Hotter shoes and sandals
I bought several pairs of Hotter shoes and sandals before the pandemic in a sale as I saw many styles I liked. I stores them on special shoe storage shelves, I was very pleased that I had plenty of both shoes and sandals to last me for several years. However each pair I took out to wear disintegrated on the first wear, mostly while I was walking around the shops. I have thrown away at least 5 pairs of brand new shoes and the same number of brand new sandals for the same reason. I will never be so stupid as to buy Hotter shoes again as this is obviously a deliberate fault. I notice many other people on here have had the same experience as me so this is definitely a Hotter failing. The photos show 2 more pairs destined for the bin. What a disgusting waste of money!

I have always liked Hotter shoes.
However there is a comment I would like you to address.
I have had a an unpleasent experience. With not one, not two but three pairs of your shoes.
The shoes admittedly old with good uppers and apparently
intact soles. After a short while the soles disintegrated while I was wearing them,becoming sticky and unwearable.Did you know about this, or an I unique.I can't really believe that I am.

Exactly the same experience. Between us my husband and I have had the soles of six pairs of Hotter shoes disintegrating. The shoes were quite old but the uppers were in excellent condition. It was embarrassing when one pair shed black stuff on the carpet of a good hotel.
Same thing is happening to my Hotter shoes!
Free delivery option
I tried to order 2 new pairs of shoes in the online sale and a pop up notice told me that I had qualified for free delivery. However, this was not applied at the checkout.
I therefore cancelled the order.
Why was this offer not applied?
Hotter used to be quite good, but I have noticed that there are a number of negative reviews about them recently. Do they not care that they are receiving this bad publicity? Fortunately, there are a number of other companies who also make wide-fitting shoes - the only reason I went to Hotter in the first place.

The sandals were new and in their box in a ventilated room.
I have bought Hotter shoes for years.
Twice in 6 months the soles have fallen apart and disintegrated.
These are expensive sandals and I’m disgusted by the sandals disintegration on the first time they were worn.
This is totally unacceptable and I may not buy Hotter shoes again. My nearest Hotter shop in Royal Tunbridge Wells has now closed. Maybe the company need to look at all these similar problems. Why are thru not all made in England anymore. Maybe that is the problem. ?

November 3, 2021 I ordered a pair of shoes online. I waited a couple weeks, and when my shoes had not arrived, I called the toll free number (1-866-378-7811). The number provided on website did not work. I emailed and was given the same number for assistance. customer Ref number: 6957640
Then I received and email saying the shoes chose were out of stock but would be back in stock by the end of November. I was given the option to wait or to call the same toll free number to change my order. NO option was given for full refund.
I emailed demanding a full refund and have not heard back from the company.
I did receive a standard email customer satisfaction form from the company.
Ridiculous amount of my time spent on tracking down my order, calling, emailing, googling reviews.
I advise to not order from this company. It seems to be advertising to older adults.

Shoe Return Attempt
The shoes are too big. I tried calling [protected] and was told I am barred. I also tried to get a return label and it wouldn't accept my zip code. I don't know how to return these shoes. I have always had good luck with your shoes but the last two have not fit me.
Please explain the reason for the phone call not to go through and how to get a return label.

I have always had good service before and wonder if this delay is due to the pandemic and more customers ordering on line. I have nothing more to say but it has been recommended that I write more so that my complaint is dealt with. So hopefully this is enough writing!

Have just had the same experience. Attempted to print a return label on web site, and it would not recognize order number and /or zip code required in spite of it being copied from order. Tried to call given phone number and gave up after 40 minutes. What happened to previous customer service?

I ordered these shoes 30 October. I received an email that because it was a popular model they were out of stock and delivery would be 18th November if I was willing to wait. Ok, no problem. Then I got another email, further delay the 2nd December. Sigh, ok, I will wait. The 2nd December came and went. No further information from Hotter. On the 18th December I logged into my account to find out what was going on. To my suprise there was nothing on my order history, I didnt exist. I contacted them and was told that my order was on hold because the Paypal payment had been declined, presumably because of the time lapse from ordering. I could not understand why Hotter had not tried to contact me about this. I paid via Paypal that day. 5 days later I received another email telling me to pay the bill before they would ship the shoes. They will not acknowledge the bill had already been paid. I can prove the money has gone from my Paypal account. No apology has been made for their incompetence, I have lost moeny and no shoes!

I bought this item for £47.21. I believe I'm paying for a quality and comfortable pair of boots. Alas, the material used is coarse and it rubs against the top of my toes making it unbearable to walk or even stand in them.

