Once satinwood paint
I have repainted my whole living/dining/kitchen with Dulux paints with no trouble until I attempted the skirtings etc with Once Satinwood. This paint is far too runny for the job and one coat is not sufficient. It is a premium priced product and is not worth the money. I have had trouble with runs and when I reached above my head to paint the woodwork above the door the paint ran down the brush and onto my hand.
This paint has caused me so much frustration I have just given up. Please refund the cost of this paint, receipt attached. I think you should also withdraw it from sale as it is not worthy of your name.
Desired outcome: Refund
Easycare kitchen washable paint
I've put on 3 coats of washable easycare dulux kitchen paint. First wipe with soft wet cloth to vlean off a dirty mark and the paint has come off and I can see previous colour!
Thank God it's only a small bit and I have some spare in the cupboard. But why has it come off? I bought this as recommended by staff as washable.

All these colours I mentioned above didn't turn as it should suppose to. All shades of grey turned out as an ugly blue and purple! I am very very unhappy with the outcome of the Dulux paint colour and feel I should get refunded. I Am very very disappointed As I had to pay for the labour As well.
Complaint about product quantity
Hi
I am buying dulux paints from last 2 months for my new house paint work.. Today I was shocked to see.. When my painter was opening the pu white mat 4 liter packing.. And luckily I was standing their and watching... And it was shocking to see the quantiy in 4 liter pack.. Its was looking less than 3 liter... And even the hardener bottles having 165 mlt written on the bottles have half of the bottles filled... Very shocking... If a brand like dulux have this kind of quantity standards... Then I am sorry... There is something wrong with company ethics... I am attaching the photos of the 4 boxs opened in my presence.. And out of 4 box opened..3 boxs showed less quantity.. Less than 3 liters..

Texture paint
Good morning
On Sun May 17th, we decided to Texture paint some old rendering in our front yard.
It had been patched months ago so was thoroughly dry.We painted 1 coat of Dulux primer then 2 coats of Dulux Medium texture paint with 4 hours in between as directed on the container. It was complete on Monday May 18th.The finish was amazing and we were so happy with it.
We have woken up this morning after rain overnight (Thursday May 21st) and the paint looks like it has slumped in some spots, it looks like it has washed off in other spots so you can actually see the primer, it looks streaky and overall we are so disappointed. It looks like the product hasn't dried. As you would realise, we have spent a considerable amount on this project. Can you please give us some idea of where we have gone wrong and how we can remedy this problem.
Regards Lyndell & David Wright.
silk emulsion - colour timeless
Hello there
We are writing to express our dissatisfaction with our purchase from B&Q of 5 litres of Dulux Silk Emulsion. Colour TIMELESS. We have used this exact paint before to paint our hall, stairs and landing with no problems. This time we decided to use the same paint extending into our dining room and study. We found when using the roller it splashed and splattered everywhere! All the stained timber skirting boards became speckled with small white dots. We can only think we were just unlucky on this occasion and the paint consistency just wasn't right. Please note we followed all the application details correctly.
We would welcome your comments and any help you can give?
Thank you,
Rob & Sally Gill

I have purchased a 2.5L tin of Dulux emulsion from b&q kidderminster. As the paint was dulux i thought i was buying the best product. The color is Timeless & it says on the tin that you may need two coats. I have now applied 3 & it has still not covered, I have tried both a roller & a brush to no avail. I fact the paint seems translucent. The color i am covering is sky blue. What is wrong with your paint as it seems that the quality has dropped. It has proved to be time consuming & i think you should reimburse me the full cost of paint, plus take account of my waisted time

paint - matt emulsion
I have recently used two if your paints. I applied them in August in adjacent rooms: kitchen and dining room. In both cases I have attempted to cove up marks by repainting in each case the mark has not been covered up and shows through. In addition there are what look like water marks at the junction between the ceiling and wall. Again I have painted over this and again the 'water marks' show through. I have always used Dulux before and never had this problem. I used goose down in the dining room and olive in the kitchen.
dulux light + space matt emulsion for ceiling and walls
I am Decorator of 50 years trading as Ace Decorators. I have used Dulux Light + Space matt emulsion for the first time in my current job. I have prepared all the walls, made good where necessary, applied trade matt mist coat for a sound base thinking 2 full coats of Dulux Light + Space matt emulsion would do a great job. The paint is rubbish, you can see through it. I said to my customer I am not happy with the finish, I will have to buy another 2 1/2 litres of Dulux Light + Space matt emulsion to apply in total 4 coats. This product is not a trade paint to take 4 coats of emulsion to get a finished job. The property I am working on is an 18 year old property, a new build.
The cost of my time and purchase of the further paint is £55.00 and I would like this refunded to me.
173 brighton road, jacobs, 4052
I bought in total 4 dulux weatherg mohawk valley 20L and 2 dulux roofacry grecian grey 20L from 173 brighton road, jacobs, this was on the 25 August 2018 and the walls have started flaking im furious because I spent so much on the painting process thinking dulux was the best quality. I would like someone to come and sort this out because if I wanted paint to only last me a year I would've bought cheap paint instead I went for something I thought was quality. Im highly disappointed. My contact number is [protected]- Thobile

