Comic
I bid/won a very expensive comic book only to find when it arrived in Australia the slab was cracked/bent. I took a look at the listing pic and could see a shadow of the damage that wasn’t described in the listing. I asked for a refund but was told “no” as it was the slab damaged not the book and if the book dropped a grade they would look at it again. This is not what I would expect from a high end auction business and will never buy from them again. They claim to be completely transparent and honest yet don’t describe damage? Their motive is just lies! I would never have bid if I knew the item was damaged.
Desired outcome: Remove me from any communication. I do not want to be a member or receive any further emails from this company.
My items I do not want listed for sale in auction. I want them returned
1/9/23 I
I contacted Heritage Auction about listing some items for sale. As I am collector of high end sports autographs. When I sent Heritage photos of items they said they would love to sell them, And they expect to get me betr 5,000 to 10,000 dollars. I sent the items. When they recieved the items the set the reserve at 25% of items value. When i spoke to them about reserve price. They stated " They have many buyers dont worry." I asked for my items back, They said the photos have been taken, And are not sending my items back
Desired outcome: I would like my items back before auction begains

Heritage Auctions will steal from those people who are most vulnerable and clueless of what the value of their cards are. I found that out shortly after sending my cards, wanting them back, but they held them for a month, why, halfway through March the reniged on there promised May 2021 auction, instead he said he would sell them to a bulk investor, I said no after looking at the prices my cards would sell for in an auction. Two weeks later, with a letter from IVY, dated 4/1/21 but received the cards before April Fools Day. The entire sports department is corrupt. They will steal, damage cards so the ones stolen would be worth more. Ryan DiCarlo (Outside of Boston, MA) has some of my Derek Jeters, these are my cards, these cards were hardly touched and mint pre-rookie, Rookie.
I am not a lawyer, but I know I was taken advantage of by a systemic system that relies on theft as some sort of sport, 4/1/21 co-signer #42.
I will not stop until I feel the relief of all the pain, monetary and emotional damages done to me.
Stolen sports Memorabilia, Chris Ivy, mark Jordan, Sarah DeSalvo
Heritage attorney,
You are a paid BUFFOON, but it pays well.
I contacted Heritage Auctions through their website, HA.com, and used their free evaluation tool to get an idea if my cards had any value
On January, 30th 2021 Mark Jordan reached out to me regarding my 1953 Mickey Mantle, he wanted to know if I had more, I told him I did and wanted to auction my cards, signed baseballs off in an auction.
Mark told me to email him the player, year, number, and manufacturer of card, but no pictures please.
It took a month, and about 700 cards and 50+ emails later I was ready to go to Dallas an meet Mark Jordan to discuss which cards should be sent for grading. Unfortunately, the day before, Mark J. Cancelled on me and said use 2 day FedEx.
First red flag missed.
They received my 35pounds of cards on 3/3/21
Mark Jordan said I had a lot of valuable cards, and he initiated a late May 2021 auction for my cards.
Everything was working smoothly, until 3/16/21 when Mark Jordan and Sarah DeSalvo called to let me know without qualification that I wasn’t going to be in the May 2021 auction.
I suspected something strange about the reversal but also the fact that Heritage Auctions had held my cards for two weeks then told me this, I told them I wanted my cards back in two days, he told me I would not get them back for another two weeks!
I was livid.
I called Chris Ivy-coCEO, he told me that he would take care of everything from here.
I received my 3 boxes back last day of March, 2021,
It took some time to go through all my cards.
I had cards that were not returned, specifically pre Derek Jeter and Derek Jeter rookies along with mint condition 1970’s cards, 1971 Thurman Munson, 2 1993 UDSP Derek Jeter’s.
I contacted Chris Ivy, Mark Jordan, Sarah DeSalvo by email because they would not return my calls.
I emailed them for an entire year trying to get a human response from them.
They did not respond, so I kept on emailing them until I received a phone call from James Vaughan, CI DFW airport on 8/25/2022, he said that he was investigating my case. (Thought he was investigating the stolen cards which have a value between 250-1million dollars.
James Vaughan told me I have a warrant out for my arrest in mid September 2022 and need to turn myself in to 100 Lamar st. Tarrant County detention facility.
I started to think this was a scam since I have no paperwork or any other correspondence except email and phone conversation.
I ignored it, then I had 4undercover cops surround my house to arrest me last Wednesday and put in the Bexar County intake for 36 hours.
How do thieves, like Heritage Auctions, use the legal system to bypass truth, and use their system to scam people and throw in jail.
I know no lawyers, if I had to do it again I would have filed criminal charges against them.
I don’t know what to do, and I need your help.
Best Regards,
David Wainscott

