I used some free oil change coupons at Daytona Toyota
I used some free oil change coupons at Daytona Toyota. The mechanic didn't put my engine shield back on properly and left out two bolts. As a result, the shield was hitting the bottom of the road and got damaged. They actually wanted me to pay for the repairs, but I argued that they were the ones who caused the problem. Eventually, they agreed to fix it. However, it's been almost two weeks now and they still haven't called me to let me know when the parts came in. Can you believe it? On top of that, they also mentioned that if I'm using their free coupon for oil changes, I should be using their mechanical services for all my car repairs or services. How nice of them.
When I bought the car, not the car I wanted, but that's a whole other story about how they tricked me, I have a complaint
When I bought the car, not the car I wanted, but that's a whole other story about how they tricked me, I have a complaint. They didn't give me the complete sale, there's no key. CJ said I could get it at Kittles next week, but CJ never called them or gave them a key copy. Then CJ asked me to send a picture and said he would handle it right away, but that still hasn't happened. They said Dean would take care of it in 24 hours, but it's been 3 days and still nothing. Please order my key so I can pick it up or give me my car back.
Daytona Toyota sold us a used car with a CarFax report showin a clean history, which turned out to be inaccurate
Daytona Toyota sold us a used car with a CarFax report showin a clean history, which turned out to be inaccurate. In 2016, Daytona Toyota sold us a used car with a CarFax report that showed a clean history. When we sold the vehicle in 2020, the buyer's CarFax report showed previous damage that had occured prior to our purchasing the vehicle. This information was not reported to CarFax until 2 years after we had purchased the vehicle. The date of the damage report is identical to the date that the vehicle was serviced at Daytona Toyota according to the 2020 CarFax report, implying that Daytona Toyota was aware of this damage but did not disclose it to us at the time of the 2016 sale.

From the very beginning, I made it clear that I didn't want the car that they said I could tow with and that had internet issues
From the very beginning, I made it clear that I didn't want the car that they said I could tow with and that had internet issues. They also restricted me to only test drive it around the block. Within a month of purchasing it, the sensors started going crazy and the tire sensors would stay on even after driving through a puddle. They added things to the original contract without informing me. I've tried talking to several managers, but one of them laughed at me and never came back to assist me, leaving me stranded in the office. They also promised to get me out of the car and into a new one, but never discussed the price with me. They treated me horribly and protected the guy who picked the car for me, that's all I could get from them. Now they claim they can put me in another car, but my payments will be even higher.
I never been told or explained extra charges
I never been told or explained extra charges. I never do reviews but today is the day I MUST do one! These people will act like they're doing you a favor and best believe you'll be paying for it literally. This is my first time buying a car and this experience is by far the worst. This makes me don't want to buy a car ever again. To start off, I have had my car all of 1 week and 2 days and has been to this *** four times for them to take a maintenance plan off that costed me $963 plus $82.10 in taxes. But guess what, they never told me that it costed me, in their words they had a coupon for me. I also was charged an additional $300 onto my car price and can't get an answer on what it's for. When they get your money, you're history, they don't want nothing to do with you. I AM CURRENTLY WRITING THIS REVIEW SITTTING IN THE DEALERSHIP. I HAVE BEEN WAITING SINCE 4:15pm AND IT IS NOW 5:34pm. Next time...wait there won't be a next time. I was finally seen at 6pm and to find out I couldn't get my money back. However, I was told there was a recording of our conversation and I want to hear that conversation please!
I bought a used 2015 Promaster van from Daytona Toyota
I bought a used 2015 Promaster van from Daytona Toyota. After 89 days, the car suddenly stopped working and now it needs a new motor. On August 23rd, I purchased a 2015 Ram Promaster van with around 80,000 miles on it. They told me it was fully inspected, reliable, and in good working condition. I even paid an $895 reconditioning fee. But after driving it for just a few thousand miles, on November 28th, the van started making a loud metal sound and then shut off abruptly. Thankfully, I managed to restart it and park it at a shop. However, on the following Monday morning, November 30th, when we tried to start the van again, it wouldn't start. We took it to a local shop and they told us that the crankshaft won't turn and there's metal in the oil, indicating some internal engine damage. The van needs a new engine. I reached out to the Sales Manager at Daytona Toyota, who then referred me to one of his employees. Eventually, the Sales Manager called me back and said they wouldn't help with the repair of the vehicle. So, I've spent $13,000 on a vehicle that lasted less than 90 days and 3,000 miles, and they refuse to take any responsibility.
