First Gulf Bank [FGB] clearance certificate.

Dear Team,

Please ignore the above email as it was sent incompletely.

I would like to formally file a complaint against FAB customer service and trust me, Honestly, this guys have the worst customer service ever!

I had a Flexi account and a card with FAB bank and since I am approaching for a loan from ADCB Bank, they wanted to buy out these two cards of mine.

Now, I have followed the process from my end clearly but below are the points where they have been very irresponsible and has caused a huge inconvenience to me.

* First, they informed me about the wrong outstanding amount.
* Then I applied for liability letter accordingly and they promised me to issue it in 3 days wherein they took 10 days for the same. (You can check the call recording)
* Based on this fake promise, I planned my next steps, booked flight tickets to India, booked an appointment for a lawyer and also booked an appointment with CIDCO for the registration of my flat in India and also applied for annual leave which all got wasted and I had to bear all the loss!
* Now when this is not done on 4th day, I use to call them every day 2 times till the next 7 days and then finally I got the liability letter!
* Now the liability letter had a completely different amount which included the interest of all the 4 years which was not communicated to me earlier and even when I m paying them 3 years before the tenure of loan period they are charging me the interest for all the 4 years!
* Now since I m in urgent need of the loan, I agreed with that as well and my bank issued the cheque.
* Later, I have requested them to issue a clearance letter urgently as the liability was already delayed and I was wasting my annual leaves and the managers - Mr. Abhineet, Manoj, Rehman confirmed the same.

From 15th again, I m following up with them for my clearance certificate but I have not even got an update till today!

Can u all believe, I m still on my annual leaves waiting here for the clearance letter to get issued and then only ADCB bank release the amount in my account.

On top of all this - I will be charged EMI for my loan from ADCB from 4th April itself wherein I haven't received any penny yet!

Can your team please help me with this as I am really stuck here and I don't know in which language I shud speak to them and make them understand my poor situation here.

I really don't know why are they not taking this seriously as I am paying them all the fees and charges correctly.

PLEASE HELPP!

First Gulf Bank [FGB] unethical behavior

To the Senior Management of FGB,

I writing this email hoping the the higher Senior Management of the FGB, would pay attention and hear out my complaint and request.
I was having a credit card with FGB where i have been paying monthly minimum amount for so many years. There are times that whenever i have extra from my budget, i always try to pay more than the minimum amount. If you will check my record, i am pretty sure that you can actually consider me as a good payee. In fact, there was even a time where i have paid off all outstanding balance on my FGB credit card.
It was in last quarter of 2016 (if I can recall) when i finally decided to visit the FBG office (after one of my friend advised) and seek assistance on how i can reduce my outstanding amount since i have been paying the monthly min. amount. FGB offered me a plan where i have to pay, AED2, 930 per month for 36 months. During that time, i was very much confident that based on my financial status, i should be able to cover it.
Unfortunately, last December 2017, I had requested for my salary advance as i had to travel back home on 2nd week December 2017 after my mother in law was diagnosed with staged 4th cancer. I am the breadwinner in the family and given the situation, my financial structure and stability was changed. I came back to Dubai on 3rd week of January 2018. That time, i had already missed out my 9th January 2018 due date with FGB and so their agent been calling me. That time, i was able and managed to find ways to pay my due amount a week after i came back.
My Feb 9 due with FGB date came again. This time, i already knew it would be impossible for me to cover it as i have received less salary due to the unpaid leave they have to deduct from my salary plus the advance salary i took in December. In fact, i was not even able to pay for my house rent in February and i am grateful for the understanding of my landlady. During this time, FGB agent have been calling calling me every now and then. I explain my situation and was requesting if there is any possibility to reduce my monthly due in order for me to comply on the monthly payment. Without even hearing me out, the agent immediately saying that there is nothing else they can do, I have to pay. I told to the agent that of course I am the interest to pay but only thing is that, I am requesting to reduce the monthly amount due so I can comply. Although I had to faced difficulties and full patience talking to her way of talking (agent is raising her voice), I tried all my best to convince her to at least try to speak to her Supervisor regarding my request.
Surprisingly, the next call I received from the agent is an offer of restructure payment where I have to pay AED5, 500+ If I'm not mistaken. I told to the agent that offered structure doesn't make any sense at all. If I can manage to pay AED2, 920 per month, then I do not have to missed out my monthly due with FGB and my request is to reduced my monthly due and not to increase.
The next call I received from the FGB agent was a call from the most ill-mannered and uncivil abusive person on Earth, I would say. She was shouting from the very beginning of the call as if you are being threated like a trash. She was not letting you speak at all and this kind of treatment can really give you a very traumatic experience and injustice effect to you psychologically with all the threat they're throwing to you.
Hoping to get the right person to talk to, I decided to wrote an email to FGB (nishant.[protected]@bankfab.com) on 14th march with regards to my request and to raise the matter on the unethical behavior of the agent for which I didn't receive any reply (as usual). Please also review the previous email communication I had with vimla.[protected]@fgb.ae
I called the FGB [protected] and spoke the FGB agent, which I just realized now, while writing this email that must be the same agent who was calling and talking to me unethically, same agent I am written the email to, and the same agent who hanged up the call on my face this evening when I called.
Now, I am taking another chance and hoping that the higher management of FGB would pay really look on this email of mine and would hear me out.
I am not running away from my obligation to pay neither wish to receive this kind of treatment from this ill-mannered agent of FGB but instead, requesting to restructure my scheme into 4years probably to reduce the monthly due and to take out the interest on it so I can finally close this matter with FGB.
I also believe that the FGB higher management should take time to review and look into the procedure especially on how they're agent handle their clients in this kind of scenario. Regardless of my delayed payment, the FGB agent do not have any right at all to treat me that way. Please review all the call recordings between me and the agent.
I will look forward to hear from FGB on this sentiment and request of mine.
My contact record is still the same, [protected]@yahoo.com / [removed] in case you wish to reach me.