Desired outcome: You stole not only from me, but my children’s 529 college future funds. You will be disappointed when this investigation ends, soon.
Heritage Auctions response is incorrect, not true.
I have emails
and pictures which suggest you are lying, not honest, a legal department which has it all wrong.
Clarity Reigns with voice mails too. Mark Jordan contacted myself on January, 30th 2021. Chris Ivy said he would handle everything from here on 3/172021. I had my cards returned after they flew it to an suburban area in St. Louis, then didn’t receive the cards sent, the missing ones were the valuable cards. HA.com held my cards for an entire month, why? Because I was signed up for the May 2021 auction.
NETWINGS NEST COLLECTION sold 42 Derek Jeter pre/rookie cards for 2.2 million. My missing cards were the mint condition Derek Jeters, (Mantle Bowman rookie, Willy Mays rookie -PSA 2.5).
Mark Jordan, Chris Ivy, Shara DeSalvo are the perpetrators of this nation pastime tragedy!
40 perfect PSA cards were advertised for sell via auction, my April 2021 magazine cover shows two of my cards sent, but never returned.
Netwings Nest sold those 40 Derek Jeters, via mark Jordan for 2.2million in May 2021.
Netwings Nest doesn’t exist, cayman island possibly then transferred to crypto currency(theory), lost in cloud space.
Money laundering, illiquid market, the 3 steps to fraud acceptance - you Mark J make it palatable because you believe you are helping people. The whole sports department got word, leaks seep threw slowly but consistently on my side, you don’t see it because you are blinded by AMERICAN GREED!
You will never win by stealing my precious

Heritage Auctions sports department has a thief on gravy train, 200k to 1million stolen from me.
Mark Jordan-consignment director who I spoke with after my free evaluation tool pictures sent.
I sent Derek Jeter pre rookies, 1950's thru 2005, i did not receive the quality cards back, ie Mickey Mantle, Thurman Munson, 1999 pokemon Chizard stolen.
I will file a criminal case, civil with class action status.
I was robbed, and I can prove it with my and wife's phone recordings when I received the returned cards from Heritage Auctions after they held them for a month.
Ooh yes, they put in their own 1/2 inch Styrofoam spacers, 10 in total.
Strange things!
They put fodder(spacers)in between the cards so it looked snug;
I sent the cards w/o spacers and they were snug.
My video tape will repatriate this and expose HA.com, and CEO, for malice and theft.

This is completely made up fodder for the HA attorney to receive his bonus and might have enough money to add a pool.
I understand that kind of thinking!
But, it’s not legal!
I recorded the moments I received my cards back from Heritage Auctions by Usps via MO to FedEx.
My wife has recorded the entire account on her phone.
I never sent you 10 styrofoam 1/2in. spacers between my cards, which I saw when I opened the packaging. That’s the 40-50 cards stolen!
Cards I sent a month earlier to you were snug with Mickey Mantle’s, Derek Jeters and other highly sought after limited edition cards.
You HA THIEF!
Now I am asking for compensation from emotional trauma you fronted for an organized criminal syndicate. FBI, Texas Rangers, DPS-ex James Vaughan on the space where theft sits.
I will see you in court, with the option to provide information regarding systemic card theft,

prior to item being bid, I sent INQUIRE request email to ask for proper documentation on artist Kelly Freas painting asking for proper provenance and proof of actual artist painting this picture. Received email from heritage auction confirming receipt of email request for proper provenance but received no reply with requested provenance and proof for painting authenticity. Bid and won item anticipating proof as I requested. Upon winning and notification of win I immediately contactedand spoke to customer sales rep nick (emails on record and 5 other customer reps over next mon. to friday, 9-12-23 thru 9-16-23. Requesting provenance and DO NOT SEnd item until issues and proof provided as I had standing order for last 2 years not to send until paid for orders on file with heritage auction due to prior problems with their sending items before issues resolved. Received call for cataloging rep from heriatge auction apparently refusing to provide prrof. I told nick I would not pay for item on phone and he confirmed this in email and said he would provide mail postage to return item if provenance and proof not provided. I have spent weel over $100,000. with this auction and continue to have occasional problems which is why I do not pay by credit card and send payment by mail!
Desired outcome: send proof of provenance as requested or send postage for return I will not pay for this item until proof is provided. This is unacceptableC#3438287

