Mixed Experience with FLX Bike: Quality Bike, Poor Tour Package & Support
My experience with FLX Bike (flx.bike) has been a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, the bike itself is of decent quality and performs well. However, the tour package that I ordered with my bike was a disappointment. It arrived six weeks late and was poorly packed, resulting in a crushed and open box with loose parts inside. To make matters worse, there was no documentation, parts list, or assembly instructions included. For the amount of money that I spent, I would have expected a better experience. As a result, I would advise looking elsewhere and not purchasing from FLX Bike.
With that said, I did have a positive experience with their support team when dealing with after-purchase issues. After multiple chat sessions and a lengthy phone call, my issue was ultimately resolved in my favor. However, it was clear that the support person had not read any of the extensive notes and photographs I had previously sent regarding the damaged shipment. It took six weeks from the initial purchase to reach this resolution, so I would suggest setting aside time to deal with support inquiries in case of any problems.
When dealing with FLX Bike's support team, I would recommend using the chat function over calling. The music loop during the phone call was not even identifiable as being associated with FLX Bike, which was a bit disappointing. That being said, the bike itself is of good quality, so if you're willing to put in a bit of extra effort for support issues, it could be a good purchase.
FLX F5 Trail Bike Review: Impressive Performance & Value with Minor Service Issues
I recently received the FLX F5 trail and I have to say, it is an exceptional bike that has exceeded my expectations! When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was well packaged and the assembly process was minimal and straightforward. Furthermore, the website has fantastic and informative videos that made assembling the bike a breeze.
The riding experience on this bike has been amazing thus far! I live in an area with very steep hills and this bike climbs them like a pro! The motor is a bit noisy, but it is entirely worth it considering the great torque. I am genuinely impressed with the value this bike offers for its price.
However, I did face some issues with the service offered by FLX. Initially, I had pre-ordered a different model in April, which was supposed to arrive in June. However, the arrival date continued to get pushed further and further, and I eventually gave up and switched to this model. I am aware of the supply chain issues that are currently affecting many manufacturers, which is why I am understanding about delays.
What negatively impacted my experience was that the FLX team did not keep in touch with updates on the delays. It was only upon my reaching out to them that I received a response after three days had gone by. The lack of communication is not something I expected, especially from a company that is well-established like FLX. The delays were incredibly frustrating, and I began to wonder if the company was going out of business.
Nevertheless, the people at FLX are lovely, and I have no complaints about them. The only issue is that they are severely understaffed when it comes to customer service. So, if you are patient enough to deal with the lack of communication, this is a fantastic bike, and I highly recommend it. I would suggest checking if the bike is "In Stock" rather than "Pre-Order" because the latter may lead to frustrating delays. Overall, I am impressed with the FLX F5 trail, and I believe it is worth the investment!
FLX Electric Bike Review: Great Product, Terrible Customer Service
I recently purchased two FLX bikes for over $5000 as a Christmas gift to myself and my partner. Unfortunately, it didn't take long for us to experience some issues with the bikes. The cable connectors to the dashboard were loose and needed an easy fix, but it required a trip to the local shop. Then we encountered motor problems where the motor would cut out when it warmed up and wouldn't kick back in for a few seconds. This really affected our riding experience and was a significant inconvenience.
After two trips to the shop, we were finally able to agree on replacing the motors. When I picked up the bikes and rode them home, everything seemed to be fixed. However, on my second ride, after only riding six miles, my pedal came loose. I took it back to the shop and showed them the issue, but they audaciously called me a liar multiple times, accusing me of taking the crank arms off. This was not the case.
The crank arms were actually mounted on the wrong sides, with the left arm on the right side and the right on the left side. This caused the pedals to loosen, and one had reverse threads. It was an easy mistake for someone to make, but the mechanic was extremely unpleasant about it and began questioning my honesty and ethics.
As someone who has ridden and fixed bikes for over 50 years, I was shocked to be treated in such a disrespectful manner. After a lot of back and forth, the shop finally agreed to change out the arms and replace the pedals since the threads were stripped.
Despite the bikes functioning well when they do work, the poor customer service and being called a liar by staff was enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth. I don't get angry easily, but this experience was extremely frustrating. If you decide to purchase a FLX bike, I implore you to pray nothing fails, and that you don't have to deal with customer service issues like these.
