Handy: Unreliable Installers and Terrible Customer Service
So, I had a really bad experience with Handy. I needed two garage door openers installed and Lowe's contracted them. My husband took a whole day off work for this and after two hours, only one opener was halfway installed. The installer was struggling with the wiring, belt, and keypad and it seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. He said he only had two hours to install both openers and couldn't finish. My husband suggested they at least finish one, but the installer said it wasn't worth it and left. Lowe's reached out to Handy and they wanted to send the same guy back out, but not until next week. We didn't want to take another day off work for him, so we asked for a refund and found a different company. We paid $300 for a partial install of one opener and the other was left untouched in the box.
The only good thing was that Handy agreed to refund the full amount and not penalize us for their shortcomings. But then, after we found someone else to finish the job, Handy called and said they were sending a new installer out the next morning to finish for free. We cancelled the other guy and then, at 7 pm that night, we got an email saying the install was cancelled because of the refund. The Handy rep knew about the refund before she scheduled it and knew we were cancelling the other contractor, but still cancelled on us. It was the worst customer service I've ever had.
The service was poor and the installers were unknowledgeable. They had no clue who was doing what and couldn't communicate effectively. I wouldn't recommend using this company for anything. Thanks to Handy, we learned a valuable lesson in what company to avoid. I'm going to report them to every regulating office and dashboard I can and I hope Lowe's stops using them altogether.
Handy Review: Unfair Pricing and Poor Customer Support
I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with Handy. I needed a pro to rewire my heater, and they linked me up with a licensed electrician for a 2-hour job that cost me $153. Seems like a fair price, right? Well, turns out the electrician needed to grab some materials, which I was expecting, but they cost $100 alone. And get this, Handy was only paying him $50 for the job! The electrician told me that the job was actually worth about $250 of electrical work alone, and he charged me accordingly. I was surprised, but I agreed to pay it.
But then things got even worse. The electrician disappeared while he was at Home Depot picking up materials, and his number went deactivated. I thought Handy had cancelled him, but he was just as surprised as I was. I contacted support, but all I got were robotic answers that didn't address my concerns. They kept saying that the professionals are paid based on their policy, and since the bookings are prepaid, I didn't need to pay them any additional payment. But I wasn't trying to cancel, I was trying to adjust the payment to make it fair!
It was frustrating that they weren't reading my messages and weren't willing to help me out. And to top it off, they kept saying that they couldn't issue me a refund because I didn't cancel 2 hours before the job. But that wasn't even the issue! I just wanted to adjust the payment!
So, yeah, I wouldn't recommend Handy to anyone. They'll take your money and not provide the service they promised. Unless you have a super simple job that you know how long it will take, I'd be careful about using them. And if you do have a problem, don't expect any help or refunds from them.
Handy Housekeeping Services: Deceptive Practices and Horrible Customer Experience
I've had two experiences with Handy, and both times I was left feeling unsatisfied. The company encourages customers to use their app, and as soon as you schedule an appointment, your credit card is charged. This was a bit concerning to me, as I prefer to pay for services after they have been completed.
After my first appointment, I was offered a discount on my second service as compensation for the bad first appointment. I decided to give them another chance and scheduled a second appointment. Just like the first appointment, I set aside and paid for three hours of time to have someone clean my one bedroom, one bath apartment. The woman who came with a helper was supposed to be there for three hours, but her cell phone never stopped ringing. She didn't even bother to set it to vibrate or turn it off while at work, and she left after only one hour and 15 minutes.
When she informed me that she was done and about to leave, I showed her that the floor had never been swept or mopped. I showed her that the shower was still completely dry and had not been cleaned. I showed her that most of the furniture was only dusted around the items on it, and still, she claimed to be finished. I immediately went online well over one hour before she was supposed to be finished with my place and emailed the company to inform them that not only did she not stay the entire time, but she didn't even clean my place. I insisted that they either send someone else out to do the job right since they already charged my credit card or refund my money.
I received three emails saying that they would give me a 10 percent discount on my next booking, which was not going to happen AGAIN. Afterwards, I received several other emails asking me to book another appointment. The only way I was able to get them to stop emailing me about a stupid 10 percent discount on my next booking was to say that if they email me one more time with that stupidity, I will dispute the entire charge with my credit card company.
I did not get what I paid for in the first place, and again, they were offering me 10 percent off another appointment so that I can pay them again to have someone not clean my home? I informed them in advance that because of their horrible customer service and deceptive guarantee, I was going to write a review and warn people about their deceptive practices. The fact that there is no customer service guarantee as stated all over their entire website, and people should beware of companies (especially Handy housekeeping services) who will charge you in advance for services!
Overall, my experience with Handy was horrible. The service was terrible, and the customer experience was even worse. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Handy Review: Poor Customer Service and Lack of Communication for TV Installation
We decided to give Handy a try for our TV installation needs. We were excited to have a new TV mounted on our wall and Handy seemed like a great option. We were given a date and time for our installation and were assigned a "pro" installer. We communicated with them via text and everything seemed to be going smoothly. However, on the day of our installation, we received a message that the "pro" assigned to us had disconnected their number. We were given another "pro" and their number, but this person had some incorrect information about our property. We assured them that we did not have a doorman and that they could just walk up to our door. They said they were just around the corner and we waited for a couple of hours. We tried to text them several times during this time, but they never responded. We then called them and were instructed to leave a message for "Chosen One". This was strange and we started to wonder if this was all a scam.
