I had my phone service disconnected when I ported my number to another service provider and then talked to customer service at Cricket to make sure that I would not be debited anymore on my automatic payment plan. They assured me I would not. I find out they are still debiting me. I call customer service and I report the problem they tell me that it is a pro-rated charge for the previous month. B.S.! We pay up front for our service or we don't get service the next month. I get the run around from everyone at Cricket. Quite simply, they suck! I will fight this to the end!

Dear Sir
i took my cricket line with lot of hopes, and i am having very hard time,

1) i was using very good sprint line, and Agent Jeffrey Vales told me that he can give 35$ + 15$ + 29$ (local charge, international charge, and instrument fee), i paid $79 totally for the service
2) But after paying $79, due to technical problem, it took 2 days for the new cricket line to be active. And the Agent MR. Jeffrey Vales promised that due to this difficulty he will do some discount in the next bill cylce.
3)) the quality of the instrument was very poor, and it disconnects it self
4) i waited one month and meet the agent in oakpark and asked for Mr. Jeff and reminded his commitment to the other agent, Mr. Jeff was not avalibale in the office 10th dec, 13, dec,
5) As Mr. Jeff made a committment to me help, other agents adviced me to wait Mr. Jeff.
6) Finally i met my Jeffery on 14 dec, and he totally ignored his professionalism, and committment and just told that u r account is expired, and he cant do any thing. he promised me $50 (35+15, internallonly) made fake promises and commitments and totally ignored . Thus caused my account expired, and he cant help any way,
7) I beleive in professionalism and business ethics which was absolutly lagging here, and finally i decided to close the cricket line.
8) i lost $71 with cricket, it is not the loss, it lost the trust .

thanks to Jeff, and cricket..

I can't help but wonder if your difficulties may have come from your lack of a good command of the English language. Many businesses and products are out there to help with this situation. Not only are there interpreters available in most larger cities, also, many multi-cultural areas in the US have businesses designed with the non-English speaker in mind.

Complaint against
Angel Martinez
Store #8024
Assault, verbal threats, and theft.

I went to the local mall kiosk to see about getting a Cricket Phone, 60 for a used phone $45 a month service and $15 activation...
$45 a month sounded like a decent price.
Suddenly, it is $135.
I ask the kid, hey where s the other $20 coming from?
He was too busy trying to get the account set up on the phone with someone one at that point to answer any questions.
So i asked they shyster looking dude there why my total and his total didn;t add jive.
"oh it is extra taxes on the used phone, federal taxes, not the normal 8.25%"
"plus you pay $3 for paying here"

Umm, no such thing as a federal sales tax on cell phones.
So I made them stop in the middle of porting and told them I didn't want it, and walked away.

I had written my personal info down on a piece of paper, and when I thought about them having my info, i got a funny feeling... so I went back and asked for the paper back.
"Umm, we gave it to your wife"
No you didn't
"yes we did"
No you didn't
"maybe it is in the trash"
Ok, hand me the trash and I'll get it
"no, I gave it to your wife"
No. Give me the piece of paper back.

After 5 minutes of arguing with me about whether or not they had given me back the paper with my info on it, guess what... they had kept my info there on the counter behind the display... It was right in front of me, out of my line of sight, and they just didn't want to give it back.
Why?
I dunno, I have my suspicions. Name Address Date of birth and Phone Number... there is a LOT you could do with that info.
The slimy guy became insulting and verbally abusive, saying he wanted to kick my [censor], and I walked away at first, but then I thought, "surely I ought to report this guy."

I walked back and asked him for his first name and store number.
Again he became abusive, stating he was going to kick my [censor], and refused.
So i pulled out my iPhone and was going to take his picture, so I could forward that identification of the person with my complaint.

Would you believe the son of a b-tch snatched the phone out of my hand, put it in his back pocket and refused to give it back unless I went outside and fought with him?
I ended up having to get mall Security and an off duty cop involved in order to get my iPhone back from him.

