Nope! Do not use....like ever--especially if you have an expensive phone.
I did everything as required at kiosk K4287. I was a little hesitant when the door closed on the kiosk, with my phone inside, but thought, it'll be ok. The kiosk said the phone was in good shape and my payment in cash as in the process. The green light flashed for "cash" but it never came out. I immediately called the customer service number, waited a bit, told the lady what happened, then got cut off, called back and repeated the whole process again (meanwhile, I kept hitting the "need more time" button). The lady said they would issue me a check by email...haven't seen it yet.
Recommendation: Nope
Warning : DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
Warning : DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!Gazell.com quoted me a price, and when they received my device they damaged it and acted as if they did not, they cut my quote in half and acted like I sent in damaged phone. I sent my IPhone XS *** to them in like new condition, they responded with an email stating they would not honor original price quote to the phone being scratched and having a chip. I requested my device back because I knew the quality and condition of my property, and when I received it there was a hairline crack and chip in the screen. I called the company on 12/27 and was on hold for *** I have yet to hear back from them. My devices always has a case and screen protector on them to keep them in like new condition. This company is dishonest, and should not be in business! Again do not use this company you run the risk of this happening to you.
I believe the folks live to scam customers. I am a reseller every so often I just get to a point where I wanna dump a couple of phones. I sold them an S 22. Galaxy FE which I thought was in very very good condition, they said no it wasnt and offered me about 25% of what I was quoted. I unfortunately was not able to accept it but my assistant did accept the offer on the assumption that we will be paid promptly by PayPal. They cant pay me by PayPal and all I want is my phone back I believe they are in violation of the agreement by not being able to pay me by PayPal . I didnt want to be paid any other way and they didnt seem to push it now they wont return the phone and I havent been paid and I will not accept the check again all I want back is the phone. They have been dragging this on for almost 3 weeks and doing everything they can not to solve the problem I can promise you I will never deal with him again and I would recommend that you folks do the same.
They made me an offer of $160.00 for my phone and then once they had it in their possession, gave me a dishonest appraisal saying the phone was scratched and the screen was flawed. Their new offer was $44! Total RIP OFF! I rejected their offer and still have not received my phone back My phone was in pristine condition. I bet they pull this bait and switch on everyone
Gazelle offers fair pricing and I have not had an issue with their device pricing. However, their timelines are longer than stated and have nearly zero customer support. Hours on hold, no one returns calls, no one answers chats, it is a monumental effort to get ahold of someone if things go wrong. My payment just wasnt sent, I finally got a reply by DM on *** that there was an issue with making my payment by PayPal. Weeks went by and they did not try to tell me this once by any method of communicating. I have still not been issued a payment for one device, but the other I sold to them went through without any issues at all using the same payout method. They seem to be very understaffed and have poor communication about it.
Gazelle is not what you would expect. One places trust in sending in items to be paid for them only to get a poor evaluation and then when trying to contact a human being they keep you waiting on the phone for over an hour. Try to decline offer via email it wont process.
I sent in a apple iPad Air 3 That was in good condition
I sent in a apple iPad Air 3 That was in good condition. After selecting the appropriate condition box they said they would give me 247 dollars. I sent it in the next day. It took two days to get to them but five days to process it! Then they emailed saying all kinds of things were wrong with it and wanted to give me 34 dollars. I told them no and they shipped it back. They never returned the original Apple box that I sent it in. When I asked they simply told me they recycled it and sorry. I sent the iPad into *** and they had no problem giving me 200 dollars for the same iPad that Gazelle said had all these issues (btw, it had no issues).I feel Gazelle is not honest and is taking advantage of people. I guess they just expect people to go along with it because they already shipped their electronics to them. And customer service is not helpful. The lady that answered my call had a bunch of screaming children in the background and was less than a helpful or sympathetic to me. I really feel I got burned trusting Gazelle and am writing this to hopefully prevent others from getting taken advantage of.
I sent in my barely used iPad Pro 4th gen 128gb unlocked to gazelle they have inspected my device and has offered me a payment of $663, however it has been over 2 weeks and they did not send me my money. Ive live chatted more that 3 times with employees and its always some excuse and sent countless emails that havent been replied too.
Sent them a like new Galaxy S22 Ultra for a $600 offer and they revised the offer to $100. Scam. Hope they send back my phone how I sent it to them - flawless.
This company buys stolen iCloud locked phones for dirt cheap and then makes it *** near impossible for the rightful owner to get it back. Absolute scum!
Let me just start off by saying I am an electronic reseller who specializes specifically in smartphone buying and selling. It is my job to be able to accurately inspect and grade devices. I had sent Gazelle a Galaxy S20 FE 5G (Unlocked) smartphone with an offer of $351. The only reason I sent them the device was because their offer was way higher than anywhere else. The device was factory unlocked (open to ANY US carrier), and also still in factory plastic (essentially right out of the box condition).
It took them an entire week after confirmed tracking to even acknowledge they received the device. It then took them another week to inspect the device. After inspection, I received a revised offer of $125. The reasons stated were: Different model - Galaxy 20 FE 5g (Other), and scratches. 'Other' means that the carrier the device is for is not one of the 4 major companies (ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint) but instead a smaller carrier that operates on their networks, such as Boost or Cricket. A quick GSX report of the device's IMEI would tell you the device was carrier unlocked from the factory, so their claim of 'Other' is baseless. As far as scratches go, how does a device still wrapped in factory plastic become scratched? Hmm. For the sake of argument, let's just say they DID find a scratch. Now the device is 'light signs of use' instead of 'Looks like new'. The price quote difference between those is only $15 according to them. The price difference between carrier Unlocked and 'Other' is only $50. So assuming everything they said is correct, that's only a $65 deduction. How did we arrive at $125?
You see, market values changed in the 2 weeks they were fumbling around with my device. What they were paying $351 for 2 weeks ago, they are only paying $138 for today. They are just trying to avoid taking a loss. Customer service never picked up when I called, and chat told me it would take 5-7 days for re-evaluation. Nope, just send it back (3-7 days). Almost an entire month ordeal with these clowns.
I purchased a cell phone from Gazelle which I later found out was still connected to another cell customers account and had never been paid for
I purchased a cell phone from Gazelle which I later found out was still connected to another cell customers account and had never been paid for. They (gazelle) sold this IPhone 11 as new.Basically, they had no right to sell this to me when it was still under contract with another customer. I have contacted them however they are dragging their feet on either refunding my money or providing me with another phone. In the meantime, I had to purchase another phone from *** which cost me $800.00. I have contacted them several times, but this issue still hasn't been resolved and I'm still out my money. Beware, you will wait on hold for hours only to be given the runaround. When I called last week, they told me my refund would be expedited and today when I called, they told me they needed the phone back (find it's not any good to me anyway) before they could start the refund and them it would take 14 + days after they receive it for a refund. Oh, and it will take them about a week to send me the return label. This has been going on for a month and they just continue to drag their feet with new requirements. Buyer beware...
This company is probably the worst device trading company on the market. I sent them my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G 256GB, with their initial offer of $637.00. After a MONTH of sitting on my device, and multiple attempts to contact customer service, I finally received an "adjusted offer" of 33 bucks. What? This device was mint. No reason whatsoever of offering me such a disrespectful price. I'm worried I won't actually get my phone back. Given they took 27 days to "process " my device. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. TO DO SO IS AT YOUR OWN RISK! Read the multiple bad reviews EVERYWHERE, before making your decision.

