i subscribed for Sunday only delivery and have not gotten the paper for the last 11 weeks. i call every sunday and same old story about how sorry they are and will get me a paper right out and nothing shows. getting tired of it and their promises.

I never placed an order for a subscription to the Modesto Bee. I have never received a newspaper . I began receiving calls from them to renew my subscription. I told them the above and was not interested in taking the paper. In May I received a bill for newspaper delivery, I wrote on the bill and mailed it with the same information included. Today I received a collection notice. I emailed the customer service. Explained the above and received a response telling me that they never got a cancellation notice from me and I owe the money. It makes no sense. I have not ordered service nor have I ever received service, nor do I want service from the Bee. Can you help with this? They don't seem to understand that I am not a customer. I have requested that the Modesto Bee , STOP sending any and all papers to both my Po box and bome address and they have not. I have called them 9 times from 10/3 - 12/6, and I have also written letters to their office and they refuse to stop. I told them that I have no interest in their papers and to please stop harssing me. Last letter dated 02/28. Whem I went to theier office on 12/11, to speak to somenone about the matter, I was told by the lady at the front desk that, there was no one for me to speak with and thay I need to leavs immediately before she push the button beneath the desk and call security. I also explained to them the problem they have created between meand my local postal department. CAN YOU PLEASE GET THEM TO STOP SENDING ME THESE UNDOLICITED AND UMWANTED PAPERS. I HAVE NO BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP WITH THIS COMPANY. Thank you

I decided to cancel my subscription to the Modesto Bee because they sent me bill raising my 13 week subscription rate to $70 almost $50 more than my previous renewal bill. Within 10 days they sent me a new offer allowing me to renew for $20. That's $50 less than original bill. So since I didn't take their bait I get a lower rate? I think that is an unethical business tactic. Regardless I renewed the newspaper subscription on April 13th. I have yet to receive a paper. I spoke to the Customer Service Department April 21,22,23,24 and 27. I have been promised a paper following each one of those calls. In fact, I spoke to a supervisor on 4/24 who promised me a paper on 4/26, This supervisor also took my phone number and said he would call me around 9 am on the morning of 4/26. Guess what no paper and no call. Today is April 29th and still no paper. I think there is a serious problem with upper management in this organization

Our subscription for only the Sunday edition to the Modesto Bee ran out February 14. The Bee has sent us several renewal forms which we ignored since we do not wish to renew and we assumed they would just stop delivering the paper. They have also called our home phone number numerous times and on some days we received more than one call. Despite not sending in payment to renew the subscription, to our surprise they continued delivering it. None of the renewal forms said anything about a "grace period" that we would be charged for. Today, May 25, we received a notice that we owe the Bee $41.94 with the due date of February 14. The notice also threatens to turn us over to a collection agency. No other publication we have ever subscribed too has ever resorted to such an underhanded technique as this. This is the first time they told us we would be charged for papers we did not order and did not pay for. If there is not a law against this then there should be.

I cancelled my subscription to the Modesto Bee in November at the end of my previous subscription. I emailed the customer service department and informed them that I did not wish to renew and to please cancel my subscription. They continued to send me papers after my request. I again emailed them on January 5 to again request cancelation of my subscription and indicated that this was my second request. Approximately one week ago I received a solicitation from the Modesto Bee acknowledging my cancelation and asking me to re-subscribe. It also indicated that I owed $50.55 for a past due amount for a subscription I cancelled repeatedly. This Saturday, March 13, I received a collection notice from *** indicating they were contracted to collect $50.55 on behalf of the Modesto Bee. I was upset to receive this notice, and do not wish this to harm my credit score. I am very dismayed by this situation and hope that your agency is able to help me resolve this.

I did not sign up for a Modesto Bee subscription, they offered COVID-19 information for free and I said OK to that. I am now getting emails from Modesto Bee wanting my credit card number for billing of my subscription. The message comes daily and says if I want to cancel I need to do that before it goes past the paid subscription or it will turn into a full subscription at full price. I have called them 3 times and they say I do not have a subscription. I have forwarded the email to them with a note that I do not want a subscription, later to STOP, STOP, STOP whatever it is they want my credit card to bill to. I called them again at service center at [protected] and she said there is no subscription with my email address or my old email address and to forward the message that I got from them to [protected]@modbee.com. I sent it to that email address and got a message back, "We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. The Modesto Bee values you as a subscriber and appreciates the chance you have given us. Please provide the information needed below as we were unable to locate the account with the details initially provided. Name on the account: Email Address: Amount Charge: Date Charge: Credit Card/Check/Paypal: Last Four Digits of the Credit Card:" I tried to call today but even though it was within their hours I again got a recording that they are closed at this time. If you need it, I can send you a copy of this last encounter by email. Please help me get the account that they want my credit card to bill, cancelled.
