Completly unprofeshional and every time I try to resolve an issue it's my fault
Completly unprofeshional and every time I try to resolve an issue it's my fault. Denton Floyd Real Estate Group is a total mess. They don't know what they're doing and they don't care about their customers. I've had so many problems with them and they never take responsibility. It's always my fault, according to them. It's frustraiting and I'm fed up with their attitude. I wouldn't recommend Denton Floyd to anyone. They're just a bunch of amateurs pretending to be professionals. Stay away!
When I try to call Denton Floyd Real Estate Group about issues, they never answer the phone for me
When I try to call Denton Floyd Real Estate Group about issues, they never answer the phone for me. However, when I call from a different number, they will pick up. I have lived in the Cornerstone Apartments for about 5 years now, and it has been the worst experience. The conditions of the apartment complex are absolutely terrible. Maintenance never comes to fix issues when needed. My apartment is in such bad shape. The closet doors have fallen apart, my stove barely works, there was mold in the ceiling of the laundry room, and my daughter has bad allergies. I've asked for new blinds and even offered to pay for them, but I still haven't received them. The apartment complex is always dirty, and a lot of people have gotten into the building without authorization. They sleep in the stairwells and use the bathroom there, which makes the complex smell so bad. One morning, I woke up to two people sleeping in front of my door with loaded guns. It was so scary, especially since I have children. I informed Denton Floyd about this, but there has been no resolution. It's so unsafe and makes me uncomfortable. Sometimes, I even hate coming home. Your home is supposed to be your happy place, right? Well, not here. The laundry room only has 2 washers and 3 dryers for 5 floors, and none of them work properly. They take your money but don't dry or clean your clothes well. Denton Floyd has been informed about this issue, but there has been no resolution. Additionally, I have failed my Section 8 inspection 3 times. They had plenty of time to fix the issues in my apartment, but they have yet to do so. My inspection was last year, and yet they say I owe all this rent. They even gave me an eviction notice when it wasn't my fault that Section 8 stopped their payments. They have taken extra money from me. I had to pay what Section 8 didn't cover, as well as late fees and a $250 reinstatement fee. All of this because Denton Floyd didn't fix what was needed in my apartment, and I'm being blamed for it. It's a horrible place to live, and I will never live anywhere that Denton Floyd is in charge of. They are very unprofessional and careless.

They came in as a new company
They came in as a new company. Water is never running or working! They have failed to open the pool and pool, which is included in the current lease. They raised everyone's rent and aren't fixing anything! Hallway carpet is foul and things never get completed! Nobody is ever in the office! It's a mess. I definitely would not recommend, and I am thinking of getting my lawyer involved. $1000 is nowhere near a good price for the things we're going through!
I paid an $860 deposit and always paid rent on time and in full
I paid an $860 deposit and always paid rent on time and in full. I've requested maintenance four times on 4/29, 5/2, 5/10, and 6/3. They keep saying it's not the plug and won't send a pro electrician to fix it. When I plug in an appliance, it shocks me and when I flip the breaker, there's a bright flash that's unsafe. It needs to be fixed. I spend too much on rent to not be able to use a simple dryer plug. All I want is for them to send a pro electrician to fix the electrical issues.
These guys overcharged me many times
These guys overcharged me many times. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, I had to move out because of some issues with the place and myself. I got scammed multiple times, and my lease agreement was incorrect. I lost hundreds of dollars due to this scam. I complained several times about the wrong and altered numbers, but the lady in charge and the entire company didn't bother to meet with me during the pandemic. My family had to move out, and I have some health problems that I informed them about, but they harassed me multiple times. Now, since August, I am currently homeless along with my partner. These people are not trustworthy.

I moved into this apartment on August 14th
I moved into this apartment on August 14th. Later that night, I started finding roaches in the hallways and inside my apartment. I called the landlord and told them about it, and she said there have been a lot of people moving out because of the bugs. I didn't know about this before. Now, I still see roaches and I asked to be moved to a different apartment. The landlord said there's nothing available until November , which is a problem. I paid a $1,000 deposit to secure a nice, clean apartment, and I didn't expect to be in this situation. I haven't even been able to sleep well in this apartment. Every day, I have to kill numerous bugs. I asked if I could end my lease early, but the manager told me I would have to pay $2,000 plus two months of rent. I think this is unfair because I haven't even been here for a month yet. I don't have that kind of money. Please help me.
I signed a lease at Lexington Villas two days ago and it has been a terrible experience
I signed a lease at Lexington Villas two days ago and it has been a terrible experience. The apartment I rented is full of problems. There are roaches everywhere, even inside the refrigerator with roach eggs. The sinks have brown water, some fixtures are barely attached, and the toilet doesn't work, with purple cleaner poured into it. I asked for a different unit or for the appliances to be replaced, but the person in charge just apologizes and claims it was deep cleaned, which is clearly a lie based on the videos and photos I have. Now, they are ignoring my emails and phone calls. It's not fair to be treated like this, to have to live in such conditions, or to deal with unprofessional staff from Denton Floyd Real Estate. They took $835 for the security deposit and $801 for the first month's rent.
I had an emergency maintenance request for my air conditioner unit on August 7th, 2022 because it stopped working
I had an emergency maintenance request for my air conditioner unit on August 7th, 2022 because it stopped working. I live on the 3rd floor where it was extremely hot, over 100 degrees, and there was no air. They said someone would come to fix it on the morning of August 8th, 2022. But nobody came and my calls to the apartment complex and the real estate group were ignored. Finally, when we got in touch, they said they had ordered a new one and would fix it when it arrived. That was the week of August 8th-12th. Since then, they haven't returned my calls and they don't answer the door when I go to the office. I had to buy a window unit to make the apartment livable. Rent was due on September 1st, but on August 25th, I left a note saying the rent was in a separate bank account and would be paid once the repair was done. I still haven't heard anything from them. It's important to note that the broken unit is also my only source of heat in the apartment, so it will be unlivable when winter comes.