We were disappointed that the installer never responded to our texts or explained why they never showed up. However, our real problem was with the customer service department. We were unable to talk to a person and could only email them. We detailed what had happened in an email and an hour later, we were informed of a new installation date without being asked if it was acceptable. Then, we received a text with a different installation date than the email we had just received. We had taken off work for the original installation date and couldn't do so again. We let them know that this was not acceptable and that we needed a phone call to discuss the issue. We received a response apologizing and explaining that they only respond via email, but they would call us if we absolutely needed it. We explained that we definitely wanted them to call us, but they never did. We were frustrated that they already had our money and didn't seem to care about customer service.
After waiting for a while, we informed them that if they couldn't install our TV that day, we wanted a refund. We received no response, so we threatened them with legal action. Thirty minutes later, we were informed that we had been refunded and that it may take a few days to show up in our account. We are currently waiting to see if the refund goes through.
Overall, we would not recommend Handy. The lack of communication and customer service was frustrating and we felt like we were treated poorly. We hope that others will consider our experience before using this company.
Handy: The Worst Cleaning Company - Incompetent, Dishonest, and Dangerous
This company is the absolute worst, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. If I could give them zero stars, I would. They are completely incompetent and dishonest. The cleaners they send are not properly trained and don't know how to clean properly. One cleaner used so much bleach that we all got sick, and she only cleaned a quarter of the house in three hours. She even asked for my number so she could work for me privately and make more money. Another cleaner showed up last week without us even knowing that Handy had changed the cleaner and the date. We were notified three hours after the cleaner supposedly turned up. She didn't even try to access the property by trying the door or going to the concierge. Instead, she just sat in the park across the road for 30 minutes. All I got was a message from her saying "I am here" on the app, which arrived three hours later than she claimed to have been there.
I have asked numerous times for a Handy supervisor to call me, but they don't have a number, and they don't answer emails for about 8-48 hours. The CEO reads emails multiple times but doesn't bother to respond. You can find his contact details online. They make arrangements to call and then don't bother to call. I just got a random call at past 8 pm, and one guy claimed he got the time difference wrong. I blocked out my calendar for this and lost a lot of income for the times we arranged calls that they did not bother to turn up for. Someone turned up today even though I had requested that all be suspended and canceled until the issue of me being charged for a cleaner who sat in the park was resolved. I have asked for the process to be canceled, but they have a guarantee which they are choosing to ignore. I am unhappy with everything about this company. The cleaner today broke a vase and left glass in the cats' food bowl. We are now monitoring them for adverse events in case we need to call an emergency vet. We are absolutely horrified.
This truly is the worst company I have ever had experience with, and I would urge anyone thinking of using them not to ever do that. They will take money from your card without authorization, and they will not respond. They will send people who don't even want to clean, but are personal trainers or have other jobs, think cleaning is beneath them, and are just trying to make a bit of extra money. Or they will send people who are pushy about wanting to contact you directly. They think it's okay to send different people every time, which is not okay in a building with security where we need the full name and details of everyone who is given keys to use. They think it's okay to notify you that someone is coming three hours after they have apparently turned up to sit in the park and do nothing.
I am still waiting for a call from a Handy supervisor. This company is a complete disaster, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Unleashing the Power of Creativity: A Review of 'The War of Art' by Steven Pressfield
I would give this company a zero if I could. I was having a dinner party, my cleaner cancelled at the last minute, so I found Handy online. The woman they sent to clean was literally the worst cleaner I've ever had in my life! Not only could she not clean, she was stupid. She could not even follow a simple instruction to remove her car, which she parked across the entrance of our neighbor's driveway. Why would anyone do that? Not even our driveway, our neighbor's! My husband asked her to pull her car into our driveway on the right-hand side of the garage because my car was parked on the left-hand side inside the garage, and i needed to leave and run an errand. I go to leave and found that she had only moved her car, and now it was parked across the entrance to our driveway. I couldn't get out, and had to go ask her to move it again. Just one of the stupid, stupid things she did, not to mention she was lousy at cleaning and had to be asked to reclean almost everywhere she went. Even then, things were still not done. She spent in total nearly an hour in the bathroom, and not cleaning either, if you get my drift. Who does that?
I had to clean behind her everywhere before my company came, and when the company sent a survey later I rated her personally ONE STAR, and every room in the house that she cleaned I rated ONE STAR.
Never heard a word from anyone. Then a month later, I come home on a Saturday afternoon, and a guy's sitting in my driveway saying they sent him to clean for me! What? Apparently I thought I was hiring them for a last minute fill in, but they signed me up for a 12-month contract. They charged us $119. I sent the guy away, and because it's impossible to reach a live person via the phone no matter what you do, I sent them a scathing email reminding them how terrible my first experience was, and stressing the fact that they didn't even care enough about me as a customer to reach out after I expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the job that was done and offer to make it right, redo it, credit towards a future cleaning - NOTHING! NOT ONE WORD, and then they have the nerve to send someone to my house again?! Are you kidding me?