It would have been a lot easier to simple reach across the counter and teach him some manners the old fashioned way, but my kids were there. Turns out this guy was the MANAGER of the kiosk!
This is the kind of slimeballs Cricket employs to represent them...
So I would rather not HAVE a cell phone, or do a prepaid phone than deal with this company.

People beware. I ordered a phone online on 11/29/2010. I recieved the phone on 12/02/2010 even tho it was suppose to be overnighted it took 4 days to get to me. I paid everything online, the phone, first month service and taxes. When I activated the phone on 12/03/2010 and setup my online account I noticed my bill was already there. It stated that I owed 69.37 first of all I am on the 55.00 a month Android plan plus 3.30 taxes. When I called cricket they told me that I was billed for the following month (Jan 2011), which is no problem. Then I ask what the extra charge of 11.03 was for and they told me that it was for 11/29/2010 to 12/02/2010. Hmm, I was billed for time I didn't even have the phone, yet. I've tried all month to get this resolved, no go, so after numerous disconnects from customer service. I filed a complaint with the BBB. I am sure that they bill everybody like this and it should not happen. You should not be billed until you actually activate the phone. I smell class action lawsuit over this billing practice if anyone knows a good lawyer, as it is unfair if not illegal.

Here's my issue. It's been about 3 years since Cricket rolled out the $25 a month unlimited local, text and pics plan - which is what I signed up for. I don't make many calls, I'm a casual text-er and I just needed a phone where people could reach me (more incoming than outgoing calls) $25/mo I could do on my minimal budget. Had the plan for quite awhile and eventually was getting a little more money in so I decided I wanted caller ID, voice mail, 3-way added for an extra $5, but I noticed one day they had a long-distance plan of 100 minutes plus the caller id, etc, etc, per month for $5. I thought it would be a good addition because, heck, why not? 100 minutes plus what I originally wanted? I could call my long-distance family and ask them to call me back no problems!

Oh but there was a problem. Even though their international long distance 100 minutes for $5 reads: "100 minutes for US, Canada, and Mexico (includes Mexican landlines only) long distance calls every month." I was unable to use my minutes, so I called.

MAN was I given the run around. I spent 3 hours with numerous different people to be given so many BOGUS diagnostics of why I was reading their description wrong. One tried to tell me my texting my sister in Massachusetts was eating up my minutes (anywhere unlimited text ring a bell? Original plan?), another insisted that it didn't say what I was reading and that it only was for Canada and Mexico landlines. In the end I gave up in defeat since really, all I wanted was the caller ID, etc.

But even now, I'm finding even more issues with my plan since they let me know my original 'unlimited for $25/mo' was no longer going to be offered (though they're still charging me $25 + $5 + tax). Pics to show that discrepancy. Basically: Says I have not only the 100 long distance minutes to Canada and Mexico - finally phrased right, though I have a screen cap of where it wasn't - it also says I'm to have unlimited long distance, which I know I'm unable to do because I had attempted a long distance call and it told me I was unable to do so. And even though my ORIGINAL plan was free unlimited text and picture texts, I have found now that I have a picture phone, I am unable to send picture texts, but that's not listed in my plans. It also says I now DO have the Caller ID, voice mail, 3-way - but I get the feeling that if I remove the 100 minute plan, that those features will no longer work.

I bought a phone thru cricket and wanted my number ported they told me no problem. I went home with the phone and it didn't happen, called them later on and still did not happen. Called them in the morning and customer service said that they will fix it. I could make calls so I figure everything was fine. My phone did not ring all day. Mind you, I use my phone for everything from my children's school to my highly demanding job. I then learned that I did not have my old phone number ported instead they had assigned me a different number. I was livid. I called them and they said they would give me a credit for next month service which was unacceptable. I told them I wanted to return the phone, the store manager told me I couldn't do that because I had used the phone more than 30 minutes, which by the way were used to call customer service. I called the customer service people and they blamed the store, I called the store and they blamed customer service; claiming both are separate. This was never explained to me when they sold me the phone. I returned the phone and demanded a receipt but they refused to take the phone and give me a receipt. I WOULD NEVER IN MY LIFE RECOMMEND THIS TERRIBLE PHONE COMPANY TO ANYONE!

