Deals Club / Dealathons Scam

I do not recommend buying anything from DealsClubCanada. Received my product and it was obvious that someone already opened it. Package was completely ripped off. I contacted DealsClubCanada customer care and their rep said they were ready to give me a full refund. Following their instructions I sent the item back but never received a refund. Do not believe DealsClubCanada, even if they'll promise you a refund they will not give your money back.

Deals Club / Dealathons Their deals are scams

Hi, I bought a deal on this site which turned into a scam coupon when I tried to use it. I contacted Dealathons.com and sent them the prove that it was a scam and that I would like my $125 back to my credit card. They got back to me but they never refund the money. I will never recommend this company to anyone. It does not deserve a start rating.

Tip for consumers: Scam deals. Don't buy anything of this site

Deals Club / Dealathons Never received what I ordered

I purchased my order on July 29, 2014 and they received my payment immediately. The ad said I would receive my items between 2-4 weeks. It has been 10 weeks now. I have emailed them over 10 times and called as many with no response from anyone.

THIS WEBSITE IS A SCAM! DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! !

Deals Club / Dealathons This seller didn't change orders or provide refunds

I bought some stuff from the website www.dealsclubcanada.com, but I really wouldn’t recommend this website. I got broken item, which was impossible to return. The seller simply refused to take it back or change. I asked for half price, but he refused. As well as the seller replied in rude manner and it was really unpleasant experience. The worst company ever, so avoid these ### and post comments about your experience with them.

Deals Club / Dealathons Fraudulent company - stealing money

I purchased a fragrance via Dealathons from their equally useless vendor Houseware Connections. I had purchased similar goods from them before. No mention was made that you could not ship this small item to a PO Box. On two previous occasions they had shipped to my PO Box. The useless vendor shipped via Canpar to my PO Box address. Eventually she informed me that Canpar could not deliver because my address was incorrect. She said she confirmed my address was correct. Canpar are similar to Fedex. It is a known fact they do not ship to PO Boxes. I obtained the Canpar tracking number from the vendor and called Canpar. They informed me that my parcel remained in their warehouse for 3 weeks. They kept calling the vendor to tell her they do not ship to PO Boxes. The vendor requested a pay an additional $18 to reship the item. I refused and requested a full refund. Houseware Connections said she would arrange a full refund with Dealathons. I also tried to email both Houseware Connections and Dealathons several times with no response from either one. I called and left voice mails for 3 weeks with no response. I did find the trick to get them to answer is to phone Sales. Of course they are very eager to take those calls and I got a human being answer immediately. They promised me a refund and updated my Dealathons account with a status of refunded. That was 1 month ago. I paid with Paypal and have not been refunded. STAY AWAY FROM THESE FRAUDSTERS!7ad2f

Deals Club / Dealathons I don't recommend Dealathon at all

Purchased an item (Dec 8) for a Christmas gift from a deal where it advertised receive in time for Christmas. Despite being assured through the contact form, and three time weekly phone calls, I was never provided with shipping information or a tracking number. The item I ordered was not received by Dec 24, which leaves me having to go shopping Christmas eve instead of spending time with family.

Tried calling Dealathon Friday, Dec 21 and Monday, Dec 24, but they're not answering their phones, and their voicemail is full. Not surprising, since I am pretty sure I am not the only one.

Dealfind (different site) is fantastic. Never have had a problem and their service is superb. I don't recommend Dealathon at all.

Deals Club / Dealathons They have no customer service at all

They have no customer service at all. I had a voucher for lazer treatment and the voucher was voided for no reason. I have paid 200 dollars and didn't get the services done. I have been calling and calling and the so called manager, David said he would take care of it and gave me hbis extension number. I have called 20 X and he is not at that number. There was a woman who said that David was away in meetings most of the time. This whole voucher thing was from over a year ago and still no refund, no credit for their site, ZILCH. Buyers beware!

Deals Club / Dealathons I have attempted to contact Dealathon by phone, e-mail, etc for months

I purchased 2 vouchers for Cerritos Surf Colony and we were looking forward to our Mexican vacation. Unfortunately, we were contacted by the resort and they said they could not honour the vouchers because Dealathon was not paying them. I have attempted to contact Dealathon by phone, e-mail, etc for months. Calls are not returned. I did get an e-mail response once that indicated a refund would be provided. That was about 6 weeks ago and no refund has been made.

