interest on fixed deposit
Sir,
I have a major complaint about hdfc bank limited. I am an nri and I had a fixed deposit for rs.1, 00, 000.00 and the maturity date is today (Tuesday, 27th july 2010). Since I had an emergency, the sme was liquidated on 21st july 2010 (Just before 7 days of the maturity date). Now the bank says, they will not pay me the interest on my fixed depsit due to early liquidation of my fixed deposit. Their representative mr. Rajesh totalia had told me over phone that if the fixed deposit amount is below rs.15, 00, 000 / - and apply for early liquidation, they have no provision to pay interest. It means the customer has no right to demand interest on his fixed deposit and he has to bear a loss for his mistake by choosing hdfc bank a deposit?. I would like to seek your kind opinion as to how I will be able to get the interest on my fixed deposit, till the date of its liquidity (21st july 2010).
The interest offered is 3.35% per annum, as per their original fdr available with me.

I had taken this housing loan from HDFC Limited in June 2007. The loan was floating rate loan at Banks PLR (14%) minus 3%. So, it was 11% at the time loan was taken. Recently I read in the news that HDFC has cut the rates on floating housing loans by 0.50%. I contacted the manager of HDFC Ahmedabad Branch, where I have this loan. What the Manager told me totally shocked me. He said the PLR has not been reduced, but for all the new loans taken after 23/9/2007, HDFC is now charging Banks PLR minus 3.50%. So, keeping the PLR same, while reducing the spread. This is total eye-wash and an attempt not to pass on the rate cut to existing floating rate loanholders. There should be no difference in the default risk of new and existing customers, so the spread (3%) below PLR should be same for all. It is the PLR which should be cut.
multiplication of late fee regarding
A bill for the month to be paid on 31.3.2010 is deposited in Motibagh, Delhi ATM on 29.3.2010 The next statement came on 31.5.10 withrs 1985 rupees due that includes rs 350 as penalty.I paid that bill excluding penalty as I paid previous bill in time.another bill came on 1.7.10 of Rs.521/-Another bill on 31.7.10 of Rs.928/-During these I was away from India and not used the card at all.So kindly revert the penalties (late fees) so that I can safely reuse the cridit card.
ecs of rs.300 start without my knowledge

I had lost my debit card for my salary account no. [protected] on nay 23rdmay, '10.I had gone to my
branch on 24th may & filled an application for a new card. I got my new card on 2nd june but the pin no. which came on 4th june mentioned credit card pin. i went again to the branch in Khan Market & showed them that i have receieved the wrong pin so i was made to fill a form again for the new pin which i was assured will come in 1 week to the branch. I have been following up regularly since 2oth June & everytime i call up the branch people would tell me that they would check the cause of delay & call to inform me about the delay.But till date i have not received a single call from the branch informing me about the status of the pin, After i got no response from the branch
i called the phone banking yesterday (25th june) to be told that the application for the pin has reached them only on 24th june, exactly 1 month after i had applied for my new card & again i will have to wait for 1 week to get my pin which means both for the months of june & july i would not be able to check the salary on the 1st.
This is totally unacceptable & really shows a callous
attitude towards your cutomers.I dont know where the
mistake has happened but i want an explaination to why i received the wrong pin in the 1st time & why it
has taken the bank 1 month to deliver the right one to me.

cancellation of auto loan

My auto loan a/c no is [protected], which was disbursed on 28th march 2010, and due to some probleme, I cancelled the loan on on 9/4/2010, and also paid rs 1000/- as cancellation charge and interest of rs. 1630/- as required by the officer at hdfc walk in branch, swastik chamber, mumbai.
I got assurance that the above loan will be cancelled within one month time. But even after several followup the loan has not been cancelled, and the ecs of rs. 8136/- got debited from my account in the month of may -2010. Now I am fedup following with walkin branch, chembur, and the concerned sales manager mr. Aslam sayyad.