Gazelle/EcoATM is THE worst phone trade in company in the market. Hold times are 1+ hours and they accomplish nothing when on the phone with them. It's been 30+ days of back and forth communications. I finally gave up and told them to decline the trade in and send it back. Now It's been over a week and no communication on the device being sent back to me. I noticed they are using salesforce as their customer care management provider. No wonder they are terrible. They should change their provider ASAP if they want to stay afloat. I also noticed they are lying about the Complaintsboard.com rating on their site. It is clearly different from what is posted here. AVOID them at all costs.
I sent them a brand new, never used, still in the box Apple iPad Pro, 3rd generation, 11 inch, 256GB, wifi, unlocked device along with the charger and everything that originally came packaged in the box. This is my 3rd week waiting on payment, $495 original offer and I chose PayPal as my payment method. No updates since I sent my item off. Today I finally get a update that they received my item but they received a Apple iPad pro 1st generation. I contacted customer service and was told "yeah they changed it from a 2018 iPad pro 1st generation to a 2018 iPad pro 1st generation unlocked" I sent in a 2021 3rd generation worth $1200! They changed it so they could low ball me on the original offer which is beyond me because I know for a fact the 1st generation is way cheaper than the 3rd generation. I took pictures of the device before I shipped it off to them, the box even says 3rd generation. The original email confirmation says 3rd generation. I don't understand how they're still in business scamming people the way they do! If they don't fix the issue I will be taking legal action because I should not have to take a lower offer just because of an error on their end about the item I actually sent in. Thank God I took pictures and screenshots of everything! Whenever I do receive the updated offer I already know it's going to be way lower than I was quoted because they are being dishonest about the product they received from me, I will more than likely end up declining and hopefully get my item back with no issues. Brand spanking new too..the iPad pro was still in the plastic inside the box so I better not hear nothing about scratches cause I never used it..never took it out the box..only opened it to take pictures of it to make sure they don't try to switch out my product for a piece of junk which they are already attempting to do, I'll be damned!
Activated my phone's lost mode after realizing it was gone in Cleveland
I activated my phone's lost mode after realizing it was gone during my Cleveland trip. I attempted to locate my iPhone using the Find My Phone feature. The person in possession seemed to avoid detection by keeping the phone off until they exchanged it for cash at a kiosk. Once deposited, I tracked it to the kiosk and heard the ping from inside. I contacted the kiosk's support line for retrieval instructions. They required a police officer's presence to remotely unlock the kiosk. At the police station, I secured an officer's assistance. Upon calling the support line again, I was put on hold for an extended period, and the officer had to depart for another call. With my phone's battery nearly depleted, I worry it will power down before I can attempt another recovery. Despite lost mode, the kiosk accepted my phone, contrary to its policy. I've reached out to the kiosk company's customer service and await their response.
The service received by two representatives was very distasteful. I traded my device in due to me needing to accumulate funds to avoid an eviction after losing my job due to medical conditions. The ECOATM assessed my device and quoted me a certain amount for it. The machine took the device but could only dispense a limited amount in one-dollar bills due to it running out of funds. I contacted customer service as the machine directed and explained the situation to the first agent. She then transferred me to another team member to expedite check processing as she confirmed they are able to send funds quicker under certain circumstances. The second agent was very rude from the start. I explained my frustration with not receiving the full amount while my device was now taken, and I emphasized that I could not wait as it was Monday and I needed the funds before Wednesday. The agent began to say they couldn't do anything as it was against policy and started talking over me. I requested to speak with a supervisor and was transferred to one. At this point, I began taking notes of the interaction due to the experience I was having thus far. The supervisor was even less helpful, and I had to confirm if he really was in a supervisory position. He confirmed my address, and when the email was sent to expedite the request, it turned out there were additional steps needed because the supervisor did not include the address, which I have a recording of him confirming due to my home being under surveillance. I feel as if the supervisor intentionally omitted that information to delay the process. I am already stressed and experiencing hardship, and to have received this type of experience leads me to believe this is reflective of the company's ethos. They appear to be rude and insensitive to the people that help keep them employed. I requested to be contacted by someone in a higher position, but the supervisor declined and said he would ask his manager to include my check in Tuesday's processing so I would receive it by Wednesday. I asked for a follow-up as I wasn't confident in their assurances, but he declined that request as well.
They sold me a locked, stolen device. Support is absolutely abysmal.
Dont do business with this company: I ordered an iPad mini 5 256gb for $383.84 on their website and received an regular iPad 6 32gb valued at $150. Now theyre making me jump through hoops to speak with someone to correct the issue. The company has shady and deceptive practices, avoid at all costs.
My I Phone was always in a case and had no scratches. The model was exactly as stated. They stated it was scratched and wrong model and reduced offer $20. I requested it to be returned.
I sent my Apple iPad 4th Generation 64GB WiFi to Gazelle after I received the Gazelle offer on 5/3/2022 for $126.69
I sent my Apple iPad 4th Generation 64GB WiFi to Gazelle after I received the Gazelle offer on 5/3/2022 for $126.69. On 5/17/2022 Gazelle sent me an email stating that I had sent them a different model, The email said : You identified your gadget as an Apple iPad 4th generation 64GB WiFi, but it is actually an Apple iPad 4th generation 16GB WiFi. Additionally they said that the Screen Doesn't Fully Light *** has Scratches and so the offer was adjusted to $1.00 I called their customer service on 5/17/2022 and clarified that the Model number that they mentioned in there was incorrect. I had indeed sent them a 64GB device and not 16GB. I asked them to check the S/N of my device against the Apple's online device coverage. My device had no scratches as it was kept in a case with a screen protector from day 1. The screen also always fully light up. The rep then asked me to send an email with Pictures (which I luckily had) and request a review on the same. Today I got an email saying that there were burn marks on the device and I had to accept or decline the $1.00 as the offer. Calling their customer service was of no help either as they were reiterating what the email said.My recommendation - Donate your device rather then getting scammed.
Gazelle.com is a scam In late December I boxed up and sent off my old iPad Pro to Gazelle.com
Gazelle.com is a scam In late December I boxed up and sent off my old iPad Pro to Gazelle.com. Their website estimated the device was worth $163 in its current - perfect - condition. I even called the Gazelle staff to confirm the website estimate before mailing. Imagine my shock a couple of weeks later when I received back an offer of $19 for my iPad with the following explanation: Screen Doesnt Light Up: We found that your LCD screen has some discoloration, defective spots or does not work properly.Scratches: We found that the device has more than the acceptable amount of scratches. My options were to either accept the $19 offer or have my iPad returned to me. Fearing the worst, I requested the device be returned. What could have happened? Was the device damaged during shipping to Gazelle, or was this a scam? Two anxious weeks later I unboxed the iPad when it arrived back home. To my great relief, it was in the same condition as it was in when shipped to Gazelle. It worked flawlessly, and there wasnt a blemish on the case or screen. To confirm that Gazelle.com is running a scam, I called them once more and asked why they didnt honor their original website offer of $163? They stuck with the story that my iPads LCD screen was defective and the case too scratched up to offer more than $19 for it. Nonsense. These guys are scammers. Run away!
Was initially offered $110 for my Newley purchased iPhone 7 direct from apple (October 21)
Was initially offered $110 for my Newley purchased iPhone 7 direct from apple (October 21). I did however have a very tiny crack on the top right hand corner. Maybe 1cm. Other than that the phone is in very good condition. So I didnt expect the full $110. When I got the email with an adjusted offer I was thinking $50-60 would be reasonable. Especially seeing that its basically brand new aside from that tiny ding. They offered $6$6 tiny dollars.i asked for another inspection. Same results. When I asked why they just said phone was broken and couldnt be used (its not and can be used). I asked what was broken and they couldnt give specifics only that it was broken (again its not). They acted like it was a faulty phone that would not turn on or use properly. The representative was extremely rude and did their best at not confronting the situation. So I was transferred and all they said was its broken. Again would not tell me what was broken. Just that it wouldnt work (it does). They tried to get my basically new phone for $6. Fix the tiny crack and sell it for very good condition phone. I7 126GB probably for at least $120.I would have reasonably accepted $50-60ish for the phone due to the small crack. But $6.$6.smh Do not attempt to sell to gazelle. They will do their best to try and scan and rip you off. It was a complete waste of 2 weeks. Ill be selling elsewhere.
I wish I could rate less than 1 star honestly
I wish I could rate less than 1 star honestly. What a crock- If you are expecting to get paid in a timely manner and get a decent value DO NOT SHOP HERE. 2021 has been a rough year for a lot of people, to be able to buy my nieces and nephews christmas I thought why not upcycle my electronics I'm not currently using. I valued my old phone and got a "decent" quote. I understand they have to make money as well so I wasnt too upset they barely wanted to give 100$ for an excellent condition iPhone. I requested my shipping kit which came 5-6 days later... then immediately charged my old phone, cleaned the screen, boxed it up and took it to the local post office same day. I checked the tracking number manually the following week because I hadnt gotten any email updates- It turns out it was delivered to their warehouse 4 days before I finally got an email saying they had recieved it. The website was saying they had already checked it in, so I thought ill get my amazon gift card within a day or two... 2 days later I email customer service live chat... I give my details only to get a straight up copied response of the garbage on their website. "It will take 5 business days to check in your product, 5 business days to accept your final offer and 5 business days to get your payment? ... What? I started this whole mess November 29th and it wont be done in time for me to get peoples christmas taken care of with it?
SCAM R US!
SCAM R US! Buyer beware. I ordered a phone and paid for the fastest shipping. The next day the wrong phone showed up (a 200 dollar cheaper model). Took forever to get a supervisor to agree that I should get the phone I paid 650 dollars for. He told me they would ship my phone the day I shipped the wrong phone back. Well shocker, they didn't. I called and asked about it later in the day and the new supervisor told me they wouldn't be doing anything on a Saturday but maybe Tuesday they would process it. I reached out on Monday to say wtf. Now the person I was talking to informed me that didn't have my phone and I wouldn't be getting one. At this point I'm 5 day in on me ordering my phone originally and I was suppose to have that within 24 hours. They didn't even bother to tell me they weren't going to do anything and didn't refund me. Then I was informed I'm now on a wait list to get the phone that I've already paid for and I would get it when I get it. I don't know about anyone else but I expect to get what I paid for. Every phone call is a fight. So now the best they can do is send me that [censored] model phone that came. Kicker is, they didn't even want to give me anything for the hassle. They refused to ship it that day even though I already paid for the fast shipping. I doubt I'll actually get it. Go anywhere but here. Straight scam. They stole my money and I have nothing to show for it. They wont even confirm the [censored] phone.
Gazelle/ecoATM is at best a dishonest company and a worst a complete scam
Gazelle/ecoATM is at best a dishonest company and a worst a complete scam.Their website claimed they would buy my iPhone X with a condition of "looks like new" for $235 or a condition of "light signs of use" for $226. My iPhone X is in nearly perfect condition, not a scratch or *** on it. So despite seeing several negative reviews for the company I decided to sell it to Gazelle because their offer was a bit higher than most other companies were offering. A week after I shipped my phone they received it, after another week they inspected my phone and emailed me a revised offer claiming "We found that the device has more than the acceptable amount of scratches" and my new offer of $95 was equivalent to their condition for "heavy signs of use or damage". I knew something was incorrect so I reached out to them and asked for a re-inspection. Another full week passed and they came back with the same result. At this point I rejected their offer and eventually received my iPhone back after 2 more weeks. Surprisingly my iPhone came back just as I sent it, in perfect like new condition. I then took took it to an Apple store and they paid me the price for an "excellent" condition phone. In summary, trust the many negative reviews for this company and do not believe the prices Gazelle/ecoATM shows on their website. They will not give you this price no matter how good the condition of your device is. Their "inspection process" is very dishonest and I believe borders on being a scam. I will never attempt to do any business with this company again.
I physically took my phone to one of the atm locations that supposedly pays you cash on the spot for your phone
I physically took my phone to one of the atm locations that supposedly pays you cash on the spot for your phone. I had already gotten a quote for my phone prior to taking it to the atm so when I arrived I just input my code and made the process a little faster...until it was time to pay out. It gave me a message saying "this is embarrassing. I can't pay you" and gives me the number to their unprofessional customer service (who keeps you on hold for about 42 minutes before answering). I called the number and after the long hold am told I have to file a claim and get my money via check instead. This was on a Friday. I was told I would get paid Wednesday (and that's because I had to beg for them to overnight a check). I asked if there was any other means to send the money as it was for rent. I was told no. They threw in an extra few bucks so even though I was possibly going to be evicted, i had no choice but to agree. Wednesday comes and goes and nothing. Turns out *** dropped off the check at the wrong address, which I understand is not their fault (however, it is their fault that im in this situation in the first place). I call customer service again and explain everything to *** and he's a jerk. Then proceeds to tell me that they can PayPal me but they have to issue a stop pay first. I call the next day to confirm everything was still on track since *** was rude and incompetent. Sure enough, he put the wrong email address so that the paypal was going to go to the wrong place AND he didn't issue the stop pay. So here we are (tomorrow will be two weeks since they got my phone) and I still haven't been paid. I was promised the money today...AND NOTHING!