I had Cricket wireless internet service. It was a disaster from the beginning. First, I told the lady on the phone when I ordered the service that I had two computers they only sent one modem. I went to my local retail store to purchase the additional modem. I had a very weak signal the first time I tried to use the service. After taking my laptop around my entire house and yard it turned out I only had a usable signal in the farthest corner of my backyard. I went back to the retail store and explained the situation to them all they said was I should try a different computer. I called CS multiple times and every time the said I should try moving my computer to different rooms, I explained I had already that and it still didn't work. Eventually an employee admitted that they just do not have a strong enough signal in my area and no matter what I would never have a usable signal. He also said he would document all that in my acct. and that even though the 3 day return period had been exceeded by 2 days I would be entitled to a full refund since I had been working with CS from day 1. However, when I went to the store they refused. So at the store I called CS who now changed their story and said I could not have a refund. After multiple calls to CS and Cs going back and forth about the refund they once again assured me I would get a full refund. I go back to my local store where the manager points out on her computer the notes that say I am indeed entitled to a full refund. But she cannot give me a refund at her store because it is not a full service store. (yeah right). I must go 40 miles away to a full service store where she guaranteed me I would have no problems. I get to the ( Full service) store only to be told that there is no store that can refund my money, that refunds must be done by phone. And the notes that said I was to receive a full refund had mysteriously disappeared from my account. ( I knew I should have had them print the screen at my local store). And then her only other suggestion was to contact the BBB then she just left. I contacted the BBB and gave them my statement, then the Cricket store manager at my local store gave her statement in which she not only lied about her statements to me and subsequent visits to the store, but then proceeded to make things up that never happened. Cricket Inc., also proceeded to take well beyond 60 days to give their response to the BBB. They denied my request for a refund and their reason was more than 60 days had passed since the purchase. Well, I guess they don't check their records very well as I had already filed a complaint with my credit card company and they had credited my acct. for the entire amount.

I have both a cell phone and broadband, all my calls get routed to INDIA. I opened my account with cricket and pay each monthly payment on time in the U.S., and prior to sending this complaint all of my attemps were meant with me supposely placing the wrong account number which isn't true Is their someone
who knows how to view their account through the Cricket
BB device where it says email which is in the green and gray box in front of the one that says internet ? I'm not happy and this isn't what I pay for and where is all the American Speaking People (CS), persons that work for Cricket and why won't any of them speak to me? I speak english and would greatly appreiate speaking to someone that speaks my language no disrespect to anyone just would like to know that cricket is based here as well.

Its crazy to see people get so upset over something they can't control. I was a cricket customer and I was very satisfied with everything... Inexpensive and they give options that contract companies don't. Maybe you all should stop expecting customer service reps to kiss/suck your [censor]. And stop putting so much faith in man made objects. Accept that in life [censor] happens. Oh the reason I am no longer with cricket is because I wanted an android powered phone and at the time they didn't have any.

This company is terrible! Do not ever buy a phone from them unless you want the worst customer service ever! We purchased a new phone with this company after moving to a new state. Cricket told us they would have to cancel the old account in the other state and start a new one which was fine with us. We paid for the new phone and the 1st months payment. Unfortunately, due to my own fault, the next two payments got sent to the old account which should never have gone through anyways since they told us they would cancel it. Our new account is up to date, this was not the issue. I asked for the money sent to the old account to either be refunded or applied to the next two payments that would eventually be due on the new account. They said they would refund the payments but after faxing them some paperwork. Cricket also told me the old account would stay open until the refund went through, then the old account could be canceled. I called to get the status of the refund and they told me it was denied because the account is still open. Well, they told me it would stay open until the refund came through then denied the refund because the account is still open. I have gone to one of their stores and spoke with them plus customer service which unfortunately is in India at least 5 times. It's hard to deal with them because they don't understand me that well and I don't understand them. Each time they game me a different way to deal with the problem. One rep even got mad at me when I asked to speak to a supervisor. He said that it was no point transferring me to supervisor because the supervisor couldn't help and that I was questioning his ability to handle the call. As I said, I have been trying to get this fixed for over a month and still no luck. I am now forced to write the Better Business Bureau and also make another complaint to the Corporation Commission. Their service is great when wanting to start a new account but good luck with getting help afterwards!

