Horrible company!
Horrible company! They are forcing me to pay the full amount after the work is still not completed and its been 4 months. I Order 7 windows and 2 doors. The windows was installed September but the doors was not installed, caused they forgot to order the doors. I have talked to several managers and field mangers. September they brought 2 doors which it wasnt the doors I picked out. I will take them to court to resolve my issues. I will not recommend nobody to this company
Started our roof a MONTH ago and we still don't have a roof
Started our roof a MONTH ago and we still don't have a roof. Did the tear off with out having the shingles ready to go. Took 2 weeks for the shingles to come in. Now the shingles are sitting on the roof for 2 weeks. Got a text Friday they would be out to complete the roof yesterday. They where a no call no show. If you no call no show you get fired. It take just a few minutes to call or text someone. Plus they left trash in my yard from the tear off. No one in our home smokes but we had cigarettes butts in our yard. We are very unhappy.
They totally lied about 120months same as cash. They also imported my e-signature onto a contract that I never signed. They were very crafty about keeping me "satisfied" while time went by. Still no final inspection. The intrest will cost me, a Marine Corps widow on a fixed income, $11,000+. It's going to be a hardship to pay that for 10 years and I'm mad as hell. I ONLY agreed to 120 months @ $258.00. I'm not sure how I'm going to proceed. ***.

It has been two years since windows have been install and it has not pass inspection
It has been two years since windows have been install and it has not pass inspection. I cannot imagine if I have a future issue with the windows as I purchase life time guarantee. FHIA only cares about selling you their service but as soon as they have your signature in the contract, that will be the last time you here from the sales person. I have talked to 10+ FHIA employees and all of them promise to take care of the issue. No response. Buyers be aware. I have some many friends want it to install impact windows and I will not refer FHIA. They do not stand for what they promise. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
es una mala compania no responden por los danos ocasionados por sus trabajadores y no contestan los reclamos no los recomiendo
I have been waiting 7 months calling pleading for someone to repair my front door broken glass. No one answers you can't even leave a message in the service department. No one seems to be able help me. The receptionist only connect you to the service department. No one ever answer. I feel that this is so unfair to the customers.

I had a bad experience with FHIA on 7/16
I had a bad experience with FHIA on 7/16.Never will give me written contract itemized all the work was done. Call several times trying to get contract. I haven't gotten yet . Over charged! I had my bathroom in master bedroom done. All they did was shower area . They fool you saying they are affiliate with Home Depot. I went there see what happened. I was given 3 to 4 number to call. In other words Home Depot has nothing to do with them . All I wanted to know if I'm having a problem who do I call. Told me Home Depot that's not truth. Other numbers gave you leave messages and emails never resolved issues. I will never recommend this company to NO ONE
Horrible company! They are forcing me to pay the full amount after the work is still not completed a year and a half later. The collections manager hangs up on me after claiming I'm in breach of my contract when they screwed up the 18 months, no interest, same as cash financing and expect me to pay within 5 days. Again, work is still not complete. They claim they are a 300 million dollar company and have been doing this for 30 years but won't pick up the phone after hanging up on me. I started this process last June and it's still not complete as they have installed a cracked window, a window that can't stay open, and also made one window too small. *** is who I have been dealing with and he is nothing short of a horrible employee. They were ghost for 6 months after the inspection they didn't know happened and I had to remind them that the inspection was already done. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AS YOU WILL SPEND ALOT OF MONEY FOR MEDIOCRE INSTALLERS AND CHEAP WINDOWS. Don't trust the salesmen as they have done a great job in manipulating customers into using them.
They installed my back door and all windows in 2007. I called now in 2021 and they sent Jimmy and checked the back door that was not opening. He came back with Fabian and put all the wheels for the door and fixed the main bathroom window. They are excellent workers and worked fast. I am very pleased with the service. Also Lana in customer service was very helpfull.
Because it's been 3 months my house has not finished you did not pass inspection action your people do not answer the phone they do not return phone calls they they put you on hold for over an hour and a 1/2 and don't answer the phone So what I'm paying for now is not finished