I was extremely upset, asked (in writing, of course) for an immediate refund and cancel whatever, AND CAN I PLEASE GET A CALL FROM A REAL LIVE PERSON TO MAKE SURE THIS IS CLEARED UP.
STILL NO PHONE CALL. They emailed me back saying they had credited my account 50% of the $119 charge towards a future cleaning. Again, are you kidding me? I still can't get a call from a live person. Why would I ever use your service again? Not wanting to engage in the nonsense anymore, my husband just disputed the $119 charge with our credit card company and got it reversed.
Now I've gotten a text again saying they're sending someone on Saturday to clean. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO GET AWAY FROM THESE LOUSY PEOPLE. I've written them saying if they send someone out here, if they charge our credit card again, I'm calling the Attorney General. Maybe someone in that office can get to speak to a real live person at this lousy company.
RUN AWAY!
Handy Professional Assembly Review: Unreliable and Poor Communication
I recently purchased a gazebo from Waygair and decided to go for the professional assembly offered by Handy for a whopping $579.00. Although it was expensive, I thought it was worth it to avoid the hassle of putting it together myself. The delivery was great and we were scheduled for a date for assembly through Handy. The scheduled time was 8:00 am and one guy showed up right on time (good start). However, around 8:30 am, the second person (a two-person job for sure due to weight and size) had not shown up. The guy knocked on my door and said he would notify Handy of this and left. This was fine. I could see a message come through that he did this.
I got on the online chat to see what was going on (they have no phone number and no way to contact anyone other than this). They apologized and promptly rescheduled for the following week. At this point, I know things happen and I was not too upset. Around 11:00 am that same day, the second guy shows up. I explained the situation and he left. The day of our second appointment (scheduled for 9:00 am) - It was about 9:30 am and no one had shown yet. Around 8:45 am, I did see a car which looked like one of the guys set to do the assembly. You get an email with a pic of your "pros" doing the work. This guy though parked across the street and then left. By this time, I was contacting Handy and they gave us a number to call. We called and the guy said he was double-booked and that he would not be there to do our job. Ok. So then I get back on the online chat and asked for a phone number to call Handy. They will not give you one and said they will put me in line to be called back.
After waiting another half an hour, I got online and just asked to again be rescheduled. This guy on the line stated that the GPS tracker was showing both guys were at my house. He kept telling me this. I said I have NO ONE at my house and would be happy to send a video or pictures. No cars on my street and no one in my driveway. They are not around. I can conclude that the guy who was around in the morning was the person and was dinged to my house (not sure why he would do that), but anyway after arguing with this guy to please just reschedule me he finally did. Stated he would send me a gift card (which was never received). Oh, and guess what - a few minutes after rescheduling, the second guy listed on the booking showed up. Again explained the situation. Clearly, no communication to these people as well. Really a shame.
So third time was a charm, as both guys did finally show up. Everything went fine, they seemed to have done a good job with assembly (this is the reason I gave it two stars). It is for the most part not the "pros" as they call them fault. They seem to have little communication between if booking a multiple person job. One shows, the other doesn't. And Handy was kind of accusatory the second time around when they were telling me they were there and really not helpful at the end of the day. They will just keep rebooking you over and over again. I am sure if I would have had the 3rd experience first my feeling would be different. These people are independent contractors so if you are lucky and get someone who will show and knows what they are doing it will go well, but that is the chance you take. And the service is pricey, which I wouldn't have minded so much if they did not waste so much of your time. People are taking off work and rearranging things only to be canceled and canceled again.
For this reason, I will not be using Handy ever again and would not recommend them. I am sure more reliable companies and people exist.
Handy Review: Great First Experience, Terrible Second Experience - Unprofessional and Inconsiderate Rescheduling
My first experience with Handy was great! The pro was prompt, professional, quick, and knowledgeable. They assembled my bed with storage drawers underneath perfectly. However, my second experience was not so great. I scheduled an appointment to have a TV stand and a bar table assembled on a Friday evening at 6:30 pm. But, the pro assigned to my job was changed about three times before the final person took the job. I left work early to be there for the appointment, but I received a notice a few minutes past 6 pm that the pro was running 15 minutes late. I was okay with that, but a few more minutes passed, and at about 6:15 pm, I received another notice stating that due to a last-minute pro call out, I had to be rescheduled to Monday at 6:30 pm. I was livid because this was only told to me minutes before the arrival, and I only received that notice via text and a generated email saying, "We apologize and basically, sorry for wasting your time, but you're rescheduled." That was it! I was so upset that I emailed them back, notifying them that it was pretty inconsiderate, unprofessional, and unacceptable. But, I was okay with the new time solely because I was then scheduled with the pro I worked with previously, and I much preferred to work with him again. I received a pretty quick response and a small attempt to compensate towards my next service.