FLX Trail Bike Review: Disappointing Service and Unexpected Delay
About a year ago, I was excited to purchase a pair of FLX Trail bikes. The plan was to have one bike in the US and one at my home in France. However, I mistakenly checked the wrong order box and paid the higher EU shipping charge. Not long after realizing this mistake, I changed the shipping address of my order to my home in France. But then, when the bikes arrived at my French address, I was surprised by a demand for a VAT tax. They requested that I sign a power of attorney for an unknown entity to handle the transaction, but they wouldn't disclose the actual tax amount. My suspicions grew about the EU potentially assigning a higher value than what I paid, and charging the VAT tax rate on the higher value. I reached out to FLX and asked to revise the order back to my original US delivery address. After a long series of emails, my request was finally approved.
Fast forward to now, May 2017, and I still have yet to receive the twin Trail bikes I ordered from FLX. Their latest email informed me that the reason for the delay is due to the company shifting to a newer, stronger bike motor and battery design, which won't be available until June of this year. When I visited their website to learn more, I found their G2 design priced at over $3,000 each, which is significantly more than what I had paid in advance for my original models.
If FLX does not deliver the bikes by the end of June 2017, I will be requesting a full refund. I won't hesitate to take legal action if necessary, should FLX fail to comply. Has anyone else had a similar experience with FLX's lackluster execution? I am incredibly disappointed with the company's practices thus far.
Signed,
Blake K.
FLX Trail Bike: Disappointed and Burned Out, Not Worth the Price
My spouse and I were excited to order a FLX Trail bike from their website, complete with a larger battery, seat post and cell phone holder, and an extra set of tires, all for around $2,300 with shipping. We were told that the bike would arrive in time for Christmas, but unfortunately the delivery was delayed until mid-January, which was a bit of a disappointment. However, we understood that FLX is a smaller company and things can happen. When we received the bike, we discovered that the frame was scratched, the cell phone holder and extra set of tires were missing, and the front wheel wobbled when we rode it up the driveway.
After contacting FLX, we were advised to take the bike to a local bike shop to have the tire checked. We did so, only to find out from the bike shop that it wasn't the wheel but the tire that was the issue. When we contacted FLX again, we cancelled the missing tire set and waited a few weeks for the cell phone holder to arrive. Unfortunately, our troubles didn't end there. On our first ride, the motor inexplicably quit only 3.5 miles into the ride, leaving us to walk the rest of the way home. We called FLX once more and we were told that the issue was likely with the motor regulator, but that they would send a replacement for us to have installed by a third party.
However, after weeks of waiting and no callback from FLX, it's now the first week of March, and we still have a glitchy bike with no front tire replacement, no touch-up paint to cover the scratch on the frame, and no clear indication of when they will replace the faulty motor. To their credit, they did eventually send a set of fenders to us, and they were amicable over the phone. However, at this point, we are feeling burned out from our experience and we no longer have any interest in keeping the bike. It's an expensive piece of machinery that hasn't lived up to its promises or the price tag attached. We understand that startups can have growing pains, but we are quite disappointed in the whole situation. If it were possible, we would greatly appreciate a refund for our purchase. Right now, we feel that we may have made a mistake buying this bike.
FLX Bike G1 Trail: A Sleek, Peppy, and Comfortable Ride for Exploring Trails and Neighborhoods
Hi there! I just wanted to share my experience with the FLX Bike G1 Trail e-bike. I've had it for a little over a year now and it's been an amazing ride. When I first received the bike, it arrived in perfect condition and my husband was able to assemble it quickly and easily, thanks to the helpful assembly video. We took it to our local bike shop to ensure everything was in working order and were impressed by how good it looked.
I chose FLX Bike because of their high-quality components, excellent design, attractive aesthetics, and reasonable price point. Compared to other e-bike brands that look clunky and awkward, FLX Bikes look sleek and modern. I'm 5'5" with shorter arms and legs, and the fit of the Trail is perfect for me. I'm able to ride in a more upright position, which makes the ride much more comfortable and enjoyable. The slope of the frame design also makes it easy to clear the top tube.