This organization is very disorganized from the owners to management their sales man horrible man to their customers service people and even worst their installation crew, it strongly start from the top! The contractor are the worst the ones that came to my house and many of them came. They did my front door and 2 windows the worst experience I have had in long while with service people in my home, they broke my metal frame from forcing it into a small space which means the measurements was wrong from their engineer's. Let put it this way 6-8 mouths later and my front door still do not work properly, one of the absolute worst company I have ever used!
Ordered a shower in September, FINALLY got it installed in January
Ordered a shower in September, FINALLY got it installed in January. Then day 3 or 3 was told the doors I ordered never came in. 2 weeks later they called to make an appointment for installation of the shower doors. NO ONE SHOWED UP. I called and got a response 5 days later. Then another week goes by and they call and say...your doors have arrived. Wait...if they weren't there, WHY THE APPOINTMENT 2 WEEKS AGO (that I was ghosted for). I FINALLY got the doors installed. 2 weeks later they HARASSED me about payment for a week straight (I was out of town). Then right before I was able to call the manager texted me, threatening me, that they were going to put a lien on my house if I didn't return their call. I explained that I had just received their messages and NEVER got an apology for the negative customer service. They lie and manipulate you...DO NOT USE THEM. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A NEGATIVE 5 OUT OF 10
This is not a normal company trying to sell a good product
This is not a normal company trying to sell a good product. This is a company with a high pressure sales campaign that mimics the tactics used in a Time Share Sales environment.
Me and my wife sat through 90 minutes of a sales presentation. After that time I had enough and asked for a Quote from the Sales Rep ***
I advised i need a quote and wont give a yes answer the same day as I like to think about purchases that are tens of thousands of dollars. The Sales Rep wasn't happy with my answer and left with out giving a quote. I let this person in my house for 90 minutes in a COVID world and they have the nerve to not give me a quote to this day.
FHIA called me back and said they would send a supervisor over to give me a quote. of cource they never came. Last week I got another call from FHIA asking if they could come give me another presentation.
Don't waste your time with these people as there is no way they are running an honest business. I don't get how they have an A rating with Complaintsboard.com when all I see is 1 star reviews.
DO NOT CONTRACT FHIA As of 3/19/22 it has been 11 months since the start of window installation
DO NOT CONTRACT FHIA As of 3/19/22 it has been 11 months since the start of window installation. It is still not complete. They broke my 3 of my blinds when they took them down. I didn't notice until I put them back up. Some of the windows are out of square. There has to be 50 tubes of Caulking around just 14 windows and there still holes and cracks. It looks terrible. I'm still missing a screen. I was told to sign off for the inspection which was a lie. So I've been paying on incomplete windows (my mistake). I was told after the inspection passes they will finish the cosmetics. Well, the inspection has failed twice. 1st time they failed do to incorrectly fastening windows. 2nd time was for not flashing the windows. Yes we have leaks. The Permit is now expired, I looked it up myself. FHIA representatives keep lying to me, I waited all day 3 times for the inspection. All the while the Permit was expired. All in All the Orlando Fl. Crew is unprofessional from Management to the Installers. On the 1 year mark I will file a complaint with the Complaintsboard.com.
Scheduled appointment for an estimate on new windows
Scheduled appointment for an estimate on new windows. They asked if my spouse would also be available. I set the time where I knew this would be the case. 2 hours before the scheduled appointment, I received a call saying that I needed to reschedule because they called and could not confirm the appointment. I told them that we don't answer calls unless we recognize the number and caller ID did not say FHIA. They never left a voice mail. After being put on hold, I was connect to a person to reschedule. They had someone available that afternoon so I said good - let's do it. They asked if my wife was also going to be there and I said no, she was available in the morning. I also said that I new exactly what we wanted so we just needed an estimate. They said that we must BOTH be present for a 90 minute presentation. The call ended with them saying it was their policy to have both parties present and they cannot do it otherwise. I've had 4 other estimates and NONE of them required both of us to be present. BIG RED FLAG! Sounds just like the timeshare business. STAY AWAY!