In July 2010, I purchased a phone and 1 months service from Cricket. The phone never arrived. I am disabled so having a functional phone is an imperative. I am a lawyer. When I called to rescind the contract, citing Cricket's non performance, I was told my refund would need one month to process. Despite clearly telling them the service was terminated, they debited my bank account. The phone lines to obtain a refund were always busy so I called at various times to no avail. Letters were written to Cricket, Leap Wireless, its corporate parent, and the PA Attorney
General. I was told to show up at a full service Cricket kiosk, a full two hours from my home. Strangely, they could take my order over the phone but not cancel it. Letters were never acknowledged. They want unredacted bank records which they will never see. It is not a mom and pop operation. They have accountants. This is the worse company I have ever encountered in terms of refund. I am not young.

Presently, I wrote a formal legal letter to the parent co CEO giving them one week. If there is still no response, I will commence law suit. I am preparing the complaint now. When a letter was finally sent ot me, it was extremely juvenile. They are extremely lawless for a publicly traded company. BEWARE. The incident that started this mess is not unsual. Their customer service is the unusual part, even by today's lax standards. MANY HOURS OF MY LIFE HAVE BEEN WASTED ON CRICKET. THERE ARE ALTERANTIVES. DO NOT BUY FROM CRICKET.

Cricket has a dishonest payment policy. They offer payment options that they don't want you to use.
Cricket appears to want you to fall into their many late payment traps. This can only be explained by their want to have you submit to automatic payments taken directly from your bank. I pay monthly by their on-line process on their website. Every month it takes an hour or two because it never works the first few times and only works after calling customer support. And their support is bad as well.
They only want you to have one payment option - automatically take from your bank account - I can imagine the trouble that would follow if we dropped the service after being on the Auto-payment - how many more payments would they take after you've stopped their service before they decide to stop stealing your money? Why trust that they will do it right or honestly?

I added an extra Cricket wireless line to for my wife after receiving a text from them promoting the “New Kiocera Rio” phone. Me and my wife went to the Cricket Store on Clairemont Mesa Blvd, San Diego and bought the phone. The main reason my wife wanted to have the phone was because it had a music player and was relatively cheap. Well about a week after we bought the phone we bought a memory card, loaded some music on it and tried out the music player. Well...the music player did not work and we took the phone back over that weekend to have it replaced. The store clerk then tried using his memory card in the slot and it still did not work but referred us to a corporate store for a refund/exchange. Already fuming at this stage I took the time to take the phone to the corporate Store in San Marcos where the store manager mentioned that there is a problem with the music player on the Kiocera Rio phone as they have received an internal memo stipulating the problem and a replacement would thus not do any good and referred me back to the Store in Clairemont Mesa. It is now a month later, everybody at cricket just shrugs their shoulders while we are sitting with a piece of junk which battery barely last half a day as well. I am considering cutting all ties with cricket and their appalling service. It must be noted that cricket still sells the kyocera Rio to unsuspecting customers in their stores

