Work comp unfairly denied
GB denied work comp claim due to bias of Dr Franklin and reliance on ama guidelines that even the author dismisses as his own opinion. GB denied claims to increase their PM. I have 2 coworkers that have the same complaint. GB uses every dirty trick in the book, recorded statements, prior medical records. Dr Franklin is a hired gun. She asked questions like if I had blood work done to check for diabetes . The pain is in my hand and wrist. She refused to order any scans at all. Said I could do it on my own and pay for it. Ryan Anderson asked what my hobbies are. I said playing guitar. My job has me working 6 days a week for 60 hours a week.
Desired outcome: GB needs heavily sanctioned. My claim needs processed asap.

My name is: Terri L.West my complaint is concerning not being able to file a claim with the correct claim adjuster since this accident a month ago, the claim adjuster,"Frank Middlebrooks who hung up on me today 3/1/22 denies hes the adjuster, I've spoke to several employees at prosite, galagar basset and have not been giving any information concerning my claim the claim # I was giving was: [protected] also [protected] to date my claim is not being investigated. Never Receiving Calls from adjuster
I have never had so much trouble getting in contact with somebody before. I had a previous Workmen’s Comp. injury that has flared back up and I followed all of the steps such as going through my original company‘s human resource program. I was eventually directed to Gallagher Bassett to speak with an adjuster. The first time I tried to contact my adjuster I did not hear from her for about three days. All I was trying to do was set up a doctors appointment to figure out why the injury flared up again. I figured that would be the easy part was getting a doctors appointment. I didn’t even want Workmen’s Compensation payments I just wanted my injury to get better. Since talking to her the first time I believe I have left 12 unanswered voicemails and it has been about a week since I’ve heard from her. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anybody and good luck to anyone who has to deal with them because of Workmen’s Comp. Apparently they are supposed to respond to your calls and voicemails within a 24 hour period and I believe that is a joke.
Desired outcome: The desired outcome I would like is to actually get a call back and for my injury to be resolved.
The costumer service was difficult
My name is Debora. Beverly Oaks Physicians Surgical Center, LLC employs me as a biller. The staff in charge of taking calls to help medical professionals for adjusters are the subject of this complaint. I called Medinsights at [protected] and spoke with Fati, who refused to transfer me to the adjuster in charge of the matter. I had to explain and ask her to be transferred three times before she hung up on me after telling me to hold. I contacted the same number again, and Bhavna struggled to connect me to the adjuster, keeping me on hold while I inquired about their supervisor information, whom she said was Sheveta. This isn't the first time I've encountered SUPER UNPLEASANT and difficult communication, let alone unprofessional customer service. In this difficult moment, I would prefer not to advise the doctors of their right to submit a formal complaint. Please correct this issue so that medical providers can get a proper assistant and be efficiently connected to the case adjuster, resulting in all permitted claims being paid correctly.

I was involved with a Semi auto accident 01/20/2022 where I was at a COMPLETE STOP & the Semi PLOWED into the back of ME FULL SPEED & stated he didn't see ME. Traffic was at GRID LOCK STOP & GO on the highway.. On 02/01/2022 the adjuster offered to settle then which was HIGHLY DISRESPECTFUL as I was currently sittingi n the doctor's office getting a referralbecausemy body is REAKINOF PAIN.. On 02/09/2022 the adjuster AGAIN tried to settle the amount was PURE DISRESPECTFUL as I'm currently in the mist of Physical Therapy & on several different medications as MY daily life changes has adjusted horribly MY body REAKS with PAIN DAILY.. To add insult to INJURY. I was told they would NOT compensate ME for paying for insurance on the rental car & I'm to use MINES! Are YOU FREAKING SERIOUS 😳 I could've DIED & I feel like this company is ONLY cares about SAVING their revenue & NOTHING of the Consumer/VICTIM/Survior .. Not to mention the car has went from TOTALED to repairable with a BENT A FRAME...