Hello Sir/Madam,
My name is Kamal Preet Singh resident of Banur (pin-140601) having a bank acc. in HDFC branch Rajpura Calibre Market. I am living in jalandhar since 1 month, which is near about 150km from rajpura. I needed to deposit 4000 RS urgently through the branch which is near by my residence which is near bus stand Jalandhar. But the branch official refused to let me access, giving me the excuse that their rules had been changed, and now i have to deposite the money from my home branch. But as I was not been informed about this prior, so its been their responsibility to find me some way, looking to my urgency. But the way they responded was clearly showing their attitude of not concern.
Here my point is when all other banks are providing this facility of bank flexibility why HDFC has withdrawn this right of mine.
The behaviour of the employee named Ms. P. Walia cabin no. 4, at HDFC branch Jalandhar(near bus stand) was very rude and she was no where willing to look at my problem. As per her Iam a B-2 grade customer and HDFC does not provide this facility to such a person. When i informed her that my bank balance never goes down below Rs 10000/- and i too have an FD of 1L, also iam a regular netsafe user
that clears that Iam a profit making customer how could they put me in B-2 grade, I didnt recieved any response.
So I request your kindness to look into the case and take some urgent step. Otherwise if nothing could be done I would like to close my relations with HDFC. Iam looking forward to your response.

This is to inform you that I am holding a HDFC credit card for the last 4 years.
Recivery agents of HDFC Bank Kolkata (contact no : [protected] & [protected] & [protected]) is threatening me repeatedly and he is behaving very rudely.He is using different rough language & entertaining in personal things.
Also he is calling to my office boss, neighbours even more than 20 times per day so that i am afraid of loosing my job. He is not telling his name also.
I have also informed HDFC Bank customer care through email and phone..But still there is no result atall..
I would like to request you to kindly do the needful so that i can get rid of these embarrasing situation.

non receipt of monthly statement
I have been using HDFC bank credit card for about five months.I have not received monthly statement or e-statement till date.I am informed only throgh sms.
non receipt of bill statements on time is regretted
my credit card no.[protected], iam not receiving monthly statement before 25th every month, sothat iam uncomfortable in making payments. the bilin date is 15th every month, please make it convinient to send tbhe statement before 25th every month. please dothe needful.
I have been using an hdfc credit card as well and always receive my bills after my due date and is always charged late fees thereafter. When I called them up to complain they gave the following excuses:
1) "We have the wrong address" : If so then how come the bills are sent late?
2) "You know your billing cycle ends on 14th.. you're supposed to call us up and check"
3) "We use postal mail service not courier so we cant track"
Why is it that all other banks can deliver on time while HDFC cant? Their response "we cant say anything about other banks"
fraud / forgery in savings account
On 16/4/2010, I found Rs. 15.60 lakhs missing from my bank account through frauduelent transactions. -- HDFC Bank, Sector 18, Noida.
FIR was filed with Police, media covered the entire case. Bank officials told me that my money is safe and they will credit within two days as I was to leave for USA on 22/4/10.
Now, its been almost one month and they have not yet credited my money.
We deposit the money with banks for safe keeping and it should be available to us whenever we want it. HDFC Bank has failed in its commitment to the account holders. I am also filing a complaint with Banking Ombdusman.

Hi Sir/Madam,
This is to inform you that I took a loan of 1 Lac Rs from HDFC three years back. While taking loan I'd given cheques from my Bank of Baroda account which is having only 4 digit account number. After sometime my bank account number converted into electronic and account number changed from 4 digit to 14 digit.
HDFC never informed me the same and my cheques get bounced every month but I paid all my dues and I've no dues from HDFC bank. Since lots of cheques got bounced this case went to Civil.