Best regards,

This also happened to me. There's this Indian lady who's calling me and told me that she is from collections department then after she's telling me that she's from legal department. She's very rude. I was asking her for her full name and email address for my reference but she always refuse to give it to me and she always says that Nishant Baindur, her manager is sending the email. And just last Monday, March 26, 2018. She called me again. I've been telling them my situation but they don't have the intention to listen. I asked her for her full name again and email address but she raised her voice, she's shouting. So I told her that I will complain her to the police that she's harassing me and she said "go and complain I need your payment now!". I even sent emails to Nishant several times already but he NEVER responded. And on the same day, March 26, 2018, another agent named Jayson called me at 7:45pm, which is out of office hours already, and he said that this is his direct number [protected]. He more rude and unprofessional than that Indian lady. He said that I'm not doing anything to pay the bank, well how could he say that, he doesn't even know me personally, he doesn't see me and doesn't know my situation. So I asked for his name and email address also for my reference and not to prolong our conversation anymore, and he's shouting at me and he's telling "you always threaten the bank! you don't have the right to complain! you need to pay now! this is the last time you will threaten us!". Well in the first place, I'm not threatening anyone. I don't see anything wrong in asking their names and email addresses for my reference. Secondly, if I say I will complain them to the police because the are harassing me, then I am not threatening them. They are really harsh. You can check the call recordings and see how they talk to their customers. Not unless they deleted the call recordings. Third, he doesn't know me, see me and he doesn't know my situation for him to shout at me and tell me that I am not doing anything to pay them. It's only February and March that I was not able to pay because of my financial situation. And he's saying that I am not paying after the restructure plan has given to me. You need to make further review first Jayson! And lastly, I am still a customer so I have the right to complain, specially people like you! Hope FGB/FAB higher management will hear this.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Good Morning! I write to get your assistance in resolving the unauthorized and unjustified deductions of varying amounts by FGB from my NBAD account.

It was on February 26, 2018 when I first got a deduction in the amount of AED 3, 093. The very next day, February 27, another AED 1, 000 was deducted from my NBAD account, prompting me to call NBAD to get information on the two consecutive deductions. I was simply told that the debits, as per the system, were for "FGB Liability."
I then called up FGB at [protected] where the attending agent explained that the deductions may be for missed or delayed payments. However, upon further check, the agent agreed that I had no payment delinquency.