The ride itself is fantastic - the bike is peppy, fun, nearly silent, and rides smoothly. After a year of using it, I haven't had any mechanical or performance issues, and I haven't customized it in any way. I'm not the most technical or mechanically inclined rider, but I'm always excited to get on the bike and explore the trails and neighborhoods around Western El Dorado Country. I love being able to tackle steep hills that other riders have to push their bikes up - this bike handles them with ease.
In fact, I enjoyed my FLX Bike G1 Trail so much that I ended up buying two more Trails for my husband and son. All three of us love riding them and have had nothing but great experiences. I'm not someone who keeps a close watch on technical details like speeds, miles, or wattage - I just get on the bike and have a great time every time. I'm grateful to the FLX Bike team for their innovative design and courage to start their own company from scratch. It takes a lot of hard work and learning as you go, and they've done an amazing job delivering a high-quality product at an affordable price. I wish them all the best going forward - if you're looking for a fantastic e-bike, the FLX Bike G1 Trail is definitely worth checking out!
FLX's Incompetence and Lack of Customer Support: My Horrible Nightmare with the BabyMaker Bike
In April 2020, I was excited to purchase a BabyMaker bike from the online retailer FLX. I was told that the bike components were from China but would be assembled in Spain, where I live, so I was optimistic about a quick delivery. The estimated delivery date was set for October 2020, however, this date came and went with no word of my bike's whereabouts.
FLX began hosting weekly online video sessions supposedly to keep customers informed and satisfied, but these sessions did not provide much positive information for those of us still waiting for our bikes. While testaments of satisfaction were shared from customers who had already received their bikes, there was little information on the delivery status of those of us still waiting.
As time went on, we learned that the bikes would now be sent to the UK from Rotterdam and then sent back to Spain for delivery. This change meant that the bikes were now liable for an additional tax and import duty, which amounted to ?340 extra for me.
It wasn't until November 2021, over a year and a half since I placed my order, that I finally received my bike. However, upon unpacking it, I was devastated to find that the front forks were damaged and unusable. I informed FLX of the issue and received replacement forks, but they were the wrong color. I communicated this to FLX, but have yet to hear about the dispatch of the correct forks. Despite FLX claiming a one-year warranty, they have not addressed my query regarding reimbursement for the fitting of these forks.
I cannot express enough how disappointed and outraged I am with FLX's incompetence, lack of customer support, and clear disregard for their customers' satisfaction. The inefficiencies of the company in every aspect, including delivery and after-sales service, have left me utterly disgusted. I would strongly advise anyone against purchasing anything from FLX, as my experience has been nothing short of a horrible nightmare.
FLX Bike's Warranty and Customer Service are Subpar - Do not buy an FLX ebike!
I recently received my FLX Bike in early January 2021, and I was impressed with the packaging and how easy it was to assemble. The wheels were very well trued, and I'm proud to say that I'm a strong rider for someone who is nearly 72 years old. I regularly go on rides that range anywhere between 25 to 50 miles, and sometimes even over 60 miles. In just four months, with over 1600 miles under my belt, I noticed that my battery was quickly depleting in the 40+ mile range and was near 20% just 10 miles later. I usually average around 20+ mph in power level, and to save battery, I often use level 0 on downhill terrain and pedal harder.
I reached out to Marc R from FLX Bike, who suggested I get the battery load tested. I searched hard, but I wasn't able to find any places to do that. Even FLX was not able to load test a battery. Marc R then offered to have my battery tested by one of his techs who had the equipment at home for $75, and I would have to pay for shipping from East TX to San Diego. Spending well over $100 to find out what's going on with my battery, which is already out of warranty, seems unreasonable.
Marc Reyes told me that I ride too hard and too far, and therefore I have worn out my battery prematurely, and FLX will not cover it. Ironically, I had a "Juiced" ebike that I rode over 5000 miles. It was 2+ years old, and I was still riding it over 60 miles on occasion with power to spare.
FLX Bike's warranty states that all their bikes are protected by a one-year manufacturer warranty. Any component that has a manufacturing defect will be covered under the warranty. An FLX customer care agent will work with you to diagnose the issue, and if it's deemed that the battery is faulty, FLX will ship you a replacement, free of charge. However, with my experience, I begin to question whether they have ever made good on their warranty. If they won't stand behind my defective battery, what will they stand behind?