Had my Cricket Broadband account suspended without notifying me. Recieved an e-mail notifiying me that my Visa card was soon expiring and i needed to update it with new card. I calle Cricket Tech. support and the agent told me he could not update my expiration date due to the fact that i had to have automatic payment withdrawal setup. I told him i DID..! That the amount was taken every 15th of every month. He still argued with me about not being able to update my credit card information.! I then tried to make a payment of $41.00 on the My Cricket website but it would not process my payment due to a white screen appearing on the website after i put my payment amount in..! Then tried to call Tech Support and could never get hold of a "live" agent to fix my problem. The Tech Support website is the WORSE..! I have been dealing with Cricket Wireless on and off for over 7 years. each time that there becomes an off period is because of a dispute of one kind or another. Each dispute however always share at least one common issue OVER CHARGES! This latest dispute began in December of 2010 and continues still today. Prior to December I had 2 phone & 1 broadband connection; my account ( at least these 3 numbers) were on a special discount plan with 2 new ringback tones monthly($5 added charge per line per month) on both cellular lines that Cricket offered/signed me up for in July 2010 with promise rates would not increase as long as I had account. Around end of Nov. beginning of Dec. I added a new line of service... without my consent or knowledge my rate was increased and ringtones not only disallowed but all that I had already paid for were removed. New line cost me $45 to add and did NOT receive first month as advertised and told. upon calling customer service to discuss problems I was informed that Cricket was going to credit all monies paid for all ringback tones and one month service, yet denied to reinstate my rate plan. to this day I still have not received any credits. Unfortunately phone for new line was stolen mid to late Dec. so I cancelled that line (around Christmas). December 2010 was charged $135 plus $45 for 3rd cell line. January 3rd was billed and paid $145 for Jan. service

It is now 4/4/11...my account is still connected to a complete stranger. Visited the corporate Cricket store last week, per their instructions & spoke with manager Kennon Ellison. I drove 25 miles to this store for NOTHING. This joker gave me some story about it's being worked on & they would contact me probably the next day. No call. Nothing is fixed. Kennon never called me back. I've ordered a phone from another company & will have to change my number since I cannot port my current number - BECAUSE I DON'T OWN IT ACCORDING TO CRICKET!

BUYER'S BEWARE! I ordered 4 cell phones from cricket, but can not get them even though they have my money. I have called headquarters, customer service and anybody else I could think of and the only response I can get is " I'm so sorry, there's nothing we can do". My phones are sitting in a fedex warehouse hundreds of miles away and thier (cricket) suggestion to rectify this problem is for me to go to the warehouse and get them, also they will not refund my money for thirty days, this company (I use that term lightyly) is without a doubt the WORST company I have ever tried to do buisness with, they do not seem to know how to do anything, and are incapable of correcting thier mistakes, as a matter of fact they treated me as though thier screwup was somehow my fault. DO NOT use CRICKET, they are NOT going to do anything except take your money! Signed REALLY PISSED OFF.

Over the last 3 days, I have been subjected to more than 3 dozen hang up calls from at least 5 different out of state phone#'s all related to Cricket. I screen all my calls, so, when I call the # back I am directed to call *611. So I do this and get the usual garbage, finally I get to a customer service rep who can't understand a word of English and they do nothing. I have sworn at them, begged, pleaded and cajoled and nothing, they keep calling. I do not owe money, my bill is paid in full, just as it has been for over 5 years. WTF is up with you [censored]bags! Any more calls and I will sue your fat lazy ### from here to China and back.

I had a month to month broadband account with Cricket Wireless while on an asignment in Houston, TX. I went into a Cricket store and canceled the account on April 21, 2010. When I checked my bank account on yesterday, I could see that they have charged my account every month since I canceled the account in April. This looks like the same type of scam that eventually got AOL in trouble with the public. Cricket is continuing to charge their customers after they have canceled their month to month service on their accounts. If anyone has a class action lawsuit against them, I would like to join.

Ported my phone from VerizonWireless on 4/06/2011. Have problems since date of purchase with phone, service, no voice mail, text message failures, inability to make and receive calls, inability to pay bill online so service was cut off, bad voice reception, complete failure and unreliable service. Retail store manager at Pennsauken, NJ store did nothing to problem solve and was abusive to me (e.g. "...ok, then you can have a nice day!" and promptly hung up the phone on this customer). No response from online or verbal or text (any and all "service" outlets have been useless) complaints since start date. Dangerous carrier. I have asthma and I have zero phone service during flare up. Deaths will occur due to their complete negligence and zero integrity. They absolutely have to be reviewed and watched. People will die with health emergencies. I've kept complete records and screen grabs on all problems encountered with zero response by Cricket to fix any and all problems. Now I demand my money be returned. I've invested time, money, health, energy to get help and have had none. They will provide some "credit" only if I stay with them. I'm leaving this carrier/phone now. I'm the customer that wanted the little guy to succeed. This was an experience I would hope to protect other consumers from in the future.

