Transatlantic in-flight meal
During my flight from Detroit to Amsterdam DL136 on September 15th, I was served my requested gluten free evening meal. This was “average” to say the least. It did not taste very good, so l did not eat it all. For the later meal, breakfast before we arrived in Amsterdam, I was served a warm sandwich. The contents of the sandwich looked to be ketchup with 2 slices of either cucumber or zucchini. This was definitely inedible. After deplaning I headed for the rest room and vomited the evening meal.
I have travelled on Delta for many years and have never had food so bad.
Conversely, the food on the return flight DL137 was the best food I have ever been served on any airline.
Please can you look into this and let me know what corrective action you take.

On september 7 2022 Delta plain in Amsterdam was defected I and my wife got 4 hours later to KLM PLANE but to economy class not to comfort plus we paid already Delta customer service doesn t want to return our money back for comfort plus Also our luggage came from Amsterdamto ATL 3 days after Please help us get our money back

today Sept.23 I started the process on making a change on 2 tickets..One was to be a cancellation and one a name change. I felt due to this being a expensive international trip, I would be better secured with changes speaking to a representative directly. I explained I would need to be changing a name on ticket help by Dean Capello, and cancelling Joe Capello ticket.
The representative asked verification questions on sky miles account, totally understandable..I told her it would take just a few seconds to retrieve the needed info, as the representative was waiting for verification from me, she cancelled both Dean and Joes Tickets. I told her as I first mentioned I wanted to do a name change on Deans ticket..(yes it was a different name)
The representative told me she cancelled the tickets ,because I could not do a name change without rebooking the ticket which now had tripled in cost.
I quickly told her to leave Deans ticket as is ,and I would discuss and complete understanding what options were available.
Agent was caught off guard, said she had already cancelled both Joe and Dean ticket while waiting on completed information from me to authorize changes.
This becomes the initial now huge problem. Agent wanted to rebook Deans ticket at current rate, which I was shocked and disagreed . Finally,she said she would talk to someone who would help. After another 30 minutes on hold trying to retrieve Deans ticket, the agent came back and said the seat was not available...and the COMFORT seat was taken!
I know ranting is not encouraged, this is creating panic and tears, as this is a first time trip to Paris for my daughters college graduation. Dean ticket was reinstated (by wrong actions taken) yet now..were not together and the longest leg of the trip is in economy! we have worked hard, planned for months, this is heart wrenching. Please reply as quickly as possible, so I may make the necessary next decisions

The first part of the trip from RAP to SLC was great, until we landed. That was hard on both of us, we are in our 80's and we requested an electric motorized chair because my wife has health issues. That wasn’t available, just a pushcart she could sit in. Just for the record, I weigh 150, my wife is 120, add two bags, now we have 160, that’s not going to go well. We did not know the conditions of which we had to reach the terminal, if not for a young lady passenger that saw us struggle, we would not have made it up the ramp. I’m sure you folks knew of the conditions in SLC, you designed the process of reaching the terminal without considering age and those who have carryon baggage. We had both. From SLC we continued to PSC our destination.
On the return trip from PSC to MPLS we decided to check our baggage. We got to the gate a few minutes later and the agent said they were packed and needed passengers to check bags if possible, and it would be free. Had we known that we would not have paid $60.00 to check our bags. Why were we not told that there was an issue when checking our bags? Was glad we did, the distance from one terminal to the other was long, fortunately they did have an electric cart service with driver, for that I’m grateful.
Other than the issues I mentioned, the flights to and from each airport was pleasant, the flight attendants were accommodating, very professional and we arrived on time, each time. Thank you.

