Global Discovery Vacations review: Membership and cancelation

Dear Sir.

I booked this reservation. Then I found out my husband had to work. Then looked at the reservation they sent and didn't find a contact email. So I called and wait 25 minutes for someone to answer. No one answered I eventually hung up.

There is no email to respond to at all, even when I looked them up Google, and did not find any email or fax number to let them know I had to cancel this reservation from 9/28/23 - 10/6/2023. I attempted to cancel on. 9/13/2023.

When I originally booked this reservation, it said specifically that there were no refunds of any kind. It DIDN'T SAY, you can buy this insurance to bypass the no refund policy "That's why I didn't buy the insurance in the first place." This is what gentleman I spoke to today at +[protected]. Then the guy hung up on me today. Also, it doesn't show you the option for insurance into after you see the pop screen showing no refunds including acts of God.

I didn't buy the insurance plan because it said, "...no acts of God will be given a refund for any circumstance", so why bother buying their insurance? This makes no sense. Please see attached.

I asked if they could make an exception because I have not been able to use this Lifetime Membership # GD282389.

This was the second call I received today. I again tried to explain this in the two emails I sent earlier from two emails I received from Global Discovery Vacations (related to something else).

Here is what I was told previously but it is simply not true. We ONLY signed up because we looked up 12 locations near national parks within reasonable driving distance, but then after spent $7000 dollars plus" none of these locations actually showed up in their "Live Inventory" and none were anywhere near national parks. (Arches NP, Glacier NP, Yellowstone NP, Grand Canyon NP, Bryce Canyon NP, Grand Tetons NP, Badlands NP, Redwoods NP, Rocky Mountain NP, etc.). We like to hike and observe nature and wildlife plus I am an avid nature photographer.

Also, when i brought up the concern of "Special Buys" (See attached) were were $99.00 (which are NO MORE), I got tricked/mislead to an "upgraded membership" which is actually is not. It was a, sales pitch. They are almost always more fees after you book a condo reservation and many of the places charge more (resort fees, sometimes daily, only one set of towels will be provided, blah, blah, blah, dish soap, no live bodies upon arrival when check in is late arrival - see attached screenshots as one example of many -

Can't see the unit features itself, - whethere is a, too kitchen, etc. These terms conditions didn't exist under the old membership. The last did not take the time to EXPLAIN ANY OF THESE new conditions if I signed on to this "upgraded" membership, so I feel strongly now, that we have been screwed on our current membership which costs us $7000.00 plus for a lifetime membership.

I asked them as a courtesy for one time, could they give us a one time refund of $379.00. He said no. Additionally, they wouldn't give us a credit either. I will probably go to BBB and report them soon for misleading us strongly on our membership.