I spoke to a sales person in Feb about refacing my cabinets and counter
I spoke to a sales person in Feb about refacing my cabinets and counter. She offered me things that swayed me to the company. I was offered 1 day service, the service could be done on a Friday, I was going to get crown molding and then a warranty. The crown molding and the convivence really got my attention, so I accepted. I asked if we could make a space for the microwave (was not told if that was extra) When they called I was told the service would not be on a Friday and I had to take a Thursday off. Then the day they came I was told it was going to be a 2-3 day job. I I asked about the things in the cabinets if they need to be removed and was told no. The day of the worker told me everything had to be taken out . On the Friday I was told they were not putting in crown molding and the counter would not be here till Monday. The worker told me well a good thing is you will get a new sink because of how mine looked. (Was not told that was extra) Monday they brought the counter (I had to take a half day off) and they didn't know anything about a sink .. the worker tried to call Bruno and he didn't answer so the worker went and got one (No one mentioned I was paying for it). Shawn called understanding the frustrations he texted me with a offer of "They bought a microwave and installed and a new sink and installed that is 550 ( I bougjt a microwave and installed... then worker bought a sink and installed ) .. he then said oh we can add on 250 for this .. I advised him that was an insult. The other company I had was going to offer the service for less, I was not able to find out any more because i liked what was being offered to me .. then it wasnt... Understand when I go in my kitchen I don't see what I envisioned
August 8 I wanted to get information on installing impact-resistant windows at my house
August 8
I wanted to get information on installing impact-resistant windows at my house. I had several email and text exchanges and phone conversations with Florida Home Improvements (FHI) to schedule an appointment to visit my house in Coral Gables for noon today, which they later changed to 1:00 P.M. By coincidence, I had an unanticipated car emergency and had to have my car towed to my nearby mechanic, and the AAA truck I requested at 11:00 AM did not arrive until 12:45 PM. While I went to the mechanic I left my 36-year-old daughter in charge of allowing the FHI company representative inside the house to start measuring the windows and prepare a cost estimate, in the expectation that I would be back in time to meet with the company representative, since I was told that the visit would take about 90 minutes. I told my daughter to make sure that the representative was wearing a Covid-19 facial mask before allowing him inside the house. The representative, a man in his 20s, was late and did not arrive until 1:20 PM. When my daughter opened the door the representative was not wearing a mask, and my daughter pointed it out. He said he would be right back, but instead disappeared and never returned. He called me while I was at the mechanic with a really unpleasant attitude and proceeded to berate me because I was not at home when he arrived. I explained about my car and told him that he could get and give the necessary information for me through my daughter, and that I would be back in a few minutes. His response was, "You said you would be here and you should show me some respect." I was stunned by this hostile and unwarranted response and figured his company did not need my business, so I hung up. If this man was my employee I would fire him on the spot for his rudeness to a customer and for losing a potentially large contract. I have a different company coming to my house tomorrow, there are plenty of windows installers in South Florida. You only get one chance to make a good first impression.
The representatives of this company that I encountered are not consumer based
The representatives of this company that I encountered are not consumer based. They are money based. I saw the add on tv about hurricane shutter and so I called. The initial guy they sent out was very rude. He was very upset that we were asking questions about the products they offered. We explained that we had seen other similar products/ companies and wanted to see what was different/ better about his. He accused us of not being seriously interested and was extremely argumentative with us. Upon leaving, we asked for his business card and he said no. A few days later, another representative claiming to be a manager followed up on the visit. We explained to him what had transpired and he agreed that the initial sales reps behavior was not acceptable. He made it seem as if he was here to help, when in fact, he just came to try and close the "deal". He gave us an initial quote for our entire house. We told him we couldn't afford to do the entire house right now. He told us we could do it in segment for the quote he initially gave and that he would honor it for one year. And so was agreed to do 70% of our home. We went ahead with the work. And even though they did not complete the initial 70% we still called the same rep/manager back roughly 6 months later to complete the rest of our house. He gave us a different quote for the rest of the house. He stated that initial quote couldn't be right based on what was left to be done, and wanted to change us way more. We told him no we would not pay them anymore than what they initially quoted. We had to wait over one year later to have the initial 70% done, only because their accounting department realized we had not paid. When we explained that we didn't pay because the first part of the job was not completed , he scheduled someone to come out a few days later. The worker came, finished the initial 70% and we paid the balance that same day. However, the remaining 30% of my house still isn't finished. The reps of this company that we have encountered did not have their customers interest at hand. Our experience with them has left us with the impression that they bottom line is all that really matters.