I bought one pair of shoes from Hotter store, and I was worn only once for 3h (only walking for 30 minutes). My foots was totally in pain, I have both legs with wounds because of this shoes. I'm very disappointed because I bought this boots for comfort which seems it's not like I though.
I went to the store and the manager was not nice, she didn't listen to me... she was told me I can't receive my money back, just to replace with another pair of shoes. I didn't find anything what I like over there, so I refuse to buy something, (just to buy! ) I'm disappointed about this shop! From now behind, I will be more carefully at what I will buy and from where!
PS: Also the colour seems to not fit! (One shoe is shine and another is mat).

On 14th August I ordered a pair of Donna shoes, and got an ordernumber - WO23919588. I have since heard absolutely nothing from you! I have 3 (three!) times tried contacting you via the form provided on your website, and 3 (three!) times via direct email to customer services. I have received NO replies. Please contact me! I am well aware that I have no chance of buying a pair of the Donna shoes with the 60mm heel (why oh why have you decided to change this to a frumpy 45mm heel….), but I feel absolutely frustrated that nobody seems to care that I have placed an order, gotten an ordernumber, and not heard anything from you. hotter leather ankle boots
I was given my Hotter leather ankle boots as a gift . The weather changed and I barely wore them. I stored them carefully. Today as the weather was colder I brought them out to wear. After only an hour's wear I was completely shocked to discover the rubbery soles were quite literally disintegrating as I walked ( on completely normal surfaces) l enclose photos. The leather uppers are in perfect condition.
Exactly the same happened to me
Oh this is exactly what happened to a pair of my shoes, they were a pair of lace ups cream and tan. I hadn't worn them for a while, put them on last week, while I was walking to the car my feet felt wobbly and I noticed a trail of 'bits', didn't think for one moment they were coming from the shoes, but on closer inspection I noticed the whole of the soles of the shoes were crumbling off. I was so glad I had only got as far as my car in our driveway. Absolutely shocked. Will get on to Hotter.

I have been purchasing both women's and men's hotter shoes for many years and have always been very happy with the products.
However, recent unexpected experiences have caused me to become highly disappointed in your product quality.
At the weekend my husband put on a new pair of hotter shoes to go out for a meal with friends. The shoes were bought a number of years ago and stored in a wardrobe. During and following a short walk from the car to the restaurant, the sole of the shoe disintegrated leaving debris on the road and in the restaurant. The whole event was very embarrassing. The shoes could not be worn to return to the car.
The next day my husband put on another new pair of hotter shoes, sandals this time, to go food shopping. On his return, and on inspection, the soles of the shoes had split in two.
I have several other pairs of new hotter shoes and trainers which I am now fearful of wearing in case the same thing happens.
Can you confirm if this is common practice and what the shelf life of hotter shoes is please?

My name is maeve walsh and i ordered shoes for my 82 year old mother. Order went through and was told 5 to 7 working days. Nothing came so sent emails through internet and got no reply .
I rang yesterday was waiting thirteen minutes to get through. Girl told me because colour i ordered was not in stock they process stopped at warehouse . She told me if i change colour this would help process. So i did and she said i should get email to let me know. I didnt so rang again this evening was waiting aga in 15 min but girl confirmed all in order and shoes should be with my mum in 5 to 7 working days.
I informed girl i was very disappointed with service and would not be ordering any more shoes. Its unacceptable that my mum has to wait three weeks for an order that said 5 to 7 days. When i ordered the colour was in stock but had to change colour. Only for i rang would never have known and be still waiting.

faulty sandals purchased
On 080616 I purchased a pair of mens Everdon Dark Brown - WN/8 sandals from your store at 3 Feasgate, York YO1 8SH for £59.00p. I have hardly had any wear out of them, and whilst on holiday last week the "uppers" near the heal completely came away from the sole, the stitching obviously being defective; rendering them unusable.
I took them into the store today to be informed they were over the 90 day refund period, so was offered a replacement. There were only one type of sandal on offer at £29 which were not similar enough to the style required. I also pointed out this would be a replacement of half the price I had payed originally, but was just told this was because there was a sale on.
In the end I have had to make another purchase from Marks & Spencer nearby for £49.50p.
I was given a hand written note of "Goodwill" by the staff at your store so I can have a look at the "A/W stock". Frankly, the defect is so bad, and Hotters reputation so good; I am surprised at this limited offer, particularly since the sandals were unwearable for part of the holiday bearing in mind obligations under the Sale of Goods Act alone; never mind customer relations.
I therefore look forward to a more satisfactory response ASAP.
