Not worth the effort and money
Just a warning to all to stay far away from Dotsure pet insurance as you will hear allot of promises when purchasing the policy. But when the time comes for a claim the disappointment and unprofessionalism start. Even if you opt for a one of the highest coverages plans you will still find that very little if anything is covered by the policy, The policy is basically only for sudden unforseen illnesses and then only up to a small amount. So in layman's terms their policies are not worth the paper it is written on. They seem to be only any good at making adverts and wonder if the actors in the adverts even know what they are representing. So if you want piece of mind rather save the monthly premiums separately and you will have much more funds available for unforseen circumstances then these bunch will ever cover. My advise stay far away from them.
An Update:
Today I was contacted by one of the Dotsure consultants and who actually insulted me by telling me that "I" opted for a lower coverage plan? Well luckily I also record all my office calls and listened to the call of when I took out the policy and definitely did opt for a higher plan. For a Dotsure consultant to just irresponsibly verbalizing a comment like that without listening to the recoding him self just show how arrogant Dotsure are in the one-sided insurance contract they sell. So I will repeat my self My advise stay far away from them as if you look at Dotsure's stats on Complaintsboard.com they have a 0% complaint resolution rate, on Trustpilot Dotsure have a 2.8 out of five score on Hello Peter you will find the same or similar style of writing in their reviews which is a clear indication of self reviews and that is pretty much the worst and most dishonest insurance supplier you can ever get. I really wish I knew this before I trusted them with my furbabie's health as Dotsure is as evasive in their responsibilities as they come.

They Debited my Account without me accepting the reinstatement of my policy.They supposedly reccord all calls but cannot come back to me.The agent there Angie Funani says I must prove to them with Bank statements which include my private information to see if they have my funds. They debited on the 10th and will look into the Refund on the 17th and if all ok it will take 2 to 3 days to be refunded.Its all Fraud

My name is Mduduzi Mathenjwa, I have car insurance with dotsure, my car broke down and I wanted them to tow it to mechanic, they said I am not covered for towing yet when you take insurance they say I am covered for 24 hours road side assistance but now I am told they can only cover towing if I’m in an accident, I am just asking them to tow not to fix my car , they are scam
Extendes motor warranty
Dotsure is very quick to take your money but when you want to claim after almost 2 years with them they had alot of excuses? We had to pay R10k out of our pocket for damages to my car. We could've just taken the monthly payment and place it in an account knowing we will be sorted. I also wanted to take out oet insurance with them but now would rather go with someone else. Pathetic!

No sense of urgency or returning my calls
I was in a car accident on in January. Dotsure was very quick in their initial response but 2 weeks after the accident, I was then told that the car is a write-off. There were no airbags that popped, no serious mechanical damages and mostly the right front side of the car that were damaged.
The car was towed purely because the fender was scraping on the wheels, otherwise the car was in a perfectly drivable state. The car was towed to Springs. Since the beginning of February I have tried to get information out of Dotsure, i.e. to give me a full quote and breakdown from the panel beater on how they got to the amount of the damages and the ruling that the car I deemed a write-off. After a week of me having to chase Dotsure to give me this information, the assessor called me and only the next day I then received the cost breakdown. I then went to another panel beater who fixed my vehicle last year when I had an attempted high jacking, which Dotsure approved. This panel beater looked at the cost breakdown of the damages and gave me an alternative quote for more than 50% less.
I cannot reach anybody at Dotusre, they do not return my calls, do not respond to my emails and have a complete lack of urgency to help me to approve the new quote so I can get the car fixed. My car has not been standing on the lot in Springs for over 3 weeks and my livelihood depends on me having my car, yet there is a complete lack of respect demonstrated by Dotsure for the urgency on this matter. I keep getting promises somebody will call me and they do not. The assessor also does not seem to have any sense of urgency on my case whatsoever and also demonstrated quite an attitude of superiority instead of flexibility to work with me.
Desired outcome: I want the qoute approved, paid out to my panel beater with immediate effect
They kept asking for the same thing again and again ,i did not get help in time.
When i call they kept saying they'll get back to me but they didnt.
They dont respond to my calls and emails.
Bad service
Dotsure consultant never went deeper in explaining about their products or a cover to me.they asked about home content value and I told them even went as far as telling her I have expensive items at home,automatically she must know which cover is right for me. Now I’m claiming and the claim value is over 45000 and they wanna give me 9500 to replace. How will I move forward will 9500 when it won’t even replace one of my item. Telling me about the cover I took , the consultant should know her and explain to people specially as I have stated that I have expensive items. So how will we refer people to dotsure if they don’t take us serious.