Updated Review
Updated Review...3 months into a "3 day installation"
After being forced to hire a contactor to prepare a bay window for installation which FHIA removed and boarded up, 1 month later I am still struggling to get this company to complete the 3 day installation that started 2 months ago.
The Project Manager (PM), has become non-responsive at multiple points during the process. After my initial reviews on multiple sites, I received a call from the Operations Mgr., had 1 conversation with him before he failed to respond to my messages.
Since day 2 of the installation the installer, identified that 2 screens were missing. When he returned on day 3 he did not install any screens . I was repeatedly told by PM, for more than a month, the screens were a minor issue and would be taken care of...the 1 thing we actually agreed on. Still I listed them on the list of many items still needing to be done. PM repeatedly told me these "small issues" will be resolved AFTER they pass the final inspection which I questioned because some of the issues are structural in nature.
After failing the inspection, 10 days ago, as I expected, for these items that I listed, PM says he will call to set up a day to take care of the many structural thing such as no pitch for water draining, missing screens, missing caulk and missing screws in all windows.
PM called today and abrasively stated that the installer told him my mother stole the missing screens! The more I rationalized with him the many reasons why this sounds preposterous, the more adamant he became. He insisted on focusing on screens that were missing which asked about multiple times, for more than 2 months.
He repeatedly stated that the installer told him HE SAW MY MOTHER TAKE SCREENS...the same installer that told me 2 were missing on day 2 and then said on day 3,,,he didnt have screens with him. The same installer that broke my lamp and tried to hide it until confronted, the same installer that he and PM said he would replace my lamp 2 months ago...The PM's shift of responsibility for the missing screens to my mother is appalling, shameful and very disrespectful.
More so, it is senseless in the grand scheme of things...screens are FREE for life of the windows and considering the extensiveness of the list of items that I have been emailing PM about and waiting on to be completed for more than 2 months...this list (excerpts to emails sent to PM) is in Addition to the INSPECTOR'S LIST for FAILING...
*17 sets of shutter tracks need to be removed.
*12 windows are not caulked and need interior sealing
*10 windows have huge chips around the perimeter of the window frame from the window being removed
*6 windows have a hairline cracks under window sill
*5 tiled window sills have chips
*5 windows need screens
*4 windows need caps
1 kitchen window has lots of exposed areas...openings surrounding the frame.
The other issue is the gray concrete put over the red brick to seal the openings created for window installation
Additionally, we have the broken Tiffany lamp which was broken and supposed to be replaced by now. The lamp cost was $200 but this is the last gift that my deceased grandfather gave me so, technically it can never be replaced.
With all of this undone, poorly done and months of lack of follow through, IT IS HARD TO BELIEBE that PM called and harassed me, insulted my mother whom also told him that she did not take the screens in question in some twisted effort to evade the real significant matters like poor construction, functional issues...even he was not able to open the 1 window he attempted to as he concluded the spring was broken and once again said, "no big deal...it will be taken care of". FHIA's management team seems to have a consistent pattern of this nonchalant response that is usually followed by a defensive attitude and a shift of responsibility for completing tasks in which FHIA were contracted to do.

Have had a repair request for a shattered front entry door window since May
Have had a repair request for a shattered front entry door window since May. Sent out adjuster to verify damage and file claim as windows are installed with lifetime guarantee. Since then we have made numerous calls to their main office only to keep hearing they are waiting on windows from their manufacture. In the meantime we have had the door window taped but is so shattered that the pieces are falling from the window. At the time of our claim the windows were less than 1 year old. We had the entire house remodeled with their windows and now very concerned about the coverage. At this time they won't even send a company representative out to talk with us on any other options. Telling us it is a special order but yet the "special order" door was installed within 3 weeks! So why not just replace the door and get it over with. Would definitely advise anyone considering this company for their windows to shop for a different and reputable contractor as FHIA certainly is not.