Yesterday, September 12, 2022, I received a message on my phone saying that this was a courtesy call regarding a small black case left near their baggage desk, with my name and number on it. I could come and retrieve this item from them.
I did go into the airport (Ted Stevens International Airport, Anchorage, Alaska) and went first to the check-in desk upstairs. One desk agent called upon anther desk agent who was directly in the know. She graciously escorted me downstairs to their baggage claim office and said, " I know you are not a customer of ours, but someone at United (adjacent to the Delta desks) gave this to us to deal with. We don't know how this ended up where it did, but here it is." She smiled. Delta could have thrown this small black case away or just ignored it, but they didn't. Maria didn't! I couldn't be more grateful, because it had no airlines markings on it, simply my name and number...Thanks, Maria and thanks Delta!
Desired outcome: All that was desired came to be.
Support for delta's app
On or about August 29, 2022 I tried to activate my account on your app in anticipation of a trip. I had forgotten my password and when I tried to reset it it listed a long defunct email address of mine.
When I tried to answer my security questions (the same ones that I use on many sites it would not accept the answers.
I tried to rectify the situation through your support number; I was on the phone with them through three agents and for at least ¾ of an hour. They were unable to help. At one point prior to speaking with the agents the site requested a copy of my passport which I provided.
I have not heard anything from Delta and I was unable to use the app during my recent trip which included a malfunctioning plane and a change of equipment in Las Vegas.

Travel from DTW
I checked into my flight at DTW around 6:30pm on 9/8/22. I had to check a bag and have a pet in cabin. I confirmed the size of my pet with an agent on the phone, the size of my carrier, etc. I also have flown with my pet in the exact same carrier multiple times. The ticket agent seemed like she wanted to be rude and make my life hard and threatened to not allow me to fly with my pet because she said he did not have enough room. The pet carrier zipped up, he has maneuvered and turned around before in the carrier, but still she threatened to keep me from my flight to CA. She said she would let me slide this time but proceeded to be rude the entire interaction. The ticketing area is right next to security but she insisted I carry him in the carrier for 50 feet, just to take him out again for security. She has zero customer service skills
Desired outcome: She should be reprimanded.
Extra charges for being detained overnight due to a delayed flight
My wife and I were detained in Salt Lake City UT. overnight because Delta delayed the flight from Spokane, WA. causing us to miss our connecting flight. We were charged an extra $50. by the motel we stayed at as well as the "meal" we paid dearly for (Hilton Garden Inn). Delta told us that motel bills would be paid for. It doesn't appear that they told the truth.

submitted complaint from July 23rd international flight from Bonaire and my 2 travel companions also did...Both have gotten responses back with 2 weeks of trip...I was told up to 30 days...which has past and still no response from Delta.

Flight Cancellation
My name is Sharon Butler, and I was scheduled to fly out of Newark to Atlanta on Aug. 4th, 2022, at 7:59 Flight #DL2611 for our Annual Elks Convention in Mobile, Alabama however after several hours of flight beinging delayed and over $70.00 in meals we are told the flight was cancelled. Now we got hundreds of people scrambling they gave us vouchers for room and ride none were honored. I end up paying $91.80 on my Debit card for an Uber to go the Hotel they referred me to only to be told the airlines over booked them. Now it's 2:AM and I'm 68 years old with high blood pressure and at this point I've had it. Now I have to pay to get back to the airport because you can't sleep in the hotel lobby, just to find out we can't go back to the gate at this time so now I sit in the most uncomfortable chairs for the next few hours which aggravated an old back injury to no end. Still no sleep and did you know after a certain hour the backrooms are closed (SMH) I never this only added to the stress of not sleeping. Now it's Friday and we are scheduled on an 11:15AM flight to Atlanta connecting to Florida the young lady at the gate 45B (Gladys) was so rude and never once had an inside voice she overtalked the customers that had questions about the flight because our tickets were not changed to reflect that flight, she even came onboard to approach a customer very unprofessional. Now they ask if we would check our carryon (sure) only to get to my destination without my carry on which had my blood pressure medicine and all my Dress Whites, further adding to the frustration. Now I've missed the Morning Breakfast the meet and greet dance and a couple more meetings. This was my first Elks Convention. I was pretty bumbed out tom say the least.

delta flight 869 25JUL22SEA 12 hour delay
The date was July 25 2022 .the flight was DL 869 from SeaTac.The flight was delayed 12 hours.We told every couple hours we would be boarding soon.We were up over 26 hours without sleep by the time we got home.We received snacks and small food credit at the airport. we also received 75 dollar credit for a future flight[e credit]. I consider that almost insulting for this nightmare. NO SLEEP FOR 26 HOURS. AND A WAIT FOR 12 HOURS AT THE AIRPORT. We have always used Delta Airlines for our air travel and the only people that handled it well were the gate attendants .I would request a more reasonable and fair credit.