My name is Pat Graffman and I work in the AR for Worker’s Compensation, and I have been trying to get 11 claims paid for our patient stated above. I have spoken with Mae, and she said the 11 claims were denied because of the Dr’s NPI umber not being valid, but when she put it in the system it pulled right up The Orthopaedic Center, so she sent them back to reprocess.
I have spoken with a supervisor, and she said I needed to email the authorization for the 11 claims ad she would go over them and get back with me Monday, which was on 07/23/2020 I have not heard back
yet.
I sent four appeals and reconsiderations but each time the claims were duplicated and denied
I spoke with Vince, and he was supposed to call me back when the claims get through the review again that was on 11/09/2021 and I have not heard from him
As you can see, I have been trying to and have worked hard at it but no one at Gallagher Bassett really tried to help me or return calls. The claims were duped and denied every time I filed them. NPI not found but it was in the system they have been sent back and I have written 4 appeal and reconsideration letters, but it is easy to just deny, deny but I do not feel this whole process has been fair to me or our patient, now after everything I have been through with these claims they are denying them for timely. I cannot win for loosing and I wish someone would look at all the times I have filed these claims, or how many appeals and reconsiderations I have written.
I am sending all 11 claims with this letter hoping someone at the main office can help me get these paid.

medical bills not being payed on work comp
Was I a work comp, the resolution manager over my claim "alisha" said that she received the bill and will add it to my claim. Never done that because I got collections on me now because she didn't add this medical bill to the claim. By the time I found out and email her, she said she didn't work there no more and refer me to another over it. No reply yet at all and the claim is closed. This is wasting my time from what should had been solved. This company is doesn't care about you, just the money they can save.

Payment of Workers' Compensation Settlement
On December 6, 2021 I accepted the $10, 000 settlement amount offered for the injury I incurred on the job August 4, 2021 (Claim [protected]-WC-01). Many phone calls have been made to the Senior Adjustor, Lisa Erickson. Most have gone unanswered or not returned. I would like to know when I can receive my settlement check. This matter has dragged on for almost two months with no resolution.

This company is the worst of humanity, he had an accident where he was severely disabled, they deny all medical medications and any evidence that is presented, they harass the "customers" (disposable workers) or any type of accident we are disposable now they are over harassed espionage violence and extort their "clients" to receive the miseries they want to give, aside from silencing people, they delete everything negative about them on the web, flooding everything with positive publicity, and knocking down all websites like this, it is useless to try to break this monster of injustices this needs a Class Action Lawsuit

I was issued a new adjuster and immediately after my weekly workman's comp payments started coming late in November . December 14, 2021 my payments have completed stopped. My adjuster will not respond to any emails, phone calls .

My adjuster at GB has cancelled my first script so I had to pay for my workman's comp meds AND pain Mgmnt. She reimbursed me partially for Dr but said she needed actual receipt for meds. I sent her what I have now she's saying they have to be processed through first script first however-it was cancelled! She restarted first script but won't give me what I had to pay for.

I fell off a ladder at work in 2019. I sustained multiple injuries to my left leg, thigh, hips, buttock, and pelvis. I was stabbed in the left buttock with a metal paint scraper causing me to have a permanent injury of piriformis syndrome to the left buttock and dislocated my left sacroiliac joint. The minor injuries healed, but I was left with piriformis syndrome and sacroiliac dysfunction/sacroiliitis which are life-long debilitating injuries. I am in extreme chronic pain and have to take opioids and steroids, plus get regular joint injections just to be able to function.
I am now on my fifth case adjuster with Gallagher Bassett. The first two were easy to deal with, the third was a temp. The fourth was absolutely unbearable! He was rude, unhelpful, insulting, demeaning, refused to answer my questions-- and when he did, he "mansplained" like I was a complete idiot. I finally couldn't take it anymore and asked for a new adjuster. I was reassigned a woman who is just as bad. She is unfamiliar with my case, I had to tell her what my compensable injury is and explain it to her. She won't return my phone calls, won't return phone calls from my doctor, was rude to my doctor's nurse, and is uncooperative. She stopped approving authorization for my pain medication, which they had been paying for previously and is trying to change my compensable injury. She is also threatening to send me back for another designated doctor exam so she "can close my case". Even though I am still injured and continue to need medical treatment. She lied to my Work Comp. coordinator from my previous employer; saying she never received a phone call from my doctor and that she did not say anything about sending my back for re-evaluation for MMI. The adjuster also claims she has no ability to override the utilization review board and approve payment for my medications, but the utilization review board says otherwise.
Desired outcome: reimbursement for out of pocket expenses, authorization for payment of future prescriptions, professional and polite adjuster