We hired FHIA to install hurricane impact windows and a Therma-Tru door. The install date was April 12 2022, the inspection was May 5th, 2022, and the windows failed inspection. We were then told that the engineer had to revise the permit that has already been issued. The reason why the windows failed was because they didn't install maul bars that are intended for impact windows. That detail was in the original permit that was revised the first time and the contractors overlooked that when they did the install. The inspector pointed that out to me in the permit therefore FHIA intentionally had our inspection fail. We paid them $8,840.00 in full. FHIA is making empty promises on when the job is to be done. We had a reinspection and finish date of June 23 and *** even call to say why it was going to get done on those days. When we inquired, our calls went unanswered and ignored. Our original "field supervisor" was not on the job but 2 months and then we were told she no longer worked for the company. When have obtained a new "field supervisor" but only to be treated the same way and being told the same excuses over and over again? That the engineer has to revise the permit or some letter. At this point we are fed up and tired of hearing the same excuse. How long does it take an engineer to revise something? We are going on over 3 and a half months since original install date. This is EXTREMLEY UPSETTING and not to mention UNACCEPTABLE. I demand that FHIA be held accountable and have their A+ rating stripped. Clearly, we are not the only ones to have issues with FHIA. The complaints and reviews I have read, speak for themselves. My husband and I would like the job finished because that it was, we paid for. FHIA is incompetent and has no transparency, no one should hire this company ever!
I was previously employed with FHA in 2019 and was temporarily laid off due to COVID. My then manager terminated my employment during that time stating the company was moving in a different direction. I ignored this wrongful termination and moved on. Prior to my termination, I had a 401k with the company. Recently, on July 14th, I attempted to process a withdrawal and was informed that the 401k had been transferred to a new management company, Empower. However, when I reached out to both the previous and new management companies, neither had any knowledge of the 401k. I attempted to reach out to FHA to locate my 401k, but the HR department refuses to respond to any email requests or answer my calls. As a result, I have $614 in a 401k that was deducted from my paychecks, which now seems to be untraceable.
In March this year we called to file a warranty issue for several of our windows and a sliding glass door
In March this year we called to file a warranty issue for several of our windows and a sliding glass door. They initially told us 45-60 days before a replacement could arrive. We waited the time frame and called back to see what they delay was. We discovered that the initial order was never put in. They put in the order and told us another 45-60 days. We waited the time frame and called back. At which point the customer service rep was rude on several calls. To the point that we were starting to have trouble making contact. It got to the point we had to call the new sales line to get someone on the phone. Mid August, we called the new sales line and asked them how long it would take for new windows. We provided them with the number of windows and sliding doors and they told us they could have them permitted, ordered, and fully installed in 45-60 days. Its a bit disturbing that they can provide a new customer with new windows in 45-60 but can't take care of an existing customer.

In March bubbles formed in my *** window and I contacted FHA to replace since it had a life time guarantee. I do not know if this compromises the strength of the window. I have called FHA, emailed, and texted with individuals at the company. This has been going on for a year now. They promise they will replace and I never hear from them again. They gave me a work order number and told me now the window will be replaced on 6/14. WO

