After an employee did not submit my payment on time, I had a derogatory 30 day late payment on my credit report. Despite going to the branch several times an confirming auto-pay was correctly set up, I still received a late payment notification. Staff assured me this would be corrected since they were at fault, but here we are - after several letters and in-person meetings- years later and it is still not resolved and is negatively affecting my credit.

I had a car I was financing with them
I had a car I was financing with them. I sent in payments for October and November. They said they never received it, though I paid them by check. They repossessed my vehicle. I called them to find out what I needed to get my car back. They told me to come up with $1221 to get it back. I found out on Thursday, December 29th. They told me I needed to call on the following Monday. When I did, ,they changed what they said and told me I had to come up with the full amount or they were going to auction it.

On Wednesday, June 30th, I received pre-approval for a mortgage
On Wednesday, June 30th, I received pre-approval for a mortgage. I found a house for less that what my pre-approval was for and submitted an offer. Our offer was accepted and we moved forward. Every time Mary Goehler from the mortgage dept called, she asked for additional documentation, which I provided to her within hours. For example, she asked for proof of a car payment being made by my daughter for the last year. I provided her an LOE from my daughter along with 12 months bank statements showing the payments were made by my daughter. Mary complained about me sending "too many docs" after ASKING for these documents. After putting down earnest money and completing the house inspection, Mary called me to coldly tell me that the loan was denied. They could not verify my husband's income (even though he's a w-2 truck driver) and they would not include my self-employment income w/o an audited P&L. Mary was awful to deal with and very cold about the situation.
We purchased the 2003 Ford F150 on 11/21
We purchased the 2003 Ford F150 on 11/21. We never received the title for the truck which has prevent us from being able to register and license the vehicle. We had to hire a lawyer to require court papers in leu of a title. We have not been able to successful complete the court process because the truck had an existing lien for the dealership (which is no longer in business) prior to the sale that was never released. This effort is still ongoing. I have reached out to First Community for help resolving this issues many times and am told there is nothing that can be done by First Community. First Community was provided a Guarantee of Title which indicates that if a clean title search is not received by First Community then the dealership would reach purchase the loan if requested by First Community within the first 90 days. The Title search did not come back clean because there was an existing lean for the dealership. First Community failed to follow up within the 90 days. This has not left me with a vehicle that can not be licensed there can not be used however First Community still expects and require payments.

We have been turned into the credit bureaus for a late payment
We have been turned into the credit bureaus for a late payment. This payment was made on 2/28 which we have bank statements to prove the payment was made. The payment was made on a Sunday and should of been processed 3/1. The business did not process this until 3/3 which then made our payment 30 days past due which in result degraded our credit. We have never made a late payment with the company or ever on our credit history. We contacted first community and were told to go to a branch with bank statements and credit report to dispute within the company. To our surprise we went with all documentation to be told they could not do anything within and to dispute with credit bureaus. After disputing with the bureaus we were told to dispute with the credit union but we can not considering we were turned away saying they could not do so. This is unprofessional and degrading to our family. We are hard working citizens who always pay there bills. We have never been delinquent and now since the company will not negotiate or help we are left with this on our credit for 7 years. It is awful and I will not recommend anyone to this credit union based on our experience unless it is resolved. I have tried working with them and the customer service has been awful. We are paying the price due to the credit union not processing the payments resulting in our family taking the hit.

We have banked with First Community Credit Union for 15 to 20 years with relatively few issues until fairly recently
We have banked with First Community Credit Union for 15 to 20 years with relatively few issues until fairly recently. About two weeks ago I tried to make a deposit of four small checks into a savings account. Two of the checks ($40 each) were 3rd party to my son signed over to me, the teller refused to deposit them even though they were for a small fraction of what I had in my account that day. When asked how I could get them cashed the teller essentially told me I could bring my son in so that they could verify his signature. The checks have been on my desk until my son gave me another on this past weekend and I tried to take all three to the bank this afternoon. I am immune deficient, retired, have balance issues and due to Covid concerns leave home a couple times a month; however today I ventured out again and went to the First Community drive through window where they refused to deposit the three checks ($40 each); a small fraction of my account balances! When a verbal confrontation began with the same teller, he lied about what he had told me two weeks earlier. This time the story was that they needed my son's signature on file so they can verify that he actually signed the checks over to me. I still don't know for sure what it will take to deposit these checks. I understand the POTENTIAL problems banks have with 3rd party checks; however, considering our past history with First Community, the amount we have on deposit and Covid concerns this seems absolutely absurd and simply stupid. If it is an absolute policy by First Community not to process a 3rd party check with no consideration of client history it tells me they have no real interest in customer service.

On May 5 @ 1250, after waiting in a long drive up lane, I gave the teller _two_ receipts (for $15 and $300) JMB (from receipt) took it upon themself to combine deposits into a single deposit. Having discovered the mistake too late to call on May 5 I called on May 6 at 0920 *** and spoke with a woman named ***. I explained the problem that I had two deposits and I have always received two receipts one for each deposit but in this case I received a single receipt. *** found the transaction, spoke with someone at the branch, and said that they would correct the deposit that day (May 6) and asked if I wanted my receipt? I said yes and she offered to allow me to pick up the receipts at the drive thru or they would mail them to me. I said to mail them. Everything seemed fine or at least as fine as it could be. On Thursday May 14 at 1245 I called back and spoke with ***. I explained the situation and that I was still waiting for my receipts. *** stated that the branch had to send the receipts to their corporate office and they would mail them to me. That the receipts would have been mailed either May 8, a friday, or May 11, a Monday, and that I needed to allow 10 business days for the receipts to reach me. Today Tuesday June 2 is exactly 4 calendar weeks after First Community's mistake. It is 18 business days since I spoke with *** and 12 business days since I spoke with ***. I have NOT YET RECEIVED THE PROMISED RECEIPTS! Today I called First Community Credit Union and spoke with ***, in their call center. She sees the transaction and the correction. I ask why I have not yet received the promised receipts. *** offered to print out a portion of my statement, but that is not the receipt I was promised! *** then put me on hold and called the branch. When *** returned she claimed that they tried to print a receipt and could not. Just to prevent First Community Credit Union from playing the confidentiality card I enclose the following: I Jesse Tutterrow of legal age and mentally competent, a resident of Saint Louis, MO, and a depositor / member of said credit union hereby authorize First Community, their employees, agents, or assignees to communicate with the ComplaintsBoard.com to resolve this problem.