I'm a tenant at *** in St
I'm a tenant at *** in St. Matthews Kentucky. We found out there was a gas leak in our building and the service got turned off on 8/15/2022. They told us about the leak on 8/16/2022, a day after they found it and turned off the service. On 8/17/2022, a plumber said our hot water should be back by the end of the week. But on 8/24/2022, they said repairs hadn't started and they didn't know when the service would be restored. We went without hot water for two weeks until management finally told us on 8/29/2022 that repairs started that same day. They said it would take about 15 business days to finish the repairs and hot water "might" be back by 9/16. That's a total of 5 weeks without hot water. We met with management in person on 8/30/2022 and the only thing they offered was a 35% discount on our September rent. They also said there were so many leaks in many apartments that they couldn't tell us if there was a leak in our apartment or if it could have affected our health. They didn't give us any other options for getting hot water, even though Kentucky law (KRS § 383.595) says landlords have to provide reasonable amounts of hot water all the time. I've included copies of the notices we got from management on 8/16/2022, 8/24/2022, and 8/29/2022 in the uploaded documents.
I'm renting an apartment through Denton Floyd Real Estate Group and my ceiling collapsed in my living room
I'm renting an apartment through Denton Floyd Real Estate Group and my ceiling collapsed in my living room. All I wanted was for it to be fixed and I was going to move on. They said they'll be back tomorrow. Tomorrow came and went and now not only are my feelings hurt but I still have a big hole in my ceiling, possibly from water damage. My hole won't be fixed until the roofers fix the roof. This is unacceptable for me. Basically, there's a way to get into the roof through the outside hallway that everyone has access to. All someone has to do is crawl through that, then crawl to the hole, and they're in my apartment. I'm not behind on anything and nobody should have to live like this because honestly they would take care of it if it happened to them. To satisfy me, they can fix it. I am accountable and have to hold up my end, but they aren't holding up theirs. Thank you and have a wonderful day. They have until Monday to fix it or I'm going to make a decision to vacate the premises and fight out of my lease because it's a safety hazard since I have a hole with insulation and everything else, and it's a safety issue because any person has access to my apartment without a lock. *** I have to say though, the lady I emailed at the apartment is answering my emails and getting back with me, and maybe she is doing everything she can. I'm not disputing that. I just can't go to work without worrying about my things or my property. They're saying the right stuff, but when I miss out on work, I get a little crabby, especially in these times.
Communication is practically nonexistent here and extremely unhelpful if you do manage to receive a response
Communication is practically nonexistent here and extremely unhelpful if you do manage to receive a response. I filled out an application at Lexington Villas in early May 2022, requesting a move-in date of May 17th on the application. I called and emailed for several weeks without ever receiving a phone answer. When I finally did get a response, they accepted the application but had not established a move-in date because the unit they selected for us was going through an eviction, according to a gentleman in the office. He said he would consult someone in assets to determine a timeframe and call me back, but he never did. Finally, on June 21st, 2022, I managed to get someone named *** to answer the phone. She informed me that the application had been accepted, but they wouldn't have an available unit for another two weeks. This is unacceptable considering we applied in early May. To make matters worse, I discovered that the co-signer hadn't even been applied to the application. I was then told that, despite paying an application fee and an apartment holding fee online, she wouldn't allow the security deposit to be paid online. Another property under the same management company does allow this, so her claim that it's against company policy is inaccurate. I called the corporate office in Indiana today to confirm this. I also requested a call from the regional manager (***) at 2 pm on June 23rd, 2022, but as of 5:22 pm on June 24th, 2022, I still haven't received that call. I tried calling the property twice on June 24th, 2022, but there was no answer. I explained that this is for ***, one of whom is a student living in student housing, and their lease is up on June 30th, 2022, yet there's still no resolution. She did mention that they had an available apartment, but I'm still waiting for a call from the regional manager who I hoped would at least accommodate me by allowing me to make the security deposit payment on their rent cafe portal and specify the move-in day. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
I'm writing this letter about Eastland Apartments in Lexington Kentucky
I'm writing this letter about Eastland Apartments in Lexington Kentucky. I moved here from Norfolk Virginia for a government job. Since I was out of state, I had to secure an apartment without seeing it first. The ad said it was a freshly renovated apartment with updates. I arrived on 1/28/2022 to start my job on 1/31/22. I had several emails with the Property Manager confirming the availability and readiness of the unit. On the day of the move-in, I called and told her when I would arrive and that I had my family and belongings with me. When I got to the complex, she said they were still installing new carpet. The building was dirty with overflowing dumpsters and trash everywhere. The apartment was filthy and workers were rushing to fix it. I had already hired movers who charge by the hour. Management said they could have the unit ready in an hour, but I said that was unacceptable due to the cost. When we finally got into the unit, I saw the worst roach infestation I've ever seen. Roaches were coming out of the oven, stove top, and vents. The whole unit was crawling with roaches. The back patio door was broken and had no lock, so we had to find a stick for security. The bathroom was disgusting, with roaches crawling around and a sink warped from water damage. The bathtub was peeling and there was cheap spackling smeared everywhere. I had to buy roach spray and put my family in a hotel to keep them safe from the fumes. We moved out after 3 weeks. Moving out of state and relocating twice in a month is expensive. I lost all my belongings and should be compensated.