Fast forward to Monday, the day I was rescheduled for. So all weekend until Monday morning, I was still scheduled with the pro I preferred. I went to the app Monday morning to reach out to the pro to ask if he'd prefer to start a bit earlier at 6 pm, then that is fine with me. But, low and behold, I was switched to yet another pro! I still proceeded to reach out to the last pro to explain all of this to him and to ask if there was a way that we could work it out for him to work with me on this job. He responded and said that should work, try to send a request. I attempted to do so, but it seems as if maybe when scheduling, there is a window, or maybe you cannot do same-day bookings, something like that because I was being given an error stating that the date was too soon. I let the pro know that I was having the issue. Then I proceeded to email Handy to ask for this to be adjusted and that myself and the pro agreed. I reached out again to let the pro know that I was sending an email as well. They took a while and another email later, but they did respond and get the situation squared away and had me assigned to the pro I was interested in and had previously worked with, once again. They stated in the email that it was set and they have proof that myself and the pro both agreed to this assignment. This was around 3 pm at this point. I reached out to the pro again, informed him of this set up, and reiterated that if he preferred earlier, I am fine with that.
So finally content, I geared up to leave work early to be home. I never received any more responses from the pro, and the messages said delivered but not read, so I assumed he was busy at work. I received alerts, your job is starting soon, etc. 6 pm comes, and I get a familiar alert. Due to a last-minute pro call out, we are unable to find a new person for this job, and you have been rescheduled for tomorrow! I am completely on fire at this point. I look at the chat, and the messages to the pro were now showing read. So why let me go through all of that getting it set up to have you assigned to my task and, knowing what I had just gone through previously, to then cancel on me last minute and not even reach out to at least say, "I apologize, but I am unable to do this job today." Something! Of course, I received another generic email as well, basically stating, "Sorry for wasting your time again, but you've been rescheduled." I sent another email back, and now the next morning, I still have yet to receive a response. Initially, no pros picked up my task when I was rescheduled, but soon after, another pro did. At this point, it's still the same person, but going forward with the day, who knows how this will turn out, and if this will even take place this evening without yet another cancellation.
I really liked Handy at first, but after this experience, NEVER AGAIN! This was completely ridiculous for a service that I have paid for and adjusted my time and work schedule to make sure it worked out, only to be disregarded repeatedly by these people.
Handy: Exploitative Company with Unsafe Workers and Unhelpful Customer Service
This company is absolutely horrific! I have used Handy on and off for years and have never had any issues until my recent experience. I hired a new maid for a deep cleaning and paid $145 for four hours of cleaning, including the inside of my fridge and oven. However, after only one hour, the maid claimed she was finished and had not even touched the fridge. When I asked her about it, she became angry and started screaming about how she was only getting paid $15 for the job. I was shocked and upset to learn that Handy was exploiting its workers and keeping most of the money for themselves.
To make matters worse, the maid then started cursing and getting in my face, causing me to feel unsafe in my own home. As a doctor, I was able to remain calm and diffuse the situation, but it was still a terrifying experience. The maid eventually stormed out of my apartment, cursing and screaming in the hallway. She even poured bleach and ajax all over my front door, causing damage.
When I contacted Handy about the incident, they were completely unhelpful and refused to take any responsibility. They ignored the harassment and deleted the messages the maid had sent me after she left. They also gave me grief about reimbursing me for my broken ceramic flower pot, and instead of giving me their usual property damage release form, they tried to sneak a 7-page NDA on me. This was absolutely unacceptable and unlawful. They were effectively trying to pay me off and shut me up without informing me of it.
I cannot recommend that anyone use Handy. They underpay their workers and exploit them, which can lead to dangerous situations like the one I experienced. They also do not hold themselves accountable for their actions and try to sneakily silence their customers with NDAs. If you need a maid, I suggest using care.com or other sites to book maids directly. Do not use this third-party service that does not vet its workers and puts them in harm's way.
Handy Review: Low Price, Unprofessional Service, and Terrible Customer Service
Handy is a company that offers cleaning services at a very low price. However, there are some issues that come with this low price. The company is very unprofessional and unorganized. They do not seem to have their act together at all. However, there are some good things about the company. For example, Melissa, my cleaner, is wonderful. She is the best cleaner I have ever had. However, the other cleaners I have worked with were just okay. They were not professionally trained and it showed. They were just individuals looking to make some extra money.
One of the biggest problems with Handy is their customer service. It is terrible. They do not communicate with each other and it seems like the blind is leading the blind. I had an issue with my cleaning appointment and Handy offered to reschedule it for me. However, the replacement cleaner they sent was new to the company and had no experience or reviews. I knew she would not show up and she did not. I emailed Handy to let them know and they offered me a $10 credit to my weekly payment. This was not helpful at all. I just wanted my house cleaned.
The customer service reps I spoke to were not helpful at all. They did not read previous emails and did not offer solutions to my problems. They just kept sending me generic responses. They even charged my card for services they failed to charge me for from March. This left my account in the negative and I had to pay an overdraft fee. When I asked them about this, they just gave me another generic response.
Another issue with Handy is that they do not provide their cleaners with company cleaning supplies. The cleaners have to purchase their own products. This can be a problem if they forget or do not have something that needs to be cleaned in your house.
