very poor service
There is no 0 stars.
They sent our order of 6 plants. Only 4 arrived, and those were in very poor shape. They sent the other two and they didn't arrive at all (Again) . then they sent an email saying that it would be best to cancel the order. Absolutely no questions or input from the customer. they just cancelled it, By this time I have a hole in the garden waiting for my plants. and no way of filling it...
Then to add insult to injury they sent me a customer service email asking me to rate them and supply feedback.
A BUNCH OF MUPPETS> Not even with someone elses barge pole.
Plant received not as product description
Sunningdale Silver Pampus Grass - Large specimen plant £39.95
The description of the plant I purchased was "large specimen plant" complete with plumes in season at a height of around 100-150 cms tall. Hugh chunky specimen for instant garden impact and appeal...
What was actually delivered was far from a large specimen which barely measured 90 cms from the bottom of the pot to the longest extended leaf and
it certainly didn't have any instant garden impact.
Trying to get through to this company on the telephone - well just forget it, they don't answer.
I would not recommend this company and will just have to chalk this up to experience and will not be buying plants on line in the future
Me too, my laurels were pathetic! Twigs...
yup.. mine were totally rubbish
cherry blossom tree
after emailing and getting no reply I'm on the cusp of showing your customers on social media how dissapointed I am with your product and your customer service. I bought a cherry blossom tree but actually got a 2ft dead graft.
It was bought to celebrate my sisters engagement, the actual graft is dead and whatever wood/stick you grafted it onto has leaves and looks dreadful. A swift conclusion would be great. I dont want another dead stick, I want my money back
nothing from customer services after several attempts at contact and phone line is constantly on hold... very dissapointed!
dead plants. rude customer service. tries to remove reviews
Through Groupon, Gardening Express were offering Japanese Maples, Peonies and Palms on offer. Out of 4 Maples, 3 exhibit nutrient burns on their tips, 2 of which have little to no foilage and the remaining few leaves are about to drop dead from necrosis. Out of 4 Peonies, 3 are virtually dead. None had any labeling as to the species of maple acer or peony. My palms were ordered on the 15th but have not been delivered. I can only assume that they are dead somewhere.
Truely disappointed. As an experienced gardener im hoping to try and keep them going, but as the summer is drawing to the end, it's likely that most of the stock will die off. I was essentially sent very expensive twigs.
I've sent a support message to GE via their website about the Palms, will give the Maples and Peonies a few more days to pick up otherwise I'll be chasing a refund through my bank and solicitors.
*UPDATE* 03/09/16
Gardening Express have replied back to my email regarding the missing palms. Hoping action is taken to either find or replace them.
In the meantime, I've had avid horticultural expert have a look at my peonies that arrived. They are 100% affected by Powdery Mildew, which is a fungal infection bourne from humid and wet conditions. The best thing to do is treat them with horticultural oil or neem oil, and soap. Cut back all affected leaves and also look into taking preventative action with any other plants you may have as Mildew spreads via spores.
See google for what Powdery Mildew looks like on the Paeonia variety of peonies
UPDATE 07/01/2017
Garden Express have tried to remove my review.
I have forwarded the relevent correspondence to TrustPilot as Gardening Express act in a completely negligent manner and trying to get bad reviews removed. All of the plants died due to infection. I have also contacted trading standards.
no delivery - no customer service - no communication
My order number [protected] dated 29 May 2017. I emailed them and the automated reply came back saying they would reply in 5 days. It is now 27 June and four days ago I asked them to cancel my order and give me my money back. Again another automated email. I still have not received an answer from my first email. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone. They are absolutely useless! I think I will report them to Trading Standards - hopefully they will close them down as they are getting money under false pretences.
Dead plants, awful customer service.
Please don't ever order from this company - my order placed mid May 2017 took 5 weeks to arrive, and even after 2 attempts to cancel this they still sent me dead plants - literally shrivelled up bulbs in dry soil instead of flowering specimens.
It seems to take about 3 weeks to answer any queries, so its impossible to actually have a dialog - this essentially amounts to being ignored.
Please listen to my advise and the others here - don't ever order from them.

Ps if you phone you get a message we have technical problems please summit an email and round and around in circles we go.
They have £300 of mine... they are appalling! No plants, no refund!
disgusting !
Unacceptable plants/ poor customer service
Received order in broken box. Digitalis Trumpets fallen off and in bottom of box. Daisy bush totally squashed and unacceptable.
I have been sending emails for 3 weeks with no response.
The only way you can make contact is via email.
Although they show a phone number you cannot get through to speak to anybody, and more often than not the phone is out of order. If you do get through you pay 7 pence per minute.
Two roses trees purchased online at gardening express
I purchased two rose trees from gardening express online
When they didn't arrive after 10 days, I checked details and they claimed they had been recieved
I tried to call customer services - you can't get through and phone cuts off do no message can be left
I have now sent three emails with no response
They have taken the payment from my card but I have not recieved the goods not can manage to speak to anyone at the company to get this resolved.
I am going to have to take this to trading standards as after research this seems to be a regular complaint.
Rose trees
I bought through a Groupon two rose trees, price £20. I received these yesterday. I will enclose photo. I have a rose bush that is bigger than tree... Definitely a misnomer, and not value for money, or anything like photograph for sale.
I compared B&Q rose trees and for a few pound more could have had actual trees!
Very poor service, maybe because Groupon you send you're poorest product?
I have watered but the few leaves that are on them don't seem to have perked up and still look dead!
I would like you to issue me with a full refund.

exotic plant
I ordered an exotic plant from www.gardeningexpress.co.uk and delivery took longer than I expected. Upon arrival plant was dead and there was no chance for recovery. I knew there was no way to save it.
I contacted the company I bought it from and received nothing but negative emotions. Their rep was very rude and in total customer service was appalling and unprofessional. I asked for another plant but they refused and claimed that it was not their fault that my plant got damaged.
I will never order from this company again!
seller posted wrong email address on the website
I ordered two rose trees from the company www.gardeningexpress.co.uk. I used the coupon and the sum wasn’t large at all. But the seller charged my card for the price, and there was no discount. I was shocked and started to send emails to the seller, but this person turned to be very wry and dishonest. He posted fake email address on the website and therefore it was completely impossible to contact him.
awful seller and he lies to much
I ordered two roses trees from the company www.gardeningexpress.co.uk. I paid large sum for the delivery, because I wanted to get the order as soon as possible. But to my surprise, these people charged me and told me that the order has been successfully sent. But it was big lie and scam. I found out about it only 5 days ago. I asked for refund, but the seller still hasn’t provided positive response.
Me too, £300 I have invested, no plants, no refund!
Disgusting ! I have been looking at them on Companies House. Seems they bought out their competitor recently..
Seller ignores me and I can't get my order
I bought Christmas orchid from the company www.gardeningexpress.co.uk. Please, be aware that the company is total crap. I waited for it within several days, but nothing .As well as it was impossible to get any info from the rep. I sent emails, but he didn’t reply. The worst services and attitude. These people are scammers and liars, who take money and provide nothing. Please post your comments about this company.
Quick to take your money, but try and complain or ask for refund - they will not answer you
AVOID!!! Was sent awful quality plants. Customer service non-existent. Quick to take your money, but try and complain or ask for refund - they will not answer you. Investigated further and found hundreds of similar complaints on the web. Also, as I live in North Essex I decided to track down the so-called UK's leading online Gardening Centre to find that...