Delta Airline rate was unfair and exorbitant for return flight between Newark, NJ and Raleigh, NC for purpose to attend father's funeral.
On August 9th I called Delta airlines to book round trip flights for myself and brother between Newark, NJ and Raleigh, NC. The trip was necessitated by the death of our father, and the funeral service was to be held on Saturday, August 13th. The Delta person booking the flight was courteous and provided a round trip "bereavement" rate of $427 leaving on Friday afternoon. I was thankful to get the flight scheduled.
In the midst of my grief and sadness, I did not get around to printing my ticket information until Thursday evening. As I went to do that I realized that in error the booking employee had us departing Newark on Saturday, August 13th instead of Friday August 12th as I had requested and understood the flight to be. This was not acceptable since we would have missed the funeral.
A frantic effort ensued to correct the error and get a flight leaving on Friday as requested. In the end, I was forced to choose between missing the funeral service, or paying an additional $500 per passenger to leave on Friday evening. We had no other options at this point and had to pay the additional $500 per person.
Desired outcome: No additional charge should have been incurred since it was not my fault. We went from a "bereavement" rate to an exorbitant rate of over $1,000 per person. Initial confirmation GYFVQX.

My son was booked for Aug 22, 2022 from LaGuardia to Atlanta to Bozeman.
LaGuardia flight held him in plane. No announcement. No help or interest in contacting Atlanta to Bozeman flight notifying him would be slightly delayed. Delta DOES NOT CARE.
Son was expected to pay for own hotel room in Atlanta that night.
We got him on flight to Salt Lake City that evening. He was not in first class as booked. WE ARE REQUESTING A FARE REFUND.
Additionally, he had to pay for a hotel in Salt Lake City. We are requesting a refund.
Desired outcome: Refund of fare difference from economy class seat vs first class to Salt Lake City.Compensation for hotel room in SLC. $183.25
Disappointment and great inconvenience due to inconsistent information provided through chat and ground staff
Recently, I went to India leaving on 7/27 and returning on 8/12 from St.Louis to Chennai and back. St.Louis to NY was to LaGuardia and I had to transfer from LaGuardia to JFK to catch my connecting Air France flight. Before I booked my flight I had a chat session with one of your representatives 'Jeric' on 5/23. My concern was transferring from LGA to JFK. Jeric assured me that the luggage can be checked all the way from STL to Chennai and it will also be automatically transferred from LGA to JFK en route to Chennai. Also, there will be some kind of shuttle arrangement for me and my wife to go from LGA/JFK by Delta/Air France.
Lo and behold, when I went on 7/27 to check my luggage at STL, the ground hostess informed that this will never happen and she has got 40 years experience and that I need to take out my luggage at LGA and personally take them to JFK. This came as a rude shock. My wife was a Parkinsons patient and I had requested wheelchair access all the way.
Needless to say the pain, disappointment and frustration that I had to go through in taking the luggage out at LGA and transport ourselves and 4 pieces of checked in luggage to JFK.
Information provided throughout should be consistent within the airline regardless of who or how the information is communicated.

Missed flight Gift Card
My wife and I missed our flight GPBJ2Z on Aug, 6th due to a Delta Plane problem. We were issued vouchers for gift cards but no one has been able to help us get those gift cards. We have spent hours on line with several different Delta representatives. No one can help we just get transferred to someone else that can't seem to help.
If these gift card were given to help off sent the inconvenience we suffered they are having the opposite effect!