Contracted for window and door replacement, contract signed on July 19th, projected start date was in October , then November , then February 2022. Each time the projected start date required that I make contact on the specific date and time, always necessitating leaving a message and seldom getting a call back. Finally, a date was set and crews showed up and completed the install, then a date was set for the inspection of the windows of June 10th at an unspecified time, with no call and no show. Contacted FHIA on status, left message. Received a text message that inspection was rescheduled for the following Monday, June 13th. After City Inspection was completed, I notified FHIA of inspection completion and was awaiting the final company inspection and the insertion of seal caps, but never received a call back. Required multiple calls and messages, then on the last call, July 1st, I was informed that the final inspection and insertion of seal caps was scheduled for Saturday, July 2nd. I was never informed of this scheduled work and was fortunate that I called FHIA. The FHIA employee showed up on July 2nd unprepared, didn't have enough material to complete the work. The FHIA employee stated he would return on Thursday, July 7th, at a scheduled time to complete the final work, but again there was no call and no show. I called FHIA using nine different numbers, leaving messages, and when someone did answer, I only got the runaround about being connected to the 'wrong department'. I need assistance in getting this project completed on a date and time specific where FHIA actually shows up, prepared, with the necessary materials, so that we can terminate this consumer/contractor relationship.
On March 14 and April 22 FHIA was suppose to install impact window, as stipulated in contract
On March 14 and April 22 FHIA was suppose to install impact window, as stipulated in contract. The company has been reluctant to install the windows and reschedules on a regular basis because of their claims that parts and supplies are not available. The contract for service was signed in Sept 2021, and service began on March 21. Given supply chin issues, that *** seem longer than usual, but acceptable. On this date, the company arrived with a wrong sized window and has yet to install a window as contracted. On April 22 the company showed up to my property again with again, the wrong sized window. During both the March 14th and April 22nd dates FHIA damaged tile in the both bathrooms and is reluctant to accepts responsibility for the damage caused as a result of their careless installation. I have filed a report, not a claim, with my insurance company USAA, and am awaiting their response to my claim. The above is true and accurate based on calendar entries and my account of the events

We contracted FHIA back in July *** our entire home. The salesman quickly came over, gave us the presentation and PROMISED that they are best in the business, always responsive, etc. The windows were to be installed in Dec 2021, which they were, except for one window, which they stated at the time it was back-ordered but should have it in a couple of weeks. A couple of weeks have now turned into 4 months, going on 5, and it's always the same story, "we don't control manufacturing". Funny how we're missing one window, yet their crews don't stop working. If the manufacturer was able to make 7 of the 8 windows we needed, I don't believe that it has taken 4+ months to make one more window (and the second smallest at that). They are quick to come to your home, have you sign for financing, then leave you hanging with an unfinished project. The salesman was also quick to PROMISE that we would not have to make any payments until April 2022 (HERE WE ARE!) and that the project would be long finished by then. We still have stickers on our windows because we can't remove them until the inspection passes. We contracted them because they were sponsored by BJs Wholesale but come to find out now, BJs has dropped them as a vendor for over 3 months. The field manager's voicemail is full, I now know why, and he doesn't respond to texts, unless we call their headquarters to complain. You can corroborate my story by the number of similar complaints they have over the last 3 years. If they would pick up the phone, be UPFRONT with the client issues and provide a timely resolution, maybe the complaints would be far less. All we're looking for is for the last window to be installed, all windows inspected and finished, and we can both part ways after that.

The sales person told us we were getting impact glass but sold us non impact glass at the higher price We were told that we were purchasing impact glass and then they applied for permit as impact replacement and sold us non impact glass and charged us for the impact resist glass and then put sign in our yard that said impact resistant for advertising. We only found out they were not impact resistant upon inspection and then looked at what they had us sign but never gave us to look at because was all online and sales person said he had to have someone else enter because his access had been revoked. We didn't think it was a problem because we had used him anc the company prior on another house and thought we had impact glass then too but we weren't charged as much then and the inspection passed then. This time inspector noticed the sign out front and asked about it when he saw non impact on permit but company said they were replacing impact glass on permit. Also we were told windows were supposed to be double hung and are single hung.

We had windows and doors installed on our home in Sept. Our inspection by the county was on Sept.27th. Someone was supposed to install the track covers for my doors, bring a screen door and fix 3 screens they installed with holes. They still have not. I keep getting told someone will call to install but they don't. The only way you can talk to a person is if you call to get a new estimate.

