Hair Straightener
I received authorization to send a straightener, still covered by warranty, for repair. Although I live in the US, the return label provided was for Jemella in the UK. I sent it back 3-Jul 2023, and it was tracked as received on 24-Jul 2023. I have the confirmation of both. Since then I haven’t heard anything about my item. I contacted GHD twice by email and received vague replies about dealing with backlogs that didn’t directly pertain to my situation. At this point I have no straightener and my warranty was not honored. This is terrible service.
Claimed loss: Hair straightener under warranty $200, plus loss of product for 6 months.

On 11th July 2023 I contacted GHD via their website to report that a replacement pair of straighteners (received December 2021 and therefore in warranty) had stopped working. I was advised that their ‘warranty system is currently down for maintenance’ and they would be in touch with me in ‘due course’ with a returns label once it is back up up and running...

My GHD stopped working a few weeks ago, red flashing light making noises and cutting out. I returned them to the address and labels provided to me 7th July. I have my receipt as proof that they were delivered 10th July. I have sent numerous emails, what's app messages, Instagram messages and tried calling but the phone lines have been down for over a week. I received 1 email saying that they would action my return once they had received the goods, and also asked me to provide proof I had sent the straightners - to which I have. I haven't heard anything else back and want a response ASAP. The customer service is the worst I have experienced, its just plain rude. As you are aware, these products aren't cheap and if they worked in the first place I wouldn't have needed to return them. I want to know have they found my straightners, and I want them sending back the next day in perfect working order.

3rd pair of broken ghd and terrible customer service
I have just sent back the 3rd pair of broken ghd after 7weeks of receiving it (even tho I had limited edition twice before ) it got replaced with a black pair that I specified I didn’t want.
I’ve had no contact from ghd to give me an option, just a notification to say “dispatch “ no clarification what is coming or even an option to pick as this was what I was told.
I’m at the end of my tether with this! It’s absolutely disgusting service

I have been a customer for over 20years always looked after my products i have now been told I sent some back with the cover on the ends and they now have scratches and a chip out one of the plates I asked for photos to prove the cover was still in the box nothing been told they are being sent back not repaired and nothing I can do this is disgusting

GHD desire order
Good Day,
I placed an order on 30 November for the GHD Desire, Money was taken from my account, however on the 8th December without receiving the product or any notification, the money was reversed back into my account, to my understanding the order would have then been cancelled as GHD/Jamella had not claimed the funds. I took it upon myself to then order my GHD Desire set from Italy as I am in Malta and thought perhaps there was a customs issue with the one coming from the UK and that's why the funds had been reversed, I paid and all has gone smoothly re order from italy, however on the evening of the 9th, Jemella UK took it upon themselves to take the €350 from my account again without any notification or authorization, which has now resulted in my account been in a debt aswell as me having two GHDs on the way which makes no sense. The GHD UK will need to recall the order and process the funds back into my account as they refunded me for the initial order placed prior to me ordering from Italy due to their mishap. Kindly advise asap.

I bought the white GHD unplugged straighteners from in July this year .
I am very disappointed with these straightens .
After being fully charged they are losing charge by the day . When I come to use them they have little or no charge left at all .
As these were very expensive straighteners surely this is a fault and I would like a full refund in view of this

I have had my God's for about 9 years I do not use them that often perhaps 1/2 a week my hair. On Monday I was heading out and I sectioned of my hair starting at the bottom, thankfully as my God's overheated and burnt /syringed my hair. I could smell burning and Immediately turned the power off. In front of my eyes the heated plate started to pop out.
I am so lucky that serious damage did not occur to my hair or indeed burns to my skin. I know I have them for a good few years even so It was very frightening experience and should never have happened.