In conclusion, FLX Bike makes great bikes, but in my situation, their warranty and customer service were subpar. I now understand why they only have three stars. It's disappointing to see that they even used my review in their advertising campaign, and it's frustrating that they are refusing to cover my battery only six months into a one-year warranty. My advice to anyone reading this review is, "Do not buy an FLX ebike!"
FLX Roadster Electric Bike Review: Exhilarating Ride, Poor Build Quality & Customer Service
I've had the pleasure of owning an FLX Roadster for the past two years, having supported its initial release through Kickstarter. Initially, I was enamored with the bike, having never owned an electric bike before. To say that it changed my life would be an understatement - it has proven to be the best mode of transportation in many cities, easily conquering hills that would have proven impossible otherwise. The sensation of cruising at a steady 20 miles/hour is exhilarating, and I've even managed to hit a top speed of around 35 miles/hour (although anything beyond that feels far too dangerous). The bike's battery is also convenient to recharge, being removable and able to be charged elsewhere.
Unfortunately, I must also note that this bike is exceedingly poorly built, causing me enormous frustration over the past couple of years. Allow me to elaborate:
- Firstly, the battery is advertised as being capable of going 30 miles or more, yet mine consistently begins to falter after only 15 miles, dying around the 20 mile mark under even ideal conditions. In winter, this range shrinks even further, with a maximum distance of 15 miles.
- Secondly, the bike itself is incredibly flimsy, with many screws, nuts, and bolts popping loose at least once over the course of my ownership. Even the 2 fenders on the bike have both broken, with one incident occurring because the bike was knocked over.
- Thirdly, and perhaps most egregiously, the motor itself died after only 14 months of use. I had emailed the company inquiring about another issue shortly before it broke, and they promised to have spare parts in stock soon, yet when the motor finally did fail, I had to correspond with them repeatedly over the course of 6 weeks just to get my hands on a motor replacement. Incredibly, I was even charged a $75 fee despite this being a known issue. Unfortunately, now 4 months after the motor was replaced, I have detected that there is something off with the pedals again, indicating yet another issue.
- Fourthly, the bike seat they sent me initially had the wrong "minimum depth" marking on it, which led to the frame cracking. They were willing to ship me a replacement frame for a whopping $280, despite the error being their fault. The company did offer to cover the welding cost, but as bike shops are hesitant to perform repairs on this model due to liability issues, I am unfortunately on my own here as well.
- Fifthly, the company's customer service is extremely slow at handling issues. It took around 20 emails (mostly my own) to finally get a response, and the entire issue took around 6 weeks to resolve.
- Lastly, minor details such as the "user interface" on the bike's control panel have left a great deal to be desired. It never quite became intuitive or efficient, with the user needing to set motor speed each time. Even after professional tune-ups over the course of 200 miles or so, the gears never fully aligned and would derail easily over bumps.
Considering these issues, I would not recommend purchasing this bike. It is simply too flimsy and requires far too much work to keep running. There are certainly better alternatives available on the market.
Poor Customer Service Experience with FLX Bike - Think Twice Before Buying
If you're thinking of purchasing a bike from FLX Bike, think again. While the bike itself may seem great at first, it's the customer service that's lacking. If your bike needs repairing, be prepared to wait over 3 weeks before you get it back, assuming they decide to repair it at all.
I had a terrible experience with FLX Bike when my bike, after just one year and 2300 miles, started cutting out. After multiple emails with their online support team, they diagnosed the issue to be with the controller. I was told that the repair would only take a week, as they had identified the problem and worked with the repair tech to get it sorted.
However, when I actually went in to drop off my bike, the story completely changed. The repair technician was rude and told me that it would take at least 3+ weeks to repair, in addition to upfront costs for diagnostics. He made it sound like he was trying to talk me out of the repairs altogether. I was already there and had made the lengthy journey, so I left the bike with them anyway.
When I got home, I wrote to the online support team to complain about my experience. The next day, the support team told me that there wasn't actually a problem with the controller and that the issue was due to the way I was riding the bike. I was leaving it in 9th gear and relying heavily on electric levels, causing the bike to cut out.
