Wanted to purchase a building-they requested a deposit, I went to the town with their dimensions of the building and the town advised we could not put this on our land. We requested our deposit back since we could not put the building on our land (1acre) They told me they could not give our deposit back our deposit was 6950.00, and we have no drawing, no product or no resolution but to go to court. 2016 was the expectation of a building they had already for sale on line. We want our deposit back nothing signed. this is not right our deposit is being kept by future buildings

A salesperson misled me about not needing a permit for a large building he's selling.
A salesperson misled me into believing I don't need a permit for the 40feet by 80feet building he's trying to sell me because another customer couldn't pay for it. I called Future Steel Buildings because they advertised a 50% discount. He offered me a steel building (40x80) for $38,000, and when I asked about the permit, he said, 'I don't think you do; it's like a big shed.' I considered it, but he kept calling me daily, pressuring me to send a deposit quickly. While working, I transferred a $9,500 deposit because it seemed like a good deal. After buying stones for $5,000 and preparing for the building, a contractor asked about my project. When I mentioned the steel building, he informed me I needed a permit. Concerned, I visited the city office, and they confirmed a permit was necessary. Moreover, they said they wouldn't allow such a large structure in the city between houses. When I confronted the salesperson, he denied misleading me and insisted it was my responsibility to check. Despite my efforts, I couldn't get a refund or reach the company's owner to file a complaint. I've been trying to get my $9,500 back since last September, but they're unresponsive.

August 18th I inquired into Future Buildings ad to get a price on their product, a sales rep contacted me
On August 18th, after inquiring about Future Buildings' ad for pricing, a sales representative reached out to me. They used high-pressure sales tactics, claiming a discounted rate for a canceled building required a 25% down payment to secure the purchase, or it would be shipped elsewhere the next day. I paid $3750, which was 25% of $15000, but the agreement showed a different price than the promised $13900. Upon raising the issue, the rep sent a new contract for the correct price but didn't refund the excess down payment of $275. I had repeatedly confirmed with the rep about local building permits and was assured they handled all necessary documentation. However, they only provided the drawings. My permit application to the City of Hamilton cost another $252, and I was informed that the drawings needed a specific blank space for approval. Despite requesting this change from the rep and following up for two weeks, I received no revised drawing. I postponed the building's delivery until November and eventually until spring due to the permit issues. Surprisingly, I was notified of an imminent delivery, which I then canceled. My intent was to erect the building before winter, which was now impossible. I've had no confirmation of cancellation despite multiple emails and calls to the rep, the last of which warned of contacting the ComplaintsBoard.com. Initially, I sought a partial refund, acknowledging associated costs, but given the poor treatment, I now demand a full refund of the $3750. I appreciate any assistance provided.

steel building
In response to my query, John called.
He had a great deal for me. A mining company in the Midwest just delayed their order of five buildings for months. Future Steel Buildings had to get them off the factory floor quickly. They can even store the building for me until I'm ready for delivery.
I asked, "why cant you store them for the mining company?" The conversation went down hill from there.
He didn't call again.
Their buildings and offers were piece of rubbish
Don’t buy anything from Future Steel Buildings. I have paid $20, 000 for their rubbish and was completely disappointed. It wasn’t worth it to spend such sum for the building, which looked and was like piece of crap. The company also didn’t provide any support or help, so all emails which I have sent to them were ignored. Don’t waste your time with them, because you will lose in this deal.
Scam

I informed them of my desire for a 10 by 20 storage shed. They consistently confirmed that the recommended building was permissible in my locality. After agreeing to the terms, they pressed for immediate delivery, stating I would incur a storage fee if I did not accept it at once. It was only after the shed was delivered and weeks had passed that I received the blueprints for a permit, and that was upon my request. My application was rejected by the city, which informed me that such a structure is not permitted in residential zones in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Trusting the salesperson, I began erecting the building while awaiting the permit, which was delayed due to the pandemic. Now, the city is ordering me to dismantle it. I had prepared an 11 by 21 concrete foundation, which the city approved for use under a different shed style. My attempts to resolve the issue through numerous calls were met with evasion; they would not provide contact details for their manager and often failed to return my calls. Eventually, they conceded that they were wrong about the building's compliance. They also neglected to follow their protocol of sending the drawings first for permit application before dispatching the building. Their rationale is that they cannot sell a building if it doesn't meet the zoning requirements of the buyer's area. Despite acknowledging their errors, they refuse to accept responsibility or offer any refund. They suggested I sell the shed on a local marketplace. When threatened with negative reviews, complaints to the ComplaintsBoard.com, and legal action, the sales representative was dismissive, stating they would not compensate me. Consequently, I am at a financial loss of $4068.00.