I bought a car from Daytona Toyota and it had some big problems
I bought a car from Daytona Toyota and it had some big problems. We got a used car and the next day the engine light came on. We took it back to the dealership within two weeks and found out the engine was completely broken. I asked them to take the car back, but they said no. They lied to us and said the car didn't have any previous issues, but the broken engine says otherwise. They told us we had to pay $1,000 for a used engine with 50,000-60,000 miles on it. I know it's a used car and the contract says it's sold as is. But the salesperson said it had a full inspection, which clearly wasn't true. Anyway, we picked up the car and saw in the paperwork that the sales director DJ lied. The so-called "new" engine actually had over 110,000 miles on it. It's been a terrible experience and I'll never go back there again. I'll also tell everyone I know not to go there. I went to get our contract, which they didn't give us when we bought the car, and the secretary was really rude. I had to wait for an hour with my kids before I finally got the paperwork. THEY ARE TERRIBLE AND DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS. I asked to talk to the owner, but they said no. I guess they don't want the owner to know how bad their customer service is, or maybe the owner just doesn't care. Now we're stuck with a car that doesn't meet standards, even though they said it did. If they don't fix this, I'll take legal action.
Salesman misrepresented the features (navigation) on the new vehicle I recently purchased
Salesman misrepresented the features (navigation) on the new vehicle I recently purchased. I recently, October 24, traded in a perfectly fine older luxury vehicle in order to obtain a new vehicle with more advanced and safety features, most importantly, navigation. I communicated these parameters to the salesman, Andrew S. He assured me that the new Rav4 was equipped with navigation. After all the paperwork and payment was concluded I found the vehicle was NOT equipped with navigation! I was told to purchase a Garmin! I already had a Garmin but didn't like all the connections and wires. I told the salesman this right off the bat. Also, once I got home, I discovered I had left several CDs in the trade-in vehicle and was assured they would be saved. I then called several times to get the status but my calls remain unanswered. I finally had to drive 15 miles to the dealership only to find that my CDs were not saved. Very poor and unethical dealings. When I complained to the finance person and the aftermarket salesman, they didn't even ask the name of the salesman, which suggests this is a normal practice. Additionally, when I reviled this information on Toyota's Review request, I received a stock reply directing me to call a certain person to discuss my review. I did so only to be told he no longer worked there. I was then directed to an alleged sales manager, Jeff R, who couldn't find my review, allegedly because his computer wasn't working (naturally). He promised to get back to me in 15 minutes. That was 6 days ago and I still haven't heard from him. They have my money and are no longer interested. Toyota should be ashamed.
I went to Daytona Toyota for a regular oil change
I went to Daytona Toyota for a regular oil change. When I got my car back, the engine light and trac light came on. I called Toyota and they said to bring it back on Monday. I had my car towed there with AAA on Monday morning. They told me there was an oil leak that they caused, but they fixed it for free. They said I could pick up my car after the repair. However, when I got home, the light came on again. I had to take the car back for the third time. They had it for a few days and said it was the engine coil and spark plugs that needed to be replaced. They charged me $449. I picked up the car and thought the issue was fixed. But on my way home, the car broke down again. I turned around and took it back for the fourth time. This time, they gave me a loaner car and had my car for a few days. They called and said it was the fuel injector that needed cleaning. They told me to come pick up my car and said the problem was solved. I immediately picked up my car and drove to work. However, when I tried to leave work, the car started stalling and the engine light came on again. I took it back to Toyota right away for the fifth time. Now they're saying I need a whole new engine because radiator liquid is getting into the coils. My car never overheated or had any issues before the oil change. It's crazy that all these problems started after I went to them. It's even scarier because this month is my final payment on the car. I feel like they did something that caused all of this, whether intentionally or unintentionally. My car used to run smoothly without any issues before the oil change.
I went to Daytona Toyota after seeing a vehicle listed for $19000 on Carfax and other sites
I went to Daytona Toyota after seeing a vehicle listed for $19000 on Carfax and other sites. John, the salesman, confirmed that the vehicle was available for that price. However, when I arrived at the dealership with my wife, I discovered there were additional fees totaling $1300. I expressed my willingness to pay the advertised price, but John informed me that the fees were mentioned in the fine print. Reluctantly, I agreed to negotiate with the manager, Michael C.
After much discussion, we settled on a price of $19389 plus tax, with the condition that I finance through Space Coast Credit Union. Although I preferred to pay in cash, I agreed to their terms. In the finance department, I filled out forms on an electronic device, which was difficult to read. However, I trusted that everything was in order. To my surprise, when I finally opened the file on the thumb drive they provided, I discovered that I had been charged an additional $389, along with the other fees.
I contacted John about the discrepancy, and he did not deny it. Instead, he claimed that they had lost money on the deal and suggested I should be satisfied with the overall agreement. I insisted on the original deal we had agreed upon, but John refused to communicate further and directed me to contact Michael, his manager. When I spoke to Michael, he seemed to have forgotten our previous conversation and offered no explanation for the price difference.
I no longer believe that this was an honest mistake. It appears that they took advantage of my age, assuming I wouldn't notice or question the additional charges. I ended up paying approximately $1300 more than the agreed-upon price, and I believe both John and the manager were aware of this discrepancy. While I hope for a resolution, I have doubts about their willingness to rectify the situation. I have kept the texts and emails as evidence to support my claims.