The support team instructed me to only use 5th gear without any electric levels for a week to get accustomed to using the gears. What they didn't tell me was that in order to get any traction at all, the gears must be set at 8 or 9. I tried different combinations of gears and assist levels, but the bike continued to cut out. In the end, I had to revert back to using 9th gear in conjunction with the assist levels.
Needless to say, I won't be purchasing from FLX Bike again. When this bike is no longer usable, I'll be selling it and going with a locally sold and supported e-bike. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for your biking needs.

FLX Bike Review: Disappointing Delivery and Customer Service Experience
When I ordered not one but two bikes from FLX Bike earlier this year in February 2017, I had high hopes for this promising company. However, my experience with FLX thus far has been nothing short of disappointing. I was elated when I received a bike from them last week, but was shocked to discover that it was my first—and only—bike, and after six long months of waiting! When I reached out to FLX Bike to inquire about the whereabouts of my second bike, I was informed that the bike was still not ready for delivery, but that it was "on its way". While I understand that upgrades were necessary and that it takes time to make these kinds of changes, six months seems excessive, especially when I consider that I had plans to use the bikes for a trip. To make matters worse, FLX Bike has failed to offer me any kind of compensation or discount, despite my expressed displeasure and frustration with the delay. Additionally, I found it particularly disheartening that I will not receive the bike that I purchased, as the company had offered me a different bike to replace the lost one. Overall, my experience with FLX Bike has been subpar and unprofessional. I had hoped for a better experience as a customer, and hope that they will work to improve their delivery and customer service in the future so that others do not have to suffer a similar fate.
Impressive FLX Bike Quality Marred by Disappointing Customer Service and Long Wait Times
I had the chance to catch a glimpse of the new, highly sought-after FLX Bike, and I must say it is truly an impressive piece of machinery. From the sleek and stylish design to the top-of-the-line components used in its construction, it is clear that this bike is of the utmost quality.
However, I must admit that my experience with the company's customer service has been less than satisfactory. I had placed an order for the FLX Bike back in July 2020, and to my disappointment, I have yet to receive it. Despite contacting their customer service team several times, I have been met with excuses and delays, with no clear indication of when my bike will arrive.
But I must commend the FLX Bike company for their attempt to rectify the situation by offering me an upgrade to the BabyMaker II, which is set to arrive in April 2022, a full two years after my initial order. While I am glad for the upgrade, I cannot help but feel frustrated with the long wait and the lack of transparency from the company.
Furthermore, the upgrade came with some modifications that I was not particularly interested in, such as a bigger battery and different handlebars than what I had originally ordered. While these modifications may be beneficial to some, I personally do not see the value in them, especially when paired with an extended wait and poor customer service.
All in all, while the FLX Bike is certainly an incredibly well-designed and high-quality piece of equipment, the company's customer service and long wait times have left me disappointed. I feel that they ought to compensate customers for the inconvenience of such lengthy delays, and perhaps offer some kind of free item to make up for the wait.
Disappointing Experience with FLX Bike: Poor Communication, Long Delays, Limited Choices
I recently had an experience with FLX Bike (flx.bike) and unfortunately it was quite disappointing. Although I was excited to finally receive my bike, I was left waiting for twice as long as I had originally been told. Not only that, but every time there was a delay, I had to reach out to them for an update - it would have been much nicer if they had proactively communicated with me about what was going on.
To add insult to injury, when they finally informed me that they could not provide the bike I had originally ordered, I was shocked to find out that their website would not accept my address. How is this possible, I wondered? It seems like such a basic detail that should already be worked out. As a result, the bike I would have chosen instead sold out, leaving me with a very limited choice.
Throughout all of these setbacks, I tried to reach out to FLX Bike for some assistance, but unfortunately they did not respond to any of my emails. Not even a phone call. As you can imagine, this only compounded my frustration and disappointment.
Ultimately, I was forced to pick a bike I didn't really want, just out of fear that I would be stuck with some kind of "credit" that would only continue the cycle of problems. If possible, I am hoping for a full refund so that I can move on from this experience. It's really too bad, because I had high hopes for FLX Bike, but unfortunately their lack of organization and poor communication has left me disappointed.