Finally, when you sign up for Handy, you are signing up for a 6-month contract. If you want to cancel, there is an additional $90 fee. This is something that is not made clear when you sign up.
In conclusion, I would not recommend Handy. While the price is low, the service is terrible. The customer service is unhelpful and the cleaners are not professionally trained. It is better to pay a little extra for a professional cleaning service.

Handy's Lack of Communication and Poor Management Skills: A Frustrating Experience
I recently had an experience with Handy that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had ordered a power lift recliner from Wayfair on July 31st, but realized shortly after that I had forgotten to include unpacking, assembly, and setup service. I contacted Wayfair on August 2nd to have them add it to the order, and they in turn contacted Handy to book the service. The delivery date was set for August 9th, which was coming up quickly.
However, as the delivery date approached, I still hadn't heard anything from Handy or Wayfair about the service. I contacted Wayfair again, and they told me that they had sent a request to Handy but had received no response. They sent the request again and gave me an email and contact number to try to get in touch with Handy myself. Wayfair also moved the delivery date up to August 6th.
Despite my efforts to contact Handy, I still hadn't heard anything from them by the time the chair was delivered to my driveway on August 6th. I had to move it out of the rain and wait for Handy to send someone out to set it up. Finally, on August 9th, Handy scheduled the booking and sent out one person, Julian, to do the job.
Julian was great, but he had no handtruck to help him move the 107 lb chair up the stairs to where it needed to be set up. He managed to do it using my handtruck and sheer strength, but he told me that this was not unusual for Handy. I was grateful to Julian for getting the job done, but I was left feeling frustrated with Handy's lack of communication and poor management and scheduling skills.
Overall, I would not recommend booking with Handy based on my experience. While Julian was able to get the job done, the process leading up to it was a nightmare due to Handy's lack of communication and poor organization. If you're looking for a reliable service, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
Handy's Terrible Customer Service and Dishonesty - A Warning
I gotta say, I'm not too impressed with Handy. I hired one of their pros to install a massage chair for my customer, and within hours of the install, the footrest fell off. Not a great start, right? So I reached out to their customer service, and they offered me a $20 credit for my next booking. Okay, fine, but when I clicked on the link they sent me, it took me to the booking page where I would have to pay again. What gives? I was confused, so I emailed them back asking why I would have to pay again. No response. Normally they're pretty responsive, but not this time.
I sent them a few more emails, but still no response. It's like they're good until there's a problem. Their website says they'll send another pro to make it right if you're not happy with a job, but that doesn't seem to be the case for me. I even asked them to send the same guy back to fix the problem, but they didn't do that either. It's just exhausting working with them. Their customer service is terrible.
Update: I finally got a response from them, and they said they're going to refund me $20. Why only $20 when I paid $79 for a job that was badly done? This company is a joke.
Another update: Now they're telling me I need to file a claim and provide proof of ownership, value of the item, and the damage. This happened yesterday. Shouldn't they have some kind of record showing I booked a service with them? I even sent them a photo of the damage. All I want is a full refund on the booking, but they'd rather put me through this painful process to discourage me. I had to hire someone from HOMEADVISOR to fix the problem, and that cost me $93. Beware of this company. They're very dishonest. I don't know how they're still in business.
Mixed Experience with Handy: Great Work, Uncomfortable Situation, and Messy Cleanup
They came early after a phone call asking if that was okay, which I appreciated because a 12-8 window is crazy when people have lives. The guy that installed my bed arrived, he was nice enough and he was hard working, and he did a very nice job with the install. I was very pleased with his work. The stars on my review are a direct reflection not of the person who did the install. There was another guy that showed up about 15 mins after the first guy arrived with a clip board and said he was with Handy, which was confusing and I told him at first he was double booked because the guy was already in my house working. He explained to me he was there to kinda oversee the job, so I let him in and he handed me a piece of paper to fill out. Then started asking me all kinds of personal questions, which made me feel super kuncomfortable. As I floated around my house doing my daily chores he just kinda sat around my house and it was bizarre. He wasn't helping the other guy and wasn't even in the room helping him - it felt off. Thankfully, The contractors who are working in my backyard showed up and then he left so I was like thank God. He ended up coming back towards the end of the job and again just milled around my house. He did end up helping the other guy at the very very last five minutes. But it was awkward for me at that point- I saw no reason for his presence here. Lastly, when they left, they left a huge mess on my carpets, like those little annoying styrofoam balls everywhere. I had to vacuum the room that they worked in and the leading hallway. I paid $190 for this service. Every other contractor that's ever been in my house for various reasons fully clean up after like they were never here. It was disappointing. I won't use them again.
I was really excited to use Handy because I had heard so many great things about them. I was looking forward to having my bed installed and finally getting a good night's sleep. The guy who came to install my bed was really nice and hardworking. He did a great job with the installation and I was really pleased with his work. However, my experience with Handy was not all positive.
Another guy showed up about 15 minutes after the first guy arrived. He said he was with Handy and was there to oversee the job. I was confused because the first guy was already in my house working. The second guy handed me a piece of paper to fill out and then started asking me all kinds of personal questions. I felt really uncomfortable and didn't understand why he was asking me these things. He just sat around my house and didn't help the other guy. It was really strange and made me feel uneasy.
