customer service
I live in Fort Mill SC. and shop at the Earthfare near buy. Most times when I go in there the customer service is poor especially in the deli area and check out. Its rare to find someone at the deli without having to search for them.As what happened again today. I asked at the checkout for assistance with contacting someone in the deli. Per usual a bad attitude from her. This has happened on many occasions. The only friendly people are in the butcher area. A lesson in customer service and perhaps a smile would be appreciated. I will no longer shop at this Earthfare. There are others in Charlotte that are a much more pleasant experience. And your competitor of Whole Foods and Sprouts are my other options.
I really like the quality of Earthfare but things need to change before I return to the Fort Mill store.
Regards,
Margaret Paprocki

I live in Ocala Florida and we have one Earth fare here which I do like to shop at but apparently if you want to shop at night even though you close at 10:00 you have to get there before 8:00 because you shut down the deli and the meat department. I got there right at 8:00 and they were already hosing down the ice and the meat department. You're open for another 2 hours so I don't understand why you would close down the meat department 2 hours before you close the actual store. That's really not good for business. I own a business in this town and I would never close it down early just because I was slow.
Desired outcome: You should consider not closing your meat department 2 hours before your entire store closes.

Rudeness of butcher
I shopped at Earth Fare in Concord, NC this afternoon on 12/21/2022 2:20 PM. I waited at the meat counter until a butcher arrived who asked how he could help. I requested salmon and asked if he could skin it for me. He responded, "What's the secret word?" I replied, "Skin." He insisted on me telling him the secret word. When I replied that I didn't know it...

On July 30, 2022, at about 1115 am, I went to Earth Fare on Parkside Dr in Knoxville, Tn. I am not a regular customer of Earth Fare, but was in the area and decided to stop in because my mother told me about a sale on ground beef. I went first to the butcher counter and told the butcher that I was made aware of a ground beef sale. He replied, "well, what is it?". I looked at him confused because I expected that an employee would likely tell ME what the sale was so that I would purchase items from your store. I said "what?". He said, "what is the sale?". I told him that it was supposed to be something like if you buy two pounds of beef it came out to $4 per pound (I did not explain well). He pointed to a case nearby and said "it's all in there". He seemed to have a poor attitude about helping me. I then went to an older lady who was stocking soaps etc and asked if there was an area where gluten-free items were located. She looked at me like I was an idiot and said, "yeah, I mean, it's all over the store. Every aisle has gluten-free stuff just look around". I then asked her if there were gluten-free freezer meals for my wife to take to work. She said, "yeah, I'm sure there are, just go look in the freezer case." The cashier also seemed put out that she had to help me. I am not sure if there had just been a meeting that did not go well or something but they went 3 for 3 today on poor customer service. Then, to top it off, the Silk Almond Milk I purchased for my wife expired on 7/26 and was still on the shelf. This store needs to get its stuff together. As I said, I am not a regular Earth Fare customer, but I will make sure that was my last trip.
Rude Uncaring Employees, Especially Managment
I stopped by the store in Hoover, Alabama to pick up some apple chipotle sauce. I grabbed 2 bottles because they were on sale I was heading for the registers and in the produce area I slipped on something and fell. I put out my left hand to catch myself and the bottle in that hand shattered, cutting my hand in several places and leaving shards of glass in my hand. Apple Chipotle sauce was everywhere, all over the floor, me, my white handbag, a favorite shirt, and of course my hand. It was hard to tell what was blood and what was sauce. I hit the floor hard. In my opinion those floors are dangerous. Cement with a smooth decorative finish. Just a drop of somethign wet and you're asking for trouble. Not one store employee offered assistance. Not a single one! I asked for a manager. I needed towels to wrap my hand in as it was bleeding profusely. A customer very kindly went out to the car to get my daughter who was waiting for me as it was supposed to have been a quick trip. as she came in, an employee finally brought me paper towels. We were walking back out to the car and an employee, the same one I think, followed us asking for my name and phone #. I don't know why because they never called to check me on at all. They were complete ***.. To top it off I got a call from someone at their coroporate offices this morning asking me to give a statement;. She then told me that they had a witness who didn't see anything on the floor.. Well duh, I didn't see it either or I wouldn't have slipped, and with all the sauce all over the place how could anyone see what I slipped on anyway?. This incident has left me with a very bad taste in my mouth regarding Earth Fare. I took no pictures, asked for no witnesses, and had no intentions of suing. They could not be bothered to offer me assistance but they took the time to interview witnesees, . Really? They may be an "earth friendly' store but they are NOT people friendly;. After that phone call this morning I will NEVER visit an Earth Fare store again and will tell everyone I know how rudely I have been treated.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Stay away
After my husband heart attack I bought a lot of natural nuts, sunflower seed and grains from Earth Fare, in June of 2010 I opened a bag of sunflowers and what appeared to be spider webs were running through it, I took back all the sunflower seeds and asked to talk to the person in charge over the department. I told him how disgusting it is to find bugs in bags of food, he promised he will take care of that. he never told me it wasn't spiderwebs but silks from pantry moth cocoons. 10 months later and huge expense and I still have the darn pantry moth. When I called their headwaters in Fletcher, NC the assistant to the manager was the one that told me what I have, at first she sent me a gift certificate from Earth Fare, I sent that back then she offered a small some of money that didn't cover but a small portion of the expenses to decontaminate my house. I declined the offer and so far nothing helped, I scabbed, chlorinated, steamed, fumigated and use traps for over 9 months. I still have these darn pests. I threw out hundreds of dollars worth of food and there is no end in sight. This problem would have been averted if they were honest with me and warrant me what it was when I took back the sunflower seeds. Instead I kept buying contaminated products. Do yourself a favor. Find another place to shop. I can't keep any grains, nuts, flour, breads, pasta... in the hose unless I keep them in air tight metal or glass containers. Save yourself the grief. I have all the documentation and will back up everything I wrote.
