When you think the account is closed they continue charging fees and interest. They do not notify you until it is sold to collections. The only balance is fees and interest on a zero (or near zero) balance. So, I get that but they close off access and lead you to believe that the account is closed. They will NOT notify you and when you try to call... "All lines are busy" all the the time. Online? nope you can't reset your password because "The account is closed" My balance was zero. Credit One should be shut down! It appears they are misleading consumers by closing access or making access very difficult to maintain your account. Also, you can't pay online (auto) with our a fee to pay. we results in a balance!?! Weird. This may not be illegal per se but it is misleading as best. Very Bad Company! Now, this little balance is in collections which means I loose if I pay the balance, or if I don't. They may be just trying to get revenue be intentionally selling to collections at a discount.
credit one bank credit card
My husband lost his card so i was unable to pay the 25.65 annual fee. So I sent in a check. I received a call about 2 days later from "customer service " telling me that I have an unpaid charge on this account and I needed to make a payment right then so my account would be current . I explained that I had just mailed a check so I was not gonna make an extra payment. He then said it needed to speak to the supervisor he got on the phone and told me that he needed my debit card number or my bank routing information. I told him I just mailed the check so he can wait to get the check. He continued to question me asking why didn't I pay the bill online . I explained that my husband lost his card so I didn't have the card number so I just sent the check. It seemed kind of odd the pressure he was putting me under to give my bank account number. Especially for 25 bucks. He told me to make the payment to him and then I could cancel the check I sent. I said no my bank charges me 30bucks to cancel a check. This was on Friday a week ago so this past Friday he called again and said that they have not received my check yet and told me that there would be an additional 29.00 late charge applied to my balance . I refuse to pay the late charge. I have no problem paying any of my bills but when you have two strangers that I can barely understand demanding my bank info. That is where I draw the line. I will make sure that everyone I know never has to use your company. I have tried to get a hold of customer service myself and all I get is the automated system.
representatives, late fees etc
This is by far the worst credit card company ever. I wil never refer them to anyone. The representative was rude to me because i said i wanted to close my account out then i can never submit my payment online then when i do it over the phone they want to try and charge a extra 10 bucks for a 25 dollar payment. No thank you. My account is closed and i will never have it again. Worst company ever!
unauthorized credit card charges
Contacted Credit One Bank customer service in reference to fraudulent charges made on my credit card ending in 5387, on March 23, 2017, and March 24, 2017, in the amount of $707.70. Spoke customer service rep and requested an investigation on unauthorized charges to my account. Also spoke with same rep regarding an unauthorized ACH debit from my bank account in the amount of $732.52 on March 28, 2017, at 6.01am according to my bank. I have statements from Credit One Bank that shows a Previous balance of $19.11 and payment of $18.96. The same statement also shows unauthorized transactions described as Cardcookie10 on my card which I have disputed. Credit One Bank closed the account ending in 5387 and has since issued a new account ending in 6667. However, Credit One Bank has placed charges of the $732.52 that was returned from my bank at my request and have added an additional account transfer fee of $367.35 making a balance owed of 1099.87. I have also received a letter from Credit One Bank stating that the account ending in 5387 was identified as suspicious due to recent activity. On March 31, 2017, a letter was sent to me stating that they received a return payment in the amount of $732.52 and that they have closed my account ending in 6667 and that I am responsible for the balance of $1099.87
credit card
They have $75 annual fee, and they hide. The 75 was charged to my card but was not showing in the statement under normal view, I could only know that when I noticed my balance was more than it should be and called customer service, then they told me about the fee and how to view it online.
When I got the pre-approval letter, there was no visible mention of $75 annual fee charged when you sign for their card. I called them and requested them to send a copy of pre-approval letter, and waive the charges which I didn't know when applying, they agreed to waive only $25 out of $75. Still, a thug company, trying to steal people's money without informing them clearly. I want to close the account and get all of my $75, charged secretary, refunded to me.
credit card
I keep being charged monthly when I have not used the card. I would like to cancel the card but cannot reach a human being to do so. Automated telephone menus do not offer the cancel option and the website does not offer it either. In fact, is is nigh on to impossible to contact a human being to do anything. Now I am adding text so that I will get an official review. The problem was succinctly stated above.
harassing phone calls!!