Thankfully, the contractors who were working in my backyard showed up and the second guy left. He came back towards the end of the job and just milled around my house again. He didn't help the other guy until the very last five minutes. It was really awkward and I didn't see any reason for his presence there.
When they left, they left a huge mess on my carpets. There were little styrofoam balls everywhere and I had to vacuum the room they worked in and the leading hallway. I paid $190 for this service and was disappointed that they didn't clean up after themselves like other contractors have done in the past.
Overall, I was pleased with the work that was done, but my experience with Handy was not all positive. I don't think I will use them again because of the uncomfortable situation with the second guy and the mess they left behind.

Beware of Handy: A Small Business Owner's Experience with Deception and Lies
I recently had an experience with Handy, and let me tell you, it was not a good one. As a small business owner in the plumbing repair industry, I received a text from someone named Robbie who claimed to have a friend in need of a tankless water heater replacement. He asked for an estimate on labor costs only, and we agreed to meet at the home to take a look. However, when I arrived, I quickly realized that it was not a tankless unit that needed replacing. I explained the options to the homeowner, who I thought was Robbie's tenant at the time, and we settled on a regular 50 gallon water heater.
Later that Friday, Robbie, who turned out to be a Handy.com representative, still insisted on a tankless estimate. I had no idea he worked for Handy at this point and thought he was just a friend of the homeowner. It wasn't until Sunday evening that I found out the truth. In the past, I had dealt with Handy before, where I had to threaten to remove my $2700 water heater install to be paid. When I called Robbie out on his deception, he claimed that Handy had gone through major management changes and that they couldn't get any plumbers to accept jobs from them. He promised me half the payment up front by 9am Monday morning, but when that time came and went with no payment, I called him out on his lies. He threatened to tear up my contract, even though he was the one who had lied from the start.
Later in the day, I tried to contact upper management at Handy, but it was impossible to get through. This company is nothing but a bunch of liars and scammers, and I urge anyone considering using their services to beware. It's clear that they have no respect for their contractors and will do whatever it takes to get what they want. As a small business owner, I cannot afford to waste my time with companies like this, and I hope that others will take my experience into consideration before working with Handy.
Disappointing Experience with Handy Cleaning Service: A Review
I gotta say, I was pretty bummed out with the clean service I got from Handy yesterday. It was my first time using their service and I was really hoping for a top-notch experience. I decided to go for the 3 month plan because I wanted to take the hassle out of cleaning and I trusted that Handy would take care of everything. Unfortunately, my experience with the pro Charney left a lot to be desired and I ended up cancelling my plan. They charged me $99 for the early cancellation, which was a bummer, but what really got me was that they didn't deliver the cleaning service that they promised.
I mean, come on. The kitchen floor and counters were still dirty after Charney left. And don't even get me started on the furniture surfaces. I attached some pictures so you can see for yourself. What gives?
Here's what happened. Charney was doing a pretty good job in the bathroom while I was home, but I had to leave for an appointment. When I got back, all she had done was the dishes and vacuumed the carpet (which wasn't even done very well, if I'm being honest). The kitchen was still a mess and the furniture was still dusty. I feel like I got taken advantage of, you know? Like maybe Charney saw the tip I left on the table and just rushed out after I left.
Look, I'm hiring someone to clean my place because I want to be able to make my appointments. I don't want to have to supervise them to make sure they're doing their job properly. I need a pro who's going to do a good job, plain and simple.
What really grinds my gears is that Handy keeps saying that it's their policy not to refund the early cancellation fee, but they conveniently forget to mention that it's also their policy to deliver a complete cleaning service. Which, by the way, they didn't do. And to top it all off, they don't even have a phone number you can call to talk to customer service. Everything has to be done through email. What a pain.
After a lot of back and forth with emails, they finally agreed to give me a free cleaning service for my next visit. But honestly, I don't think I'll be using their service again. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable cleaning service provider.
Stay Away from Handy: Terrible Customer Service and No Accountability
I want to share my experience with Handy, and I must say it was not a good one. I had been using their services for about a year and had pretty good results until one day, one of their housekeepers stole my wife's $2,500 wedding band. I was devastated, but I kept my cool and contacted Handy to report the theft. Initially, they were helpful, and they told me that the housekeeper had been terminated. They also provided me with details about how to file a claim, and everything seemed normal.
However, things took a turn for the worse when I requested that Handy cover my loss, which they initially said they would do via email. They went completely dark and refused to even reply to me. I had to file a police report, which was very painful and time-consuming because of COVID, and then I completed all the required claim forms provided by Handy. Despite all my efforts, they ignored my emails, and I couldn't even get the courtesy of a reply. I have emailed their customer care team and claims team COUNTLESS TIMES, and I cannot even get the courtesy of a reply. It has become clear that their strategy, which is a truly shameful and disgusting approach, is to just ignore you and hope you go away. Note that they HAVE NO PHONE NUMBER for you to call, so you are at the mercy of their terrible email support, which is nothing but a black hole. They claim to aspire to respond in hours, but I assure you they do not. This is all a lie.
