SCAM COMPANY DO NOT BUY
I purchased an ok garment from them in September and returned it just fine, following all of their rules for making a return. I have confirmation that they received my return. It is now February and I have yet to receive my money for said return. I have contacted them through email and at first received a response saying that my money would be processed but I still have yet to hear anything or have said money put back on my account. Very dissatisfied with their “customer service”.
Trust the skeptic
Let me preface this by saying I am NOT an “off the rack” kind of girl... I’ve always found it difficult to find clothes to suit my thick AND short frame. So as you can imagine, I went into this fully expecting to be disappointed by my purchase. But I went for the safest and cheapest purchase I could find and was pleasantly surprised! My dress fit perfectly, the material was good, and best of all, it arrived on my doorstep in exactly ONE WEEK. You guys have definitely found a loyal customer in me!
It’d be nice if I could get in
I own 9 eShakti dresses that I love and I would also love to get the app discount, but the app NEVER allows me to log in. I tried the *registerbutton but it assures me my email address is already registered, so it is not the connectivity issue that the *log inbutton implies is the reason it won’t launch (plus all my other apps have no problem using my WiFi). I’ll still buy dresses, but also be severely disappointed that the app glitches are causing me to lose out on discounts that I ought to get.
Technical Issue
I would have rated this app with 4 stars based on previous shopping experience; however I am receiving an on going error message" UNKNOWN ERROR: the underlying provider failed on roll out". This problem has been a constant for the last 2 weeks. Love the clothing still! ... Beautiful styles and fabric.
I have purchased a few items that were not consistent in sizing; however, I spoke with EShakti's friendly customer service reps and my unworn items were easily returned. Next time, I will try a customized item.
Very difficult to use the app
I have been an eShakti customer for years and love their dresses, so this review is only about the app itself, which needs a thorough re-design. The worst feature is the “slider” bars that you have to use to enter custom measurements - it would be so much easier to simply type in the numbers. I downloaded the app and made an order because I got an email offering a discount for in-app purchases, but I’ve already deleted it off my phone and don’t plan to use it again unless they significantly improve the design of the app.
Order didn’t go through, but took money
I like this app fine, and appreciate the additional discount. However, the first time I tried to use it, it gave me an error that the order was not able to be placed. There was no record of the order and I didn’t get an email. However, money was taken out of my account. I had to call several times before I was able to speak to a customer service representative who says that it will be taken care of, and I should get my money back in 1 to 2 business days. She said, “sometimes this just happens.” I’m nervous to use it again, regardless of the deals.
this app is awful on mini iPad
font resolution is so grainy, good luck reading it.
the 20% discount for using the app is applied AFTER any other gift cards or discounts, which is misleading.
the category Overstock is missing from the app, even when available on the website.
the website itself is not wonderful, but the app is ten times less wonderful. the amount of extra scrolling and clicking is super annoyimg.
my advice is to do everything on the website, including putting items into shopping bag, then use the app to check out, so you can save the extra dollar or two from the extra 10%

Add filtering- these lists are too long
Frequently end up in unexpected locations (e. G. I clicked on “sale” & landed in “dresses”)
Add “similar items” option when looking at a piece or let me pick different colors in the listing. I have to go back to the list & hunt around for different colors. you’re making me work to shop - that’s stupid. Make it easier!
Type too small.
I found myself thinking “I’d love that in (different color)”. Super annoying to see something cool and it only comes in ORANGE.
Worth it
We used eShakti to order dresses for my bridesmaids who are not easily accommodated anywhere else, as well as my mother. This has has saved so much trouble. This is the only website I found that accommodates all shapes and sizes and allows you to customize every aspect of the clothing for a reasonable price. In addition, because of delays my mother was not going to receive her dress until after the wedding. After contacting the company her dress was expedited and arrived very quickly! So grateful for the wonderful customer service and we will be using eShakti in the future!
the worst place to buy
Last year I bought a dress that I liked, I did all the steps to order it in the app, it said that from 11 to 14 days for delivery, almost 3 weeks passed, my order did not arrive, I contacted the app, they only apologized because the order I was not on the way, I was still in India, it made me very angry, since it was the dress that I wanted to wear for my brother's wedding, when I arrived I did the steps that they indicated on their site wed to return it, then I received a message and they never returned my money even though I contacted them. that's why I don't recommend it, they just steal your money.
Disappointed
I have loved eShakti ever since I first found out about them about six years ago. I own about seven dresses from this company and do plan to keep adding to my wardrobe in the future.
However, I will not be doing so through the app.
Up until I changed phones (I upgraded from a 5c to a 6) a few months ago this app worked completely fine. Yes it did occasionally crash but it wasn’t a big deal. However, whenever I try to log into the app on my new phone I get an alert stating that I cannot reach the server and that I should check my internet connection.
My connection is fine, as is demonstrated by my writing this review on my phone. What is not fine, however, is this app.

