Someone used my card details to access explicit sites and epoch were the processing company. I feel violated, especially being a single girl. Epoch took the payment without my name. Ludicrous really. Usually you not only need the name of the cardholder, but exactly as it appears on the card? Nope. Was told that it hardly happens like that. Um well, it does with me, everything I buy online requires name as it appears on the card, exactly. My bank laughed at epochs response re not requiring name. Got refunded 4 months only, out of 8. Asked to speak to manager, and was refused and was told computer said no, so nothing more to be done. Am perusing with bank who have told me to contact police for crime reference number. The ip address from where payment was taken, can you believe was outside the houses of parliament! Epoch did originally tell me to call police so that police will prosecute. Firstly it doesn't happen lik that here in England for such a small amount and secondly, how would they find this mr zalowsky? Go to westminster and ask around parliament ? I don't think so! Could have been a cell phone I am thinking. Good they refunded 4 months but poor that they refused the rest, especially as clearly their security is rubbish. They say they use verified by visa and MasterCard securecode. If they did, then the mere fact that the guy didnt have my name would have stopped him, right? I understand that people will use porn, it's not usually illegal, but it doesn't stop the fact that I feel totally violated about the fact that someone used my card details and especially what for. Epoch, you could have refunded the total amount, clearly it is fraud?

Bank has refunded the extra. I still cannot believe that a payment can be accepted without the name of the cardholder. They say it's for discreetness but taking a name for payment has nothing to do with how its worded on the bank statement. Two completely different things and epoch were trying it on.

Epoch.com is a third party website that allows for 'discreet' billing on your bank and credit card statements. Often, the company you originally did business with is an adult website. If you've ever signed up for a free-trial of any sorts (even for products) it's very likely that it's coming from them. You have to fill out a form on the epoch.com website for the payment to be accepted, so it's often a legitimate charge that people either forget about, or don't realize. You can dispute the charge with your bank if it's on your credit card, but canceling the number won't necessarily stop them. They're very proud of their billing practices, and 95% of the time their charges are legitimate. It may not even necessarily have been you: think of who has access to your cards (spouse, children, friends, family) and try to get to the bottom of it. To make it stop, you have to cancel with the original company you did business with.

gotta love their system. I just got done dealing with billing support and having them tell me my accounts were still active when i have the cancellation confirmations in my email. I don't mind being billed for something that I sign up for then forget to cancel but when I cancel something and get confirmation from your company. Don't tell me that I didn't cancel. I wound up sending the emails to the billing supervisor to finally get the accounts canceled. Now have to wait 7 days for my $80 to be refunded by them and then however long my bank takes to process it as well.

My bank shut epoch out of my card after they processes three charges in three minutes, all for different amounts, all while I was at work.
My bank is working to get my $110 back from these thieves.

On the 4th of March £8.90 was taken by Epoch.com 'Tumblesto', from my son's account, then £34.98 on the 5th of March, then again on the7th of April, 5th of May and again on the 19th of June. He has not signed up to anything other than PDC Live Darts, and there is no mention of this charge or this company on their Website. Having read all the complaints posted here, I believ there has been fraudulent activity on his account. On Monday I will be contacting our Bank and closing the account. Do you have any advise on how to get the money back please?

Dispute any charge by Epoch w/ Your Credit Card company! Epoch.com processes payments for porn and other sleazy sites; Plus, they refused to refund when I told them charges were unauthorized. Epoch.com should be busted by the FTC, State AGs, and should be sued by class action lawyers.
