I'm a retired General Motors worker
I'm a retired General Motors worker. Four years before I retired, I was in charge of training all the folks in the west region on how to handle service parts. Gotta say, I visited a bunch of dealerships to make sure our new program was running smoothly. Let me tell you, Findlay in *** is hands down the worst service department I've ever come across. This ain't the first time I've had issues there, but today was the final straw. I called a week ago to schedule a service appointment for a center support bearing replacement. I get there, drop off my car at 9am. Then, at 1pm, I get a call saying they don't even have the part! That part should've been ordered a week ago and put under my name. I ain't ever going back to this service department, even though I get a discount on parts as an employee. Like I said, I've been to many dealerships in the western USA as part of my job, and Findlay is just plain awful. I'll be telling all my buddies to go somewhere else.

In March , I bought a 2020 Dodge Journey from Findlay
In March , I bought a 2020 Dodge Journey from Findlay. The Vehicle ID # ***. They said I'd get a second key and key fob with the car, but I still don't have it even after asking multiple times. It's already November . The car has a keyless ignition, so if I lose the only key fob I have, I won't be able to start it at all. They also gave me a warranty that covers one free key and fob replacement each year for the next 3 years. It feels like they're just trying to wear me out until I give up. Not a good way to run a business.
Findlay Buick GMC was recommended by a friend
Findlay Buick GMC was recommended by a friend. I found a 2017 Spark I liked with an advertised price of $14,620.00. Upon reviewing the paperwork, the price had increased to $18,591.00 due to added service work such as window tint and a front bra. Despite not wanting these additions, I was pressured into the purchase. Regretfully, I bought the car on July 14, 2022. After complaining, Findlay issued me a $2,000.00 check, but I'm still facing a larger debt and monthly payments than anticipated.
I bought a used vehicle on 04/06/2022, and after drivin' it for just one day, I noticed a problem with the front suspension
I bought a used vehicle on 04/06/2022, and after drivin' it for just one day, I noticed a problem with the front suspension. I reached out to my salesman, and then, 4 days later, the check engine light came on. They kept my car for a day and a half without givin' me a loaner car. Finally, when I went to pick it up, they told me it was the catalytic converter and that they ordered the parts. But guess what? It's now 04/20/22, and they still haven't fixed anythin'. On top of that, they're refusin' to repair the loose tie rods they found durin' their inspection. Accord'n to *** in their service department, loose tie rods ain't a safety issue. Can ya believe that? I'm still waitin' for a response from their service department. I've done a bunch of research on tie rods, and it's clear as day that they're a big safety concern. If they ain't fixed, they can cause ya to lose control of your vehicle. This car ain't safe to drive, but I ain't got no choice.

I took my truck to Findlay Chevrolet in Nevada on 3/20 for AC repair
I took my truck to Findlay Chevrolet in Nevada on 3/20 for AC repair. They replaced the AC compressor, water pump, idler pulleys, belt, and other parts. My wife and I were traveling through the area, and after driving about 100 miles, the compressor failed. We managed to get the truck to a local mechanic and they had to replace the AC compressor. They informed me that Findlay Chevrolet had used an aftermarket compressor, and since I didn't have a warranty through Chevrolet, I had to pay $1000 for the repair that I had just paid for. I've been dealing with the service manager, who so far, has refunded the money for the compressor, minus $20 and no labor. His communication skills are very poor as he doesn't answer or return phone calls. All I want is my money back. Chevrolet dealers should use GM parts. The stop costed me two nights of lodging and one day of car rental, which I haven't included in what they owe me. I hope this situation gets resolved soon.
I visited Findlay today, 08/16/2022, to explore their car trading options
I visited Findlay today, 08/16/2022, to explore their car trading options. They had a special promotion at Findlay Buick GMC, offering up to $4,000 more than Kbb for trade-ins until Saturday. They also had a vehicle exchange and credit forgiveness event, targeting the first 200 customers with a voucher for a VIP appointment. They aimed for 100% approval and offered 0% financing with no payments until November 2022. Options included trading up, lowering payments, or getting lower interest rates. They partnered with subprime banks to provide loans and claimed the best trade-in value, promising to beat any CARMAX appraisal and offering a $1 down payment option. They wanted to help customers with high payments, high payoff, high interest rates, late payments, repossessions, and bankruptcies, assuring special financing options. These offers were for the first customers who claimed a voucher.
When I went to trade my car, I liked a few options and saw a price on the trade-in sheet. Upon inquiry, they dismissed it, saying it wasn't my concern. However, they later reduced my trade-in value and didn't honor their promise of $4,000 over Kbb. They were dishonest and deceitful, not asking for a down payment or my payment willingness.
I recently talked to a salesman from Findlay Motor Company about the S550 (Stock P11128) for sale
I recently talked to a salesman from Findlay Motor Company about the S550 (Stock P11128) for sale. I wanted to use their Contactless Purchase option due to COVID and convenience. The price of the 2014 S550 had been reduced several times over the past month. We agreed on a price, and I planned to finalize the deal this week before the vehicle went to auction. On the evening of December 28th, the salesman informed me of another potential buyer and suggested I come in the morning. I chose not to drive 4 hours until the paperwork was complete. On December 28th, we settled on the numbers. I signed the Purchase Agreement and emailed it to the salesman. The next day, the other buyer didn't show. Later, I instructed the salesman to limit my credit application to 2 or 3 major banks. That afternoon, he emailed me, stating he just spoke with the Used Car Manager and my trade-in value had dropped by $4k, asking if I was still interested. I refused the deal due to this bait and switch tactic. The trade-in value according to KBB is $37k-$40k. The dealer's initial offer of $36k was low but acceptable. It's disappointing the salesman didn't do his research, fabricated a buyer to pressure me, and then reduced my trade-in value by $4k. The dealership ran my credit without consent on terms I didn't agree to. Now, I have a credit inquiry affecting my score. I'm requesting Findlay to remove the unauthorized inquiry to rectify this.
04/28/2022 This dealership takes scamming to the next level
04/28/2022 This dealership takes scamming to the next level. I was sold an "extended warranty" for a car that was still covered by factory warranty. Turns out the warranty they sell (from IAS First Centennial) starts the day you drive off the lot. So when your factory warranty runs out, so does your $3200.00 so-called "extended warranty". You will find this out when you try to use the warranty or cancel the warranty. I was personally allowed to review warranty options and picked a 60k warranty and was informed that it would start when the factory warranty ended (covered to 96k). When I went to the car lot in *** to try to sort this out, I was informed by *** that if I was dumb enough to buy a *** fusion then I was dumb enough to get sold a warranty that I didn't need. Yeah ***, hence the 60k extended warranty. *** also advised me to request the hidden docs they don't show you, like detailed warranty paperwork, so I don't get scammed next time. Good advice. I also called the warranty company (IAS First Centennial) and they confirmed that they do not sell extended warranties and it starts as soon as you drive off the lot. When I did finally receive all the paperwork there was a signed copy of the warranty (for 36k, I should have looked more closely when signing), but the effective dates were not stated at all. They were also aware that Findlay was selling useless policies to unsuspecting customers. NOTE: I tried to obtain a copy of my paperwork from Financing for weeks but was ignored by ***, who is the person who scammed me. It took considerable effort to obtain this information and I ended up having to show *** in person. 04/29/2022-UPDATE After posting the below info online I received a call from a very aggravated *** who requested my presence in his office for a closed-door meeting. I politely refused stating that enough of my time and money had been wasted. He insisted on the meeting. (I was also called an hour previously f