I love being able to get clothes made to fit me.
Regarding the app:
Unfortunately the search feature isn’t the helpful. It takes a while for the page to load and if it takes to long it doesn’t load at all. It would be nice when looking at a dress, it takes you to where you left instead of bringing you to the top of the page. It gets tedious, finding where you left off. Having a bookmark feature would be nice.
I like a dress but it doesn’t show if it comes in other colors/patterns. If it has other options, it should be made known on the app as it is on the website. What’s available on the website is not available on the app, such as the covid-19 masks.
I like being able to use the app, but it can use an update.
App mostly good
I used the app for a few days before making purchase.
I had problems with putting in my measurements. The scroll bar to choose your numbers could also close the current screen you are using, if you go near the edge of your phone, then deletes all your unsaved data. Eventually I just wrote all my measurements separately and added them. But took over a half an hour because of that.
It is great to see the dresses and outfits on models and the adjustments you want to make, though it wasn’t on all the clothing options.
It would be awesome if they added a plus-sized model option because I feel all the outfits looks great on a skinny model, but how would they look on someone us20+?!
I’m excited to see how my outfits fit, first custom measurements I’ve ever done!
Previously loved, not so pleased with changes
I have ordered from eShakti for two years now. I have had awesome to reasonable success with the customization process.
However, they have made a change recently to speed up delivery which means you speed up the process of making a custom dress. Not only myself, but three other people that I know have ordered dresses since this ‘improvement ‘ & have Received dresses that did not fit properly. The last one was so bad I actually had to return it and get a store credit. This even though the measurements used were the same as dresses that I have ordered before that fit perfectly fine.
I, 100%!, do not think this is a problem with the seamstress! This is a problem with management trying to do something that makes no sense. If a few customers wanted to speed up the process, a smarter solution would have been to charge someone extra to have expedited shipping and processing, not to sacrifice the quality of garments for speed. If a person wanted an off the rack dress, immediate gratification dress they could go to a brick and mortar store and have that experience.
The thing people love about EShakti, myself included, is the customization process. To customize properly takes time. Management should seriously reconsider this recent change. If the issues with customization continues then I may not be able to continue being a customer nor could I recommend EShakti. We’ll see how the dress I just ordered turns out...fingers crossed.

Bad customer service
If you send an email and the automatic emails reply say they will get back to you soon .. don’t believe them no one will answer..
If you order a garment and they assign a delivery date .. don’t believe them .. your orders won’t arrive on time it will be 10 days to two weeks late..

Great options for customizing
There are great options for customizing what you order- but about 1/2 the time. The app is glitchy, limited views of the garment and fabric, and most disappointing of all- Not all of the garments give you the preview for customization. That parts really a bummer bc I would’ve bought more had I the chance to see the different options.
Doesn't work on iOS 10
I'm a regular eshakti shopper and love the company, their clothing, and their service. I used this app regularly on iOS 9 and while it could have used a few improvements, it got the job done pretty well.
But since I updated to iOS 10 this week the app doesn't work at all. It crashes right after I open it. It's just not stable on iOS 10. I hope they fix it soon!
Unable to Log In
I downloaded the app because I received an email that told me I’d get 40% off my first in-app purchase. Great! I have a wedding I’m attending in a few months. I’m unable to log in. I keep getting an alert that says that the server is inaccessible and to check my internet connection. I’ve changed location twice now and restarted my phone...it’s obviously not my internet.
Bad app & website
Let’s say I search for embroidered jersey dresses. Sometimes it says there are 0, even when I was just looking at them a few minutes ago. Another issue is fabric customization. You can’t do that in the app at all. On the website they show many options for different fabrics..but most of them are repeats of the same color. MANY repeats. Waste of time. I do like their dresses…
Love the clothes. The app is buggy
I prefer using a browser for eShakti. The usability on the app feels too limited. You have to be on specific screen views to zoom in on a photo, which I do on pretty much every photo.
Also, the app froze up when I tried to put in my credit card info. I tried three times to close the app and add it again. Froze every time. I would have simply not bought the clothes if PayPal didn’t end up working, but it did.
Updated App Looks Pretty but
The newly updated app looks clean but takes away some key features. For example, wishlist shows single images and you can’t see which items are “out of stock” anymore unless you click on the item image and scroll down below fold. It would be nice if there was an out of stock icon on the picture so your not wasting your time. Also, order status is now missing so now you have no idea if your order has been shipped.
Unreliable timing
The app is fine. But I’m extraordinarily disappointed with customer service and ability to deliver the product on time! I ordered a special occasion dress 5 weeks before the event. The app said that it would arrive 2 weeks before the event. It is now less than a week until the event and the dress has not arrived and the app says it is still in “pattern making.” No response from daily customer service calls or emails.
I Gave Up Buying Something
1. App did *notlet me go back to edit custom measurements during checkout. Instead, I had to start taking measurements over.
2. After redoing measurements, getting to checkout, only then I discover I can't use my coupon because I'm not spending enough, even though...
3. Several things I very much wanted were out of stock, anyway.
4. Very many items are five cents too little to qualify for their widely advertised coupon deals. Yeah thanks.
Very glitchy app
The app only works well for me about 20% of the time, and I’ve used it on multiple devices, iOS and Android. It has potential, but needs to stop freezing up, or another frustrating thing is when I cannot scroll through all the customization options. Prices at eshakti have gone way up over the past few years. I love what they do, but can’t afford as much as I used to and they give very short notice of their promotions. Prices fluctuate constantly on the same garments.

Application will not respond
I loaded it and unload twice...
It keeps saying ‘No Network Connection Found’.
It wont even let me on as a guest.

FX doesn’t work
I loved this app and I’ve used it to place multiple orders but for the last few months the FX feature which lets you see the changes you can make has not worked at all. If I can’t see what it will look like I can’t place orders.

Can’t sign into the app
Each time I try to sign up in the app, it tells me to “enter a valid email.” The developer said they’d fix this but it still doesn’t work. Their web site doesn’t work on an iPhone, so if you can’t log in on the app, you can’t order. ♀️