Instead, they offered to include my check in Tuesday's processing for receipt by Wednesday, but refused to provide a follow-up, leaving me doubtful.
EcoATM Complaints 17
Gazelle
Around August 7th, I sent two iPhones into Gazelle for them to evaluate and purchase. On August 15th, I accepted their offer of $1301.30 for both devices and they emailed me notifying that they had mailed a check that day. Read full review of EcoATMi had my phone and wallet stolen from me about two weeks ago and all my cards were in the case
i had my phone and wallet stolen from me about two weeks ago and all my cards were in the case. i was able to track my phone to an eco atm inside the mall. i contacted police immediately and they met me at kiosk to help me but i got a different story than i did wen i first called eco atm and the man told me to get to atm with police, i rushed in and called you back and the lady politely told me that this was not the way it worked and i would have to do the paper trail and file a police report and that took three days to get a copy of , now i get an email saying i need written authorization so i called police station and the dispatcher acted like i was calling to ask him to do extra work and said the police report should do. this is c*** i really dont know why you guys would ask for this after i got you a police report im working to hard to get MY property back im pretty sure that they would have got in touch with you if they needed the phone i mean they know where the phone is at. im asking that you please get my phone to me in the next 1-2 business days. imagine having no phone to report cards stolen or not even being able to use your phone for weeks. i have let the police know what you were looking for im pretty sure there contact info is on police report. i am not jumping through anymore hoops. i am pretty sure this is illegal what youy are doing. and i would also like half of my cell phone *** paid by you at this point, i have called u the day of incident and the day after where you could have clearly opened kiosk for police but you chose this route. my cell phone *** is 80 a month. you have had phone for over two weeks and should of only had it for two hours