It has taken 8 day's for me to get a claim for a workers comp claim . I have been unable to see a doctor for 8 day's for a follow up because Gallager & Bassett has not reach out to me with claim # for me to get my follow up care. Only after several calls with my company was I able to get a claim from Galagher & Bassett this company sucks and may have cause me further damage to my hand I would not recommend this company to handle anyone's ins claim it will cost the insured company more money to take care of proble that was caused by Galagher & Bassett

I work in physical therapy and had a pt fall, tearing my shoulder. Many Dr visits and surgery later in CoVid era, alomost 2 years later, I have received nothing more than my weekly pittance. I have submitted AND spoken to 4, yes 4 case reps wh each stating that they had "just received my case". I have, to this day, seen NO funds reimbursed. I'll tell you that if my wife and I weren't the kind of couple to see these bad days ahead and SAVE funds appropriately, I would be in the welfare line for soup! There was a Manager person I was advised to today, so let's see if there is ANY change

5 weeks of me chasing to get an initial response from you now back to no communication.
Absolute disgusting.

On June 17, 2021, I was shopping at Home Depot looking for deck renovation products. After consultation with the sale representative, I was advised to purchase a product, which cost $58.73.
Shortly after leaving the store, I noticed a very strong smell in my car. I continued driving, since I was on my lunch break and had to get back to the office. After parking my car, I saw a huge stain on the seat. I lifted the bottle of 5 litre product, and noticed that the container had a hole and was leaking. I ran into the office and got paper towels, a plastic container and gloves. I asked my colleagues to help me out in the cleanup of the seat. I then drove back to Home Depot and returned this product. I asked for the manager, who came out to the parking lot, to see the condition of my car. He snaped a picture of my seat, gave me his business card, and said that Home Depot insurance will contact me shortly. Also, I was advised not to clean up the seat, until Gallagher Basset will investigate. That was Thursday. On Saturday, I called Home Depot since nobody got back to me from the insurance, and the intensive smell, together with the high temperature outside, made it impossible to use the vehicle. I spoke to Ray Andernacht, Assistant Manager, who said he can't do anything more for me.
On June 23, 2021, I looked online to contact Gallagher Bassett. I was advised by Cheryl Craig to send an email to Jessy Forte, who was supposed to be handling my case. I sent him an email, as well as to his supervisor, Joy Alagar. Joy advised me what documents she required to see, which I then sent her immediately after. That same day, I contacted the Toyota dealer and asked for a quote for the cleaning of the seat, since nobody from Insurance showed up to investigate, as advised by Home Depot.
On June 28, 2021, having still not heard from Jessy Forte, and still driving with a seat full of chemicals, I send an email to Jessy Forte, inquiring any further info. After 12 days of no decision made by Gallagher Bassett, I was left in a most dangerous situation, inhaling dangerous chemicals while driving my vehicle, on a daily basis. Finally, in the late afternoon, Jessy Forte send me documents to be signed by my ex-husband (car ownership is in his name), informing me that they will send him the cheque for the amount of $1, 000 to cover the cleaning. I explained to Jessy Forte that I have been driving this Toyota for the last 20 years and am going through a nasty divorce.
So, sending my ex-husband the cheque was wrong, as I don't have any contact with this person for the past few years, and that this money will never come to me.
Since the seat remains soiled, Toyota told me that because of the extensive damage created by the chemicals, the entire seat has to be replaced. I asked the insurance if they can send the cheque directly to Toyota, to which Jessy and Joy denied this request.
I have been in contact with my family doctor, as I suffer from migraines that these chemicals have aggravated. I had made it clear to Jessy and Joy about my condition. It seems that my voice was never heard. I have been left with an unsolved matter, as the seat will not be replaced by my ex-husband, who will cash the money and keep it, to the detriment of my health.
I think that the whole matter was handled badly by the insurance, and the problem will not be resolved, as the cheque was sent to the wrong person. It should either have come to me or sent straight to Toyota. Gallagher Bassett showed poor judgement and customer/management service. Vice President as she claim talked over me, which she didn't have any intention to solved my problem .Such a unprofessional people.