placed order, money taken - no emails or updates
Placed an order over 10 days ago and received no email but the money was taken right away. I emailed them and they told me their website is having problems and I will get my order, 2 days later no reply. Called the company, you cannot speak to anyone they just put you to voicemail. Nothing. Called again left voicemail and I kept getting no caller is phone calls which I don't answer and I then forget an email saying we have tried to contact you but your voicemail is full which it isn't and they said let us know when to call again, I replied immediately and told them to contact now, they did not. I called customer service again and now THEIR voicemail is full and have no other way to contact and am out $160. Very unprofessional of them, I've been using ghd products for years and I don't know at to do now ...
item not dispatched and no update on tracking details from customer service
Hi, I've placed order for a GHD Air hair dryer on 19th Jan 2019 and received an email on 22nd Jan 2019 stating my order [protected] has been dispatched. However, a few days later I went to the website to check the tracking details only to notice that the status of this order is completed and delivered where I did not receive anything from GHD yet. I've contacted the UK customer service but no answer and assistance was given. I'm extremely upset to the extend that I told the customer service staff to cancel the order and refund to me but no assistance was given either. Kindly look into this issue, Jemella. I would like a refund now. I have waited one week for the hair dryer and still no updates.

Yes, this is a cheap website, so don't be naive (like me) and don't expect anything at all from them.
They have no wonderful customer service. Judging by their behavior and manner of speech they don't really care and probably their office is a small room above hair salon with one or two people there. It is not inconceivable that I'm mistaken.
And my issue is simple and haven't resolved yet: they never shipped my order and probably are not going to...
GHD limited edition Blue Peacock Styler
After many years' research and reading hundreds of reviews, I decided to buy a GHD hair straightener keeping in view the quality of the product and it being proclaimed as less damaging for hair, albeit it was very excessive and way beyond my budget. Since one does not get this product in India, it was high on my agenda when I visited UK in 2012. Just so that I buy the best product and the right one, I went to Selfridges and even though I did not want the more expensive limited edition one, got carried away by the sales pitch made by the sales girl (that's squarely on me, not her fault, obviously she did a great job).
I had such high expectations of this straightener but Boy! I couldn't be more WRONG! I have thick, straight hair but wavy and frizzy in rainy season. After several minutes of effortful straightening, they seem barely straight but if I spend more than 10 minutes outside, POOF my hair frizz right back up. VERY DISAPPOINTED and wondering how has the company managed such good word of mouth. Though I have barely used the iron but have been stuck with it having spent a bomb on it.

We bought a GHD hairstyle from an approved middleman and had only good service the whole way, we registerded the product and we used it for over a year when the unit sort of exploded in my daughters hand.The customer department was very efficient, picked it up the same day and returned a new one within a week.
My complaint is that the new unit is only guaranteed for the remaining original guarantee.They do not stand behind their product and have many lousy excuses.If I would buy a similar unit at a Game store I have more back up and guarantee.
The point is, a new hairstraightener should come with the full 24 months guarantee

Please please I hope you can help me with my problem
First I want to thank GHD for this type of styler...I'm using this styler now for many years and will never look back. However, I bought a purple styler on the 21st of December 2012 for my daughter so when she came to visit the 26th of December 2012 it didn’t even came on and had scratches on it...I contact the supplier (Consultant for GHD – or middle person for this consultant) and she told me that it got scratched when GHD did the packaging and they don’t take responsibility for that….and I have to wait for a minimum of 2 weeks so that they can send it to Cape Town to be tested...my argument was that this is a brand new one and didn’t even worked when we tried to put it on…after numerous disagreements she exchanged it after a few days...my daughter used the new one that night and she said again that this styler doesn’t work right….(just some more information…we have natural curly hair…so the only styler for us is a GHD)…so I contacted the consultant again...her reply was that there is no guarantee on the styler...I told her that I rather want my money back and will go to the people I always use…..her reply was again that there is not a money back policy…she is currently testing it now for a week in her hair salon and claim that it works a 100%...my problem is that it will work a 100% on straight hair…but on our hair type it doesn’t (with my GHD her hair is straight within 45min…with her cheap straighner it takes her an hour and a half…with this straighner it takes her 3 hours…and then still looks frizzy)...she told me I must sell this reject styler myself if I want my money back…..and her reply on the money back was...(where the hell must I ### this money out now)..currently she is also 'trying' to sell the faulty second hand styler...and I must just wait patiently until whenever she can get a buyer…and like I said…if I can’t wait…I must sell it myself…how can consultants of GHD expect the public to sell this faulty styler to someone else