In my opinion, this is a company that has no morals. They DO NOT CARE about their customers, and they are a shameful and greedy company that shirks responsibility to save a few bucks. I would advise anyone to STAY AWAY FROM HANDY. They have terrible housekeepers that steal, and they will not help their customers when they experience a loss. My experience with Handy was awful, stressful, and terrible, and I would not recommend them to anyone.
Handy Cleaning Services: A Shady Business Practice and Lack of Transparency
I recently tried out Handy for cleaning services after having a positive experience with their handling of a missed appointment for furniture building. I decided to sign up for their cleaning services and opted for a 6-month plan for $125. I was pleased to see that the longer the period of time you sign up for, the lower the price becomes. However, after my second visit, I was surprised to see that I was charged $146.17. When I reached out to customer service to inquire about the discrepancy, I was informed that it was due to a credit on my account. While I appreciated the credit, I was not willing to pay $146 for only 2 hours of cleaning.
To my surprise, I was informed that I was actually paying by the hour, which was not explained to me when I signed up through the app. This meant that I had paid for 8 hours of cleaning, but only 4 had taken place. I requested a refund for the hours not worked, but was informed that they have a minimum of 3 hours. The customer service representative suggested that I select some "add on" services to round out the time, but I still wanted a refund for the 2 hours that were not worked. I also requested that my future bookings be made for 3 hours.
Unfortunately, my experience with customer service was not great. I had to interact with 5 different representatives, and it seemed like none of them took the time to read through the previous correspondence. One representative, Alexa, was able to solve the problem, but her work was undone by her incompetent co-workers. Eventually, my time was extended to 4.5 hours, but no refund was issued, which only made the problem worse.
I was then told to talk to the cleaning professional about add ons after they finished the 2-hour cleaning, which seemed like a shady business practice to me. I don't like being misled, and I don't appreciate shady business practices. While they eventually refunded my money, they still charged me a cancellation fee, even though they had wasted so much of my time. I was also informed that since my booking was in the future, they couldn't change it, so I would have to reach out to them to adjust the price for the rest of my bookings.
Overall, my experience with Handy was not great. While I appreciated their handling of the missed appointment for furniture building, their cleaning services left a lot to be desired. The lack of transparency about their pricing structure and the shady business practices left a bad taste in my mouth. I would not recommend using Handy for cleaning services.
Handy Cleaning Service Review: Poor Service and Frustrating Customer Support
I signed up for Handy for six months and was excited to have a cleaning service to help me keep my house tidy. However, my first experience with Handy was not a good one. The person who came to clean my house admitted that he had never cleaned a house before, which was concerning. He forgot to clean an entire bathroom, dumped his dirty mop water in my sink, and left another toilet untouched. I had to go behind him and clean a lot of things myself. I contacted Handy to let them know about my bad experience, and they gave me half my money back as a credit to use towards my next visit.
Despite my bad experience, I decided to give Handy another chance. Unfortunately, my second experience was even worse than the first. The person who came to clean my house did not clean any of my four toilets properly. He only cleaned the seats and left the bottoms dirty. He also did not vacuum any of my floors and only swept them. My shower still had hair in the drain and soap scum on the glass door, and there was mold and soap scum in the corners. My garden tub still had a ring around it, so it was not touched. It was as if no one had even come to my house. I contacted Handy again, and they offered me the same deal of half off my next visit. This was unacceptable to me, and I asked them to send someone back out to make it right or to give me a full refund so I could hire someone else to do the job correctly.
Unfortunately, Handy has not contacted me back, and I have not been able to talk to anyone on the phone. I just want to cancel my plan and get a refund, but Handy has a $90 cancellation fee, which is ridiculous since I did not receive good service on either of my visits. I had a third job scheduled, but I had to cancel it due to Covid. I have a credit for that job waiting to be used, but I do not want to use it. I just want to cancel my plan, but there is no way to do so because there is no one to talk to on the phone.
Overall, my experience with Handy has been very frustrating. The cleaning service was not up to par, and the customer service has been lacking. I do not recommend using Handy, as it is impossible to get out of and if you have a problem with the work that's done, there's no one to contact to fix it other than to give you some portion of your money back, which is unacceptable when the job is not done at all!
Handy House Cleaning Service Review: Not Worth the Hassle and Frustration
I gotta say, I'm not too impressed with Handy. I shelled out a whopping $180 for a house cleaning service and boy, was I let down. The first person they sent never even bothered to show up, and when I tried to contact her, she was all over the place, talking about being robbed by the company and accusing me of reporting her for not showing up (which I didn't, by the way).
The second person they sent cancelled on me just 20 minutes before the appointment was supposed to start. I was starting to get pretty frustrated at this point, so I contacted Handy and asked for a refund and to cancel my 6-month commitment. They did give me a credit of $10 for each no-show, but then they had the nerve to tell me that they were going to charge me $99 for cancelling early. Like, what? You guys aren't even fulfilling your own agreement and you want to charge me for it?
So, I decided to give them one more chance and scheduled a third appointment. And guess what? They were 9 hours late to the appointment. I mean, come on. At this point, I was beyond fed up. I contacted Handy again and they had the audacity to suggest that I switch to a monthly plan. Uh, hello? I'm already on a monthly plan. I just want to cancel it altogether.