Gazelle recieved my Galaxy S21 Plus September 30th. Their website and represenatives stat that ut taks aboit 7 business days from start to finish for them to evaluate yhe device. It has been 11. I was told that it should be completed Oct. 14th, but never received any imformation. I called the next day and they still havent finished the job. I have contacted this company 4 times and have been pushed aside everytime. My claim number through Gazelle is C02394839
I received an offer of $690 for my iPad Pro 5th generation. I thoroughly inspected it for any imperfections and, since it has never been outside the house and has always been protected by a strong case, I found no issues. I copied the serial number and sent it in. I received an email stating that it was worth $135, which is the typical payout for a broken iPad. I declined the offer and received an email confirmation. However, I then received a second email stating that I had accepted the offer. After being on hold for four hours, they couldn't provide any explanation for the reduction to $135 or why it was marked as accepted after I had declined. Supposedly, an email was sent to the warehouse.
So I inquired about the next steps for when I receive it back and if the serial number doesn't match the one I sent in, suspecting they might have confused mine with another customer's. The representative had no clear instructions except to suggest calling back and waiting another four hours to speak to someone. Sellers, beware of this complete scamming company and their bait-and-switch tactics. Even if Apple offers less, consider taking their offer. I have sold multiple items to trade-in companies like Gazelle and have never had any issues. I always accurately describe my electronics, which I meticulously maintain to keep scratch-free. They need to honor the original agreement and send me the $690 as promised. This experience screams of a scam.
6/15/2022 $431.04 AN UNLOCKED CELL PHONE THAT USES A MAJOR NETWORK - This was recently discovered as Straighttalk transitioned from one major network provider to another. When the SIM card was inserted into the phone, it did not function. I should not be responsible for paying off someone's phone when Gazelle did not verify the phone to ensure it was truly unlocked. THE PHONE IS NOT UNLOCKED. BUSINESS SAID THEY CANNOT HELP SHP628159

