Bad GM.
I bought 3 cars from here. Sales was okay. In November , I leased 2 new cars: 2019 Genesis G70 and 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe.
After I took the cars home, I saw that the smoked chrome on the G70 looked really worn on one side. I took it in 3 times before they finally replaced it. Later, the rest of the chrome trim looked the same. I found out that it's a known manufacturing defect with the smoked chrome on G70s, so I took the car back to replace it. The service manager Christina said they couldn't replace it, but they could clean it up with a polish. It looked good, but Christina said it would wear off and they wouldn't fix it again. A week later it looked bad.
I called Genesis and they said to talk to the GM. I left Darrin 3 messages over 10 days, but he didn't call back. I wanted to bring the car in so he could see the problem, but I wanted him to know the history over the past year. He didn't even call back.
If this is how they treat a returning customer who spent over $100k, how hard will they work for you? Go somewhere else.

I'm really bummed to write this review, 'cause I think Hyundai cars are pretty sweet. But this review is all about the dealership and how they do lease buyouts. I got a Hyundai for my daughter in 2019 and the lease ended in May 2022. Hyundai told me to go to the nearest dealership if I wanted to buy the car with the lease buyout option. So I called and made an appointment, but they said I had to pay $500 for a safety inspection that wasn't even mentioned in my lease contract. Then, when I got there, they said the inspection was $600 and the tag and title fees would be $799! I looked it up and found out that tag and title fees in Florida are only about $75. I asked about the fees and told them it wasn't in my lease contract. Then I called Hyundai Motor Finance and they said I could use a third party company called Tresl. I called Tresl and they said their fee was only $399 plus tags and title, which was $136. I told the salesman Alan about it and even showed him an article about how dealerships are charging illegal fees to customers trying to buyout their leased car. In the end, I used Tresl and saved $1000 in fees that Lakewood Hyundai said were non-negotiable and required by the state of Florida! I'm super disappointed in my only interaction with this dealership. They lied and tried to take my money for no reason. I wouldn't trust buying from them either. My lease buyout was $16027 and attached are photos of what the dealership wanted to charge and what Tresl charged.

I sold my car to Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood and we signed all the papers. I had a loan with Hyundai Finance that they were supposed to pay off so I could get the title and a check for the purchase balance. It's been 3 weeks now and when I called Hyundai Finance, they said the loan hasn't been paid off yet. Gettel Hyundai has my car and I haven't received the check yet. Do I need to get a lawyer involved? I talked to them and they said the check is at Hyundai Finance but they don't have the title yet. I think they're lying to me. Thanks

I had a problem with my car's windshield getting all foggy and wet on September 9th, 2022 at 7:30AM. I thought it was because of the temperature inside the car. But then, on September 29th, 2022, I saw water on the inside of the windshield again. I had to use a squeegy and towels to dry it. I called Gettel Hyundai of LWR, but nobody called me back. So, I drove to the dealership and they told me that it wouldn't be covered under WARRANTY. They said I had to contact my insurance. But there's no damage to the *** on the *** windshield, and I haven't had to replace it before. My car only has *** miles.

Sep. 20, 2021. So, I got my oil changed a few weeks ago at Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood. But then, I noticed some oil drippings on my driveway. I didn't think much of it at first, since I had driven the car a few thousand miles. But then, the oil leak got worse and I had to stop driving the car. I took it to my friend who checked it out and told me that there was a crack in the oil pan. He changed the oil and suggested that I contact the dealer to see if they could help me out. I made an appointment and took the car in today. But guess what? Hyundai won't cover the repair under the 10/100 warranty. And the dealer won't take responsibility for the damage their service department caused. They said something about an aftermarket filter and washer. So, I'm picking up the car now and I'll have to pay someone else to fix their mistake. It's gonna cost me a lot, I bet.

