testers. no light base - footprint on environment
TO: DULUX
For the past month both stores in Paphos, Cyprus do not offer a tester size so I have to buy a litre size. They both say they have no 'light base'. One colour which I need to dab a wall is only available in 2.5 litre. I have made a complaint but they say they don't know when it will be coming in.
In the meantime I have paints I don't need. I via yourselves am overloading the environment (listen to Attenboroughs talk on living within our means). Please send light base to Cyprus, paphos. Please ask them to be more organised.
one coat matt emulsion
Hi, I bought your one coat emulsion to decorate my hallway and as promised it covered the walls I was painting in one coat! Result! Or so I thought. When it came to being durable we have experienced issues. Literally 2 days after having completed the job my children touched the wall depositing dirt on it. When I tried to wipe it off the paint came away too. This paintwork has continued to mark incredibly easily and even after being on the walls for a month still wipes away after even the gentlest of touches with a cloth. Now the entire hallway is goin to have to be repainted at the time and expense of ourselves. I feel this paint should have a clear note displayed on it to state it isn't wipeable to avoid anyone else having the same experience as us.
dulux easycare bathroom paint
I've always used Dulux Kitchen and Bathroom paints. So when I decided to freshen up my bathroom walls, dulux was my 1st choice. I gave the walls 2 coats of easycare bathroom paint only for the walls to run with condensation when the shower is used. This is not something I expected and feel as though I've wasted my time and money. I would appreciate your help.
dulux easycare paint
Hello,
I bought ‘polished pebble' paint recently from b and q. But I am very very unhappy with the end result- it makes the room look pale blue/ grey! The colour doesn't look anything like it does on the packaging! I even undercoated to make sure the end result would look really good. Sadly I had to go out and buy another colour ASAP as this colour was really really blue!
Could it be the batch?
Am I able to return this product to you please? I've wasted money on a product I am very unhappy about.
dulux once satinwood gloss
This product took over 70 hours to dry. Everything was done according to instructions, aerating etc, but it would not dry. Hence to say it was impossible to keep dust and dirt free on not to touch in a high traffic area. Even after 14 days there were tacky bits. It looks terrible and needs further coats, which we will never do for fear of repeating the same. A lot of effort for poor results. At minimum would like to return the rest of the paint and get a refund. Can send photos if needed
once pure brilliant white gloss
Paint was purchased from local B and Q store on the 9/3/2019. Paint was applied by brush to both primed and unprimed skirting board on the 13/3/2019 prior to new carpet being laid. It states on the tin it takes 16 hours to dry. It was applied in ideal conditions, the room being warm, dry and well ventilated. It is now some 72 hours after application, only just dry. As a result, as the carpet had to be laid after 48hours, the finish is now ruined and will have to be repainted. Why does it take so long to dry?
dulux quick dry satinwood paint (mid sheen) pure brilliant white
I have recently painted the skirting boards and window frame in my bedroom using this paint and am extremely disappointed with the results.
After applying the first coat, I noticed highly visible brush marks. I am experienced in painting and have not had this problem before.
I always prepare the surface well and use good quality brushes. Thinking the brush marks might not show after application of the 2nd coat,
I persevered with the painting. Unfortunately the brush marks are still very visible and give the wood a streaky appearance which looks very unprofessional. I have used many dulux paints in the past without any issues.
I feel I have wasted my time and money painting with a product which does not give satisfactory results .
I will now need to purchase an alternative paint and spend more time sanding down and repainting the woodwork to get the finish I desire.
I expect to receive compensation for the issues I have had using this paint.

dulux bathroom paint - misty mirror
I purchase the above paint from b&q last week, I yesterday opened and painted my bathroom with it and am rather unhappy with the result. On opening the tin it was not the colour advertised and is lilac. As you can see by the pictures attached this is not a true reflection of the colour advertised and I have had to purchase a new colour and start painting again.
kitchen paint
I recently purchased a 2.5 litre of kitchen paint (frosted steel) this was purchased from on line at Wilkinson on the 18th Feb. I have applied 2 coats to my kitchen walls and I'm not happy as it looks lilac colour and nothing like what is shown on the tin. My kitchen look awful and not impressed. I put a lot of effort into this and friends and family saying it looks blue or lilac. Your paint is not the cheapest as I wanted best results but this is a false colour to me.