My husband has been getting shots in his back for this injury and were helping. We recently put in for shots again that lasted a little over a year on august 2020. He has since changed case workers diane lewis is now the new case worker. She is very nasty and condescending. She said he was not approved because she feels this isn't helping and he has 7 rounds of shots. He only had 4 and this has been helping. They did a lime without him present with a orthopedic which I never heard of this I work for a doctor's office and all ime patient is present! My husband has been dealing with pain since august all he wants is relief which are the shots. Can someone please get this in the works! I have made several calls and the last call was january and they were going to give him a new caseworker. Still nothing! I called today 2/24/21 and according to gb diane is still the case worker!
Desired outcome: I WOULD LIKE THEM TO GET A NEW CASE WORKER AND START THE BALL ROLLING WITH WHAT EVER MY HUSBAND NEEDS TO DO TO GET TAKEN CARE OF.

2 weeks ago an amazon delivery driver took the rear lights off of my van while it was parked outside my property.
My van is my business and had to be repaired quickly, Gallagher and Bassett agreed to reimburse me for this. I have emailed them with the pictures of the damage and the invoice etc several times and no one has so much as confirmed receipt of my emails. I have been trying to call them but cannt get through to talk to any one.
This is an appalling way to treat people and to leave them out of pocket is just disgusting.
They are the worst workers comp company I have ever seen
When I fell on may 22nd of 2019 and broke my hand they were ridiculous towards me it took them 3 weeks to schedule my surgery appointment and also they never answer the phone so I can get in with my doctor for them to look at my hand I would never recommend using Gallagher Bassett to anyone and my resultion manager Tammy Clark never helps me with anything and I have also dealt with them not helping for over a year and now they won't answer at all

My husband was hurt on the job 1 1/2 years ago and had to have neck & spinal surgery needs rehab therapy per surgeon of course not approved by gb. We have not received any back pay to date. Gary s. The only adjuster for this office has issues he lost his staff twice, didn't work for several months and defies judges orders.
Now we have an eviction notice and both our cars have insurance and registration expirations that passed so in 2 weeks i'm set to lose all I own. He recently gave us a number we agreed on but somehow he forgot to put the medical bills on the agreement letter. Accident? I think not. By the time our lawyer calls him 50 times for the next month as has happened since the beginning even when his boss was called my deadlines pass and we lose what we worked hard for, for last 45-50 years. Now there will be no way we will save ourselves from homelessness without even a car left. The on purpose mistake on the letter will set us back another month. Apparently we have no recourse why are these people allowed to do this and what's the purpose of sitting in front of judge when her word means nothing to them. I plan to get over to lake oswego or. Branch when i'm on the street and protest and look those people in the face everyday until they drag me away...
I understand your suffering I myself dealt with them on a work comp situation with a back injury and was severely screwed to the point where now I am so severely sick because they insisted upon allowing need to not be cared for by the medical professional doctor and I now have blood cancer and there's nothing I can do there's no way to sue the doctors for medical malpractice even though it is a legitimate medical malpractice issue I cannot get disability because the work comp doctor keeps getting involved in my social security disability case and claiming that whatever it is he saving keeps getting me denied disability even though I only seen it that doctor four times and everything he says is supposedly the word of God even though the doctors that I've been seeing every month for the last four plus years their word means nothing so I'm not sure how a Gallagher Bassett gets around and gets away with what they get away with but they have been getting away with it for a long time I too went through a year-and-a-half almost two years of them stringing me along with no payments from them no anyting got fired from the job I worked at for over 10 years 18 vertebrae in my back are completely damaged pinched nerves in my spine 1 mm is what is stopping me from being permanently paralyzed and as I stated because it would work comp doctor refuse to treat me and listen to my complaints I now have blood cancer I wish there was some way we could form some sort of class action lawsuit I'm sure there is if we got all get together we probably could you can email me at SAR a1976 50321 at yahoo.com. And that is not the first time that I had to deal with the company 5 years earlier with the same company that I worked with I had a lot of accident on the job and hasn't my ACL torn out and had to have my whole entire knee repaired through surgery and replaced my ACL with what they did was the surgeon removed my hamstring for my right leg from the bottom of my foot at my achilles tendon to the very top of my hip and then they braided it and restrung it to form an ACL so I have no hamstring in my right leg and I went through a year abalone about that to begin with I worked for 6 months with no ACL because Gallagher Bassett refused 2 deal with the work injury the doctor they sent me to insisted upon that I was mental and making it up even though my boss send pictures to the insurance company of my knee which was 16 in wide it was so swollen and the doctor released me to work with the restrictions of not to use my right leg ever there is nothing wrong with me just don't use that right leg ever again that's the type of company Gallagher Bassett is I still have all the paperwork from that case.
