail stating that the sku was incorrect. I am quite fed up with the constant jumping through hoops and wasting my time for a rebate. It has become obvious to me that your company would much rather play games and disrespect your customers by treating them as though if they were ignorant. Maybe if you waste enough of my time I will give up and your company gets to keep the $50.00 that rightfully belongs to me. I am here to say by all means keep the rebate. The way I see it, when I cancel my executive membership I will save $100.00 per year anyway. Also when I cancel my American Express costco card, I will save even more. Lets not forget how much I will save from not shopping at costco. If you look up my account, you will see that I spent almost $20,000 last year alone. But I can see that even the most dedicated of customers still get treated like garbage. I find it appalling that this is acceptable business practices. I will gladly take my business elsewhere, knowing that there are far better companies that will treat their customers with dignity and respect, and actually honor the rebates they offer. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me as I would most enjoy talking to a live person versus a company that hides behind denial letters.

I have the same issue with the same offer. Costco is tarnishing their name by associating with Direct TV. Direct TV denied my rebate stating "The Costco Receipt does not have a legible purchase date" You would think that they would now where to look on a Costco receipt. When I tried to reach Direct TV, I got the run around and they would take my information and escalate it.

First of all, Costco has gone out of their way to make the rebate process as simple and convenient to use than any other retailer. If you shop at Costco, first of all you will notice that most rebates on items are INSTANT rebates. The rebate is taken off at the register. On the rare occasion you have a mail-in rebate, they have a streamlined system where you can check the status of your rebate. It's unfortunate this person had an unfavorable experience, but I would bet that this is a VERY small percentage of experiences. As for him canceling his Executive Membership, he is only spiting himself by giving up his $400 Executive Reward rebate he gets (based on his $20000 sales) and his Amex rebate which more that cover his membership fee. Costco is one company that will go out of its way to take care of the customer, no question! Unfortunately you are reading this on a "complaints" web site, however, I guarantee you that if you stack up the satisfied and happy customers against the complaints, the complaints will seen non-existant. GO COSTCO!

Costco.com refund problem

Be wary of ordering anything from Costco.com. I ordered a Executive Gold Star Membership for $100 US. After waiting two months for the membership items via mail, I cancelled my order and requested a refund. Here is the response I received:

Dear Costco Member,

Thank you for e-mailing costco.com. Your credit card will be credited $104.16 within 10 -15 business days. An e-mail will be sent to you when the order has shipped.

Sincerely,

Ellen B.

[protected]@costco.com

I went on with life and basically forgot about this order, feeling satisfied that it was taken care of. Around ten months later, I receive a letter from Costco requesting that I renew my executive membership. After checking my account that was used to purchase the membership, I realized that a refund was never made to me. Since then, I have been trying to get some kind of response from their customer service, but they are choosing to ignore me.

Folks, this company has some kind of problem. I do not mean the corporation or the stores around the country, but the online operation. It appears to be a shabby, poorly run operation. Stay away!

Costco.com has deplorable customer service! I have been trying over a month to get a refund for an item that I never received (due to damage of the item, so the delivery people wouldn't bring it in my house). I have emailed, left messages (escalation department) and still no response! The return department through the normal channels said I would receive a refund back to my card; however to no avail. To call the return department is another nightmare, having to wait over an hour for a call back and then they are rude.
How can the excellent managed stores be so different than the online department?

Sincerely,

Denise Alexander