This is really unacceptable and I will never ever go to any other straighner again…but someone must protect the public from Consultants for GHD of this…they give GHD very bad publicity….and I am at the point to go to an attorney and the newspapers…because I’m almost sure that I am not the only customer with this problem…I will not contact her again…I think the best way is to go public with this…but would rather wait until Monday to see if someone at GHD can maybe help me with this problem…I will so much appreciate it.
The person I bought the styler from is Desire [protected] ) and she doesn’t want to give me the person’s name or telephone number where I had to pick up the straighner because she didn’t have a vehicle to go and pick it up. I only have an address. 121 Zea Ave Arconpark Vereeniging Gauteng…apparently she is the direct consultant….but are never home….and I can’t get a cell number to contact her myself.
GHD must really try to cut out the one-man suppliers and rather use Clicks or Verimark or Game…so that the public can immediately return / exchange the stylers

Having believed i was ordering from a legitimate organization, my personal experience to date has an should cause alarm bells for anyone contemplating using this site. Having failed to recieved my order, i was subjected to a series of lies and misinformation by their staff. Goods were not delivered
I purchased a pair of GHD hair straighteners from a website entitled theghdhairstraighteners.co.uk and the transaction showed up on my credit card as The Trendy Store. I ordered these last week and they still haven't arrived. Funnily enough, the GHD website I bought them from has now disappeared and when I tried to email to find out what had happened to my order the email bounced back!
I think I have been duped and would urge people to be sure a website is genuine before they purchase any items. Luckily I didn't pay a lot for the straighteners but I don't like being ripped off. I now have my credit card company and Trading Standards investigating further for me.

Not received, order cannot be traced
Ordered from this site on Jan3rd, money taken from my account on Jan 7th but had mysteriously changed into chinese currency and taken by a company called womentribe.com. Emailed loads but keep getting fobbed off with excuses of not having received my order. Told them I was going to report it and had an email stating that their website has been refreshed and all details had been lost. How convenient for them. Hoping to get money back via my bank and Visa. Will buy from my local hair salon if I get my money back.
I have received a refund to-day from womentribe.com. I understand from my bank that they contacted this company and asked for my card to be refunded. I am pleased to get my money back but still annoyed that they will still carry on trading and ripping people off. My advice is to stay clear of this Company as it certainly is dodgy.

I bought a GHD online as well though a UK GHD site as well, it sound's exactly what happened to me . I had $98 taken out of my account by womentribe.com...I then was locked out of the website same as you... but i didn't even contact them thinking i had been scammed and copped it. I just the other day noticed the same company womentribe.com had put $94 back onto my credit card.. so they ended up taking a few dollars but i never heard from them via email or anything as to what happened. Very strange cause i never thought i would see that money again... maybe give it a little while you may get your money back as well...Good luck !
That is really bad news, must have been really disappointing for you. There are genuine websites, you can see a list on ghdhair.com, one of them is http://www.ghds.co.uk, they are a company based in Scotland and they are genuine GHD suppliers. Hope you manage to get your money back then you can get some more.
I got sent fakes
I bought 3 sets of ghd hair starighteners from them and i was in constant touch with them via email before buying them but when they arrived i only got another 2 emails and when i asked for my full refund which is promised on tehir website i never heard anything from them again and yet i emialed from a nother email address under a different name asking to buy some and the next day i got an email saying that they were genuine and not fakes and that they came direct from the manufacturers. They even have the holgram numbers on them but what alerted me was that all my 3 sets had teh same code numbers and even when i registered them with ghd they sent me an email saying they were genuine until i called thm in the uk and they said that every single set has completely different codes numbers. So ! Pure fakes and pure con.Dont buy it looks a great website but its a no-no.

NoN Delivery after payment done
My name is Teddy, i have returned my GHD straightenet to the company GHD, it was faulty after +/- 2 mths, i have returned ny post to jemella.
I waited for a few months, no word from GHD, I called from Oman, spoken to person, they said they would like to reurn a new GHD t o me but i need to pay the postage, i have given my credit card number to charge me the postange, until this day I have not received, I called them, they said they will talk to the delivery post company and they will come back to me but until today no word from GHD at all.
Please help, if they cannot give me my stuff, they should say so & we call it a day, it was a gift to my dear wife, it sentimntal to us. I have complained on their web site but i have no feedback from GHD.