On 2/27/11 I purchased a Cricket phone. Finally got it activated on 3/16/11 after many calls to the worst customer service center I've ever dealt with. On that same day, I tried to start my phone number porting from another company. I had to call back because the system was down. Days later the number still had not been ported. On 3/29/11 after 100's of calls & screaming at non-English speaking ###s, my number was ported to a complete stranger & added to her account. I managed to get them to port my number to me which disconnected her phone. Now I cannot do anything to MY phone because it's on her account & my phone number which I've had for years, will be lost. F these people. I'm done. Do NOT use this company.

I wish I had found this before I changed to Cricket from AT&T. I too have experienced bad reception but I sadly found out that their customer service is way worse. I just sent the following to the BBB and I hope that they improve their business practices: " ON 5/31/2011 I called a Cricket service rep at their 800 number to pay my bill of $123.97. They charged me an additional $5.00 for paying it with a live representative. I notice on 6/3 that all of the money I had on my pay card, to last me and my two daughters, until my next payday, was gone. After researching, I found out that Cricket had taken three payments out, in the amount of $128.97, instead of one, on 5/31/2011. They took out an additional, unauthorized $257.94 which basically wiped me out. I, like most people, live paycheck to paycheck. I have two daughters and a Mother I support alone so, although this may seem like very little, to me it is everything. I don’t mind going hungry but it’s the worst feeling in the universe to not be able to feed your children. I work very hard, taking nothing from the government, and I’m still trying to find enough change under the cushions for a box of cereal for my 2 year old. I called Cricket on June 3rd and spoke with a CSR who gave me a fax number of [protected] and told me the situation would be rectified in 24 hours. I faxed over my transaction statement showing where the 3 charges were taken out. I waited until June 5th then found my monies were still not replaced so I called again. This time I was spoken to so rudely and told nothing could be done and I should not have been told 24 hours. Over the next 6 days, I called every other day. I was told each time that I could not speak to a supervisor, I could not speak to the department that I faxed the statement to and that I was basically out of luck. I was spoken to very rudely. I tried to explain the importance of the situation and that I have done all that was asked of me. I just wanted someone to tell me it was at least being investigated. I then, in frustration, went online to Google and looked for the Cricket corporate office. I was shocked to see how many complaints were listed under this search. I did get a number and called – the process was basically just started over again. As I write this, I still have no resolution. My money is still missing and I have no solid information of when it will be refunded. I don’t get paid until the 15th so I just ask for prayers from anyone who reads this. I also ask that Cricket be investigated so this does not happen to anyone else."

Do the customer service people taking calls at the 1-800-CRICKET number really not know what they are talking about or do they intentionally try to give you the run around and 99% of the time eventually disconnect you? I am completely frustrated with them and figure I'm going to just have to cancel all 3 lines and go with Boost Mobile. Everytime I call I get either nowhere or different answers, none of which resolve my problem and each call much too time consuming. I would not only not recommend Cricket to anyone, I will probably go out of my way to DIScourage their service. In fact I will probably search someway to voice my problem/opinion as loud as I can. I paid 6 mos svc in cash in advance, was told you get free month for every months prepaid. The store I bought the 3 phones went out of business and Cricket says I have to go back there, I have a balance due. I havent gotten my free 2 months service yet. Time to write off my losses and go with someone more reputable?