I respectfully request intervention on my behalf with Gazelle/EcoATM on a transaction
I respectfully request intervention on my behalf with Gazelle/EcoATM on a transaction. On January 3rd 2022, I initiated the online process to sell my device, a *** Galaxy S9 SM-G960V 64GB *** to Gazelle order number PS14435548568. I graded my devices condition based on the grading criteria available on Gazelles website at the following URL: https://www.gazelle.com/help/faq/sell/question_8. I provided an honest assessment, using the criteria listed, and was offered $119 for my phone. I mailed the device to *** using the prepaid label and in accordance with their instructions. Gazelle received my device and on January 20th emailed me that in their assessment, my device has more than the acceptable amount of scratches and as a result, lowered the offer to $35.00 given reference number SR38762416940. I requested a re-inspection on January 21st and was told the entire process would take 3-5 business days. As of today, February 3rd, I still have no resolution and have spoken to several customer service reps who told me to wait 3-5 more business days each time on several occasions (screenshots attached).I believe that Gazelle's grading criteria are intentionally vague and built to allow Gazelle to undercut a consumers self-assessment and are not in good faith with consumers. The only grading criteria which mentions scratches is "Flawless," and the criteria for "Broken" is explicitly specific, leading me to assess my device as "Good." It has taken far outside the given timeframe to receive a response on the requested re-inspection. I request that Gazelle honor their original offer of $119 for my device and resolve the issue in a timely fashion.

I had an iphone stolen from me over a year ago. Several months ago, the thief sold it to ecoatm, which contacted me (as the phone was still attached to my account) to get me to unlock it, upon which time I informed them it was stolen and would like my property returned, which they agreed to only they keep adding more and more conditions, then will wait months before contacting me back. They now state that to get my property (which they know is mine because THEY contacted ME initially!) I either need a police officer up fill out a form (which *** cannot be bothered to do) or I need to REIMBURSE them (?!) for the money they paid the thief plus money for shipping it back. I reminded them that their shady business model invites risk, and their criminality of being in possession of stolen goods not withstanding, asking a victim to PAY for HIS OWN PROPERTY is akin to racketeering and extortion. They just keep dragging their feet, bluffing, and threatening to destroy/recycle my device (for which they explicitly were told they DO NOT have permission to do) if I do not pay their ransoms to get my property returned to me. Egregious!
My phone was stolen and sold at the kiosk in the mall on 9/25/2022. I was able to track it there using my tracking app and that is where it remained until the battery was depleted. I've tried numerous times to contact the company but no one has responded over the past 2 weeks. I have been working with local police, but unfortunately, they are unable to proceed since the company is unwilling to assist. EcoATM makes numerous claims about valuing security on their website, but this definitely does not seem to be the case. I would greatly appreciate any assistance in retrieving my phone.
My phone was stolen and sold at the kiosk in the shopping center at 2pm on 9/25. I was able to track it there using the location services, and that is where it remained until the battery was depleted. I've tried numerous times to contact the company but have never received a response. EcoATM claims to value security on their website, however, my experience suggests otherwise.
I'm attempting to sell my iPhone 13 Pro to the company called Gazelle for a price we previously agreed upon, which I believe is handled by this company. The phone was delivered on October 4, 2022, and I have not heard any updates on my phone other than confirmation of its receipt. I have called each and every day for the last five days and each time I am told that the item is undergoing inspection and to call back in two days if I haven't heard anything. To me, that isn't a satisfactory response! You have a piece of equipment that I own and no one can seem to provide any information on its status other than that the inspection process has started. I would appreciate someone resolving this issue as soon as possible and, if the phone is worth the agreed-upon price, then to issue a check payable to me for that amount. I don't feel I am being unreasonable and have been patient long enough! We are going on 2 weeks with no progress and I am finished with calling and asking your customer service representatives questions that they respond to with standard answers. Please look into this matter! Thanks!
Order Date: 09/02/2022 Order # SHP749327 Product: Iphone 13 amount: $1,064.39 USD Dispute
Order Date: 09/02/2022 Order # SHP749327 Product: Iphone 13 amount: $1,064.39 USD Dispute Reason: Returned with no refund Return Started: Sept 8th Return Delivered: Sept 17th Tracking: Not Provided I have been exceedingly patient with these people. I found a better price for the phone locally so I sent back the phone that gazelle had provided. I started the return on Sept 8th, and it was delivered to gazelle on Sept 17th, after which they emailed me saying they received the item, and the website said I had been refunded and should expect the money in 5-7 business days. It is now October 5th and nothing has been done. It has been almost 3 weeks since my item has ALREADY been returned. I contacted them for the 3rd time last week and they had me fill out a form, saying they would get back to me in 1-2 business days after their investigation. It is now business day 5 and they have not reached out once, only replying with generic responses when I try to contact them. I have done all they asked for, so I demand a refund, at this point they are just holding my money in hopes I let it go. Their reasoning is that the tracking shows the package was forwarded when they claim they never do that. That's not my responsibility. I did my half in delivering it on the 17th, what they did with the package after that is solely on them. I don't know what happened to it and that's not my concern, I just want my money. They can figure out the rest on their own AFTER they've returned what's mine. Picture 5 shows where the tracking USED to say delivered before they forwarded it. At the time of delivery, it only said delivered, with the normal green status. What they did with it after is not in my hands.