Hi.. I received a $300 credit card in the mail. I was happy to be able to receive it, but i am sick of the harrassing phone calls 10 times a day every single day! My bill is not due til the 5th of every month and you all keep calling and calling and calling. I am fixing to change my number. And you also told me my bill was going to be $25.00 a month. Now you send me a bill for $75. I am on social security and i cannot afford no more than $25.00 a month and this is all you are getting. From all of the complaints i have read.. You guys do not have many positive reviews. Stop harrassing me with phone calls! My bill is not due yet! This number that keeps calling is [protected]! They are blocked!
I don't mind paying the $75. But I don't like the PHONE CALLS I am getting and the bill is not even due. I am fixing to change my number because of their [censor].
This bank or who ever this instituiton is sent me a credit card in the mail for $300. The balance is NOT even due yet and these #### keep harrassing me at least 8 times a day every single day of phone calls. I blocked their number, but still see they are calling me many times a day and I am sick of it..If they keep it up, they won't get nothing from me. Please do some thing to STOP these people from calling me..The number that keeps calling is [protected]. I am fixing to change my phone number!
I received a credit card in the mail for $300. I called them up to see how much my bill would be a month. They tell me $25.00. I get a bill and the minimum payment is $75.00. You are only getting $25.00 a month from me. I ripped up the card and will never ever use this card again. I will pay it off, but it going to be $25.00 a month only. My main complaint is the stupid phone calls. This company starts at 8:30 a.m and calls at least 8 to 10 times a day every day including SUNDAYS. I am changing my phone number. If you keep calling me you are not getting a dime from me. Also my BILL is not DUE til April 5th. Why are you harrassing me? STOP! :(
This is regarding Credit One Bank. First, I've been with card company for a year now. I never had a problem with the terms until the start of the second year with COB. Knowing that there was an annual fee of $75.00, the first year, I had no problem paying it in full asap. Received a complimentary increase of $150 the following month. I paid my balance in full on the 5th every month for the first year. Received another complimentary increase of $250. So far no problems. Well knowing that $8.25 a month annual fee will commence for second year, I noticed COB deliberately times the fee on the closing statement date which means, interest charged. What bank charges annual fee on the closing date? Now instead of $8.25 monthly, it's $9.01 because of the interest. They won't change the date nor will they allow you to pay early. I will keep this card for one more year, then say GOODBYE. I don't need to be controlled.

horrible horrible
Make sure to read reviews I sure wish I did. I just applied for the Credit One Bank and said I was approved $400. I got my card on Dec 3, 2016. I used it one thank God for that and hopefully there is no more sneaking fees after this. I seen on my account that I was charged $75 annual fee, which was not mention in the application. Well I found about this on Dec 5, 2016, so I contact them. Then first guy told me that he can close it out without helping me. Then as I stress my situation he hang up on me, so I called back and another person said well it is on the application and by the way there is a $8.95 monthly fee. WHAT! I have Capital One great company. NO annual fee, NO monthly fee, great customer service. Oh an only been with them under a year and got 3 credit increase from 400 to 1150 now and my credit is not good. I so called was speaking to a person by the name of Derrick ref# 4190736, which sound nothing like a man, so I believe thats lies. Bottom line is horrible customer service, sneaking with saying that the annual and monthly fees were on the application which they were not. They said they will closed my account we will see. I will never ever do business with them again. They are lucky to even get 1 star from me.
not able to make a payment

I tried to find an email address to email them and all I get is that they do not have an email address for security reasons. this incident is going to end up with them charging me a late fee. I need them to repair this and refund me any late charges I end up with.

