I have been a customer of FAB Egypt bank for five years. Originally the bank was Audit bank until been acquired by FAB couple of years ago.
I requested a credit card in December and filled the required forms by then at the branch. In one day i got three calls from various employees from the bank verifying the address and work data (two calls were simultaneously) which reveals the level of unprofessionalism as there is no minimum coordination made among the bank employees. Today (15 January 2024) i called the customer service at 12:20 PM to inquire on the status of my application, the representative informed me that the request has been rejected on the 18th of December. I asked for the reason and why i have not been notified and her response was reason are typically not mentioned and therefore she has nothing to say to me and it is my responsibility to check the application status as the bank does not have to update customers!
I requested filing a complaint, she advised me that there is no category for my complaint and hence she can not take it.
I request someone from the bank to call me to inform me the reason for declining my request and why i have not been notified for whole month as i believe this is the least i deserve as a customer.
