Best way to avoid this is to do it the way I did it. Call up your bank right away let them know that a fradulent transaction has been taken out you account and you have not given your account details out to anyone. Cancel your card and report it lost so that it is immediately unusable (Otherwise these ppl will continue to take money for as long as they can). Tell them you have already contacted the company that has taken the money from your account and they do not answer. Get the bank supervisor to make a note on your bank account saying you have reported this dodgy transaction today. The bank will say to you to call back in 15 days after reporting the transaction after which if the company do not return the money. (Which they oviously wont) then the bank will undertake a full investigation after which your money will be returned to you. Good luck

Epoch bank account charged for unauthorized purchase

I was checking my bank account balance on line and noticed a charge of $24.99 on my account, withdrawn yesterday. I have never heard of EPOCH, I have not ordered anything on line and I have not given out my account information for the authorization of these funds. I would appreciate someone correcting this as soon as possible!

Epoch second time theyve hit me

I've had a run in with these folks before and it took some time to straighten it out. They were handling billing for a service I did purchase with a one time payment. All well and good, but they then used my credit card info to start a monthly membership charge to their service, which I subsequently managed to cancel.

Since then I have checked to make sure they aren't on any billing service lists, if they are I simply don't deal.

But now, more than a year down the road, I find that they're charging me a monthly fee again, and I can't immagine what for. I will be looking into it though, and I'm phoning the credit company tonight to stop any further payments to them. They're pure slime.

THIS COMPANY IS THE BIGGEST RIP OFF EVER. THEY HAVE BEEN CHARGING ME FOR A SERVICE I NEVER USED OR WANTED. THEY HAVE BEEN CHARGING ME FOR TWO AND A HALF YEARS. WHEN I CALLED TO SAY I HAD A CANCELLATION NUMBER FOR A 3 DAY TRIAL OFFER THEY SAID OK. THE CHARGES CONTINUED AND I NEVER NOTICED BECAUSE THEIR NAME NEVER SHOWED UP ON MY BILL. THEY SAID THEY WOULD ONLY REFUND 4 MONTHS WORTH OF CHARGES. SINCE THEY OWE ME 1200.00 THAT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Received two unauthorized debits on my account from epoch.com in the amount of 29.95. Went straight to my bank and filed a dispute for both. I also cancelled my deibt card. Now I must wait for the bank to investigate further before I can get my money back. If they deem it fraud then I will file a police report. If epoch manages to provide "proof" that I authorized the transaction, then I am going to take further actions to stop this company. Nobody steals my money and gets away with it.

I want everyone to know, I went looking for a specific interest website joined as a member and was cheated by EPOCH.com...they charged my Mastercard and didn't deliver the service or website I became a member of. I contacted the so called customer service number and had no resolution then replied to the confirmation email...the response I got was that the problem was rectified, I tried to log in as a member again and was denied. I then tried to respond to the email and was told it was a no response email address. i looked up the actual EPOCH biller chat address and told them that I was frauded and the site is the problem, return my money or I will report your company to the FTC. Federal Trade Commission.

They tried to tell me that the website was no working, I told them to credit my card or I will report them...since then I've done a little research on EPOCH. Ton's of fraud complaints. Do not trust any company that works through them. I won't!

I sent a complaint to Mastercard...I got my refund. Don`t give up and give EPOCH the money. get your money back.

Epoch fruad

Hello every one, My boyfriend account was being charged 34.95 for something and no purchess were made by him but by someone else Epoch has been taking this money out monthly and it made a neg. amt. in his checking which caused problems at the bank. The bank looked into this and said it was someone he knows name that made a purchess they have been taking out this amt since July Epoch never checked to see if it was this persons account and if they had they would had found that the account did not belong to the person who made the perchess. The company should have notified the bank and had them notify the person of the account that this purchess was made and if he oked it to come out of his account. The total of 473.95 was taken out before my boyfriend knew it 3 payments all on the same day. Who is responcable for this ?

most of epoch's clients/merchants are high risk or adult services such as pornography and cam sites. read all of the print on their website at epoch.com and try accessing your purchase history from there. it takes a few minutes, but you may be able to find the source of the charges. you may have accidentally signed up for a recurring monthly service by hitting a trial button without realizing what the full terms and conditions include.

I too was charged by the billing company, Epoch. For the record I didn't purchase anything from the web site they claimed I did. I suspect it came from a dating site that I subscribed to for only 2 days and cancelled after only one day when i read the copious fine print.about automatic renewals ( would a reputable company do that?) That dating site did cancel but my info somehow went to another site that Epoch bills for, a site I never went to and verified it by looking at all the places I visited that my browser records. So while Epoch seems to want to make you believe they are an innocent party. and claim that you purchased something when you didn't then their association with these companies they should review the procedures they operate from.
When I called Epoch I would get responses such as what web site was it ( I had no idea) what is your sign in name and password ( I had no idea since I never opened an account) what are the ( first 6 and last 6 numbers (out of 16) numbers of my credit card ( like I;m going to do that!). Here's a crazy suggestion for Epoch: Put a transaction number on the charge that shows up on your card account.. They can easily find your account to the bogus web site.