Deals Club / Dealathons I would not recommend anyone ever use this

DO NOT BUY! This site is a scam!

We bought a voucher for a hotel in Radium Hot Springs back in May. We made our reservations in June for the hotel, drove to Radium from Calgary and upon arrival was told the hotel was overbooked and there was nothing they could do (don't get me started on this).

We then contacted dealathon to get our refund. It's currently mid-October and we still DO NOT HAVE IT?

May 16 - Bought voucher
mid June - Requested refund. was told it would take 6 weeks to get a cheque via mail.
end of August - No cheque yet. Called back and they said it would be refunded through paypal this time within a week.
end of Sept - Still no refund, called back (long story short) and they said it would be done "immediately"
Today (mid Oct) - Still no refund, called again to hear the same story.

Bottom line is, if I do get back my money i would be very surprised. This website is obviously not very complaint with customer satisfaction and I would not recommend anyone ever use this. It is complete bull$#*!.

Deals Club / Dealathons I have an awful feeling the site is a SCAM

After reading the reviews on this site and the experience I had with Dealathons, I have an awful feeling the site is a SCAM...

I ordered flipflips in early June from them. I have since emailed (no response) and left a message (not easilly done since many of their answering machines are full) and I have yet to get through to a live person or hear back from them.

AVOID BUYING FROM THIS SITE.

I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau if I do not hear back from Dealathon in the next week. I also plan to warn Sick Kids Hospital about this company using their name as a way of marketting their website as giving to charities. I would love to know if they've gotten anything from Dealathon.

I highly disagree with the complaints on this site. I have ordered many products from Dealathons.com and have received them in a timely manner. I would 100% order again and I have referred them to many of my family and friends.

I see that your phones were down August 2012...its February 2014 and your phones still don't work. You might want to contact Bell and see what the hold up is.

I've been calling several times a day for the last two weeks and I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone. I'm a lawyer on mat leave and exposing your company has just become my pet project.

This site is a SCAM 100 %. I have contacted Sick Kids Hospital and they told me they HAVEN'T received a penny from Dealathon. I have had the worst experience with Dealathon in my 4 years of online deal shopping.

ALSO the guy called DAVID MAGAZZINICH, who responds to all the online complaints with FAKE excuses, is also the person who they refer you to when you have a complaint. He is also calls himself Michael or by other names. I found this out when he responded to a customer's complaint online with his cell number (different than the one on the website) and the number matched with what he told me was his cell phone. HE IS A SCAM! PLEASE BEWARE !

Hi, I am so sorry you feel that way. Dealathons has done over 2540 deals in 2 years and although some have had issues, 99.9% are fine. We do our best to respond to any issues in a timely manner. In regards to the sandals. After ordering 2 large orders, and preparing for a 3rd. We were told we would have to wait until September 1 to order again, this was not told to us prior to the deal going up, everything was fine then. Either way we have initiated refunds for all customers still who have not received their sandals. Please feel free to email david@dealathons.com and I will look into this right away,

In regards to our phones, they have been down now since yesterday (Aug 28) at 4 pm and we are working with Bell to fix them, sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.,

Sincerely,

Deals Club / Dealathons Stay away from these guys

Buyer beware.. my friend has been chasing this company for a few months trying to get paid for a deal they did with dealathons. Constant emailing to the CEO - David, and leaving messages with the receptionist. No phone calls ever returned. Always an excuse, and the answer is the cheque is being couriered.

Except the Cheque never arrives...

Makes me wonder whether the donation to the children's hospital actually gets paid out, when they can't even pay their partners in a timely manner. Definitely, not a good business practice, hurts the small company's with big hearts !

Many of these small businesses turn to companies like these to increase their business and traffic flow through their stores, but when they don't get paid, it puts them in jeopardy as they offer such great deals at a loss on the companies end.

Suggestion If you want to donate money to children's hospital, do it direct, then at least you know it will get there ! as all charities will acknowledge your donation with a letter.

Support small businesses, but go into the store, chances are they have great deals with out having to pre-buy a coupon to get it.