Beware of FLX Bike: Poor Customer Service and High Risk Purchases
Potential customers of FLX Bike (flx.bike), please take heed and read this review before making a purchase. It is noteworthy to mention that the company currently holds a "D" rating with the complaintsboard.com, and numerous negative reviews online reveal a consistent pattern of poor customer service.
Despite their upbeat and energetic demeanour, FLX Bike is known to have terrible customer service and does not offer refunds or exchanges. For instance, a customer recounts purchasing two bikes in April, only to have the delivery date changed to October - that's a staggering six-month wait! To add insult to injury, the company recently raised almost 14 million dollars, yet when the customer requested a refund, FLX Bike rebutted with two impertinent emails, ultimately denying the request.
In light of such reviews and issues shared across the internet, it is only prudent to exercise caution before purchasing from FLX Bike. The company appears to prioritize profits over their customers' satisfaction, which is discouraging for those who truly enjoy cycling and want a quality riding experience. In summary, beware of FLX Bike and their questionable business practices.
FLX Bike Review: Poor Customer Service and Endless Delays, Avoid at All Costs
As someone who has had a less than ideal experience with FLX Bike, I would strongly discourage anyone from purchasing an e-bike from this company. My troubles began in August of 2020 when I ordered my bike and it is now December 3rd and I'm still without it. Despite several attempts to cancel the order, the company has refused to provide any kind of refund or solution to the issue.
As it turns out, FLX Bike manufactures their products in China which raises concerns about both quality and construction. And if that wasn't concerning enough, the customer service department is, quite frankly, of little help. My interactions with them have left me feeling like my concerns and questions are not taken seriously and that they are simply giving me the runaround. It's disappointing that a company that boasts such cutting-edge technology and unique features would fall so short in the customer service department.
Unfortunately, I cannot offer any insights on the state of the product as I have yet to receive it. And at this point, I'm not even sure if I ever will. It's incredibly frustrating to spend your hard-earned money on a product only to face endless delays and uncertainty.
As someone who feels cheated by FLX Bike, I urge you to avoid doing business with them altogether. Instead, seek out a reputable cycle dealer in your community to purchase your e-bike. Not only will you experience better customer service, but you'll have the peace of mind that comes with purchasing from someone you can trust.
In order to bring attention to these issues, I will be filing a formal complaint with the complaintsboard.com in San Diego and seeking legal advice about addressing the cancellation and refund issue. It's time for FLX Bike to step up and take responsibility for their actions. Until then, I strongly advise others to steer clear.
FLX Bike Review: Don't Trust Their Claims - Terrible Service & Broken Promises
If you are considering purchasing a bike from FLX Bike, think again. Despite what the company's website may claim, the actual experience of many customers, including myself, has been less than satisfactory. I urge you to take ALL of the negative reviews to heart, for they are not exaggerating.
For starters, the company seems all too eager to take your money, but when it comes to delivering what you've paid for, that's when the trouble begins. In my case, I ordered the highly coveted Babymaker bike in August of 2020, with an estimated delivery time of November-December. To my surprise, there was no sign of my bike even after these months had come and gone.
When I reached out to their customer service, I received limited responses and all I got were vague promises and no real indication of when I could expect my order. When my patience had run out, and I pressed for more specific answers, FLX Bike representatives dodged the question, and it felt like an endless loop of avoiding accountability.
The whole experience has been quite frustrating; I have been promised delivery dates in January and April- and nothing has happened! It is now May, and I am left feeling deceived and hopeless. To pay top dollar for a bike and receive terrible service is not acceptable, and I feel cheated. At this point, my trust in this company has been shattered, and I do not recommend them to anyone.
In conclusion, my advice would be to steer clear of buying a bike from FLX Bike. As a human being, I cannot recommend this company, and this has been a complete failure on their part. Don't put yourself in a similar situation by trusting them.
Frustrating Customer Service and Confusing Ordering Process at FLX Bike
As a customer of FLX Bike, I have had a bit of a frustrating experience with their customer service. While their website offers a wide range of high quality bikes, the process of ordering can be quite confusing. The website doesn't clearly indicate what "sold out" means - is the bike no longer available, or just temporarily out of stock? And if it's the latter, when can customers expect it to be available again?
