Disappointing Experience with Greentoe: Bad Camera, Poor Customer Service, and No Recourse
I recently made a big purchase on Greentoe.com, ordering a Canon 5D Mark IV camera and a Canon 24-70mm 2.4 lens. These were high dollar purchases, and I was hoping to save some money by using Greentoe. The discount I received was only slightly less than what I would have gotten at a brick and mortar store or through B&H or Adorama, two popular online camera shops.
Unfortunately, when I received the camera, it was bad out of the box. I've been trying to return it for several months now, but I've had an extremely difficult time working with Greentoe. They haven't been very helpful, and I'm now stuck with a $3500 camera that hasn't worked properly since I purchased it. I have no option to return it and no help from Greentoe.
The lens, which cost $1700, arrived from Adorama as the seller. I tried to contact Adorama with questions about adding damage coverage, but they were very rude and unhelpful. They didn't want to work with me through a third-party seller, even though the purchase went through Adorama.
If you're making a big purchase like this, I highly recommend considering using a local shop if at all possible. I've had zero help from Greentoe and no recourse after spending thousands of dollars. It's been a huge and expensive regret.
To make matters worse, the product took longer than the quoted time to arrive. Overall, I'm very disappointed with my experience using Greentoe. I wish I had gone with a different option for my camera and lens purchases.
Mixed Experience with Greentoe: Potential for Improvement in Communication
I was looking for a new LG TV and decided to try out Greentoe. I made an offer and was surprised to receive a response within minutes. They said that if I increased my offer by a couple hundred dollars, it would be accepted immediately. I decided to go for it and provided my credit card information. However, several days passed and I didn't hear anything back. I was starting to get worried, so I contacted support to ask when I would find out who the vendor was. Unfortunately, I didn't receive a response.
Feeling frustrated, I decided to inquire about cancelling my order. Once again, I didn't receive a reply. A few days later, I received an email asking for more personal information because their fraud check had failed. This made me feel suspicious, so I decided to cancel my credit card and purchase from an authorized dealer on eBay instead.
After writing my initial review (which has since been edited), I was contacted by Greentoe. They assured me that they were not a scam and apologized for the communication issues. While I think they are probably legitimate, the lack of communication really cost them this sale.
Despite my negative experience, I do think that Greentoe has potential. I might give them another chance in the future, but for now, I'm sticking with my eBay dealer. I decided to edit my review to give a neutral rating and provide insight into my experience. Hopefully, this will help future customers and Greentoe improve their communication in the future.
Poor Customer Service and Policy Enforcement from Greentoe for Canon Camera Purchase
So, I decided to buy a fancy Canon camera from Greentoe. When I got it, I noticed that there were some hot/stuck pixels in the EVF. I was pretty bummed out about it, so I sent an email to Greentoe to let them know what was going on. They copied the seller on the email, but then I didn't hear anything back for like four or five days. I was starting to get pretty frustrated, you know?
Anyway, it turns out that the seller was only replying to the Greentoe customer service email address, which is why I wasn't getting any updates. Finally, Greentoe forwarded me the seller's reply, which had a return address and an RA number. According to Greentoe's FAQs, if you get an item that's damaged or missing parts or whatever, the retailer is supposed to send you an RA number and a pre-paid label so you can send it back. But I didn't get any of that stuff, and I still haven't gotten a receipt either.
I mean, the FAQs also say that you'll get a proper receipt from the retailer so you can register the product and get the full manufacturer warranty. But I haven't gotten anything like that, and it's been a real pain trying to get one. Honestly, I'm not sure I want to buy anything else from Greentoe after this experience. Their customer service has been pretty sketchy, and they don't seem to be honoring their own policies.
Greentoe.com Review: A Sketchy Scam for Electronics Shoppers
Greentoe.com ain't the best place to buy your electronics. They don't pick up the phone or chat with you, only email. And even then, they only email you back if they think they can make some money off of you. They won't even tell you where they're located, which is kinda sketchy if you ask me.
I was trying to bid on six different HDTVs, but they canceled all of them after I complained about them telling the dealers my price. That's not cool, man. It made me suspicious, so I did some digging. Turns out, a lot of people have had bad experiences with this company.
I think it's just some dude working out of his basement, trying to get lower prices from companies. And if you have a problem with your order, you're on your own. Legit companies won't cover your warranty if you bought through a third party like Greentoe. And Greentoe won't help you out if you get a bad product. They'll just ignore your emails.