Deals Club / Dealathons Do not purchase ANYTHING with them

WARNING! I recently purchased various vouchers through dealathons and not only the telephone listed on their website doesn't pick up, but after the store I bought the vouchers for went out of business dealathon is refusing to provide me a refund. They not only do not follow their own customer service policy for refunds on their website but refuse to provide a refund. extremely disappointed that there are companies like Dealathon that steal our money. Do not purchase ANYTHING with them. Wagjag and Groupon have already refunded all their clients but Dealathon will not.

Deals Club / Dealathons This is not a site that I would want to give business to

The information about a deal was very vague so I contacted the company for more information. They did not return my call despite leaving 2 messages. I sent a message to dealathon advising them of my poor experience with one of their service providers and was given a nasty reply. This is not a site that I would want to give business to. There are a ton of other daily deal web sites that offer good customer service and deal with legit companies.

I purchased 2 painting vouchers awhile back. Painters didn't show up. I contacted Dealathon who said they would send me a credit. Great - I have a credit memo. Doesn't do me much good unless they actually put the money back in my paypal account. That was 10 business days ago.

I guess the next step is to notify paypal that I've been ripped off.

Can you say beyond frusterated... I had bought 5 different vouchers for a resturant that had no expiry date however the place has since closed. I called May 15th for a refund and was assured that they would mail a refund to my home address as no credit card information was stored. Nothing came, phoned again on August 15th and spoke to the same person who said that they would re-issue the cheque for me and that someone from from accounting would call me the next day to confirm a tracking number. There was no call so I called back and spoke to the same girl who assured me that the cheque had been put in the mail that morning, August 17. I asked for a managers name and extension to follow up. To date I still haven't received a refund, so i just phoned back for the third time and spoke to Anton, who assured me that it would be in the mail in the morning. I requested again for a tracking number and was told that he was unable to provide it until the morning. So lets see what happens tomorrow.

Customer service is terrible and the girl on the phone didn't seem too concerned that the merchant did not give the full spectrum of services. She offered me a $20 credit and I was out $100.

BUYER BEWARE … If you really need to purchase from Dealathons.com please use a credit card where you can easily dispute the charge(s). I am an avid user of the deal/coupon/voucher sites and have not encountered such lack of respect to their customers and poor quality vendors (basically scammers). In my case I requested a refund for a voucher which specified they accepted paypal which after much effort found out the dealathons vendor no longer accepted payal. The vendor did not return my many emails and phone calls pertaining to this issue … instead I was informed from paypal themselves. I then proceeded to contact dealathons numerous times via email and phone (if anyone answered it was always ‘the person you need to speak with is not in right now I will have her call you back’). Suffice to say they never ever called or emailed me back. To-date I still have not received my refund nor a reply. Nice.

This website is most definitely a scam. 2 months ago I ordered a 30 dollar product, not really anything worth scamming people on in my opinion but evidently... Anyway, I've emailed them, called them all hours of the day. Within business hours or outside of them the phone does nothing but ring and send you to voicemail if you're lucky, if you're not lucky it just hangs up on you.

I paid using paypal but unfortunately gave this "company" the benefit of the doubt until I passed the time I could launch a complaint. I'm going to let Paypal know regardless that this company has no intention of doing business properly but I'd be surprised if I ever hear from this place again. Buh Bye 30 bucks.

Bought a voucher for a car wash from Dealathons. After many attempts to book, it turned out the company offering the car washes didn't really exist. i know this because I did a drive-by one day to ask for a booking in person and it was a deserted industrial unit. Asked Dealathons for a refund. Around 2 months later they finally pay up, into a Paypal account, so I consequently get charged a fee by Paypal. Not sure how stupid they think their customers are. They were hard to get to speak to, didn't return a single message and when I did get hold of somebody, they lied about the company being in business (repeatedly) and they lied about the refund being sent when it was originally supposed to have been. They even sent me a confirmation email for the refund, then conveniently 'forgot' to process it!

Being very generous and ignoring the fact that Dealathons did not check out the company properly in the first place, their customer service is appalling. Give them a wide berth, there are better deal sites out there.

I had a $170 credit with dealathons which magically disappeared when nCrowd bought the company. According to nCrowd, they were never made aware of any credits and they were never passed on by dealthons.
I'm filling a complaint with the BBB. I'm not expecting to ever see my money again but these crooks needs to be taken down before they make away with more ppl's hard earned money. I believe the same ppl are now running deal's club or similar.

Very disappointed and angry about this.