I sent in a iPhone 13pro 256gb in excellent condition my gazelle ID is ***. I keep calling to find out where is the phone and has it been processed. I can't get anyone on the phone and they never email. After reading the reviews and seeing the time frame. I am nervous I contacted swappa and they are willing to offer me $30 more than what gazelle is giving me.
I went to one of the eco ATM machines on 09/15/2022 to sell a iphone 13 pro i previously owned and when i was supposed to get my payment the machine told me it couldnt give me my payment and to call customer care. I called and no one picked up my call i have been calling since the 15 and today on 09/26/2022 i still hvent heard back from them
I purchased a phone from Gazelle, but upon arrival, it wouldn't even turn on. Consequently, I contacted customer service and received a shipping return label. I then dropped the phone off at a local shipping center, which also handles returns, on September 1, 2022. After waiting several days, I called to inquire about the return, only to be told that it hadn't been received yet. They advised me to check with the shipping center to confirm it had been sent. Upon verification, I learned that the phone had indeed been picked up. Another week passed before I called again, and they were still claiming it hadn't been received. There are numerous other complaints about this company with similar experiences. This situation involves nearly $500 of my hard-earned money, and I am determined not to fall victim to a scam.
On the day of September 2,2022
On the day of September 2,2022. I used a EcoAtm kiosk located at a Dollar General in Staten Island . Upon using the kiosk I entered a iPhone XS phone included my ID and other request by the machine to receive a payment for $12. When it was time to receive payment from the kiosk a message stating Well, this is embarrassing. Im sorry I wasnt able to pay you. Please call us now so we can pay you another way. *** I immediately took a picture of the screen and contacted the phone number provided to speak with a representative name *** who claim he was taking my information and within 5 minutes of the call I would receive a email from EcoAtm with a claim number to finalize a option of payment. I never received such email. I waited 30mins and contacted back EcoAtm. I spoke with the same representative *** again and asked to reconfirm my email address and I also informed him that Id never received such email as he stated previously on the first initial phone to EcoAtm. *** the representative assured me I would receive a email and he also provided now a claim number C02373562. Now a entire hour has gone by since the second phone call. I called back spoken with another representative who stated the claim has been finalized how exactly is that if I had never received a email. He assured me for my inconvenience that he was a claims supervisor that instead of receiving a $12 payment for the IPhone XS I would include $10 for my inconveniences which would total out to a payment of $22. The representative sent me a email which did not state what we had discussed as well as the incorrect spelling of my name and stated I should receive a check in the mail which he never informed me on how long that would be. At this point I can not retrieve back the iPhone XS because its inside the kiosk and I was never paid.

First time selling with Gazelle and I sent in a perfectly working, factory reset Macbook Pro: I performed a factory web restore of MacOS and verified the installation before *** as I have done with all of my electronics that I typically sell with other vendors. Gazelle is now offering me less than half of what they originally quoted, because first they claimed, the hard drive failed diagnostics. Then, upon a requested reinspection, they had -another- excuse, that it wouldn't fully boot. I talked to a representative, who yet gave me -another- excuse, that it is broken and can only be sold for parts. To be very, very clear, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the laptop when I sent it out, it was booting fine after the MacOS web restore. So now my options are take less than half of the original quoted price, or have a broken computer sent back to me that I cannot sell. This sounds like an absolute scam. I am concerned that they are breaking other customer's devices so they can pay them cheaper amounts, then selling them still for the full values.
They offered $84 for an old ipad, which I sent to them. They said that it would take 2-3 days to inspect. After contacting them several times and being put off for over 2 weeks, they finally came back and said they would not offer anything for the ipad. They claimed it was scratched(not true) and it was the wrong ipad. I expected to be offered something for the ipad, even if a reduced amount. I believe this business is a scam. Best Buy at least offered me $25.
I went to an ATM today to sell three phones and it stole all three of them and said this is embarrassing please call. I needed that money. They stole my phones.

Date: Sept 27, 2022- went on Gazelle's website to sell my phone, which is in good condition
Date: Sept 27, 2022- went on Gazelle's website to sell my phone, which is in good condition. They asked me to choose quality of the phone, and using their guidelines, I made a choice that resulted in a quote of $301 (see original offer pdf attachment). I am attaching screenshots of ALL offers (all condition types to choose from, which are $50 for broken, $282 for scuffed/scratched, $297 for lightly used, and $321 for brand new) so you can see what their site is advertising for quotes. I sent my phone in, and on Oct. 21st of 2022, I received an email "adjusted offer" of $92. Not even close to anything except for totally broken/damaged. They cited scratches on the phone, which was in a protective case & had a screen protector the entire time I owned the phone, so I believe this to be false. Even so, their scratched/scuffed offer is $282... more than 3x the adjusted offer. I asked for photos of the supposed damage and they said that I could have it reevaluated, in which they would send me pics of the phone's damage in 3-5 business days. I said yes. They never followed up with me or provided photos. They only sent me the same "adjusted offer" email. After contacting customer service again (on business day 7), they sent me grainy photos that are too blurry to see anything they cite as "damage". Those are also attached. Reading reviews from other consumers on here, they are falsely advertising what they will pay. Once the consumer sends their phone, they give a lowball "adjusted offer" in hopes that they will just accept it. I also read that some people who ask for their phone back never get their same phone back, or get it back damaged. I am concerned about this, but have asked them to return my phone and am awaiting that. I may be adding additional notes or a separate complaint if anything is damaged on this phone or if the wrong one is returned to me.

In April 2022, I got a $95 quote from Gazelle for the company to purchase my iPhone 7 ((32GB) and mailed the phone in as directed
In April 2022, I got a $95 quote from Gazelle for the company to purchase my iPhone 7 ((32GB) and mailed the phone in as directed. After not hearing anything for a month, I called customer service and was told that I had sent in an iPhone 5, not an iPhone 7. This was untrue. I provided Gazelle with the iPhone 7's IMEI number which showed it was an iPhone 7. The rep said she'd have to elevate to a supervisor who would get back to me within a week. I never heard back. So I called again on 5/9/22 and spoke with "***" a supervisor. After explaining the situation, he said they'd do a re-inspection and I'd receive an email within a week. I finally had an email on June 14, telling me to contact the compoany. At this point, I emailed the company's and requested the return of my iPhone 7, making sure to include the claim # and Box ID# *** had assigned to the phone. On June 28, 2022, ***, an ecoATM Senior Support Team member, replied in an email which stated:_____________________Peter We do apologize for any inconvenience and for the inability to field your call or inquiry at the time. We are working on addressing the extensive wait times and accessibility to our agents so we can help.We have put in a request to have your device sent back to you Please watch for email confirmation that device is on it's way back to you.Thank you ___________On July 15, I emailed asking for a status update. On August 24, I received an email from *** stating:___________Peter,We are following up to advise that we have not been able to find any record or transaction for the device you stated was sent to us.Our warehouse has never processed a device in the system matching this phone.____________I'd like to think this is just incompetence and not fraud. My request is that Gazelle either find and return to me my iPhone 7 or pay the $95 they offered for it.