Dear Sir,
My name is Ashish Singhania and was a credit card holder with HDFC bank (card No. [protected]). There has been a dispute going on with the bank since 2007 for over promising, no customer service, debiting account purchase which are not made my me, putting wrong bank charges and pushing a good customer towards defaulting stage. I had logged a compaint about the same with the bank officials but there was no response to any of my grienvance. hence, I stopped making payments.
After a year when i received a collection call, i had reminded them for faults made by bank employees and lack of coordination with customer. After due discussion with abnk official, we agreed for a settlement amount which Bank official promised to collect with from me and handover settlement letter. Suprisingly, again bank officail failed to collect the payment and this happened couple of time.
During this transactions, i felt that bank officials never wanted to settle the claim but kept pushing me towards defaulter list and intended to collect big money along with interest for no fault of mine. whenever i have received a call from bank, I always cooperated with them and tried to settle the account but bank offcial never acted upon the promises they made.
Recently, I have started getting threatening calls from a lady named, Miss. Priya who quoated herself to be hadfc employee, kanjurmarg, mumbai office - tel no. 022-[protected]. She has made more than 100 calls in 5 hours on 10th May 2009 to my office number and started jeopardysing my image and started harrasing me. She not only made calls to me but also to different people in the company and started disclosing my financial information to other and created an embarrassing environment for me. I was also threatend that if I do not make 100% payment without any discussion, then calls will be on forever to my company numbers. This is been a big mental harrsement and preasure like someone is threatening to pay else your image in professional & social community will be ruined.
I believe every bank is regulated by Indian goverment and has legal process to deal with any dispute with the customer. Not everytime, customers are at fault, even banks officail may make faults. if a customer is trying to highlight banks's mistake, should a customer face such agony and receive threatening calls. Should a bank employee reveal financial informaiton to people unrelated to the customer. Does bank have right to receover money from disputed case by harrassing & threatening their customers...
Kindly help me in this regard, as the lady is frantically disturbing my social image and creating mental presure rather than finding a solution to the dispute. I also request that bank should appoint a sensible perosn to understand customer grievance and find a win win solution to the dispute instead of disturbing social peace of their customers.

Every month I am getting monthly mony transactions report on my email Id(since Jan to April), but this month May, i got transaction report up to 27th april only, whare as wvery month i am able to know my mony transactions from 1st of the month to till 30 or 31st of the month,
why i didnt got the last three days transaction report that is 28th of april to 30th april ?(in that 3 days i have done around 2000$ transactions why it is not mentioned in that report.)
to whom i have to give complaint to see those reports(transactions information.?)

How hdfc loan approval process work at munirka branch new delhi so that nri get feedup (Loan file: [protected])
Myself subodh kumar, working as it manager saud bahwan group muscat oman, mobile :00968-[protected]. One of my friend mr. Saurabh singh got a home loan sanction through mr. Vishal kumar (Mobile: [protected]) with hdfc munirka baranch new delhi. He referred me that you can send paper to this person. He will fw to bank and get it process.
As per mr. Vishal he need to verify soft copy of all documents with bank. He informed that all of my document verified. Exclusively I asked that in my property I am first person and second person is my wife. He told only main applicant poa require to get loan.
After confirmation 22th feb 2010 I send all papers to my poa holder. He handover these papers to mr. Vishal kumar on 24th feb 2010.
As per mr. Vishal loan application and papers submitted to bank on 14th march 10. Regular basis I followed up him but he told it will get approve by 30th march. I asked him where is mail from bank. I got reply in last week of march from mr. Devesh kumar mail id (I have mail proof) , that pl. Send recent bank statement of salary a/c. Next day I sent it. In april first week mr. Devesh kumar (Mobile: [protected]) confirmed me by mail that loan can be approve for 11 lakh only not 29 lakh. He asked for my conformation. I was needy so I confirmed by mail but told pl. Re-check my eligibility.
Finally mr. Vishal confirmed me that file is logged on system on 13th april and given me file number: [protected]. On 20th april by email gurpreet confirmed that loan approved for 11 lakh. I replied you have consider wrong emi amount of my
Icici loan. She asked proof for that. I replied same date and send bank statement (Loan emi details and left duration once again). Next day she replied your eligibility will be 17 lakh and if you close icici loan it will be 21. But further she has not done any thing to change my eligibility. I told her please arrange payment to unitech from munirka branch. As per mr. Vishal suggestion my poa holder mr. Ranjeet singh submitted all original property papers to bank.
Next day I called mr. Vishal pl. Arrange the payment. He told sorry, by mistake file has gone ghazibad (U. P). I written mail to madam megha to get the file delhi munirka branch. Finally 27th april file has come to munirka branch. (Mail proof can be submitted)
I called mr. Devesh on 28th april pl. Release the bank cheque to unitech asap.
He told mr. Sharma is looking, contact him. I called mr. Sharma he told all require papers are there so 29th bank cheque can be release.
On 29th I called mr. Sharma and told can I send my poa to collect the bank cheque. He told you have given your poa but not your wife poa.
I told him that everyone from bank told poa require only from main applicant not joint. You will not believe first poa made in muscat but I paid 15, 000=00 inr to get sign by court sdm at ghaziabad. Now once again I need to do same. Why it should be sign my sdm court, why not normal notary.
Finally I am suffering. My payment to builder is delayed by almost two months. Today I told mr. Devesh pl. Understand my problem. I am not wrong. Its mistake of system so release my bank checque
Mr. Devesh told me its not a bank problem why you submitted the application through mr. Vishal. I want to know that if mr. Vishal is not authorize to do this job. Why he is doing this job and why not same informed me when my application submitted.
Now how I will get loan after delaying of more than 2 months.