customer service/accounts payable
I called the company 16 total times to pay off, close account, get a refund of my 600.00 security and was hung up on 100% of the time. On 10/21/2016 i called the company from my phone 14 times, my boyfriends phone twice. Each time i was hung up on. The first 5 or so times i thought it was a problem with the connection. After, when i spoke with a man, explained i wanted to close the account, he pretended to transfer me to 3-4 so called managers even though it was the same man each time. He finally tranferred me to a woman named michelle who said she closed my account after asking me if it was ok to charge my bank the 52.20 remaining on my account. Then when i asked for a refund of my 600.00 security, she told me she could not hear me, the connection was bad and for me to call back, then hung up again. I spent two hours and 16 calls trying with these people. I am livid that a company is allowed to function and scam people in this country. Not only would they refuse to talk to me about the refund but the account still remains open. So they can continue to charge me interest i am sure. I have contacted the bbb to intervene. Horrific company
why not air your feedback good or bad with credit one direct?
Just curious, there's over a thousand complaints here on this bank and since the company has their own feedback board why all these complaints aren't posted there where they would be better viewed as a warning? Has anyone tried? Do they delete or modify their clients feedbacks and only keep select comments? Right now it says their customers have left an average of 4.7 out of 5 star feedback. I'd be interested to see if all these complaints here, if left on their review board would remain or not? Here's a link to where you can leave feedback and reviews if you desire... https://www.creditonebank.com/credit-cards . Try there and see what happens? I came here to the complaintsboard as I usually do to find out more about companies I plan on dealing with but thought it odd these same complaints aren't seen on their review board as well? Give it a try, you might get somewhere with your complaints or at least get others to be warned before applying if it's a valid issue. Just Sayin~
payment was not received
I have a Credit One Bank Visa card. Their customer service is horrible. August 16, 2016, I made a payment of $59.95. $50 was to be applied to my account and $9.95 was the total of the rip off fees they charge to accept my money on line. That's a whole other issue that I've learned is the cost of trying to re-establish my credit score with a company like this. I regularly check my account and as of August 22, I didn't see my payment post, but it was taken out of my bank account. I tried for hours, really hours, to get a live person from Credit One Bank on the phone. Of course, impossible. I tried the customer service link on their web site and continually received a message saying my request could not be processed. Finally, I decided to make another payment trying to avoid their ridiculous late fees. On August 23, I made another payment of $59.95 Today, August 31, I've received my Credit One statement indicating only the August 23 payment posted. I researched hidden phone numbers for Credit One and found a number that got me to a customer "harassment" representative that I could barley understand. This fine lady from another land, explained to me that it was my problem, not Credit One's, and the burden of proof was on me! Hoe is this possible? My bank statement clearly shows 2 distinct payment paid to Credit One, August, 16 and August 23. I went to my bank to make sure I was right. I was, 2 separate payments have been paid as I have explained.I am at a total loss, am I out $59.95?
worst card ever
I got this card in 2012 and pretty much kept up with the payements then I started getting all the increases like everyone else although you had to pay for them like 19.99 for 200 increase. I got all the way up to 1300 with this card and at the same time my credit score started to go up and I also got more cards so I stopped using the card. at the end of 2015 I had paid the card off place it in my drawer and never used it again. In march 2016 I was trying to get finaced for a house and my credit was pulled and it showed that I have a 60 day late chard from credit one. I called them to find out what it was they told me it was from a late for the yearly fee for having the card. I then explain to them that I never got a bill or email from them, this is where the fun began. I then talked to the first customer service rep and she explained that I was suppose to check my bill every month thru the computer. I told the rep. that I paid the card off and that I haven't gotten a bill thru my email or one sent to my house or a phone call, she then said that one was sent thru my email I told her that I checked and there is no bill, I then asked why was it high the bill was 100 dollars she said late fees. I then asked how much was it before she said 8 dollars I told her you guys put this on my credit for 8 dollars and didn't give me a bill, I then asked to speak to her manager and told him the same story and then come back and says oh we show its correct and we called you, I told him tell me the phone number on file and then gave me a number I had 5 years ago I told him you called the wrong number, and I had been changed my number with you guys, and I still never gotten a bill, he then give me someone else . tell this guy the same story and then he says its correct we called you I then asked him for my number he then starts to shoot of my new number I then explained that's not what the last person said and the person before that told me I had to check my email, I then got pissed and closed my acct, they did not want to take the 60 day late of my credit. so then the next day I get a phone call trying to collect the money I then told them to send the bill in the mail, right after that for a whole week I then started getting phone calls for the bill of the closed acct. WTF now you wanna call me, before for 8 dollars you didn't give a ###, and know this acct may cost me my house because the 60 days late is so recent its dropped my score, stay away from this card and the people here there English is horrible.