On March 26, 2018, a staggering amount of AED 5, 400 was deducted from my salary. This was followed by another deduction of AED 1, 700 on March 27, 2018.

I called NBAD another time, to be told by the bank's Michael Munther that all the monies, now totaling AED 11, 193, are "on hold" against "FGB Liabilities, " but not credited as credit card payments.

Next, I called FGB where the attending agent, not being able to provide a concrete explanation, offered to forward my complaint to the Collection Department.

On March 29, 2018, Melchor of FGB corroborated the finding of NBAD that the monies are, in fact, on hold and not credited as payments to FGB.

I am diligent in paying my credit cards with both NBAD and FGB, and have no other liabilities with them. I have not defaulted on any monthly payment also.

Now, my current account with NBAD shows a balance of -AED 3, 600.

Given the circumstances involving two banks - that have recently merged adding to the complexity of the situation - as described above, I am impelled to bring my dilemna up to the Central Bank. I hope that by doing so, I will get a speedy resolution to my case and get access to the monies that are lawfully mine.

I hope for your positive reply. Thank you!

Best Regards,

Joyce Quimsing

I have requested for cheque book request on 25 th Feb 2018 at FGB/FAB Salam Street branch.Customer care representative, named Macit /Cheril who attended updating my visa and emirates ID and cheque book request confirmed within 4-5 days i will be receiving cheque book. Even after 8 days no update . when i checked with the salaam street branch-on 05th of feb, they updated me that they send the documents for processing day before 5th . i got shocked, after 5 days only they send the documents for processing. it will again take 4-5 days for processing even more. The Branch staff is really unhelpful and even not responding to the customer requests properly, they are just treating as we are requesting to do something . even after 2 weeks there is no update where is cheque book request, when it will get delivered. even tried with Call center and there also no update. they mentioned the details are not updated yet in the system, no status also.
mailed to salaam street branch manager as well to sort out the issue as part of my loan acquiring i have to submit the security cheques as soon as possible to avoid the cancellation. clearly mentioned my concerns, there is no response at all even after multiple mail from the respected managers, then how the staff will respond.

I am very disappointed with the customer supporting services.

First Gulf Bank [FGB] poor feedback cheating customers

Responsible person in FGB
With reference to the credit card and complaint raised vide [protected], repeated calls and follow up, still the status is in process.

I request some responsible personnel if available in FGB to attend to my case and try to resolve.

For the error done on part of FGB end, customer has to bear the consequence. i did not receive the balance transfer i requested to my account, as the account no was taken incorrectly. while i have to pay for the installments for the amount which never touched my account. Its quite ridiculous . w

i had raised complaint on 15th nov, and repeated calls on every day basis till 30th nov the answer was IT IS IN PROCESS.It takes how many days for a reputed bank like FGB to find solution to the mistake committed from FGB itself. Hope its quite understood that the credibility of the bank lies in customers hands.

i hope there is some senior persons who can intervene and resolve the situation

First Gulf Bank [FGB] liability letter

FAB (FGB) service is very bad & I am fed up with this bank. I have loan with FAB (FGB) & I already applied for liability letter on 22-11-17. Same day they deducted AED 100 for issuing the liability letter. I visited the Salam br.-AUH four times & even contacted the customer care through phone several times but they did not give a positive reply.
=================================================
FGB Loan Account Number: [protected]
I would like to inform you that I have applied for liability letter in FAB (FGB) bank on 21st November 2017 but until today I have not yet received it. I contacted the Salam branch Abu Dhabi and customer care several times but there was no positive reply.
I have two loans one in FAB (FGB) and the other in ENBD. My wife lost the job so I am finding it difficult to pay the loan with high interest and I could not pay the two EMI and credit card (FAB EMI AED 2887/-, ENBD EMI 2974/-and Credit Card AED 1700/-).
ADCB bank agreed to consolidate my total debt with all the banks and they approved salary transfer loan with very low interest and will cover all liabilities with multiple banks.
I applied for liability letter in ENBD on 21st November 2017 and already I got it on 3rd December 2017. But I did not get it from FAB (FGB). They already deducted AED 100 on 21st November 2017 itself for issuing the liability letter. Now FAB (FGB) is asking me to pay one more due EMI then only they will issue the liability letter.
Currently I am not able to pay the EMI due to financial problem. So If I get the liability letter from FAB (FGB) I can solve the issues. I kindly request your help to get the liability letter from FAB (FGB).