Cricket is horrible. Service provided, customer service from their call center in India or where-ever it is at. I bought a brand new phone offline. I've had this phone 3 days now & everyone I text is complaining of getting multiple duplicate texts. My friend got texts from my # that were in spanish as well as English texts I did not send. (I dont even know any spanish) Internet/Data has been down on the phone for the last 3 days. I pay for this, & I don't get it. Can't send or receive pictures do to this being down. I call cricket, sit on hold for 35 minutes & get a automated message that all representatives were busy please try again later & got hung up. I call back & it says please call back between business hours. So instead of taking the callers that been on hold forever they disconnect us & close. i'm sure cricket don't want to pay the Hindus overtime. Next day I call customer service the lady says the only thing I can do is take my battery out, put it in, turn phone on & dial *228...activation? My ### is activated already! Oh well, did it, it fixes nothing.
I've had cricket in the past. It has always been BAD, but normally I can just take it & shrug my shoulders at it. This is getting beyond ridiculous. I even remember getting service & being given someones number or vice versa that was already active. How the hell do you give someone a number that is already on? Do your computers not keep track of this type of ###? I work in a call center, I know the environment, costs, etc. Cricket is lowest class of trash. I got it with the intentions of using it for about a month or so until I switch to a better provider. I don't think I will last that long with Cricket. Luckily I only wasted $30 on them.

I agree with what someone said about the chargers. Regardless of what name brand cell you get thru cricket I swear you will be buying a new charger for it. (Make sure you buy it off ebay, don't give cricket more money to sell you another charger that will need replaced within months) I have like 4 5 year old sprint phones that the charger still works fine in. None of my old crickets even have a working charger.

Think I'm going to give boost a shot. Didn't wanna go blow $130+ on a phone provider I knew not too much about but in comparison with Cricket, I'm sure boost will be amazing!

Cricket is one cheap company, where can I start?

Well, great websites like blueapple.mobi(vuclip) and other highly efficient mobileweb and html sites are BLOCKED because cricket CAN'T HANDLE THEM. They used to redirect you to their cricket webpage when you entered a url they couldn't handle, but now they LIE and say "your device is not supported". FUK A BULL ###! Listen here bic boi, I have the Huawei Ascend, one of their best phones, with the unlimited data, and they are going to tell me that my ### is not compatible?! Fuk you bic, you very cheap. Your grandmader is old like raisin! The minute I TURN ON THE WIFI, wholly ###, the website works! Why would my ### be incompatible when I use THEIR network, but the minute I use MY HOME INTERNET with the SAME PHONE-the site magically works? Hmm quite a lot to think about huh? You pay for the unlimited data, and they stop you from using websites that are heavily trafficked. Using the speedtest app in the adroid market, it told me I had a few MEGABITS a second. After being with them for a month, the speed test now says a few KILOBITS a second. I try to download a video with the naked ladies-10 megabytes, about an HOUR later, only 6 megabytes downloaded. Then they kick me off the internet and tell me that the download failed. I could visit every site except that one now.(and the already blocked urls)
Damn you cricket, you take away my happy time. :( fuk you ###

My boyfriend has been dealing deplorable cricket CS for the past two-three weeks. His phone had been stolen, which was not covered under their warranty. He went online to purchase a new phone from their website. He never received the new phone, but his account was charged anyway. He has been calling CS for the past 2-3 weeks trying to figure out how to get this solved. He had been told by multiple people that he would have to speak with their supervisors, and that they would call him him back in 1-2 days. That never happened. He called to get a phone sent to him, in which the person he spoke with stated that they would offer him a free upgrade due to the inconvenience. Nothing ever came. He called again, and then was told that he needed to speak to the payment department and get a refund and start all over. The person he spoke with said that they could not give him a refund, and he has pretty much been bounced around from one department to another and back. Not only is this company's CS terrible, it appears that none of the departments know what they are doing. Unfortunately, Cricket is the only network that can be received where he works.

I tried to get a broadband service. It never worked so I asked a refund. I was told that I would be receiving a check twice. 2 months later, I am still waiting. Now they say I may not get a refund. Company policy! I never used the service because it never worked! RIP OFF!

