Parking
Last night, 3 May 2021, I went to the Darwin Airport to pick up my husband. Following instructions I parked in the 'free' pickup zone when I was told by my husband we was waiting for his bags. When we were finally ready to leave there was 4 minutes left of my free parking as his bag took a long time to come out. Unfortunately the 'free' was a con as there was only one gate open and a long line of cars waiting to leave. There was obviously some problem with this one gate as I sat there for over 5 minutes with no movement. Finally the line started to move but by the time I got to the gate guess what - my 'free' park cost $8. This is a very cunning way to make money - give the illusion of a free park then ensure the gate won't let people out in a reasonable time.
There is also an issue with paying at the gate - the instructions say to put your credit card in and after processing 'collect your ticket'. However there is NO ticket so you are left wondering what to do next. Eventually I removed my credit card and the gate opened. Perhaps this was the problem holding up the traffic for so long.
Desired outcome: Refund my $8, open all the gates so traffic can move, fix the wording on the machine so it doesn't say to take a ticket that doesn't exist.
customer service / jetstar
To the manager of Jetstar,
I am writing to bring to your attention a serious issue I had in your establishment last week. I had received the worst customer service I have had in a long time.. I was checking into Jetstar to go back home to my husband, I am a regular flyer with Jetstar and come to Darwin every chance I get to visit family. Ive never had an issue with Jetstar but after the weekend im not impressed at all.. The girl that served me had brown hair, brown eyes I believe and had light brown skin, I believe her name badge said "Amelia" to be prosiest. I'm appalled at the lack of common courtesy and professionalism she had in customer service. I had a heavy bag and asked for some help from "Amelia" at the desk and could see she was on her mobile phone laughing at something that came through.. as I proceeded to ask again for some help to lift on to the convey belt she still proceeded to 'text' on her phone.. she had an attitude when I told her what was happening and still didn't proceed to help.. a nice gentleman helped me lift the bag onto the convey belt. she had muddled up my ticket and had that I was flying to Adelaide instead of Brisbane it wasn't until the lady at the gate read my ticket as she was ripping it off to board the plane and said 'have a good time in Adelaide' when I was meant to be on the plane to Brisbane that I missed..
I am concerned with the lack of understanding I received from the staff member who helped me. She misunderstood my request and refused to let me speak to her supervisor when I ran back down and told her she sold me the wrong ticket and didn't do anything about it, I had to go and ask I nice boy from a different airline. I felt she acted very unprofessionally. If you could maybe talk to your staff in customer service at Jetstar and let them know that you need to be professional and to go on your personal phones at the end of your shifts.. and to most importantly pay attention to your customers. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
Sincerely
Forced to buy two tickets for the same trip from Darwin to Denpasar on July 17th 2016.
On July 17th, 2016, I was first in line to check in with my e-tiket, EJTHJK, for flight QZ541, Class1 at Darwin Airport, Australia at 5pm. My names as written in the ticket was Mr. Howie Timothy James, number [protected]. The check in staff member rejected my ticket as they stated my name is actually Timothy James Howie. I was then forced to purchase another ticket on the spot as I was trying to fly from Darwin, Australia to Denpasar Bali. I was returning to work in Surabaya, Indonesia. The second ticket for QZ541 seat 14D, WLJ69X cost over $300.00AUD. I paid that using credit card. The first ticket was purchased by cash in Surabaya. I believe Air Asia is being just trite and totally not service oriented at all. I have tried writing to them using an on-line complaints form but the form is being rejected even though complete. I am hoping for a refund.
I took a flight 1:20 am flight to Sydney on 19th may.
The security check staff got me to put everything in a tray and valuables under the mat in the tray. I took everything off. Then I was taken to x Ray 2 times and then pat down.
During this time my wallet has gone missing. When I called out I the received a standard response. No CCTV?
They were not being trite at all. Every airline all over the world has this same policy. Your name must match your ID exactly, with no reversals or misspellings.