Dotsure written off vehicle policy secrets
On the 27 th Nov 2022 I had a car accident (single vehicle)
My claim was registered and my vehicle (albeit) had a good knock on the side was not a "write off" as we "the people" would deem it. They decided to offer me "cash in lieu" payment, ie value amount insured for prior to accident minus the damages of 35% They said my claim was "approved". When I read what my conditions were to receive my pay out, they basically wanted me to sign over my vehicle and courier them every single ORIGINAL car paper along with putting car in their name for this money.
I had to repair my car "Manufacturing Standard Level" What does this mean? Which agency decides this? Basically like really new which is impossible
They were not going to do fixing like that anyway. I feel like they conned me out of my vehicle or to cancel claim. Mr Zukisani Lawana was friendly and deceiving, Sonja de Buys had me send documents and only after receiving them explained what they now had authority to do over my claim. They traumatized me again after having a car accident. PLEASE DONT SIGN WITH THEM!
Im waitng for a payout from my warranty and so far it's a disaster getting dot sure to give me feedback. Im certain they will not have me as a client after this.

Pet insurance
I have been a client of Petsure which was bought out by Dotsure, for 11 years.
I have had to accept that dont cover my dog's chronic medication, which petsure did.
Now that my little boy has turned 11 they have loaded my policy by 40% which is way above my budget. I am a pensioner, although I do work.
I am going to be forced to lower my cover or cancel completely.
I think this is shocking to say the least. Having taken over Petsure they should have at least continued with the cover I had with Petsure who were brilliant in every way
I cannot believe that there are vets who endorse Dotsure Pet insurance in the TV adverts.
My car insurance
I join this insurance on the 2022-10-03 when i bought my new car they promise empty promises they told me that their car track device is free.They will come and install for free.They promise to deduct R920 for car insurance.
Today they deducted R921.13 +R205+R194+R133+R205+R156.

Incorrect amount deduction for my warranty coverr
I am not happy with warranty department for repeatedly presenting an incorrect amount to my bank,I have had several conversations with Natani from that department about my warranty cover but it's seems the problem remains unresolved and as a result I don't have cover and also incurred bank charges from my bank which has an impact on the credit policy:OAK1089296

I sent invoice for remburse, they confirmed receipt of documents but is over 24hrs with no response and had phoned more than 5x and everytime im told Caylin and assessor are busy😡😡😡

Good day, I have asked numerous times for someone to call me, every time I call, they just say someone will call you back. The amount that was payout to pay damages to my car, with a accident that was not my fault is not even enough to put a deposit down to get my car fixed. Dotsure's lack of service and unwillingness to pay claims
On submission of claims this year (if which there have been 5) - Dotsure follows up with a call every time. That's at least five calls. They ask me every time for my bank details. They ask every time for documents I have already submitted - which is just a delay tactic. They say the matter is resolved and payment will be made. And then they cancel my claims! I'm not notified of the cancellation and I am not provided with reasons for the claims cancellation.

Please can I have the shortfall put into my account as I am not going to let this. When i spoke to you you said i must go through the policy wording and i sent it to you showing gears were covered, original invoice attached where it show a list of parts that needed to be changed.

Car insurance/ windscreen claim
Good day
My problem is twofold with Dotsure, I recently found out that Dotsure is not paying tracker and I am being debited from my account which is a nightmare. Tracker has also handed my account over to some debit collecting firm which is unprofessional on both Dotsure and Tracker, I have been paying dotsure and was assured they would pay the tracker which they installed unfortunately this was not done. Second issue is that I have a claim for a windscreen which a stone hit on the 5th November 2021 which is the first week of November 2021 on the 13th November 2021 I noticed that the windscreen had a crack across from passenger to driver side. On the 16th November 2021 I put through a claim and spoke to Jonelle Jooste, on the 17th November 2021 I was advise my claim will not be approved because of the time frame from chip on windscreen to the crack, this was never highlighted on me signing up that there is a time frame for claims and I feel that Dotsure is trying not pay claims.
Maintenance Plan
I called them morning regarding the above policy claim on the car service. The person that I spoke to promised to get management to call and that was at 9:14 but I haven't been contacted yet. Now 12:34
I took a service plan with Dotsure and they sold it to Warranty Solutions. At 122 000km I paid for the car service and this meant that the next service is due after 15 000km (137 000km), or when the vehicle is due for service as per manufacturer service schedule, whichever comes first. Manufacturer schedule is prompted by the vehicle's computer and it can be at 3 000km but the vehicle must be serviced.
Warranty Solutions have just turned down my service claim, stating that the vehicle must reach 137 000km even after the manufacturer explained to them.
Warranty Solutions is dotsure's client/service provider and I had done business with dotsure and I am paying them. Most of all, I want my vehicle serviced. I have been paying for this since December 2020 and not one service has been done because they made me do the first service.
Desired outcome: Issue the service authorization ASAP. It's going to negatively affect my vehicle warranty cover. Get your staff to understand how service schedules work.