Long story short, I basically paid $180 for nothing. I either have to keep paying them for the next 5 months so that I can clean my own house, or they're going to charge me $99 to cancel the plan. It's ridiculous. And to top it all off, the third person they sent finally showed up, but she was a mess. She showed up hours late, only partially cleaned my kitchen and guest bathroom, and never even touched the rest of the house. She even ate some of her own food before she started cleaning, and locked herself in my bathroom for who knows how long. And to add insult to injury, she sat on my living room floor and cried about not having enough gas. My husband had to put some gas in her car just so she could leave.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Handy to anyone. It's just not worth the hassle and frustration.
Beware of Handy: A Complete Scam for Household Chores
Handy is a service that claims to help you with your household chores, but in reality, it is a complete scam. They will set up your appointment for you, without your consent, and then charge you exorbitant fees for services that were never rendered. They will cancel your appointments repeatedly, and then charge you daily for the privilege of not showing up.
If by some chance you do receive a text from a housekeeper, it will be from a temporary number with no name or identifying information. They will not introduce themselves or call you, and you will have no way of contacting them. If you do manage to get in touch with them, they will not be at your house, and it is likely that they are just trying to see if you are home for nefarious purposes.
The whole thing is a scam designed to overcharge you for missed appointments. They will claim that someone came to your house, but in reality, no one ever showed up. They will cancel your service after charging you more than the agreed-upon price multiple times in one week, and then try to get you to review their service as a way of covering up their fraudulent activities.
If you try to cancel your service, they will send you a text two minutes before your appointment time, claiming that someone is coming to your house. The supposed housekeeper will text you from a temporary number, and when you ask who they are and where they are, they will not respond.
In short, Handy is a complete scam, and you should avoid them at all costs. They will try to steal your money and your personal information, and they will stop at nothing to do so. Do not fall for their bogus emails or fake computer notes, and do not give them any of your personal information. Stay safe and stay away from Handy.
Scam
Yesterday, I was on the phone for almost 3 hours trying to find out when someone was coming to my house. Every single person I talked to on the phone and online chat couldn’t find my order, was extremely rude, was condescending, refused to help, kept passing me to several other people. Then, as soon as I was on the phone with the company that I place my original order with to cancel my handy service, I received an email with an appointment. NO THANK YOU! After the hell this company put me through, I will never give my business to you and everyone is being made aware of everything! I am not the only person that has been treated this way by handy and I won’t be the last, sadly. However, I will make sure those I know will never go through this.
Desired outcome: For the company to close down
Services not rendered
On April 14th, I bought an electric bicycle with a $49.00 fee from Handy to be put together on April 19th at 9:30 A.M.. The Tech text me at 8:56 A.M. saying that I have to reschedule because of the rain when it's not even raining outside. DO NOT USE HANDY FOR THEIR POOR SERVICE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE! They get an F for failure from me. My time is valuable and whenever I put a day for them, they need to deliver their word.

I just want to say that Handy is a TERRIBLE COMPANY. They are so beyond unreliable it's ridiculous. They scheduled me for a time and date, that they agreed that they can do. They then text me 3 hrs prior to my 9 am appointment and tell me they can't make it. I contact them and was able to reschedule the appointment. They confirmed in an email it was going to be set for the following day at 9 am. Later that day, I received a voicemail from on of their reps saying they can't make it. I called the Costco handy unit and the representative agreed that it was still active and advised that they are still going to come and show up. Following that conversation, the original representative who called me and left me a vm calls me back. He tells me again that they cant come. I then tell him that if he can't make the appointment, then I will be using another company. He then says it's okay they can do it for tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and I receive another text 3 hrs prior saying they can't come. I have requested a refund from Costco. You guys should consider using a better company than this one

Very uncomfortable to use them.
As a very busy person, I have no time for cleaning my house that's why I use their service. I have no time nor opportunity to look for a different service and being extremely disappointed continue using them. Even though there're probably other alternatives in my town, I have no idea, to be honest.
Their biggest problem is that they notify you about their visit one hour before. I often forget about this schedule and never keep it in mind, so if they started reminding me of it at least a couple of days before their visit it would be great.
Avoid at all costs!
I wanted to rent an apartment but I was to busy and did not have time to clean it myself so I went online and found Handy. They seemed trustworthy so I decided to hire them. I booked a cleaning and on the estimated date no one showed up!
I contacted Handy and they said that my booking was cancelled, they did not explain anything. They never bothered to contact me and tell! Terrible! But that's not the end of the story.
Recently they charged me twice for who knows what and no matter how hard I try they refuse to refund my money and claim they did not charge me! These people are real thieves, they did not keep their promises and they stole my money.
It is written on their website 100% money back guarantee but that is a lie! Avoid doing business with this criminal organisation!
You cannot avoid your assignments by procrastinating it, instead you should consult an experts who know that how to tackle any kind of assignment with full dedication by providing you with a quality Criminology Assignment Help.
Trying to talk to them then replies with the same message. Also liars and think it's funny playing with people's money.
