We've had General Air Conditioning & Plumbing out a few times now. Always great service, they come when they say and keep you updated including texts with pictures of the techs so you know who you're expecting. The service techs are friendly, but professional and very knowledgeable! Totally recommend them!

Ivan L was great. He explained what I have been trying to find out for two weeks on running my new a/c. However, there were some problems from the start that no one would explain to me and did not return my calls. Even wrote a letter to the President and CEO of General A/C and received no reply. I am not impressed with this company or some of its employees. It was not handled well at all and I would certainly NOT recommend them.
Excellent service that I have used for all my plumbing and HVAC maintenance. Service is always prompt, professional and well done. Technicians are very professional and knowledgeable.

General A/C was fantastic! Very professional from the telephone receptionist to the technician who performed the repair. The follow up was outstanding as well. The technician was prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable. Time was not wasted getting to the problem at hand. He diagnosed and repaired the problem with rapid skill. This is a company that "gets it"! I would highly recommend General A/C and the technician Christian for all your A/C needs!

Air went out on a Saturday night - with temps in the 100s. Called ‘The General.’ Specialist Michael arrived an hour EARLY same night for appointment. Diagnosed problem in 10 minutes. Took 15 minutes explaining problem - and my options. Upon approval, took 20 minutes to fix. Repair cost half what I expected. ‘The General’ is everything they claim - and more. Talented tech Michael was skillful, intentional, on-purpose, and driven - why ‘The General’ is hands-down the best in the desert.

Julio Castro And Team With General Air Conditioning did an amazing job replacing my split system. They were professional and respectful of my family’s concerns during this difficult time with COVID-19. I would have to insist craftsmanship is definitely in their wheelhouse! They replaced our HVAC system completely and it is working beautifully. They also wrapped the platform in sheet metal for new gas furnace, evaporator, and hot water heater, to prevent against any condensation issues. The new system looks fantastic! I would highly recommend calling the General!

The service technician, Christian, who performed a routine maintenance check on my Lennox air conditioner today was not only competent but he was very pleasant to work with, took care of his movement (with ladder and other equipment) while moving within my home) and exhibited a positive attitude. I have had the unfortunate experience recently with several other maintenance and repair individuals who exhibit a total indifference to the task at hand and left me with the impression they resented even having a job. Perhaps the event of unemployment is having an impact.

Very professional. Wore his mask during the assignment. Provided quality feedback and pinpointed the issue with my AC unit without being pushy nor trying to pressure me into a new unit. Was able to demonstrate that the AC in general was working and just needed to have the circuit board replaced. This was my first time recieving AC service through The General, and I would definitely repeat in future and would recommend when the opportunity arises. Additionally, I appreciated the call 15-20min before the arrival from one of your staff members. Again thank you, you have an awesome staff.
I was very disappointed in the service man who put in the wrong size filter
I was very disappointed in the service man who put in the wrong size filter. I happen to notice it a few weeks after the service was done. When he came to replace the wrong size he had the exact same size as before. He left his ladder in the house and went to hi s truck. I didn’t see him for an hour. He never told me what he was doing or if he left. He came to the house about 5:10 and didn’t get finished until almost 7 pm. He was scheduled to be at my home between 1pm-3pm. The office was kind enough to call and say he was running late and would be there about 4pm. But as I said before he showed up after 5 pm.

I have been using General Air for well over 10 years and have a monthly service contract with them. I would not do that if I did not trust them and appreciate their Prompt, efficient and courteous service. They have done work on my air conditioning, my heater and my plumbing and I am extremely pleased with all the work they have completed. Also, recently they sent Rueben to help me install a new smoke detector as I was dealing with a fractured wrist. He also graciously put in a new lightbulb for me. Huge kudos to Rueben. Thank you for being there during these trying times of COVID 19. It is SO greatly appreciated.

I hold this company and employees in high regard. They work hard as a team to do whatever it takes to give you services you expect as a customer. Once they installed my new A/C they never failed to continue to make sure I am satisfied and happy with my experience. If you want a company that listens to you and responds respectfully and knowledgable and solves all your issues then this is the A/C plumbing company for you! We had our system installed a year ago.. it was an AC/Furnace and included air duct replacement for both the unit and our evaporative cooler. It was started on the agreed upon date and the install was one of the smoothest, efficient, organized process that we had seen. The team was efficient, friendly, professional, and kept us up to date on the progress and when they left the area was clean as well. We could not believe how much better the performance of the system was- quiet and great air flow. It has cooled and heated the house very quickly. We have also engaged the company to provide annual maintenance and again it has been performed is the same high quality fashion. We have been very pleased with the company and highly recommend them.

Chris Coia and his partner installed a new air conditioner today. They arrived at 8 am and finished the job after 3 pm. It's been 120 deg. F outside since early this week. My compressor burned out on a 14-year-old a/c. I called the General and Christian and Skip were at my home the next day. The temps inside my house were 99 deg. F. I was close to heat exhaustion when they arrived. Christian gave me a bottle of Gatorade he had in his truck. Who does that? Talk about going above and beyond one's duty! Words are insufficient to express my gratitude to the wonderful people running the office at The General and the technicians who are super well-qualified and credentialed. They are able to exactly pinpoint the problem, explain what happened, and present the pros and cons of choosing replacements. The General is clearly top-notch and I highly recommend them, without any reservations.

David T. was fantastic to work with. Extremely professional, but very personable. He took the time to explain the issues that my unit had & took a generous amount of photos so that any other technicians who serviced my unit in the future would know the ins & outs of what they were dealing with. He was kind enough to have Tanya P. come to my home to explain the options of a new system. She went through any way she knew of to help me get financed. This is why I have been a loyal customer since I bought my first home in 2009 (w/ the exception of a lapse in judgment when I used a different company to purchase & install a new unit because they were cheaper). The service alone is hands down the best, not just in the industry, but across all businesses. Paying more for a necessary piece of equipment in your home will give you the genuine piece of mind that you are taken care of for the life of your unit when you go thru The General Air Conditioning & Plumbing. On Wednesday August 19th, we had General Air Conditioning and Plumbing come to the house to check out our Bosh on demand water heater
On Wednesday August 19th, we had General Air Conditioning and Plumbing come to the house to check out our Bosh on demand water heater. 2 guys showed up about 3, looked at the heater, then measured our water pressure, which was near 100PSI, they determined our pressure regulator was defective. so they replaced it. After they did that, we only had very little water coming out of the faucets. They then checked the street meter and said we probably had a leak which was strange as everything was fine with the faucet flow before they started. They left saying we should call a leak detector. We had them back Thursday afternoon and they readjusted the pressure to no avail. On Friday Clas called Palm Springs Plumbing. They could not come until Tuesday. At least we had enough pressure to fill toilets slowly and get drinking water. On Tuesday, PSP came out and within 10 minutes discovered that The General guys had installed the pressure regulator backwards, he fixed that, and ala we had water. We also discovered the General guys were reading the neighbor's meter not ours which was hidden in tall grass. PSP will come out and check the water heater this next week. Will we do business with General again, hell no.

This complaint is about a manufacturer rebate. They said I'd get a $1,000 rebate for an AC/Heating unit in my son's condo. But the rebate company only paid $500.00. I reached out to General A/C and Plumbing, and they said they'd reimburse the other $500.00. On 2/9, the agent told me they signed a check and sent it on either 2/6 or 2/8. But it's now 2/17 and I still haven't gotten the check.