You might get your stuff, or you might not. But you definitely won't get a legit warranty from an authorized dealer like Greentoe claims. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I tried to warn people on slickdeals.net, but they blocked my email. It seems like they're covering for Greentoe and letting them scam people with fake warranties.
So, in conclusion, Greentoe is a scam. Don't waste your time or money on them.
Disappointing Experience with Greentoe: A Review of Their Double Wall Oven Offerings
So, I was in the market for a double wall oven and after doing some research, I found the perfect model for me - the Electrolux EI30EW48TS. While looking for the best price, I stumbled upon Greentoe and decided to give it a try. The idea of making an offer and having retailers compete for my business sounded great, so I went ahead and made an offer for the oven I wanted.
I was very clear in my offer that I wanted a brand new, this year's model, and not a second or return. I also requested that the agreed-upon price include tax and shipping. To my surprise, I received an email from Jason Williams at Greentoe stating that my offer had been accepted and that the oven would be brand new and cost $2000 all-in, including shipping. I was thrilled and congratulated myself on finding such a great deal.
However, my excitement was short-lived when I asked for an invoice and received an email from Jason apologizing for mixing up the models. He thought I was referring to the EI30EW45PS model, which was not the one I wanted. I was confused and frustrated that he had made such a mistake, especially since I had been very clear in my offer about the model I wanted. It made me wonder if they were being sloppy or if it was some kind of scam.
Despite my disappointment, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and waited for a proper counter-offer. However, I never received one and ended up wasting my time on this whole ordeal. I was very disappointed with the experience and would not recommend Greentoe to anyone. If you value your time, I suggest you look elsewhere for your shopping needs.
Disappointing Experience with Greentoe: Unreliable Service and Poor Customer Support
I recently tried out Greentoe for the first time and I have to say, I'm not too impressed with their service. I had an offer accepted on November 12th, but just two days later on November 14th, I received an email from their support team stating that the retailer had sold out of the item I had purchased. They offered to ship it to me as soon as they restocked, which they said would be within 5-7 days. They also mentioned that the retailer may charge my card to hold the item for me, which I was okay with.
However, it's now been two weeks since my initial offer was accepted and I still have no idea what's going on. Thankfully, my card was never charged, but my offer is still listed as accepted on their website. I've tried emailing their support team multiple times, but I haven't received any responses. When I called their number, I was greeted with a recording stating that they aren't offering phone support at the moment and to send an email instead. It's frustrating to say the least.
As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I wouldn't recommend using Greentoe's service.
Update: I did receive a phone call from Greentoe recently and they promised that my item would ship next week. However, that ship date has come and gone and I still haven't received my TV. When I asked for my order to be cancelled, they stopped responding to my emails altogether. It's one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in the age of the internet. I would strongly advise against using Greentoe.
Greentoe Review: Scored a Killer Deal on a Samsung Q80 65" TV!
I gotta say, I had a pretty sweet experience with Greentoe! I was on the hunt for a new Samsung Q80 65" TV and these guys hooked me up with a deal that was too good to pass up. I'm definitely gonna be spreading the word about this service to all my peeps!
My bro actually put me on to Greentoe after he copped a new LG OLED B9 65" TV using their service. He got a killer deal and was raving about how easy the whole process was. I was a little hesitant at first, but after hearing his glowing review, I figured I'd give it a shot.
I started by throwing out a couple offers on some TVs I had my eye on and before I knew it, a Greentoe rep hit me up via email. We went back and forth a few times, with me trying to see if they could match (or beat) the prices I was seeing on Ebay. They schooled me on the risks of buying "grey market" TVs and assured me that all the TVs they sell come from authorized retailers and come with the full manufacturer warranty.
After a few rounds of emails and counter offers, I finally accepted their offer. The next day, I got an email saying my TV had been shipped out (complete with all the shipping deets like PO#, shipping company name, and tracking number). It took about a week for the TV to arrive since it was being shipped across the country via freight. The shipping company even called me ahead of time to set up a delivery date and time, and they showed up right on schedule.
I double-checked and confirmed that my TV was sold through an authorized Samsung retailer, just like Greentoe promised. Everything went super smooth and I'm stoked with my new TV purchase through Greentoe!
Buyer Beware: My Terrible Experience with Greentoe
So, I was reading some reviews and decided to give Greentoe a try. I made an offer and got a great counter offer, which I accepted. Greentoe is required to let you know if the item is in stock and will ship right away or if there is any delay, and they did just that. Once I accepted the offer, they charged me right away. Everything went smoothly until I didn't receive any email from the actual vendor for quite a few days. Finally, I received an email from the vendor with my order and a link to create a sign in to follow it. I did all this and continued to follow up online, but to no avail. After a full week of nothing, I emailed customer service, but got no answer. I then called and was given the complete runaround about the item order not being sent to the warehouse for shipping yet. This was frustrating because on their actual website, the item shows in stock and if ordered that day, an expected delivery of Sept. 21-26th at the latest. SERIOUSLY!
