Payment Depot is the worst experience in business
Payment Depot is the worst experience in business. I talked to them before the season started to get everything right, but they had an issue with my account and froze it. I sent them all the info they needed, but they just made up excuses. I had a call with the bank and a Payment Depot rep, and they said they won't release my funds because I didn't have enough money in my account. I run a seasonal business and needed that money for my employees and expenses. They've robbed me of a lot of business. The worst part is they won't release any of my funds until 90 days are up, even if I had enough to cover some of it. Don't use this company, they won't help you. Pay the extra 1% for a reliable company.
We started using Payment Depot for our first credit card processing
We started using Payment Depot for our first credit card processing. My sales rep, who was ***, said she understood our business because she had a family member in the same industry. However, she didn't explain things to me very well. When I needed support, she was nowhere to be found. She never responded to my emails or calls when I had issues. The bank they work with is terrible. They placed a cap on how much we could charge, so they held back thousands of dollars until their problems were resolved. They took money out of our account in just one day, but it took them months to put it back when they realized they had made numerous mistakes. They couldn't even provide me with reports of the money coming in and going out. They made several mistakes with our company. The only person at Payment Depot who actually helped and made me feel like they cared was ***. Even when she went on vacation, she still answered my emails and calls because she knew how many problems *** was causing me. When I called ***, the two people I spoke to were terrible. *** gave me a number to call back, but it was disconnected and he never called me back. *** was another person who treated their customers horribly. I understand that *** is the main culprit for all our issues, but Payment Depot didn't stand up for me. As a new customer, I was treated so poorly that I couldn't wait to leave them. I would never recommend Payment Depot, especially since they work with the terrible *** processing bank. Now, I process my *** payments directly with ***. There are no hidden fees, it's easy to get help, and most importantly, there's no limit on how much I can charge. It's been fantastic.

I called twice to cancel my account and both times they said they would call me back about it
I called twice to cancel my account and both times they said they would call me back about it. It's been more than 3 weeks since my last call and I still haven't heard anything from them.
I complained 'bout this biz in August (complaint #***)
I complained 'bout this biz in August (complaint #***). They said they'd close the account, but now they charged me $79 again for a service that was ended. I want my money back, I want 'em to take me off their customer list, and I want 'em to stop chargin' me. Thank you
I keep telling them to stop contacting me
I keep telling them to stop contacting me. I've asked them multiple times to stop bothering me, but they keep contacting me for their service. I've repeatedly told them that I'm not interested in doing business with them, but they still contact me. How can I make them stop? This feels like harassment. Can you please tell them to stop contacting me? I really don't want to do business with them at all. Thank you kindly.

I wanted to close my account
I wanted to close my account. I called Payment Depot many times and every time I got only answering service. Despite many messages I left, no one from the company ever returned my calls. I also emailed Payment Depot requesting to close my account, again no one responded to my emails. I've already stopped processing cards with them. By ignoring my account closing request, they can continuously charged me monthly service fee. I want my account closed immediately!
I called Payment Depot on 7/22/22 at 11:17 am to close my account
I called Payment Depot on 7/22/22 at 11:17 am to close my account. The operator told me that someone specific had to call me back before my account could be closed. They couldn't give me any more info. I also sent a letter through priority mail (P.O. ***- the post office said the zip code on statements, ***, is wrong) to confirm that I want to cancel my account. The company hasn't called me back or acknowledged my letter. I want my account closed before they charge me for another month. I think their policy of having someone specific call about account closures is just a way to delay.
Payment Depot always be tryin' to overcharge us
Payment Depot always be tryin' to overcharge us. They sent us our October statement, but we didn't get it until mid-November. And now they wanna charge us an extra $99 for December. They told us to get in touch within 30 days, but when we call, they never answer! All we get is some answering service that never returns our calls. This ain't the first time we've had this problem. Just six months ago, they signed us up for a monthly service at $20, but then they keep tryin' to charge us more within the contract period. And the worst part is, you can't even talk to 'em! When you call as a new business, they pick up right away. But as soon as you mention an account or billing issue, they put you on hold and the answering service says someone will call you back. But they never do. They won't even respond to our emails. It's a shady practice they got goin' on.