I received a quote for 2 cell phones, both in excellent condition, no scratches or screen lighting problems
I received a quote for 2 cell phones, both in excellent condition, no scratches or screen lighting problems. The first phone they paid what they quoted no problem. On my *** Galaxy Note 9 I received a quote of $123. I packaged everything separately with bubble wrap and other packaging for safe shipping. I then received an email saying they were reducing the amount to $35. They said:Not Flawless Device: We found one or more issues during device inspection. As a result, we will not be able to give you full price for your device.Screen Doesn't Fully Light Up: We found that your LCD screen has some discoloration, defective spots or does not work properly.Scratches: We found that the device has more than the acceptable amount of scratches.Model Change: We discovered that the Cell Phone you sent in is actually a different model. Because different models have distinct values, this affects the offer we can make. You identified your gadget as a *** Galaxy Note 9 SM-N960 128GB (Sprint), but it is actually a *** Galaxy Note 9 SM-N960 128GB (***). (originally bought through sprint before *** took over so it had a *** sim card) The reinspection quote was for $40. I asked for images of the scratches and damages as well as of the *** for my phone. They sent the images of the damages/scratches only. There is no way that is my phone. It was always in a hard case with screen protector. If the scratches are on my phone they had to have come from their mishandling. I would like my full original quote or MY actual phone sent back to me. I finally got in touch with someone via chat. They said the sn their system had was *** but that isn't an image directly from the phone they inspected. After reading numerous reviews and complaints about this company, I would recommend no one use their services. A classic bait-and-switch is obviously going on here.

Hello, this is Juszcyszyn from Phone Hub LLC regarding my Gazelle.com buying account
Hello, this is Juszcyszyn from Phone Hub LLC, reaching out about my buying account with Gazelle.com. Over the past month and a half, I've placed numerous orders due to our high demand for used devices. Regrettably, about 70% of these orders were incorrect or had severe defects. I've received devices that were SIM locked instead of unlocked and others with blacklisted IMEIs. Many had significant microphone and speaker issues, causing problems for my retail stores. I've returned nearly all the devices, which have been acknowledged by your warehouse. After 10 business days without a refund or any communication, I contacted customer support. A manager was unsure about the delay and promised to email the warehouse, as she lacked a direct contact number. I asked for a callback from a specific manager who had previously resolved an issue for me, but after an additional 5 business days and another call, a different manager informed me that my bank was rejecting the refunds. Upon visiting my bank, they confirmed that there was no mechanism to reject incoming funds and no record of attempted refunds from Gazelle.com.

In December , I tried to upgrade my iPhone 8 through a trade-in but faced an issue with its past.
In December , I tried to upgrade my iPhone 8 through a trade-in but discovered it was linked to an account in another state with a debt over $1000 from a year ago. The company refused to accept the phone due to this issue. I had purchased this used iPhone 8 on June 19, from gazelle.com for $699, which turned out to be a stolen phone. Gazelle's policy states they don't buy items reported as lost or stolen and use CheckMEND to verify this. CheckMEND, developed by Recipero, compiles data from various sources to identify lost or stolen devices. Gazelle records each device's serial number and ensures all devices undergo a data wipe process. Customers must confirm that the device they're selling is theirs and not reported as lost or stolen. Despite Gazelle's assurances to take back the iPhone 8 and provide a replacement first, they later retracted the offer, leaving me at risk of losing my data. This experience serves as a cautionary tale about Gazelle's limitations in verifying the history of devices.

my first transaction with this company occurred on 10/1 in which i purchased a device that was listed in fair condition, as advertised in the description is only the cosmetic condition of the device. which was far from the truth. upon receiving the device and turning it on the phone overheated to which it was so hot you could not touch the phone while it was on. i contacted the company with the complaint along with mentioning the audio speaker for phone calls was not functioning. upon speaking with senior representatives, a claim was started (claim # C02110761) and it was a very extensive one. due to the fact that the resolution they provided me , would require me to repurchase the same device and return the defective one, with the situation and concern you would think they would go to a higher extent but that wasnt the case. i followed their instructions because i trusted the information along with reassurance i was provided by their staff. upon returning the old device and receiving a refund for the original device , i received the replacement which was assured to be in good working condition. except it had one of the prior issues which was the functionality of the speaker. upon resolving this issue (if they give you access to the information of my claims etc.) youll see they sent me all the devices they had in stock along with me returning each device that was defective and still there was no luck. i then had to settle for the last resolution in which they changed the device completely and it was my only option. fast forward 1/27/22 i purchased a macbook pro for ***. in good condition. upon receiving it the device went into kernel panic along with having an issue in the motherboard. they sent me another laptop after i returned the previous one and now the keyboard isnt functioning properly. im tired of them not being held liable for false advertising these devices, im seeking any restitution if possible, &their terms&conditons to be updated.

On 6/23 I mailed in my iPhone XS to be sold to Gazelle for their initial quote of $183, plus a 10% bonus for an Apple product promotion they were running. I was told i would receive an official offer once they inspected my device, but weeks went by with nothing. I finally logged in to check the status, and 2.5 weeks after mailing, the status still said "We have finished checking in your device." With no other update other than the fact that my offer (Which I still had not received) would expire on 7/23. That date was fast approaching so I reached out to customer service. I was told I would hear back in 1-2 business days. A week went by and I still heard nothing. I reached out again and again and again, and was finally told that my device had more than the acceptable amount of damage and they would only be able to sell for parts, so they were working on adjusting my offer. Normally I would think "Oh man, must have been damaged in shipping," except this was the second time this had happened with this phone. I had sent it in a few months prior and had the same experience. Was told it was too damaged and they reduced my offer by more than 90%. I declined, they mailed it back, and it was unscathed. I chalked it up to human error or something, so I tried again. Now i see it is a trend. I have heard nothing but the same story time and time again from this company and I'm certain their goal is to scam people out of perfectly good devices by lying and saying they will pay top dollar, only to reduce the offer last minute and hope people just give in and accept the insultingly low offer. I complained via email, *** any way I knew how. Finally heard back from customer service today stating they will honor the initial offer of $183, and I should get paid via paypal by Tuesday. Phew! Finally. Or so I thought. Logged in to double check the offer and they have now reduced it to $0 with the same BS that it is far too damaged to be sold. This company is full of thieves.