Epoch is a well established payment service provider for thousands of websites. We are fully compliant with all card association rules and we staff a customer service department 24/7/365 available by phone, email, or instant chat.

For the record, Epoch is a billing company. You didn't join Epoch, but, were billed by Epoch for a site you purchased from. Epoch is a billing company/service provider.

If we can be of any assistance regarding your purchase, you can reach us here: https://www.epoch.com/en/index.html

And, hopefully no snails were harmed as a result of your post.

Epoch ripped off

EPOCH took $4, 000.00 from my debit, checking account. I just found out this week. $29.95 and $39.95.
Someone used my card number to purchase 3 memberships I never heard of, and yes Epoch is the billing company.
Epoch even admitted it that I was not the the one who ordered the memberships.
Never did Epoch ever emailed me that I had an account with them. 5 years this went on.
This is a scam company that takes money from people all over the world.
I wrote to the FBI through emails and waiting for a response. What can you do since it went througha Visa Stamped Debit card ?
How is a person suppose to know if a money was taken out of an account if they never ordered anything.?
When I noticed Epoch this week, I thought it was an insurance company and credit security company.
This is a world wide scam and robberies with Epoch. If anyone knows they're address let me know. The FBI wants to know. [protected]@hotmail.com.

Millions of credit card numbers are stolen every year and used for fraud. You can't always blame the billers who take the cards in good faith. If you were having money going out of your account for so long without knowing it, your an idiot. Sorry to say but check your own finances monthly instead of blaming others.

Epoch erroranious charges

Hello:

From March 2009, Epoch.com charged me for a subscription and refuses to let me know what service was supposed to be sold to me. I went onto the website and fill out the forms with my credit card # but the forms constantly tells me my email is wrong.

How can I force Epoch.com to give access to my account in its website? I would like to know what product is charging me. I barely sign up for anything on line, only once in a while I would sub-scribe to certain sites.

Thank you in advance. Below is the Epoc confirmation # from my credit card.

BS! This is a supposed 3rd party billing center who cares not about the criminals they serve or the victims defrauded. It is despicable how losers find ways around the law to steal from innocent people. I've had this company as well as 1 or 2 others in the same week bill my bank account from my debit card. Luckily I caught it quickly BUT I'm still in dispute and waiting for my account to be fixed. Meanwhile, someone somewhere has gotten free money because even if the bank adjusts my account, the thief already made off with the money...thief wins AGAIN! I cannot believe these rejects are able to remain anonymous with all of the 'wonderful' technology that seems to catch just about everything else. Don't tell the poster to check with family members regarding some porn site use, file charges against them, etc...you know there was no legit transaction...the fake porn site is surely their cover to make it look like someone really purchased the nonsense because odds are it would be expected for someone to deny that type of purchase. Bottom line, it is a criminal empire and needs to be shut down...they have gotten away with at least millions by now with endless small, likely-to-go-unnoticed withdrawals from unsuspecting victims accounts..consider those who have plenty of money in the bank that won't notice a couple monthly small transactions! I only noticed mine so quickly because I only use the account as I need it..never keep anything extra in it AND sorry, no one in household to blame...just me here. Blame the thieves who are probably sitting behind a computer in some other country just laughing at us with each approved theft...luckily the bank declined their request for $1100...only because I only had $10 in the account! Even with only $10 in the account, the bank still let a couple hundred go out plus many overdraft fees BECAUSE I only had $10! If I had my retirement savings in there, the money would have come right on out. So just think of how many people with nice big balances are missing money and don't even know it...those are the one's they 'bank' on. Supposed 3rd party billing should be shut down if they can't properly verify transactions.

its a payment processor for some adult entertainment website, porn is you will...
better ask around family members (spouse/kids) if they used your CC. The ONLY way its ever going to be considered as fraudulent charge by CreditCard Issuers is if you file up a police repport against spouse/kids.

You can go to epoch.com and cancel any charge they keep good records and with a email address they can find the account and work with you. If your know your login at whatever site they claim you signed up for and your email address you can cancel the subscription at their site without ever talking to a Human.

Epoch is the billing site for many sex/porn sites. They also do billing for some Game sites.

Epoch fraud and cheating

After reading some disturbing information regarding this website and other fraud/scam reporting blogs- I attempted an early cancellation of a video subscription billed through epoch.com. The online 'cancellation' process simply presents the user with a confirmation of their account data and provides no method of actually initiating the cancellation, i.e., no button or box to click.. STAY AWAY from these guys. I've already contacted my CC company requesting they do not honor any subsequent rebilling attempts from epoch.com. In fairness, they provide an email response capacity and I await their email reply to my query regarding their apparent 'dead-end' cancellation process.

Epoch fraudulent charge on my debit card

I noticed an unauthorized charge of 59.99 on my card and called the company to find out why I had been charged. The rep I spoke to on the line claimed that my card was used to sign up for a pornographic web service. The rep was extremely argumentative and kept insisting that someone has my card although it has never been out of my possession. I was given a confirmation number and told the service was cancelled and I would receive a refund in 3-5 business days, although I could have sworn he intially told me 2-3 business days. I opened a dispute with my bank and hope I won't have to do anymore to get my money refunded. This is a total SCAM!