credit card
I owed $751 because I not working for 5 month so I can't pay my bills and when I stared working I call the bank to fixed my balance and they tell me that if I pay all my balance my account continue current and I can use my $500 credit again. Next day I try pay in the supermarquet and my card was declined when I call the bank they say that's happened because my account was cancelled. They lay to me to take my payment, with the excuse that everything is good that my account is open and if I pay my total balance I can continue used my credit card and it is not true.
I am sending this email because:
I sent a $42.00 Money Order to: Credit On e Bank, PO BOX 98873, Las Vegas, NV 89193 --- Money Order was bought at Amscot on 4-3-2016
Credit Card Number: [protected]
Expires: 06/18
Name on the card: " Leona Cox "
They have NOT posted this to my account, it's due today, [protected]
If it's not posted by 5:00PM today I will have Amscot to trace it & if someone has STOLE it & cashed it I will report as FRAUD & whoever signed the Money Order will have to return it or the POLICE will be contacting whoever signed it or return it to sender (the name on the envelope on the top left corner) Duh
My available credit was showing the different amount, that's why I called credit one customer service. The representative was a guy . He spoke with a bad attitude when I asked him why my available credit was showing difference. Also he could not explain it properly. Then I told him that I wanted to talk somebody else who can helped me and he just hung up the phone. Then I again called and talk to his supervisor Kenny . I asked his name but Kenny told he was not able to tell the name but he could give me reference no - 0111481. And I am really suspicious that the supervisor took this seriously or not.
payment not received
I made the mistake of sending a payment of $373 by MoneyGram money order to the address in Omaha Nebraska of Credit One, according to the letter I received with my Pin Number. That was in November and I was able to check by the tracking number that it was received on Nov.21st.When the payment was not posted I got in touch with Credit One in India and for over a month I have made numerous calls and been in touch with many supervisors and managers, some of whom were difficult to understand. I was promised that I would see it posted in 24 to48 hours . After about 20 lengthy phone calls, I was informed that my money order must be in a post box in Omaha, Nebraska, where the credit cards are produced. Unfortunately they were unable to contact anybody there. They could not give me a phone number. I was asked to fax all info regarding the money order and I sent a copy of the stub, etc. I contacted the authorities and they discovered that there was no building only a rented postbox and when they contacted Credit One in Las Vegas, Nevada, they told the management it was a scam. In order to trace my money order, which I had been told on several phone calls was already found, I was told by Credit One I would have to work out something with MoneyGram, which would take 65 days and if someone should cash it in the meantime I would be even worse off. That Payment would have paid the card off! They actually had the nerve to ask for another payment despite not doing anything to help and despite the fact that I have always paid early. As a former police officer, I do not take kindly to being lied to and led up the garden path.
fraudulent ach usage on company account
We have had numerous fraudulent transactions on the Company Operating Banking Account from Credit One. All charges have been disputed but seem to continue with different Credit One Clients. Even when declined transactions have been processed by our financial institution, they (Credit One) process late fees on the account. No one employed by or associated with our company has ever had or used Credit One. How do they have our banking information? and worse, it's several people's names that post. IE: John Hall; Garrett Overheul... Not sure what kind of business is being ran here going under the assumed name, Credit One but I hope our financial institution investigates and shuts them down! I am at my limits to having to close banking accounts and paying for fraud protection because of their (Credit One) negligence!
