unauthorized membership, unshipped books and charges to my bank account
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! I had to call to cancel my membership and the lady told me that I had to wait for the company to ship the books in order for me to get a refund on books that I DIDN'T AUTHORIZE. You should really specify that by purchasing the first set of books FOR $3.99, that you are signing up for a membership that will take $20 out of your bank account every 3 weeks or so unknowingly to the purchaser until they check their account and see that they are being charged for books that they haven't even received! They obviously do this often because everyone has the same complaint. They make their money from charging people account without you knowing.

please don't sign up for welcome package which says books are free but you will pay shipping and then they automatically sign you up for stupid books for $19.99 every 3 weeks and keep charging you..
On top of that, you can't even cancel the subscription by going to your website because the website only PAUSE the subscription for max 3 months. so, you will have to call their customer service to cancel the subscription.
Now, I will have to send the books and pay for shipping as well!
learning books
I order books from early moments and when i decided to cancel the membership the company sent a set of books and billed my credit card. I call within three days of looking at my bank statement and was told the books shipped. Early moments said send the books back and charged me 9.99 shipping and handling which was suppose to be free @!
horrible membership
Early moments sent a promotional offer saying that you just need to pay shipping which is $4.99 + tax. So, I ordered the book. After few books, i see another charge of $20 which i asked about. They told me by clicking on T&C, you entered into an agreement to receive books every three weeks. Who does that? I never across such kind of website. Just to make profit, they are harassing people. I do not know- how are they running such a long time. They can not run on truthful basis, so they are cheating people by using their credit card wrongfully. They should be sued for this thing.
They are pretty transparent that it's a subscription service. In the future, don't give a company your money without taking a moment to read the terms and conditions.

I was lured in with a sale of 3 books with a shipping of 4.99. And was charged 19.99 for another order of 1 children's book. Is the book made of gold for it to be charged that high. I'm glad I noticed, so cancelled it on time.
And I was also directed to Freeshipping.com because my purchase was eligible for cash back rebate. What a scam. I was charged 12.99/month for them to pay me rebate of 4.99. They take money from me to pay me money back.
Stay away from both Earlymoments.com and Freeshipping.com
People need to raise awareness, so other don't fall victim to the scams

This company has started sending books in the mail that I never ordered. They come with a you must call to return within 7 days notice. I have contacted them and asked they not send anything as of last October 2013 and then in May 2014 another books showed up. It is my recommendation you never order from this company because once you get on their list, they just keep sending and sending.

I ordered a set of Baby Einstein books for our daughter and was not informed that once I placed the order I would also be purchasing a membership, which I would be charged $20.00 a month for. Nowhere on my receipt or email confirmation was I advised that I had now entered into a membership with Early Moments book club, therefore I called and demanded it be canceled. The representative I spoke to tried to tell me it was on my confirmation, which I still have and was looking directly at, and it was nowhere on the page. When they told me they had canceled my membership I requested an email confirmation stating it had been canceled and the representative refused stating they had no access to email at this time. HORRIBLE company and I would not recommend their services to anyone!

According to the agreement, you will be shipped a series of books "about every month. " that to me sounds like once every month. I canceled one shipment only to find they did not notify me of another shipment in less than two weeks. There was no email, no place to hit "cancel membership" on their website. This company is a scam. Read their other reviews. You have to call a number to cancel your membership, otherwise they keep sending out and say "according to the membership policy", we send out books "about every month". Good luck to this fraudulent company.

I asked them to cancel my subscription, but they keep charging me for books I don't want. They don't have a working website that I can log-on to, they don't answer their phone, nor respond to my e-mails. I am forced to call my credit card company or cancel my credit card.
This company advertises a trial offer of five children's books for $5.95. The add states that there is no obligation to buy anything else. I received the first shipment and decided not to order any more. I sent the company an e-mail and a written letter asking them to discontinue deliveries. However, the company is continuing to send more books and bill my credit card for them.

Visited their site through a facebook app. Never gave them my address or my credit card, yet somehow they obtained this information, began billing me and selling me books. This is illegal, they have given me a partial refund but not the rest. Filing charges against them legally. They appear to be desperate to sell low quality books seeing how they did this.

received a bill but no books
I placed an order with this company on mar 19th 2014 today's date is apr 10th I have not received not a book but they sent me a bill in the mail how convention I called them and sent them an email add well telling them I never received my order they told me to wait 12 to 15 I did still nothing I told them to cancel my order they said they have I need to make sure it's cancelled cause reading the reviews from others they say they will not cancel their membership. They are horrible they have no tracking service avail which is very stupid I will no longer do business with them I will make sure I let everyone know on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

I have been charged twice for the same order. When i try to contact the customer service manager @ [protected]@earlymoments.com but cannot find this person. I just want my money back. I have tried to cancel my membership and no luck. I have 2 different account numbers and i only set up 1 account. I just want my money back. Each account balance is $12. 47, so i am asking for a full refund of $24. 94.
I have had the same problem regarding the account set up. One is for the regular books and one is for large books so they said. I set up only one account. However I sent an email to customercare@earlymoments.com and got a response back the next day. They canceled my account as I requested, but I have to wait 10 day to get the return label, so that means it will be about a month since they charged my credit card before I receive the credit. Who knows how much of a credit I will get.

