I want to share my “questionable” experience with Flow Right and let potential customers know how disappointed and troubled I was with their recommended solution(s) regarding my furnace repair. My 16 year old Carrier brand furnace quit working early on the Sunday morning before Thanksgiving. I tried to self-diagnose the problem myself with no luck. I contacted the Flow Right service department on early Sunday afternoon. They sent out a technician by early Sunday evening. Within an hour, they had diagnosed the issue as a “blown diode” in the module on the blower motor assembly. The technician said they would need to contact their warehouse the following morning to get a price quote for the part to repair the module. I paid the $172 emergency service call. I was very satisfied with the technician’s diagnosis and the service I had received up to this point.

The following day (Monday), I received a call from the technician saying that the warehouse had the part in stock but that it would cost over $6,900 to complete the repair! He said that because of the high cost to repair and the age of the furnace, he recommended that a new furnace be installed. The technician scheduled an estimator to come on Tuesday morning to give me a quote to have a new system installed. On Tuesday afternoon, the installer gave me two different proposals of $17,024 or $21,844 for a new system!

At that point, I became very suspicious of the extremely high quote to repair and the technician’s recommendation to have a new system installed at a cost of over $17K. I attempted to contact the Carrier warehouse here in Colorado Springs to get a quote for a new module and/or blower motor assembly for my model of furnace and they said that they could not give me a price quote unless I was a licensed contractor. I started doing my own on-line research and found a replacement module for $150! I immediately ordered the module. After receiving the module on the Friday after Thanksgiving, I installed the module and had everything reassembled in my old furnace and running within an hour. I consider myself to be handy but I am not an HVAC expert by any means. It has been working flawlessly for over 6 weeks.

After completing the repair myself, I contacted Flow Right and talked to the HVAC Manager to have him explain to me why I was quoted over $6,900 to repair my furnace when I did it myself for $150! I told the manager that I did not have a problem with the diagnostics they performed. The technician pinpointed the precise issue with why the furnace was not working. I told the manager that I was not dissatisfied with the diagnostic evaluation but I was very disappointed with their recommended solutions and asked him why they quoted a repair cost of over $6,900. He explained that they simply made a human error and apologized. He offered to refund the $172 emergency service call. I received the refund after 2 weeks!

Based on my experience with Flow Right, I cannot help but think that they were trying to take advantage of an elderly customer (I am 68 years old) in an emergency situation that lives in a nice neighborhood. That is the only plausible explanation I can come up with as to why they recommended what they did. In my opinion and based solely on my experience, their customer service recommendations were very questionable and suspicious. However, the HVAC Manager’s offer to refund the service call expense was honored and the diagnosis was “spot on”. Make you own assessment. But based on my overall experience, I want to alert other consumers to be cautious and wary of any work you have performed by Flow Right.

These guys are a real piece of work. They always find a way to hike up the price and rip people off. I'm relieved that I had to hire another company to do the job that they charged us for but never completed. They even damaged the lids to our septic tanks. What a bunch of winners. And to top it off, one of their employees threatened my disabled veteran husband who's paralyzed and in a wheelchair. It's just gross and disgusting. And let's not forget that collusion is illegal. They can keep trying, but they won't get away with it forever.

Jeremy & Chris did a great job installing water heater. Arrived on time, masked and kept a 6 foot distance from me the home owner. Cleaned up afterwards and explained and showed me everything they did. Very happy with their work.

Miguel C. did a great & fast job of replacing the shower cartridge assembly.The cost was half of what I was quoted from ***.This is the second time I have used Flow Right and will only use them in the future.Very Professional and courteous.

We had a new water heater installed. The technicians were hours early and very efficient. They were finished about an hour after they were supposed to arrive! could not ask for better service or more polite workers. Will definitely call again is we need anything done.

Garbage disposal went out. Flow Right was able to get to us the same day, and at a price far below the first place we called. Miguel *** was the tech. He arrived on time, was extremely pleasant and courteous and had the new unit installed in just a few minutes. Very good job

Both of my outside faucets were leaking to the point that I had a more water below the home than on my garden. David with Flow Right removed and replaced both perfectly in a timely manner. David was courteous, knowledgeable, hard working, professional and helpful. David did an AWESOME job! I highly recommend this company. Thank you.

Jeremy and Aaron, our technicians, did an amazing job when my elderly mother had an emergency pipe leak. They were extremely professional, knowledgeable, efficient and communicative. They did exactly what they said they would. I was totally impressed from start to finish. They were honest, considerate and worked quickly to save my mother money.