After detailing all these facts to the customer service agent, she rudely kept cutting me off with the same scripted runaround, with no actual answer to my question or statements to back anything up. I explained my situation in full and asked if I cancel now, will I get my full refund. She said yes, but in 5-7 days. I'm not even sure if I will get anything back and I'm scared to take that risk. My order is in the air and nothing can be done. This is crazy. No communication, updates, nothing. I don't know what to do next.
Buyers beware, because this is not a simple or smooth transaction process. I will never ever do this again and I will tell anyone to NOT do this! My experience so far has been extremely bad.
Greentoe's Fishy Request for Work Email - A Blatant Data Grab
Yo, listen up. I gotta tell you about my experience with Greentoe. So, I was trying to buy something from them and they sent me an email asking for my work email to verify my order. I was like, "what the heck?" Why do they need my work email? They said it was because the retailer was having trouble verifying my order, but that didn't make sense to me. Greentoe charges my credit card, not the retailer, so why would the retailer need my work email? It seemed fishy to me.
I did some digging and found out that Greentoe has been using this same email since at least 2019. That's a long time to be asking for people's work emails. And get this, they even say in their FAQ that they don't give the retailer your credit card info, so why would the retailer need to verify anything? It's all on Greentoe's end.
I called them out on it and they sent me some links saying that everyone does it because of fraud. But when I looked at the links, they were for shipping to a different address or a recently changed address. That's not the same thing as asking for someone's work email. It's a blatant data grab, if you ask me.
Now, I know some people don't care about giving away their data, but if you're like me and you're concerned about that kind of thing, then stay away from Greentoe. They're not worth the risk.
Disappointing Experience with Greentoe: Ordered Camera Not in Stock, Poor Customer Service
I've used Greentoe before for my photography equipment needs and have had no problems in the past. However, I recently had a frustrating experience with them. I submitted an offer for a mirrorless camera and it was accepted, but the order still said "pending shipment" days later. I reached out to customer service and was included in a group email with the dealer, but it was up to me to be the "squeaky wheel" to get any updates. After calling the dealer myself, I found out that they didn't have the camera in stock and were awaiting their shipment. I was never informed on the page for the camera that I was submitting an offer on an item that was not in stock. Days later, I called the dealer again and was informed that they had no timeline for when the camera would be in stock. I had to write three emails to Greentoe over the course of two days to start the process of cancelling my order, and during this time, I was not apologized to or given any explanation as to why I was able to order from a dealer who did not have the item in stock. I was offered to switch my deal to a different dealer who had the item in stock for more money, but I chose to take my business elsewhere. Overall, it was a disappointing experience after many positive ones, and I can no longer recommend the company to others.

Disappointing Customer Service and Strict Return Policy: My Experience with Greentoe
I recently purchased a Sony camera from Greentoe, but unfortunately, I did not receive an invoice paper with my order. I tried to contact their customer service team via email a few times, but I never received a response. This made it impossible for me to return the camera since I didn't have a receipt.
Feeling frustrated, I decided to dispute the transaction. Suddenly, the Greentoe team was quick to respond to my emails and provided me with the receipt I had been asking for. I was relieved to finally have proof of purchase, so I asked if I could still return the camera since I was not satisfied with the service and quality.
However, Greentoe informed me that their return policy only allows for returns within 30 days of purchase, and unfortunately, I had passed that deadline. I was extremely disappointed and confused by this response.
Overall, my experience with Greentoe was not great. While I eventually received the receipt I needed, it took a lot of effort on my part to get a response from their customer service team. Additionally, their return policy seems quite strict, which left me feeling frustrated and stuck with a camera I wasn't happy with.
Buyer Beware: My Experience with Greentoe's Missing Offers and Credit Card Security
I tried to buy a TV and warranty coverage from Greentoe and made two offers on two different days. However, when I logged in to check "My Offers" for three consecutive days, I couldn't find any listings. I contacted customer service via email and they suggested that I log out and log back in to refresh the page. But even after doing that, my offers were nowhere to be found. I made the mistake of giving them my credit card information to keep on file "in case my offer was accepted." Now, I have to cancel my credit card and get a new one issued. So, be careful when dealing with Greentoe!