My home was broken into a few months back
My home was broken into a few months back. Items were stolen from my home at that time two items being a Galaxy s20 and galaxy s21 phone. That's when I learned about the EcoATM company and heard that they pay cash on the spot for cell phones. So I called and gave them the *** numbers to both devices. A few days later I got a email stating the company had located the devices, also in the email was a check list of things that needed to be provided to have the devices returned to the owner. Which were a Writen authorization form filled out by the police *** that was on the investigation and also a copy of the police report. I went to the station and had the *** fill out the Written Authorization from which he did no problem. I also asked if I could get a copy of the report to pass along. He asked why I needed it , I explained to him that the company is requesting a copy and stated the devices won't be released with out a copy sent to them. At that time the *** told me that he is not able to give anybody a copy of the report as it was headed to the prosecutor to seek charges upon the individual who had broken into my home. He said that If he were to release the form that it could possibly hinder the investigation and the person who did this might not ever see *** punishment for doing so. He said that I could give the company the written authorization form filled out by him. And he also provided me with his email address, badge number and phone number stating I could pass it along to this company and if they had any questions that he would gladly speak with them and get things worked out. He did give me the report number to pass along to company with the other documents requested. The only thing I didn't have was a physical copy of the report. I submitted documents to a customer service email address they provided me with and told them in the email exactly what I just stated about why only the report number can be given and not a actual copy of the report.

I am the victim of my personal property being stolen and sold for profit
I am the victim of my personal property being stolen and sold for profit. My complaint is towards this company aiding illegal activity and their strict nonsensical policy in returning property to the rightful owner which I still haven't received my cell phone back yet. I called to warn ecoatm that someone had my cell phone and intended to sell it perhaps to one of their kiosks. I gave them the imei and serial number of my activation locked iphone. Even with me calling them and warning them, they still paid the thief money and purchased my activation locked iphone. Their system eventually caught the red flag and they contacted me, the owner of the stolen property. I wanted to show whatever proof I could to just get my cell phone back in a timely matter but they insisted I follow their guidelines and file a police report which I did and have the police sign off on a release letter. I have done everything in my power to get my phone back but still don't have it after two months of waiting. I had to buy a brand new phone costing me $800 and the phone that is still not in my possession is still being paid off in monthly installments. I have asked how they were going to make things right and they simply have ignored my emails. They have allowed a criminal to profit off of my property and they purchased an activation locked iphone even with me warning them in advance and have done absolutely nothing to help me the victim. I had to buy another phone in this day and age. It is impossible surviving without one. They need to compensate me for the cost of my second phone and review their return policy to expedite the process of returning stolen property. I could have shown any of the many forms through my *** wireless to show ownership. The police in *** are under funded and understaffed. I am still waiting for someone in the spd to help me just to sign off on one of the forms needed to satisfy this silly company's return policy. I sustained a huge loss in the meantime.

My IPhone13 IMEI was stolen, ecoatm informed on 12/20, phone found at their kiosk.
I am the victim of having my IPhone13 IMEI stolen from me. I notified ecoatm on 12/20 upon discovering my phone was sold to their kiosk. They confirmed receipt and subsequent transit to their warehouse, where it was confirmed on 12/30. Ecoatm provided me with case number C02160628 for reference during the process of reclaiming my phone. I questioned ecoatm's acceptance of a carrier-locked and blacklisted phone, to which they responded that the phone was sold as non-functional, hence no verification was performed. Meanwhile, I was collaborating with the Cherokee Police Department regarding other stolen items and discovered a friend was responsible. With their remorse and assistance, I began recovering my belongings. I attempted to repurchase my phone from ecoatm by sending a $355 money order to their Consumer Claims, but my buyback request was denied. After submitting a theft report and a written authorization from the Cherokee Police, ecoatm still refused to return my phone, classifying the issue as a civil matter. I then had my friend attempt to repurchase the phone, providing a new case number and money order on 2/14/22, but ecoatm again denied the buyback. Despite complying with all of ecoatm's requirements, they continue to withhold my phone.

On January 24 I sold my iPhone 7 (128G Verizon) to Gazelle and received an offer of $107
On January 24 I sold my iPhone 7 (128G Verizon) to Gazelle and received an offer of $107. I accepted the offer and sent my iPhone in expecting the process to be over, I had the phone for two years with no problems, everything worked fine. On February 4 I received an email stating the offer had been adjusted citing the battery not holding a charge and above the acceptable level of scratches. Knowing the battery worked fine, I denied this offer and had my phone sent back to me on February 5. On February 8 I received my phone and I will admit the back had minor scratching, mostly flecks in the paint which I did not notice from my case, but I decided to test the battery myself. I charged my phone to 93-94% and left it for a few days. After three days the battery was still above 80% meaning the battery was fully functional. I called gazelle customer service to receive more information on their testing procedures after their chat function told me they did not have any answers. The representative said the warehouse tests the phones, and that I could have the phone retested by sending it back in. I went through the process again, and this time selected minor scratches/barely visible. I received a second offer for $89 on 3/20 and sent my phone, to then have yet another offer adjustment come later. On March 30 Gazelle claimed three things this time: my phone was an unlocked phone (it was on a Verizon carrier, and this should not decrease value according to their website), battery did not hold a charge, and scratches above the acceptable amount. I called to further investigate their inspection methods, especially concerned how they distinguished between minor and major scratches considering the "scratches" on my phone were no bigger than 1/16" although there were four or five on the back. This subjective difference between minor and major scratches is not listed on their site and according to their website causing a shift of $61 in the offer. I called today, March 31, and talked to two representatives about their testing procedures. They both claimed the warehouse covers the testing, and the second representative ultimately resolved the issue. They agreed my phone being on verizon before does not make it unlocked, and the battery was not an issue from what I described. She adjusted the offer to $85 and said I will be receiving a check soon. I received a final email saying "everything's just as you claimed". The purpose of my complaint is not to further resolve payment for myself, but to expose deceptive marketing and lack of honest inspection by Gazelle. Escalating and re-testing took quite a bit of time, and I believe most people would trust a company to be able to test their device and may accept lower offers. My experience shows Gazelle's testing processes are fraudulent and devalues product for the company's gain.
My device was taken without payment at a kiosk. It was turned in my someone other than me. They took it upon themselves to hold my device hostage with out payment. They refuse to return it to date.
Well I Traded in an iPhone 13 Pro And Never received my 290$ Will Never Recommend this And I've been waiting almost 35 days Since and still haven't received my money and I've called more than 10+ Times This company is a joke quite littery