On June 2, I signed a contract with FHIA to install 6 impact windows + screens and 1 impact sliding glass door + screen at a cost of $14,700. As of this date, the screen for the slider has not been installed. Numerous phone calls and emails to FHIA have proved fruitless, and they now maintain they will have to cut back two inches of my floor to install the screen. This is not acceptable. I assume it is because they installed the incorrect track and frame in 2018. The salesman confirmed that a screen is included in the contract price. This is very late in reporting to Complaintsboard.com, as Complaintsboard.com has rated this company A+, and they are also endorsed by *** and BJ's, the latter of which is where I obtained the information to hire this company, so I fully expected FHIA to honor the contract and install the screen. Please require them to install the screen on the slider in an appropriate manner, as originally contracted.Order #
We contracted this company to install impact windows on the whole house on 2/22/22
We contracted this company to install impact windows on the whole house on 2/22/22. One of the windows was cracked and is now getting moisture inside of the window. The installers said that the window came like that, but they installed it anyway, (the installers were a little on the rude side, by the way). Also, the screens were never installed. The supervisor said they would replace the cracked window and install the screens. We have been calling and texting them, but they still have not replaced the window, or installed the screens. We just get the run around with them saying that they will come out to fix it, but never do. It is now 7/5/22. Hurricane season is upon us now, and here we are, with a compromised window and no screens that the company refuses to fix. I don't appreciate getting the run around on this issue. PLEASE do not do yourself a disservice by hiring this company. They will not handle any kind of follow up on your issues. They will just take your money and run. Obviously, a warranty means nothing! Don't fall for the ***!

July 16 contract for hurricane windows with lifetime warranty
July 16 contract for hurricane windows with lifetime warranty. $5,133.00 for three custom windows. Called FHA in February, 2022 for replacement request for one window (totally foggy) and a question on one other (damage, maybe a leak) to make a judgement if it is in need of replacement. With photos sent, yes, one window needs replacement confirmed. I was told up to 17 weeks for new window and they will check on the other window. I have gotten a complete run around, no call backs, no check on the second window if it is in need of replacement. Finally, the installer came two weeks ago with the wrong window! He did verify that the second window is in need of replacement, as well. I called and was told that two windows are on order, but I do not know how long it will be. So far, no call from FHA to explain, verify, or to tell me when or what is happening. They do not return my calls. Their address is *** on the contract, even though your site says that the address is not valid. So, I used ***. ,taken from an advertisement flyer from FHIA Remodeling (apparently a sister company right next door).

Originally signed a contract with this business as well as YGRENE back on June 17th
Originally signed a contract with this business as well as YGRENE back on June 17th. We were promised that the job would be completed by early to mid November at the latest, We understand that there are issues with supplies and manufacturers due to the pandemic, however, this should not allow companies to just ignore and or forget about their customers and their agreements. All we have received from them are multiple and false "ETA's" We were even notified and scheduled by the company for an installation start date of Nov. 29 which once again turned out to be untrue and simply another "ETA". This caused multiple issues for our family since we had to reshuffle our schedules, both business and personal in order to be at home for the scheduled dates of Nov. 29th & 30th. We canceled vacation plans for our daughter who goes to school out town and was planning to visit, we also took time from work only to be told on Nov. 26th (Friday right before the weekend, prior to Monday the 29th) that the install could not be done. Their excuse was that the "scheduled" installation date and times given were only an "ETA". I'm not sure how a company in this industry or any other can get away with such disregard for their customers time and needs. When any such as an appointment, visit, job or anything is in fact SCHEDULED WITH EXACT DATES AND TIMES, they should NOT BE CONSIDERED AS AN ETA. It has now been close to 7 months since our contract was signed and we are still not sure as to when we will get our windows installed.