dulux silk polished pebble
I've used your paint for decades now with no issues. A year ago we renovated our new home and used polished pebble in the downstairs areas and up the stairs. I've opened a new tin from last year to touch up around the shirting and it's much lighter and stands out. I'm so annoyed, does this mean I have to by more paint and repaint all the rooms? Plus I don't actully like this shade as it seeema more white ish than grey. I'm extremely annoyed. I enclose some photos but not sure if they are very clear
dulux 5l white matt emulsion
This paint is so thin like liquid, drips everywhere, tried stirring it and still not thickened up at all paid £15.99 at B&M, does this paint go off if it has been in the retail shop for months cause I'm thinking that is what has happened, I have been told it Can go out of date not happy at all and as I have open it the store will not take it back, for a refund so what do I do now? Thankyou. Claire
tester pots
We bought a tester pot of polished pebble, loved the colour so bought 5 litres, we spent all last night painting the edges of the room, when it's dried the colour is no where near the match pot colour it's so much darker. We were careful to paint on the same walls as light can change the colour but it's so disappointing the difference, now we have got to go and find more paint, I really feel more effort should be made to make sure match pots are as near as possible to the full size tins as it's now cost us money and a lot of time to rectify.
dulux brilliant white soft sheen paint.
I've bought and used Dulux paint over the years, numerous times. I bought a tin of Dulux brilliant white soft sheen paint, to refresh my bathroom wall.
The wall had an off white emulsion paint, painted directly on to the plastered wall. I cleaned and prepared the surface as I've always meticulously done.
It's taken 8 coats of this paint to get it to a satisfactory state. This is the thinnest, watery paint I've ever used, so thin it's very messy to work with. The finish is very poor, streaky and patchy too.
I'm very sad to say that I've lost my trust in a brand I'd previously recommended.
More so, sad that a company would be willing to sell such a poor product.
easycare, frosted steel kitchen/bathroom paint
Hi, just purchased 2.5 le from b&q. For my internal kitchen wall which was previous painted in dulux matt paint. Light sanded the wall, on applying the new paint with a small roller and overlapping to blend in where I have just previously painted that paint is being lifted off back to the original colour as shown in my photos. Is their any reason for this to happen?

matt emulsion, chic shadow - poor quality and different to tester roller pot.
We bought a 5l tin of Chic Shadow after liking the colour of the tester. We applied two coats and obviously cut in both times but the paint did not blend in properly! The coverage was not consistent when applied with a roller and patchy in places. We also bought Warm Pewter for some of the walls which was supposedly a darker shade of grey but there's really no difference between them when out of the tin compared with the testers! This was also patchy when dry. Very disappointed and never had an issue with dulux in the past, was this a bad batch? Not sure what to do now as it will mean buying yet another tin to do another coat and is it going to be any better?
wrong colour paint when dry compared to colour on tin.
Bought a large tin 5l of chic shadow from your ashton store a week ago but yesterday after giving the wall a good coat of white base coat l was shocked to say the least that when it had dryed it was more a pale blue.. Lve always used your make of paint for years and cant understand why this is nowhere near the colour it should have been.. Thank you. Yours sincerely mr f roberts
sapphire salute paint
painted walls in well know pub in sapphire salute matt all looked good till i got a call saying it all got white marks on it so add a look and you just move your finger on it gos white so had to sort it out so redone it in easy care and it just done the same what crap paint it is paid for to lots of paint and done job twice and ended up doing it for note wont buy that paint againe been painting for 35 years never come across that ever crap paint
Same story here and lots of similar complaints on Amazon reviews all saying the same thing. Spoke to Dulux today who fobbed me off saying it’s “marring” and that I should have painted walls in Dulux Trade Diamond Eggshell - totally different finish and colour, of course... have pointed out that it’s not really fair to sell this paint as having their special Chromalock feature when all it takes is a fingertip run along the wall to leave big scuff marks. They don’t seem to care though. Con artists in my book and definitely won’t be using their products again!
white gloss paint yellowing
My name is Gary Ridgard and I've been decorating 37 years, I've always liked using your oil based gloss and eggshell paint but I've just done a job 5 weeks ago which involved putting one coat of gloss on all woodwork, so I chose the once range of paint which obviously I've used plenty of times with no problems, unfortunately the customer rang me and complained about it discolouring so I called to see her and I can't believe how yellow it's turned in just 5 weeks.
I now have to do it all again and I'm wondering if you compensate me for my time as I think there must have been a problem with that batch of paint.
Regards G Ridgard