You buy the equipment, they lie to you about their service. You are free to move on to another company, but you just got suckered into pay $300 for a phone and modem. For example you will not ever get to download all the stuff they say you can from the internet. If you download even one video they treat you like you’ve done something wrong. You pay now $65 for the equivalent to dial up speed 15 years ago. However their system calculates your usage is way off and the modem does not turn itself off, unless you are actually want to use it chooses to go dormant. otherwise it keeps adding up using time. It is horrible. The phone and the service does not work, dials wrong numbers, sends people multiple texts over and over and over, your voice mails sound garbled if they are there at all. I wrote to BBB and Cricket just repeats what you complain about and then says it’s too bad, no refunds and BBB closes the case because Cricket “understands” your complaints. The customer service is horrendous. The people are very nice and polite, but they don’t know what to do for you and have canned responses. Everything boils down to you having to find a corporate store, which are few and far between, and driving there. I’ve made about 6 trips now, spend at least 15 hours on the phone with these people. I’ve only had service for 3 months. They know they’ve screwed you once you buy the equipment because unless you want to just eat what you spent, you keep the service hoping it gets better, but it doesn’t. All the problems that were there 3 months ago are still there.I have so many complaints about this company I cannot begin to get it all down here. Also, unless you speak Arabic, you will not understand a word they are saying and if you call from the phone you got from them, using their service, you can’t hear them anyway.

If anyone gets a class action suit going, please start a web page or facebook page so I can find you. I will take part.

I just bought a Sanyo Zio from Cricket . Just switching over to the new payment plan was a hassle and seemed underhanded. They told me that I was a "post" payer and needed to be a "pre" payer. I have never known Cricket to have a post-pay system. It has always been pre-pay as far as I knew! So, I now had to pay for my previous month in addition to paying the next month before I could switch. Does this make any sense?

Next, I am informed that I have 30 minutes of talk time to decide if I like the phone... WHAT? The guy tells me not to talk on it much so I can mess with the features. WHAT? This is my only phone! I use it for everything! I had 30 minutes gone before I left the parking lot!

Needless to say, I hate the phone. I paid $350 just to get the phone and switch the service. I have been a Cricket customer since the beginning and they are really pushing me away. Time to find a better option...

I contacted cricket about getting service for myself and my wife, when i first called them the customer service rep was very helpful and answered all of my answers. I asked if they gave refunds if the serivce didn’t work out and they said yes they would refund both the phones and service as long as the phones had been used less then 30 mins and i cancelled the service within the first week. They also told me that they used the same towers sprint does to increase their cell phone range which I was happy about becuase we get strong sprint signals in the home. They charged me for every thing including my first month bill right up front.

As soon as we got the phones we realized we were going to have problems we could not get and signals in the house or at my job. The phones didn’t ring at all we just got messages that there was a missed call. The people we called could not hear us and after about 2 mins of yelling into the phone can you hear me, the call was dropped. That same night I called the customer service and I was told by a customer service rep they would refund me for my phones I just had to mail them back.

But then she told me I should not have been charged for my monthly bill until after the first month was up but to get refunded I had to go into a cricket store with my proof of payment, when I told her to cancel my plan she then told me she couldn’t do that did not refer me to anyone else just told me to go to my local store. So the next day I went into my local cricket store and was told something completely different.

1) they always charge you’re first bill up front.

2) they are a “prepaid” cell phone company and do not give refunds under any circumstances.

3)there are 2 different 1800 numbers and only one is actually cricket the other one just sales their items and signs you up (but doesnt know their policies yet they answer customer service questions and never refers you to the real cricket customer service number)

4) anything sold online has to be taken care of online if there are any problems you cannot go into you’re local store and handle it (unless its paying you’re bill or cancelling you’re phone plan) and finally

5) for me to even be considered for a refund i have to fill out request forms send them in and then wait 6-8 weeks just to be denied for a service I couldn’t use and barely had for 24 hours.

So I left the store went to the post office mailed the package with the phones certified mail that way they cannot lie about never recieving it and refusing me a refund on phones I barely put 10 mins on, then i contacted my bank and disputed the charges for the service which I am now in the process of fighting. Cricket is a company full of liars and thieves as long as I am concerned and if you were smart you would go somewhere else.