This company is just plain wrong! They offer you 4 books for the price of 1, with a FREE activity book and FREE shipping NO obligation to buy anything else. They stick a few sentences in the "Membership Agreement" that says once a month you will be sent three more books at $4.99 PLUS shipping. First off that contradicts the statement of NO obligation for other purchases. Secondly, they send the books to you, charge your card and you won't know until you receive the package because they claim to send TWO e-mails saying they're about to ship the package and another saying it has been ship. YET I RECEIVED ONLY ONE E-MAIL FROM MY INITIAL PURCHASE! I've never purchased anything from a website or company where I did not receive a confirmation e-mail even if I've signed up for a recurring package. I spoke with a gentlemen about this purchase and he just kept repeating things from the site. I then spoke with who was supposedly the "SUPERVISOR" and she kept repeating what he said. I even offered these strangers my personal e-mail information so they can see there was no e-mails anywhere in my account. They also kept mentioning signing in online on their site but I never entered a password to create an account nor did I receive any e-mail saying your account has been created, please confirm your e-mail address which every site I've ever registered for has done that. This company is the definition of SCAM, I assume I make a one time purchase yet my card is charged because of this welcome package which apparently they sent out whenever they want with no warning! Then they expect me to take books back from my nieces to send back to them just to receive my refund, not right at all. Somewhere along the lines they're breaking some laws that are suppose to be followed for business owners, whoever came up with idea should be sued cause apparently you cant buy ONE book from this sight without confirming their "Membership Agreement".

I have purchased books with discounts from Early Moments BookClub. I paid $6 and then the books never came. I decided to check the status of the shipping and opened their site. However my computer immediately blocked this page. There was a virus. I can’t contact them and what should I do now?

This company is running a scam. These people claim that they sent books to your address 7 years back and want to be paid in 2012 for the books. They don't know who ordered the books, but they will have credit collectors come after people whose address they have sent these books to
Had the worst experience with Early Moments! I ordered books for my then 2 yr old and everything was good till it was 6 weeks and still no books I called and they said it was mailed but they would reship again I waited again another 6 weeks and nothing! By then we were moving and I called and changed my address all they kept saying was it was shipped and we can try to reship after 3 times of them "reshipping" I told them to give me my money back!
I had an awesome experience with Early Moments. They charged my card and sent my books as promised!
recurrent charges with out information
This is a fraud. I was not aware of any fine print for continuation of service. I am still in wait for my first original shipment that I was advertised in a reputed magazine. Recently without informing me, my card has been charged $18.96 in pretext of 'Continue Education'. There is no button like 'Cancel Membership' (You can just hold membership for max 3 months, I do not what will happen after 3 months).
These are really bad practices, Such companies are getting card number with fine prints indicating malicious intentions to make (or survive) money in business by selling cheaply available books on exorbitant price.
It is really a headache and troublesome. But a cautious step for other before dealing with such companies over web.

poor service
I ordered the Baby's First Disney books for my 2 month old back in March 2011 and I received the initial package of books paid the bill on time and was expecting to get another shipment and I never did so I finally contacted them in June by email asking why that was and the response just said that my membership had been discontinued and that they had a number of other programs I could enroll my child in. So I sent a reply to them saying that I was asking WHY it had been discontinued and their response to that was that the club I was signed up for had been discontinued and that the books were no longer available. I went to the website and you can still order the books, so why is she telling me they are no longer available even though people can still sign up for that club. Also if it really has been discontinued, it would be nice to receive something telling me that it had been instead of just never getting my shipment and wondering why.

horrible service
I called early moments to in jan. 2011 to gets 5 books with a free tot bag for my sons 4th birthday. I never recieved them and noticed on my checking account they charged me $20, I called around march 21st 2011 to see why, they said I joined them as a member I sat there and argueed with them for a half hour bout the fact that I didnt join them and told them I havent recieved any packages and that I want my money back! They told me I would have to either keep the books or send them back to get my money back! On april 2nd (My sons birthday party)! I finally recived one set of books not even the first set that I ordered I waited just a little longer to see if the first set was going to show up no it didnt! So I called back I finally just got so fed up that I told them to just give my whole $5 back! Ugh never never never use this company if that is even what they are! It does not take 4 months to get books in the mail

I agree I wish i had seen complaints too! I recieved a very small paper on terms and conditions and does not say what the subscription price will be all it says is that u will be automatically enrolled in " Our Program". Which is total [censor]. They should not be allowed to charge your card a random amount without telling you how much in advance. An email or message or something to let us know.
It's clear when you sign up that you are subscribing to a book club, if you read the terms and conditions.