First Gulf Bank [FGB] bank representative refused to accept the credit shield request

I have been a loyal costumer to FGB Bank for the past 6 years and have been settling my monthly payments diligently and without a single fail for the past 6 years.
The credit card number in my possession is 5242 xxxx xxxx 9018 with a total outstanding due of 15 000aed.
I have been paying since my beginning with FGB for a facility called credit shield that would essentially provide me protection plan against job loss, in simple terms a facility that would cover my monthly instalments towards the bank in case I lose the job.
Recently I have lost my job and approached the bank to assist me in activating the protection on the credit card.
I visited the FAB Bank branch on Salah Al Din street on Sunday 03/12 /2017 and explain to the employee my problem and the reason why I am there.
The employee:
1. Refused to record my insurance claim request
2. Refused to give me a refence number
3. Refused to accept the request
4. Refused my right to meet a Senior Manager
Facts speak for it self!

My credit card no. is 4242 xxxx xxxx 2010. I have submitted all the relevant documents for activating credit shield to Fgb on July 12th. It's been 4 months and they're not telling me anything. I keep receiving emails with threats of legal action against me. I have even made 2 payments after my job loss because I believed that after that they will activate credit shield. They're fooling everybody. Please stay away from Fgb. It's a fraud bank. I don't know what to do.
If anyone has any suggestions, please WhatsApp me at +[protected]. Thank you in advance for your help.

First Gulf Bank [FGB] collections department

I have received a call today at 10:52Am from the collections department of FGB [protected]). The lady was not so "customer friendly" and was raising the voice on me. I am paying my FGB credit card regularly and this is the only month where i got delayed in paying my monthly bill. I have spoken to her in a calm way but it seems she is raising her voice and was kind of being bossy. I am still trying to secure the funds to pay as soon as possible. The delay of payment was because of my mom's operation, if there any penalty for the delayed payment, then proceed with it. I am waiting for my car to be sold to be able to close this account for good..

First Gulf Bank [FGB] balance transfer - illegal charges for early loan settlement

I have recently attempted to cancel my balance transfer plan on my credit card with FGB.

I first visited the branch with a cheque to cancel my card but they provided me clearly false information that I had to apply for a liability letter and couldn't settle with the cheque. This was clearly false as after depositing the cheque in the deopsit machines at the same bank it was processed and reflected a few dats later.

Once I settled the outstanding balance I was expecting to have to pay a small cancellation charge as I has with Emirates NBD previously. However I was informed that in addition to settling the pricinciple I was required to settle all the interest that would become due over the entire remaining period of 31 months, have only gone through 5 months of the 36 month period. I laid a complaint as to whether I had ever been informed as to that term.

I received a call back from the complaints department who informed me that I had agreed to the terms with the sales operative on the original call but they were unwilling to provide me a digital copy of the call for me to review it myself. They were basically saying that I was committed to terms and conditions based on a phone call but were unwilling to provide any evidence and instead told me I should trust the bank, the same one trying to charge me interest for periods that I was not going to have any principle balance due to them, and the impartiality of the complaints department.

Firstly I see no reason why they wouldn't share this information if they are an institution with any integrity and transparency which a bank should be. In addition the terms they are saying I agreed to are even legal. As far as I can tell based on the Appendix No.2 of the Regulation No. 29/2011 Regarding Bank Loans & Services issued by the Central Bank of UAE states: "Early settlement from same bank loans is 1 per cent of the remaining balance of loan." If that is the case then how can they claim they can require all the outstanding interest?