Additionally, I have had trouble getting in touch with FLX Bike's customer service team. Phone calls often go unanswered and emails are not returned in a timely manner. As someone who is investing a significant amount of money into a bike, I expect to be able to reach out to the company when I have questions or concerns.
Another issue I've encountered is the lack of information available on the accessories offered on FLX Bike's website. Product descriptions are sparse and don't provide enough information to make an informed decision about what to purchase. For example, I have questions about the weight range for the suspension seat post and whether the kickstand is adjustable, but there are no answers provided.
While I appreciate the high quality bikes and the premium prices they command, I believe FLX Bike could benefit from improving its customer service and website experience. Other companies like Dost and Rambo are good examples of how to successfully run a direct customer order business. The e-bike market is competitive and it's important to stand out by offering a top-notch experience to customers.
FLX Bike Babymaker Indiegogo Review: Disappointing Delays, Strict Policies, and Unresponsive Customer Service
As a consumer who was excited about the FLX Bike (flx.bike) Babymaker offering on Indiegogo, my experience has been less than satisfactory. I pledged my support for the product in May with the expectation of delivery by September, but as we approach November, I have yet to receive my order. In fact, FLX Bike is now indicating that deliveries won't be made until March of 2021, a significant delay from their initial promise.
I reached out to FLX Bike for a refund, but was flat-out denied. They don’t seem willing to meet in the middle or show any flexibility around their strict policies. I feel like they aren't standing by their product if they can't afford to take returns. Additionally, the fees were already taken out by Indiegogo, so it seems unreasonable for them to refuse a refund.
When I tried to get help from their Indiegogo page, I was directed to their website, but even then, they weren't responsive or forthcoming with information about when orders would be fulfilled. Their attitude towards customers who have invested in their product has left me incredibly disappointed.
I think it's worth noting that FLX Bike has a D- rating on Complaintsboard.com, an indication that other customers have had similar experiences. It is clear to me that they only care about making money, and customer satisfaction is not a priority for them. It's incredibly regrettable that they seem to prioritize their bottom line over their customers.
Poor Customer Service: Unwilling to Correct Birth Year Mistake, Lost All Points with FLX Bike
I recently had an unfortunate experience with FLX Bike (flx.bike). I attempted to update my birth year on my account, as it was mistakenly entered as 1697 instead of 1987. Unfortunately, when I contacted their customer service team for assistance, they informed me that the only way to update this information was through their app. I downloaded the app, but unfortunately, I was still unable to make the necessary changes.
After reaching back out to the customer service team, they informed me that they were unable to update my information due to security reasons. They suggested that I create a whole new account and then contact them so they could transfer my points from one account to another. I was completely frustrated by this response, as I found it unreasonable that I had to create a new account simply to rectify my birth year.
When I expressed my disbelief to the customer service representative, they informed me that I would need to create a new email address as well in order to create a new account. This was more than I was willing to do, especially since the only error with my account was the incorrect birth year. Despite providing them with all of my information and no issues with any other details on my account, they were unwilling to make the necessary update.
As a result, I lost all of my accumulated points with FLX Bike and, unfortunately, will no longer be shopping with them. It is extremely disappointing to receive such poor customer service, especially after being a loyal customer for a long time. I hope that they will reconsider how they handle this type of situation in the future and work towards better customer service practices.
FLX Bike's Customer Service is a Major Disappointment: A Cautionary Review
I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with FLX Bike, specifically their customer service department. Unfortunately, reaching a "real person" to inquire about my order was impossible, and the auto-generated emails I received did not provide helpful updates. Based on this experience, I'm confident that the company doesn't take the time to read customer emails. The delivery dates for my husband's bike were constantly pushed back and changed at least five times, even though we paid in full back in August of 2020. My husband sent numerous emails to the company requesting an update, but we received no response whatsoever. To be frank, please avoid purchasing a bike from FLX Bike; you'll likely share similar frustrations to what we're experiencing. At this point, we're looking for a refund, but alas, we haven't received any communication from the company. We waited for an entire year for my husband's bike (specifically the BabyMaker model), and as of now, we still have nothing to show for it. We want to caution others to spend your hard-earned money with a company that understands the significance of timely responses, has a decent customer service experience, and values their customers. Seriously, it's frustrating to have been so patient only to have been let down in this way.