Greentoe Review: Disappointing Experience with Delayed Processing and Poor Customer Service
I gotta say, I ain't too happy with Greentoe. I thought I found a good deal on a Sony OLED 65" TV, so I put in an offer on January 3. Lo and behold, my offer was accepted on January 7! I was stoked, let me tell ya. But now it's been 3 weeks and my account still says my offer is "being processed". What the heck, man?
I've tried reaching out to them through email and phone, but it's like they don't even exist. Ain't nobody answering my calls or responding to my emails. It's like they took my money and ran. I'm starting to think this whole thing is a scam.
I mean, I've seen some positive reviews online, but I'm starting to think those are just fake. Like, maybe Greentoe paid people to write good things about them. I don't know, man. All I know is that I'm out some money and I ain't got no TV to show for it.
So yeah, I wouldn't recommend Greentoe to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

Disappointing Experience with Greentoe: Order Cancelled, Payment Refunded, and No Response from Customer Service
So, I wanted to buy a Samsung washer and I found Greentoe website. I paid with PayPal and waited for almost a month, but I didn't get any updates. It kept showing processing, and I was getting worried. Then, I got an email from PayPal saying that my payment was refunded. But, when I checked the Greentoe website, it showed that my order was shipped. I was confused and frustrated, so I contacted their customer service. They told me that my order was cancelled and asked me to send them a screenshot of my order showing shipped. I did what they asked, but I still didn't get any response from them. It feels like a scam, and I'm really disappointed. I think it's not fair that they earn interest from our payments, and they don't even deliver the products we ordered. It should be illegal!
Greentoe Review: Does the Online Marketplace Really Save You Money?
I recently had an experience with Greentoe, an online marketplace that claims to save you anywhere from 10% to 40% on your purchases. I was in the market for a new lens for my Fuji XT2 camera and had my sights set on the 56mm f/1.2. After doing some research, I found that the lens was priced at $899.99 on most online retailers.
That's when I decided to give Greentoe a try. I was intrigued by the idea of being able to negotiate a lower price for the lens I wanted. After all, who doesn't love a good deal? Greentoe's advertising promised me just that.
I submitted my offer of $851 and waited for a response. After a few rounds of bidding, the best counter offer I received was $879. While this was a savings of about 2.5%, it wasn't quite the 10% to 40% that Greentoe had advertised. Plus, the multiple rounds of bidding were a bit of a hassle.
In the end, I decided to pass on the offer and purchase the lens at its full price. While I appreciate the concept behind Greentoe, it seems that not all products are created equal when it comes to discounts. It appears that TV sets may be more likely to fall into the discounted category, but Fuji lenses do not.
Overall, my experience with Greentoe was just okay. If you know exactly what you want and it's something that typically gets discounted, then you may be able to score a deal. However, if you're looking for a significant discount on a product that doesn't typically go on sale, you may be better off looking elsewhere.
Greentoe Review: Unreliable and Untrustworthy - Avoid at All Costs
I was looking for a bbq grill and came across Greentoe. They had a good price advertised, so I decided to go through the entire process. I gave them my financial information and was obligated to go through with the deal if my "offer" was accepted. In this case, they advertised the price, and I was actually accepting the price they listed. They accepted my "offer," and I was happy.
However, days later, they notified me that they don't actually have the item. I was shocked and disappointed. They told me that if I let them hold onto my $1128.00, they anticipate being able to ship it out in several months! What a scam! I was so angry and frustrated.
I would advise everyone to avoid Greentoe. They are not reliable and trustworthy. They wasted my time and money. I regret ever dealing with them. I hope this review helps others avoid the same mistake I made.
Disappointing Experience with Greentoe and Appliance Connection: A Review
I bought a dishwasher on Black Friday from Greentoe and it was a pretty good deal. But then they sent it to Appliance Connection to ship it to me and I was like, "Oh no, not them again." I've had some bad experiences with Appliance Connection before, so I was worried. But I got an email saying the dishwasher was on its way and would be here by the next Friday.
Well, that didn't happen. Appliance Connection just canceled my order without telling me why. I had to call them to find out what was going on. They said their shipper dropped them or something. I don't know, it sounded fishy to me.
Anyway, I was pretty upset about the whole thing. I mean, I was looking forward to having a new dishwasher and now I had to start all over again. I contacted Greentoe and they said they would take care of it. But then I never heard back from them.
Overall, I'm not too happy with the whole experience. I mean, the dishwasher was a good deal, but the shipping and customer service were a mess. I don't think I'll be using Greentoe again anytime soon.