We got a new car on 12/23 and they talked us into some extra coverage stuff. They said we could cancel it within 30 days if we changed our minds. So, I called them the next week to cancel three of the things. I had to drive 100 miles round trip to sign some forms on 1/14. But then the finance guy left and there were some problems. After a couple of months, I still hadn't heard anything about the refunds, so I went back to the dealership. They said it could take 90 days to get the money back. But it still wasn't fixed, so I asked again. They gave us back the money for two of the things, but now they're saying we can't cancel the "Auto Butler" thing. We were told we could cancel it and we signed papers twice to do it like they asked. We think they're punishing us for their own mistakes and we need help.

I went to Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood on 4/27 to fix my car. They had to order a part and Mike said he would call me in a few days to bring the car back. But, after 1 1/2 weeks, I had to call Mike because he never called me. He apologized and told me to bring the car in on 5/8. When I brought the car in, they broke another part while fixing it, so I had to take a loaner car. I explained that my mom was on hospice and I needed my car to get to Oklahoma to be with her. Mike didn't seem to care and said my car wouldn't be ready until 5/12. I explained again that I needed to leave that day, but he said the warranty only pays for 4 days of the loaner, so it would only be until 5/12. I had no money or way to get to my dying mother. They offered to extend the loaner by 1 day, but it's a 2 day drive. My boss loaned me money and bought 3 one-way tickets for me, my aunt, and my daughter. On 5/12, Mike texted me saying the part was back-ordered and now it's 5/15 and my car is still not done.

I got a new 2020 Santa Fe from Gettle Hyundai of Lakewood. But, I noticed some issues with the car as soon as I got home. The tint and the ghost armor screen protector on the radio had bubbles and finger prints on the sticky side of both items. I took the car back to Gettle Hyundai and Christina from Service said she would fix it. They did replace the items, but the new installation had the same problem. I took the car back again and they only changed 1 window for the tint. But, when I got home, I noticed they had scratched the hood of my brand new car. I called the sales manager Adam D. and told him that the rear suspension on my car was snapped in half on the right side and it was made out of plastic. I asked them to fix it asap. But, he said he was not going to help me out and they were not owning up to the scratches they had created on the hood of my car. He then said I am not helping you good luck with your car and as he was hanging up on my he vulgarly swore at me. I tried to reach my Sales rep Caitlin G. but I was sent to her voice mail. Christina never called me back to get these things fixed on my car. Gettle Hyundai is responsible for fixing my car for all of the damages they caused to my brand new car. I have sent them customers and this is how they conduct business to loyal customers. Gettle Hyundai has breached the terms of our contract and not for filling the obligation of the warranty and they have also damaged my vehicle and refused to fix the damage the created to my vehicle.

Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood has had my car for over a month! I took it in to get the oil light checked and they told me a week later that the oil pressure switch was broken. They said I shouldn't drive it anymore because it could get worse. They couldn't tell me when it would be fixed because they didn't have the parts. I asked for a loaner car, but they said no and offered me a rental for $38 a day. I called the manager, but they never called me back. They said my warranty would cover everything, but I think they're fixing things that don't need fixing. It's crazy that Hyundai doesn't have a plan for loaner cars. I've been so inconvenienced and had to pay for rides. I want them to pay me back $1,140 for the rental and give me a loaner car until it's fixed. I called today and they still don't know when it will be done. It's been a nightmare.

I got a Genesis G70 from Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood in November . I noticed that the trim around one of the windows was faded and looked old. I found out that it was a known issue and the dealership should replace it. After three trips, they finally replaced it. But a month later, the rest of the trim looked the same. I went back to the dealership, and they buffed it out, but they said it was the last time they would help. I tried to fix it myself, but I couldn't. I called Genesis, and they told me to talk to the GM at the store. I left three messages, but they didn't call back. I left a review on Google and filed a complaint with the ComplaintsBoard.com. The dealership called me back and said they would help. They took my car back to service, but they had a hard time cleaning the chrome. They agreed to replace it and took photos of the vehicle. They picked up my car for an oil change and told me they would replace all the chrome. But I didn't hear anything for weeks, so I followed up. I followed up again a month later and sent an email to the GM and his assistant. I asked for a refund and for them to take the car back. I didn't get a response. Today, the GM claimed that he called me on Thursday and we agreed to a resolution, but that's not true. I'm disappointed with the dishonest sales practice and poor customer service.