I signed up with Payment Depot 'cause the salesperson promised me I could connect their portal to my site
I signed up with Payment Depot 'cause the salesperson promised me I could connect their portal to my site. They also said they'd be quick to respond to my urgent needs. But they let me down on the urgent stuff, and their portal can't be integrated with my site. I asked to cancel, but they don't seem to have a clear policy for that. Instead, they started sending scary collection letters through some other company. I've asked to cancel and get my money back multiple times since then. I even messaged the person who said they'd cancel my account and give me a refund. But this morning, I got charged for another subscription by PaymentDepot. I think they're being sneaky and mean. I just want them to actually cancel my subscription and refund the charges since I asked to cancel.
Phillips Farms is a merchant and has a contract with Payment Depot to process credit card transactions
Phillips Farms is a merchant and has a contract with Payment Depot to process credit card transactions. There are outstanding payments due to Phillips Farms that haven't been made. There were issues in the back-end processing that were never resolved despite many emails and phone calls. These go back to early 2020 and there have been promises of resolution but no payments have been received. Mike Wise was the customer service representative and Leylani Wambui is the supervisor. My understanding is that there are over $6,000 in charges that Phillips Farms hasn't received. We were assured that there would be no chargebacks that would be Phillips Farms' responsibility. There was another company mentioned in the conversation, First Data, and an unknown bank. I have all of the emails saved and available if needed. I have contacted the Federal Trade Commission and was referred to the ComplaintsBoard.com to try and resolve this issue.
I had the displeasure of working with Payment Depot, the laziest, unresponsive, unhelpful, and brain-dead person I've ever encountered
I had the displeasure of working with Payment Depot, the laziest, unresponsive, unhelpful, and brain-dead person I've ever encountered. I decided to close my account because their company is unresponsive, and if you're lucky, you have to wait an hour to talk to someone. They said, "Great, we'll close it out today." However, for three months, I kept receiving $100 charges every month. It was impossible to reach anyone; it's like nobody works there. I asked what was going on, and they asked if I filled out the form I was supposed to receive. They never mentioned any form when I closed the account. They didn't explain the process or inform me about any form I needed to sign. I never received any form from them, and after three months, I finally managed to close the account. However, they refused to refund the $300 charge due to their disorganization and incompetence. Avoid this company and save your money, time, and sanity. It feels like a trap.
Payment Depot processes our credit and debit card transactions
Payment Depot processes our credit and debit card transactions. When we signed up, we decided to have customers cover the credit card surcharge, which is now 4%. We were informed that there would be a 2% fee for debit card transactions that our business is responsible for paying, as surcharging debit cards is illegal. However, upon reviewing our merchant statements, I noticed that our business is being charged a 4% fee instead of the expected 2% fee on all debit card transactions. I have been trying to contact Payment Depot since November '21 to rectify this issue and receive a refund.
Our Payment Depot sales representative, ***, who is now a Stax payment consultant, was in touch with me a few times for about a week and a half. He faced difficulties in finding someone who could view our transactions on the backend. He intended to refund our business (which currently amounts to hundreds of dollars), replace our terminal, and set us up with Stax's in-house surcharge program to resolve the technical issues we were experiencing. However, we were later informed that they no longer offer the software they initially set us up with due to similar issues. Since then, I have reached out to him three times via email and twice via phone, but have not received a response.
I also contacted Leylani Wambui, the customer service manager, regarding this matter. After a few attempts, she finally responded. She explained that debit cards incur a 2% fee for our business, while customers are charged 4% on credit cards, which aligns with our understanding. She stated that this is how the surcharge system works and that our account has been set up accordingly, making a refund impossible. However, the problem persists as our company continues to be charged a 4% fee on debit cards since day one. I have reiterated this issue to her, but unfortunately, I have not received a reply.
Additionally, I reached out to ***, the director of services, via email and phone, but have not received a response. I have kept all the emails and merchant statements as evidence of our communication and the charges we have incurred.