dulux cannon ball paint
I bought this paint in matt & eggshell for the wood work so not cheap! The sample square was a dark blue grey, which is just what I wanted. I started to paint one wall, I thought it looked a bit green but thought it would look better after a couple of coats. I waited until the next day and it is khaki, not at all the colour of the sample. I returned it to homebase in Basingstoke where I bought it but they said I had to contact you directly. I have hardly used any of the matt and none of the eggshell & had to buy more paint.
Hi, I am really sorry to hear of your colour issue. Can you please call the Advice Centre on [protected] or advise the best telephone number to contact you on. Many thanks
dulux walls & ceilings - warm pewter
We brought a 2.5 litre of the above paint, my husband is using it on walls in our lounge, but as he is cutting in the paint is leaving a marble effect & when he goes over it again the paint comes off the wall. We always thought that Dulux was the best paint on the market but we have since changed our minds
Look forward to your response

dulux once satinwood brilliant white
As a former ICI Paints employee (Slough offices) I have always been loyal to the Dulux brand of paint. I recently purchased Once Satinwood Brilliant White in 2.5L as I wanted a one-coat option to cover previously painted light coloured woodwork in my hall, stairwell and landing. However, the paint in the can didn't have the usual feel of Once paint used previously and was very liquid and not easy to apply. Coverage was certainly not one coat, but more importantly it has dried to a high gloss, not satinwood (please see the attached photo). My concern is that the wrong paint has been filled into the tin and this might then be true for the whole batch. I hope there are no problems at the new plant. I have now bought quick dry satinwood but need to repaint what I have done so far and hope this resolves the problem. Can I get a refund on this paint please, and advice on how to prepare this paintwork for covering with the new paint that I have had to buy. Regards,
Keith Webb, Slough
dulux chic shadow matt emulsion
Used 2 different 5litre tubs of this paint purchased from same shop within a week, mixed well both times, applied using same roller/brushes. Have left it 24 hours to dry and it's not even the same colour! So I'm going to have to repaint the whole room, such a waste of time and money. I didn't expect this of a top brand paint, I'd like to know why this has happened please?
poor paint quality
I purchased a can of Dulux Quick Dry water based paint and after two coats with the regulation 6hrs drying time between coats the finish is very poor. It states on the tin that it is a high gloss finish, which is far from the truth. Over approx. 6o years I have always used Dulux paint but if this is the current standard of your paint I will not be using it again. It lacks sheen, it leaves brush marks which will not brush out and it is just not fit for purpose.