Poor Service and No Price Match Guarantee from Greentoe for LG Refrigerator Purchase
So, I recently bought a LG Refrigerator from Greentoe for $1900, which included taxes. However, I faced some issues with their service. Firstly, I had selected in-house drop, but the delivery people said that only curbside delivery was covered. When I reached out to Greentoe, they happily blamed it on the seller and initiated communication, but I haven't received any response till date.
To add to my woes, the price of the refrigerator fell down by $180 within a week, thanks to Labor Day. So, I reached out to Greentoe again, asking for a price match. But, they played the "We just felicitate" card and passed the buck to the seller. Even though the seller was selling it for $180 less, there was no response from them.
I am not happy with the way Greentoe handled my issues. I don't like companies that do not stand by their services. I might pay more, but I won't buy from Greentoe again!
Mixed Experience with Greentoe: Issues with Vendor Communication and Credit Card Processing
So, I was looking for a new TV and decided to give Greentoe a try. I found a 65 inch LG TV that I liked and put in an offer. To my surprise, my offer was accepted! I was excited to get my new TV, but then I ran into some issues.
Greentoe sent me a reply in my app telling me that I could click on "more information" to see who the vendor was. But when I clicked on it, there was no vendor information available. I was confused, so I decided to email Greentoe to ask for help.
They replied to my email and told me that the vendor was very busy and it might take up to 48 hours to get a response. I was a little frustrated, but I decided to wait. The next day, Greentoe sent me another email saying that the vendor was having problems processing my credit card and couldn't verify my identity. They said they didn't know what the vendor's difficulty was, but if I sent them my work email, that might help in processing the credit card.
I was a little confused by this, because earlier they had said they didn't know what the problem was. Now they were guessing what might fix it. I replied to their email and told them that I didn't have a work email, but they could call me at the phone number I gave them so we could talk and resolve the issue.
Unfortunately, I haven't heard back from them yet. I'm still waiting for a call or even a follow-up email. It's been a few days now, and I'm starting to feel like this was a waste of time. I'm disappointed that I haven't been able to get my new TV, and I'm not sure if I want to use Greentoe again in the future.
Overall, I think Greentoe has some issues that need to be addressed. It's frustrating to not be able to get in touch with the vendor, and it's even more frustrating when Greentoe doesn't seem to know what's going on. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future.
Greentoe Review: Good Savings, But Be Prepared for Potential Delivery Issues
Greentoe is a pretty good website that can save you a lot of money. I think their system is pretty good, but sometimes things can go wrong. I ordered a TV for $3000 and when it arrived, the screen was broken. I followed the reseller's instructions and sent it back, but then things got tricky. The delivery company didn't know what to do and it took a long time to get my money back. Greentoe doesn't have control over the process once they hand it over to the reseller, so they can't help you if something goes wrong. They also don't have live customer service, so you have to email them if you need help. It took almost a month and a lot of calls and emails to get my money back. If you're willing to take a chance on a trouble-free delivery, Greentoe might be a good choice for you. But if you don't want to risk having your money tied up for a long time, you might want to go to a big store and pay a little more.

lg oled 65 inch
greentoe.com don't answer there phones or chat. they selectively email you depending on if they think they getting your money. they will not tell you where there located after many emails. the emails is only way they will communicate with you. I had 6 hdtvs I was bidding on an they canseled all my tvs after I emailed them an complained to them to not tell the dealers my price im willing to pay. this put up a red flag an I began to investigate them. I lost out on a good deal at buydig superbowl weekend because of it. after reading many reviews from this company. I think some guy out of his basement is calling companies for lower prices. if you have a problem you own your own. the legit companys you buy from will not cover your warranty because you bought through a third party which is greentoe. greentoe will leave you high an dry if the retailers send you a bad tv etc. they will ignore your emails to them if you get bad product. you might receive your goods or you might not but you not going to get a warranty from a authorized dealer like greentoe says. if it sounds too good to be true then it proberly is. I tried to warm people on slickdeals.net but slickdeals.net blocked my email on there sight. they basically covered for greentoe getting over on people with not legit warranties from authorized dealers. greentoe is a scam.
They only take money from me without my permission
Don’t deal with the scammers from the website www. Greentoe.com. I registered on the website and wanted to by some things, but after i offered my price, these jerks started to take this sum from me. They didn’t inform me as well as they ignored my emails. Scam, scam, so be careful if you deal with them and post comments about your experience with them. Really horrible company and someone must stop them.