Missing items from checked bag. Ticket #: [protected]
On my flight from BIL to SJC on August 2nd, several items were missing from my baggage. I have tried many times to get a representative but have been put in a "on-hold" loop. I have filed online but have yet to hear back. In fairness, there was a TSA "inspected the bag" slip in the bag so TSA could have stolen the items.
Desired outcome: Return of the items. If not that, compensation for the items ... although that will not be completely possible as a few of the items have sentimental value.
Cancelled flights 5 airports to get home
On June 26th we were supposed to have 6:05 am Comfort plus flight direct from Raleigh to arrive in Seattle 8:53 am. Our flight was cancelled. We spent all day in the airport waiting for the 7pm flight from Raleigh to Atlanta to Seattle. Again cancelled. We were put in a Microtel overnight. Back to the airport for 6am flight from Raleigh to Minneapolis to Salt Lake City to Seattle. We were put in the back of the plane and not sitting near each other on 2 of the flights and the 1st flight next to the bathroom. That's not Comfort Plus. We both missed a days wages and had to spend quite a bit of unplanned money on airport food. We had to pay our house and dog sitter for 2 extra days.
Delta says the maximum they can compensate us is the price difference for our comfort plus seats and a $200 travel voucher. This is unacceptable. At every airport we sat at waiting and waiting, every delta flight was offering passengers up to $1000 to take a later flight. What about those of us that were forced to take later flights, many of them, and lost a day of work? Do they really think I will want to fly with them agian?
Desired outcome: $1000 visa or voucher per ticket and a sincere apology. $200 is a slap in the face and total brush off.

Our family of 4 is scheduled to fly from PHX to Paris in December, Delta's partner Air France is handling the inbound and outbound service. On July 29 we received an email that our outbound flight had been cancelled and rebooked. When I checked we had been rebooked a full 24 hours earlier and now had a 36 layover in Seattle. It is completely unacceptable that anyone's day of return be changed when there are flight available the same day (there are I checked). So I called Delta, only to be told I had to wait TEN days before they can make the change. Stupid, but ok. Yesterday was day 10, I made the call and got the flight fixed, however it was not mentioned to me that I could not pick seating until check in, a situation that had not been present on our initial flight. In our case, as in many people's seating is not just a matter of comfort, we have a medical necessity. It's nothing too picky, we just need to know that we will fly 2/2 of 4 together. So, I called back. The gentleman was very helpful, gave me the Air France Confirmation number and guided me there and told me he had been able to pick seats so I should too. He then called me back and let me know I need to be ticketed. Great service. I paid out $46 pp for seats and I am happy to do so. Everything is good.
The next morning, I logged in to double check everything only to discover our outgoing flights had been changed! I did not receive ANY notification, they just changed it. So on the phone again, the agent I got after 30 minutes confirmed the flight was not cancelled and there were no notes why we were rebooked. I asked to be booked back and she had to forward me to International nd again I am on hold for ANOTHER 40 minutes.
This is incompetent. I now have $170 paid to Air France for seats we no longer have and will likely have to chase that down for a refund and pay AGAIN, and I have spent more hours than anyone should listening to this dreadful hold music because of a change that should not have been made. It's not Delta's place to decide I should spend hours of my own time dealing with their issues. Also I have spoken with some very nice people, and they deserve better than to be on the receiving end of someone else's mistakes.
Desired outcome: Find out WHY a flight was rebooked with no reason or notes and fix the issue. Reimburse me for the seats I purchased and lost on Air France
Lost Kolcraft Black and Grey Stroller
On July 6, 2022, returning home leaving Buffalo, New York to JFK Flight DL5749 to New Orelans, LA and we live in Baton Rouge. I have a tag# for carryon, likely for the Black bag [protected], this is not the stroller number but I am hoping the Flight number can help. It was 5 of us flying. They as if we wanted complimentary carryon and we were the only ones to say yes now we know why. The black bag was picked up by DL5852(Paul Thomas) in Washington, whom he informed Delta who called my daughter to let her know what happen and at the time we weren't thinking the stroller was lost until we arrived in NO, but thought it would-be with the black bag with all my husband medicine etc. in it. If we can get compensated for the stroller, it will be appreciated. I tired taking care in BR and it took two days to get it back, my daughter had to take off work to get and it was in BR as promised, but under Mr. Thomas name and I explained to them what has happen and that we didn't get the stroller. Need help.

Hard to endure for 8.5 hours without the entertainment system and without wifi.
Never told until we were on board. No chance to make any last minute arrangements for downloading movies on our own devices. Very hard to endure that. Contacting you was the flight attendant’s suggestion. We were given some small amount of Delta Sky miles but it was a fraction of what we had pay for FIRST CLASS. We did not Receive FIRST CLASS experiences. What compensation will you give us?