Dear Dulux Customer Service,
This is in reference to a recent experience in store for purchase of internal and external paint for decorating my house. We are local to Greenford Dulux Trade Centre and generally use this as we have small property management business.
Till date, I use to highly regard the Dulux brand. However, my recent experience has change my opinion about the brand. I went instore to test few colours for internal and external according to the house interior concept. I spend money on few testers for internal colour and then eventually got frustrated and went for Pure Brilliant White Diamond for internal use.
We then started spending more money on tester pots to buy external colour. We finally liked one colour and when we went to purchase this instore. The store representative said the colour was not available in Weathershield. She than did a colour match through system and said the closest to the cotton thread is Ivory exceler. So, I had to spend again on tester pot to come and test it. Once again the colour showed was not the way it looked on the wall. It was no where near the cotton thread that I originally liked and was confirmed is suitable for outdoor use. Once again, I had to go through the palette and find closest to the cotton thread. So, I select few options from the Dulux visualler and selected lemongrass and primrose rose white. So, once again I had to spend on the colour tester and try on the wall.
Throughout the entire selection process, I identified the follow quality issues that frustrate me as a customer.
1. The colour that is in the pallet is brochure is disguising. The actual colour on wall is completely different to the pallet shown the marketing collateral. As a brand that promises high quality, it is appalling to have such quality issues.
2. There is unreasonable expense of tester as the amount given is too much and not required to test the colour. Also, as the colour is different to what is shown in the brochure, its wasted and not refunded against purchase of the different colour. Even when I buy I a lipstick or any makeup. It is so easy to test the colour. This is a temporary application which can be easily removed. I am surprised, something permanent and expensive cost like painting you do not offer customer experience of seeing the actual paint. The tools that you use like the visualiser and the dry tester are not giving accurate information to customer and resulting in disguise purchase. I am not saying this based on single colour test. Till now I have spend money on nearly 8 testers and all of them have come out different. After all this frustration, I have now decided to simply buy plain pure brilliant white as I just cant be bothered with more trials and error. So, I could have just spend £26.00 Weathershield Trade 10 (2 tubs) litre enough to cover my house.
3. From traders experience, if they are recommending something to their customer. They should be provided with better tools with colour selection as this has a massive impact on the look and feel of their project.
4. Above all the staff that was assisting in colour selection was very rude and difficult. They do not have any tools or knowledge to assist with colour selection. They provide comment like "we have 100 of colours and it's impossible to provide guidance on colour selection". At least, the customer should be provided with exclusive opportunity to see colours in Dulux stores.
Overall, I had a very bad experience in decorating my dream home. Even after numerous visits and using Dulux tools. I am not able to create my dream space. Undoubtedly, the quality of the product is high in terms of finish. But colour plays an equally important role in making a house your own home. Every colour is a reflection of personality of the home owner.
I have spent more than £1100 instore on colours in last few weeks and still not able to even get a small pot on complementary basis. I have previously never concerned about this issues, as we have generally used simple colours like white and magnolia. But from now, I will not be recommending this to anyone.
I will be further contacting the Advertising authority board as I see this as a clear case of unfair selling and case of misinformation.
Best regards,
Nazmin Makda

your reference no 254393
Have used your high gloss Armstead paint for years and had no problems, its normally the best on the market
I m afraid this time I have to make it clear that it has gone yellow/green colour within a month of me applying it, I took it back to the retailer Bromborough Paints Northwich CW9, they rang you and you suggested it was either 'lack of light or too much light' and gave you the said reference number
If that is your standard answer to a painter and decorator (of 40 years) then fine, but I must say a rather patronising and dissapointing response from Dulux, whom I have kept faith in all my working life.
Hi I am sorry to hear we haven't resolved the problem as you expected . We have asked the store to obtain your contact telephone number, we have also replied to your comment on trust pilot and I would love to hear from you to resolve this issue you are experiencing . dulux soft sheen colour mixing
I purchased 2 x 5lrs of Dulux Colour Mixing paint from Homebase, Bigglswade UK 28/08/19. Colour Woodland Pearl 3 (see attached photos). Yesterday, my decorator used the first tin fine, paint went on beautifully. However, when he started the second tin he said the paint was a darker colour and didn't react well with the roller he had been using from the previous tin. He continued to see if it would rectify itself when on the walls. He continued to paint the second half of the room and do a couple of touch ups on the first coat. We left it to dry fully and this morning checked on the room. The walls look awful and cannot be left as they are. My decorator has said he will come back and repaint the wall but I do not feel using the defective paint will help. As this is not his fault nor mine I do not feel it is fair for me to have to pay him another days pay £300 per day to rectify something that isn't his fault or mine.
Please review the pictures and let me know asap how to proceed. I am having fitted study furniture fitted in that room on week commencing 8 September, so I need to get this sorted asap.
Kind regards,
Samantha Hales

Deluxe quick dry gloss high sheen in pure brilliant white
I bought a 2.5l can of quick dry high sheen gloss in pure brilliant white [protected]) about 3-4 weeks ago from Homebase (Rugby). I am decorating the upstairs landing and have sugar soaped & rinsed off all the doors and frames. Followed by undercoating with Dulux professional undercoat in pure brilliant white which was given a couple of days to dry. I started to paint with the gloss which was thoroughly stirred on Tuesday 21/8/19 and on those doors the paint was fine although of a watery consistency but when I continued on Wednesday 22/8/19 the paint which again was thoroughly stirred seems to be separating when it touches random parts of the woodwork, I have attached photos but the problems seems to be sporadic as it can be fine on one section of a door/frame but right next to that it will separate. The best way to describe it is like oil on water.
