I can't unsubscribe
I can't unsubscribe. There's no place on my account to unsubscribe. They say there is, but there isn't. They keep trying to take $79 dollars from my bank account. I can't stop it because there's no way to unsubscribe. Please help me.
They keep spamming my card, but there ain't no way to cancel my membership
They keep spamming my card, but there ain't no way to cancel my membership. I signed up for a free trial to find info on my ancestor, but it turned out to be a big ol' disappointment. I've been trying to cancel multiple times, but there ain't no option for that. They keep bombarding my email and charging my card every single day, and I'm broke as a joke. Can someone please help me get rid of my card and account from this terrible website?
I paid for a one year subscription and asked to cancel (the auto renewal) and got billed again
I paid for a one year subscription and asked to cancel (the auto renewal) and got billed again. I used the online screen right after paying for one year to cancel the auto renewal option. I got an online screen confirmation. The company billed me again, won't reply. I tried cancelling again to stop another billing, got a confirmation but 10 minutes later it still shows the same, not cancelled.

Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.
On 3/17/2022, I started a 30-day FREE trial to GenealogyBank.com, they said they won't charge me the $79.00 yearly fee before 30 days
On 3/17/2022, I started a 30-day FREE trial to GenealogyBank.com, they said they won't charge me the $79.00 yearly fee before 30 days. But, guess what? Just eight (8) days later, my bank took out $79.00. They promised I had until April 16th to decide if I wanted to keep this membership. Before I said yes to this 30-day FREE trial, I checked them out on ComplaintsBoard.com, and they had an A rating. Well, I give them an F for lying. I really need my $79.00 back in my bank account ASAP.
GenealogyBank charged me $106.90 (August $53.45 and February $53.45) for stuff I didn't even ask for or get
GenealogyBank charged me $106.90 (August $53.45 and February $53.45) for stuff I didn't even ask for or get. I tried their 7 day trial, but canceled it before the time was up. But guess what? They still charged me. August $53.45 and February $53.45. I called them up to complain. The person on the phone couldn't give me my money back, even though they could see that I didn't use my account. They passed my call to their boss, but that boss hasn't called me back yet.
I signed up for a 7 day free trial, but I canceled it in less than 6 hours
I signed up for a 7 day free trial, but I canceled it in less than 6 hours. However, I got charged $79 last night. I signed up for a 7 day free trial, but I canceled it in less than 6 hours after finding the info I needed on a different website. Yet, I got charged $79 last night. When I saw the charge, I tried to access the site and cancel my membership again, but it said that option ain't available. I tried accessing the site this morning, but it gave me a server error message saying the site is redirecting me too many times to get to the actual website.
I tried out GenealogyBank's membership trial and they said they'd send me an email before it ended to remind me about the full membership charge
I tried out GenealogyBank's membership trial and they said they'd send me an email before it ended to remind me about the full membership charge. But guess what? I never got that email and they went ahead and renewed my membership automatically. I only noticed it on the day of the renewal and I've tried reaching out to them twice to cancel my membership and get my money back. But no response from them at all. Here's the deets: Renewal Date: March 5 Cancellation Date/Email to company: March 5 Amount: $79.00
I signed up for Genealogy Bank's 7 day free trial on 08/02/2022 and gave them my credit card info
I signed up for Genealogy Bank's 7 day free trial on 08/02/2022 and gave them my credit card info. The problem is, you can't log in and every time you reset the password, it doesn't work. I just sent them an email to cancel this on 08/04/2022 at 10pm, but they are closed and from reading the complaints on ComplaintsBoard.com, it looks like trouble. The 7 day free trial ends on Sunday or Monday, 08/07/2022 or 08/08/2022. I haven't received any service and not being able to log in means I can't cancel. The resolution is to cancel the subscription before it charges me. I am a journalist and thought to try the service, but this looks and acts like bad news.
On December 24, GenealogyBank took $45.47 from my credit card
On December 24, GenealogyBank took $45.47 from my credit card. I don't remember saying yes to this, and I can't get into my account to see why they did it. I emailed GenealogyBank (***) on December 28, but they haven't replied. I want my money back and I want GenealogyBank to promise they won't charge my card again. I've only had this card for less than two months because I had to cancel my old one when I had a fight about a charge from a different genealogy place. I don't want to cancel another card so soon.
I've been a member of GenealogyBank for a whole year now
I've been a member of GenealogyBank for a whole year now. I wanted to end my subscription, so I followed their instructions on their website and also after doing a Google search. They said to go to 'My Account' under my login name, then click on 'View or update my account information' under 'Update my Membership'. After that, I was supposed to click 'Cancel automatic Renewals'. They promised that my membership would be canceled and I would get an email confirming it. But guess what? I couldn't find the tab called "Update my Membership" anywhere. I even clicked on every link just in case they moved it somewhere else. I tried different browsers and did multiple searches on how to cancel. It seems to me that if they make it impossible to cancel on their website, there might be a problem with how transparent the company is. Forcing customers to renew their membership is not a good way to attract new customers. I really want a refund for the upcoming forced renewal. My account is under ***.
