Completely unacceptable service from DPD.
On Tuesday, I was caught completely off guard when I received a message at 13:10 saying:
“We will deliver your parcel today between 13:35 and 14:35. Your driver …….. will need to see photo ID!”
That was just 25 minutes’ notice, and since I was at work, I had no chance of receiving the parcel. I hadn’t even been informed in advance that it would be arriving that day!
Since I learned from this, I took a holiday today to make sure I would be home for the redelivery. Despite this, one moment I was at home, and the next, I received a message saying the delivery had failed.
I immediately contacted them to say I was home and needed my parcel, but they refused to come back, even though the driver was likely still on my street.
Now, I have no choice but to take another holiday tomorrow just to finally receive my parcel. For a £84 postage fee, this is absolutely unacceptable. DPD’s communication and basic service are shocking. Extremely disappointed!
I’ve got new update. Day 3 of the drama!
I’ve been contacted by a shift manager. Absolutely lovely helpful person. Organised a next day deliver. Trying to do in a same time slot. Obviously they never came so I contacted him and I informed him I will be away for 3,5hours. He managed to organise a driver for me promised a 6:30is delivery time. He was extremely helpful. However, guess what?
Despite all this, no one ever showed up today, and I’ve been left waiting yet again. The lack of communication, failed promises, and disregard for customers’ time is shocking! So contacted the customer service and they let me know my parcels is still being held at the depot! And is not going to be delivered today either!
No words!