I contracted FHIA on June 10, to remodel three bathrooms; however, as of today, I am still having issues with the work done, not completing all the work listed in the contract, and getting the plumbing and final inspection. The job was financed by a finance company and will not release the money until the work is completed and final inspections are done. The company is very unprofessional, lacks ethics, and more so no communication from the owner to the workers. .Over a year later, the job remains unfinished, and many items must be replaced and repaired. Specifically, (i) the custom closet in the master bathroom has not been constructed to date, and (ii) the panels/tiles in the master bathroom are broken into parts instead of a complete panel as installed in the other two (2) bathrooms, (iii) there is water coming out of the glass door while the water is running in the master bathroom and other 2 bathrooms, (iv) the decoration around the windows in the master bathroom was not installed, (v) the glass doors in the other two (2) bathrooms were not what was selected/requested by the Client, and (vi) the white floors inside the showers in all the bathrooms were not what was selected/requested by the Client. Shower heads with handheld attachments and water pressure are not what they used to be. The grout used to repair the file broken in the master bedroom is the wrong color. Finally, complete and pass plumbing and structure inspections. FHIA has fixed a few things; however, we still have unresolved issues as listed above.Let me know if you need more information, as there have been over a year of emails. Thanks

We contracted FHIA back in July *** our entire home
Bait and Switch tactic Sales person used a "bait and switch" tactic, presented one product and gave us another
Bait and Switch tactic Sales person used a "bait and switch" tactic, presented one product and gave us another. On 7/11 I had an in-home appointment with *** from FHIA for the estimate of new replacement windows - he presented one product of - Energy Efficient - Impact-Resistant double pane windows, even with a charade of how the glass is sandwiched with a thick laminate to become impact resistant, with a heat lamp to promote how the heat is not transferable. Alter all the charade was done, he drafted a contract, and guess what, what I agreed on, is not what I am getting. Out of 14 windows to be installed only one - yes only one followed the "impact resistant/energy efficient window - the bathroom window! The remaining 13 windows were changed to non-impact - regular windows. After I found this, I contacted Chad, which told me they are impact resistant windows, and this is done to "lower the cost" but they are in fact impact resistant. After the installation, I reviewed the permit, and noticed that all but one were showing non-impact, and this confirmed by an inspector I hired for a home owner inspection, that these windows where not Miami-Dade ASTME 1886 & 1996 rated windows but one - the bathroom window (which oddly is the only window that has the word "argon" stating is an energy efficient window. After learning this, I called FHIA and they "assured me" the report must be wrong as they only install Impact Resistant Windows. Well according to *** Professional Engineer FL License # XXXXX these are not. Not to mention they put a sign stating "impact windows and doors" on my front yard. Even the loan I got from Ygrene (which is paying for this) stated High Impact Windows I will be including pictures of the report and also contacting Ygrene about this.

During my install incorrect measurements were taken twice December which meant I had to wait another 4 months after my initial windows and doors to be installed for the other set of my french doors and back window to be installed after waiting for 6 months. I made another mistake of releasing the funds as complete because the project manager kept begging for money because he claims he couldn't pay the installers for the work they did because they couldn't finish the install due to a my french door and window being wrong size. The second install 4 months later was a rush job because they already got paid AND the manager never showed back up. So the installers did what they wanted because funds were disbursed. I have to fight to open the window and my French doors don't close correctly. 4 months later my Frenchdoor lock fails so i call up service because I have a lifetime warranty since October. I explained to customer service that the door won't open because it's a 3 way lock. I asked if my house was on fire how do I get out, she replied jump out the window. They eventually sent someone to fix the door a couple weeks later, but they were dispached to fix the front door, so they left because they didnt have the parts for the right door. Of course another phone call to customer service and no solution just more push backs more orders. I was told the door had to be replaced because its manufactured with the lock. May 2022, I was supposed to receive a call when the product was in stock from the manufacturer and was told should be mid April 2022 but they never call back. Now since they never called me to schedule the install once they received the door. I have to call them again to see what's up. No one had an answer, then the next day I get a voice-mail telling me the lock is lost in the warehouse but it was supposed to be doors . Now customer service can't get service on the line and now I'm back at square one.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A NEGATIVE 5 OUT OF 10
DO NOT CONTRACT FHIA As of 3/19/22 it has been 11 months since the start of window installation.
I have never worked with a company that does not respond or acknowledge complaints as bad as this company does zero communication except from the finance company for my windows I am still waiting for a window since last fall with zero communication