Jeremy from Flow Right, along with everyone else there at Flow Right Pueblo, have kept our bath remodel going smoothly! Greg, Jeremy and Ryan, knew what needed to be done, completed the first half of the job on time. They needed to complete the rough in for us, but the cartirdge had not arrived by Friday...Jeremy brought and installed the cartridge on Monday and our tile guys was able to proceed!

I hired Flow Right Plumbing to replace a sewer line and sprinklers for me in June. They replaced the sewer line but we've had nothing but issues since. They broke/removed and didn't replace sprinkler heads in the back. They also didn't fix some pipes correctly. My basement flooded and my yard has big sink holes in it. My patio is collapsing too. They contacted their insurance company to pay for some of the damages but they also cost me a $216 water bill. This job was only supposed to take a week. I want a refund or at least an adjustment on what I paid them (total of almost $22,000.00) for all the damages, issues, overall headache and heartache they caused me. I don't know if I should wait for their insurance company. At the very least, I don't want anyone else getting stuck with these people. You can see the photos and some of this is still ongoing and in need of repair. I'm told I need a whole new patio where it's collapsing.

Flow Right Plumbing Heating and Cooling started work on August 16, a few days after I signed a contract on August 10. The cost was $20,478.27. The first crew came out without knowing the location of the gas and water lines, which caused a delay. The second delay was because my neighbor didn't let Flow Right's bobcat access his driveway. The third delay was because the crew leader didn't want to dig under the house's addition and decided to go around the side of the house to the backyard, which wasn't in the contract. The digging by hand took the rest of the week. The main complaint is that after replacing pipes, the sprinkler didn't work as before. It took several calls to have someone connect the sprinkler correctly. Appointments were missed, and the sprinkler person didn't listen to my concerns. I'm still waiting for the electrical wiring on the manifold to be done. On September 3, a crew showed up unannounced, did some work, and took pictures of the wiring, but no one has shown up to finish the job. I'm very disappointed with Flow Right.

I called Flow Right to fix a clog toilet on 6/23. Daniel G. was nice, quick, and explained what was happening as he fixed the toilet. An hour later, the valve to the toilet was leaking, which was not an issue prior to their service. When I called the office, Sonia was rude and said that it is covered under warranty but I would be charged an after-hours fee, even though it was 3:45 pm and Daniel just left an hour earlier and caused the leak. But if I waited till the morning and dumped the bowl every 30 min, it would be free. I explained that we were leaving in the morning and needed it fixed that day, but she wasn't budging. I'm not one to try to get things for free and will pay for work completed, as I paid $185 for a clogged toilet. But when it comes to business, I believe in doing the right thing, and that your customers are your best advertising. It is sad & disappointing that an after-hours fee of $145 has caused them to lose my business and respect as a once reputable company.

I hired Flow Right to put in a new hot water system in my new crib in June 2022. They did a great job with that, but they messed up my brand new stainless steel fridge by putting dents and a scratch on it. I told the supervisors, *** and ***, and they said they'd get back to me after taking pics. Two weeks ago, they came back to give me an estimate for gas service for a generator, and my girl, ***, brought up the fridge damage again. They took more pics and said they'd give me an answer soon. Last week, *** called to check in, and the lady who answered said *** was there and would take the call. But when she transferred the call, it went to his voicemail. When *** called back, the lady said *** was off that day. *** asked for ***, but his voicemail picked up too. *** called back the next day and said they were trying to file a warranty claim with , which is bogus because it's not a workmanship issue. It's their fault, but they're trying to dodge filing a claim with their own insurance. *** was supposed to call me back on July 11th, but he hasn't, and no one else from Flow Right has reached out either. I spent almost 10 grand with them, and I'm not happy with how they're handling this.

11/2. I had to pay Flow Right $333.17 more for a job that should have been done March 10. They called me in October saying they still had an open permit and the work needed to be inspected. The original work was to route a gas line to our new stove and firebox. I paid $968.96 for that work. The two guys completed the work in 2 hours. When they came back 11/2, they were here for 2.5 hours and 2 hours. When the guy asked how I wanted to pay, I was surprised. I asked him to break down the cost. I wasn't happy with the amount, so he called his boss. His boss didn't want to hear me out. I reluctantly paid to get him out of my house. I called Flow Right the next day and asked to speak to a higher-up. I was connected to a guy who said he'd call me back. He never did. I called the office and talked to a guy who said he'd call me back. He forgot. I don't like being treated like that.