I am Prashant Jain,
I got a HDFC Titanium Credit Card on 9th April-10, as the conversation had with HDFC Team since beginning HDFC people were cleared with the subject that there is no any annual or monthly fee with this Credit Card which has been offered by HDFC only.
Now as per the enclosed annexure which I got along with Credit Card there is clearly mentioned that the annual fee will be of Rs. 4000/- (Four Thousand Only) HOW COME? NOT ACCEPTABLE AT ALL>
As I earlier told to HDFC TEAM that if any annual fee is there than I have to surrender this card to HDFC with immediate effect.
Take it very seriously & revert with the actual immediately.

You are expecting HDFC to reply to this post? You think HDFC is even aware of this website? And, even if it were aware of it, you seriously think they are going to be checking it?
You sound like an educated person, so I'm sure that you're aware that the ONLY proper way to complain and get an answer, if that is want one wants, is to write directly to the Company you require an answer from?

re: home loan application rejection
I am Prabhat Sharma, Shift Engineer in Pepsi, and getting 45000 Rs per month My local address is Prabhat Sharma, S/o Sh. S.K.Sharma, D-9, C.S.S.R.I., Karnal, I applied for home loan in karnal in 14 Feb.-10 hdfc loan office for chd housing, opp. Karnal Haveli, I have already given 4 installments of flat. I provide all documents that they required, after that they told me, your file is complete, and home loan will be final, and I come back to job (Pepsi) in Mozambique on dt. 12 mar.-10, I comunicate many times they committed me, that donot worry. but now I am in Mozambique, and they are refusing, that your application is cancelled. They reject my application and giving me unsatisfactory reason, that your father took the small loan from another bank and did not giving back regularly, I applied for home loan in hdfc, not my father, then why they are involving seperate matter with my home loan, they took my NRI Cheques, I will give the installments, not my father They wasted my two months. I cannot apply in another bank at this time .Now I am suffering too much, Because my next installment is due, They could cancell, when I was in India, But now after two months, they reject my application . This is not fair, This is the matter of hdfc reputation and also the faith of peoples on hdfc bank. Now pl. solve my genuine problem.I have paid the processing fees also.I do not what they want now, but like that, This is not good .So again I am requesting you to solve my problem . I am giving the proper address of your karnal office and the consult person.

atm card got blocked
My Atm card got blocked as I have applied for a new gold pro ATM debit card but I didn't receice it as I have to change my location as it was very urgent. Now I want my old card to get activated or I want the new card to be sent to my new address. Even I called the phone banking services twice once they said thet will sent the card to the nearest bank location of my house so I called them againg to check the status of my card but they kept me on hold for 10 mins later I disconnected the call as my balance was low.
Please help me I want my debit card.

lock on savings account
HDFC bank has locked my savings account on 1st April 2010 without prior notice and the Branch Manager is not aware for what reason the lock has been enforced.The Branch Manger of Ambattur Branch, till now has not given the reason for the memo to lock my account. I have issued a notice to the MD of the bank Mr.Aditya Puri in his official mail id aditya.[protected]@hdfcbank.com and if the issue is not sorted out my legal advisor has advised to take the matter to the banking ombudsman.