I’m very disappointed with the way I have been treated with heritage auction I’ve had a long time standing account with Don Ackerman. Since he has retired I called three times before I got a return phone call from the art department the lady who I talk to was very rude and kept cutting me off in midsentence I told her I was handling a rather large art account for a major collector in Williamsburg Virginia she told me that artists like Cole, Geyer, possible Turner, Deli, Beckmen, were mediocre paintings and that I should send a list to Quinn‘s auction in Falls Church Virginia this was a total slap in the face I told her I had paintings worth $1000 to well over $200,000 that I my client was willing to send to Heritage on my word and it was a total embarrassment, i’ve never been treated so rude in my life and I have sent thousands of dollars worth of business to Heritage auction in Dallas and this is what I get in return, I have an account with Bonhams in the UK so I guess I might send my clients multi million dollar collection of oil paintings to them instead of heritage they are loss
Desired outcome: No Outcome!!!!!!!!
I had kind of a similar situation with a piece of jewelry that belong to my great grandmother, and when I was in my late 20s she handed to me and told me it was about 100 years old. About a month ago I had it appraised and they said it was made between 1890 to 1900 and that it was pure amethyst. The appraiser said the Amethyst stone alone is worth $300 (it was also covered in smaller amethyst and pearls and she gave me a much higher amount due to the age of it. And This was from an actual certified appraiser that’s well known in the area and been doing this for 40 years.. I get an email from a girl name Allie asking for pictures of it to the email. So sent pics. Then she emailed me back and tells me it’s not even close to 100 years old and to put it on Etsy and I might get $100 out of it? I told her I already had it appraised officially and it’s worth way more than that. Very strange experience.

Heritage Auctions
I recently participated in and won an item in the Feb 2022 Star Trek auction. I was surprised to hear that I cannot have my items shipped to my shipping address, they can only be shipped to my billing address. These are different for reasons of convince to me. Their representative Larissa Brown could not even be bothered to give the perfunctory apology for the inconvenience. I realize my $2600 win is chump change to Heritage Auctions, but they could at least pretend to care! As I have told them, and I will say it here - this was my first time and will be my LAST time dealing with this firm.
Desired outcome: An apology would be nice. I doubt they will ship my items to the address I wish, so how about an apology? I'm keeping the bar very low for them.
They reached out to me very quickly and resolved the issue.
Sports cards
Mark Jordan, Chris Ivy and Sarah Desalvo stole and damaged the most valuable cards in my collection after using the “free evaluation tool” they promote on HA.com
I can go into detail how Mark Jordan pulled off this fraud using a burner phone on what he wanted sent along with ambiguous emails.
I am sure I am not the first to be ripped off, I will be their last and final Eternal nightmare

Heritage Auction’s has No Compliance Department,
found this out after the theft occurred, I am a CFP, Financial Planner and they took money from my children for a new Jet, or repatriation from past complaints, or early bonuses for client services department.
Not sure yet, puzzling pieces come in waves.
Truth usually comes too the people with revenge, or better yet, with an actual Heart.
No, not stupid; Just the facts.
You stole at least 40, mints.
Chris Ivy,
What are you going to do about it?
Scammers / unfair, deceitful and abusive sales practices
Heritage Auctions staff sold me a damaged card for $93, 245, not disclosing the damage in the two pictures of the card at auction, or the physical description (which as a glowing recommendation), and then holding the money and card hostage.
Rest assured that given the size of this transaction; These scammers have already been referred to regulators and law enforcemet so will be prosecuted for fraud and any other violation of Consumer Protection Law.

Refraining from shipping winning lots & asking for extra shipping fees AFTER receiving full payment!
Client ref.: 3369899
1. Winning 4 lots (auctioned banknotes) in Oct 2021.
2. We had agreed on a bulk shipment to save on shipping fees (Nov 16).
3. I confirmed to them by email my address (billing & shipping) and the shipping method & fees I opted for (Nov 17).
4. The full payment was made accordingly & they confirmed its clearance to their bank account on Nov 30 (including the fees for the bulk shipment of all 4 winning lots).
5. As per their terms, USPS (The selected shipping carrier) takes 7 to 14 days to dispatch the shipment after payment's clearance & for them to share with me the tracking reference.
6. As of today Dec 17, it's been 17 days since they confirmed receiving the full payment but the won items are still stuck in the US, and the HA team is asking me to pay additional shipping fees to release them to my shipping address & to share with me the tracking reference!
A lot of emails have been exchanged with them since Oct. The last one was today- Dec 17 in response to their request for payment of the additional shipping fees.
I sent them an email on Dec 10 about the same subject copying all persons in charge- up to their CFO but I still didn't get any clarification from their side regarding charging me for extra shipping fees for a bulk shipment!
I've been a standard client of HA since Sept 2016 & this is the 1st time I experience these kind of issues with their team.
Sports cards
Sports cards sent, 2 Derek Jeter pre rookie cards stolen, One frank thomas rookie and ken Griffey Jr. rookies. approx auction worth 300k. All three types come as the most coveted and rare in the collectible community. These cards were sent to mark jordan Director at Heritage, HA.com.
Got nowhere, many complaints, no responses!
Lawyers told me to bug off.
I don't have anymore recourse?
I get caught up thinking about this everyday, made me start drinking again/ except for last days. Worse year, they also damaged many others, my most value assets was ripped me in pieces, cannot put back together again.
Not sure what I was suppose to do, call FBI

Desired outcome: Cards returned in same condition auction #152122
But they held on to my cards for a month, why did I receive 10 , 1/2in. Spaces? The only plausible reason was they could not keep the last box snug, so enter spacers. MJ, Chris Ivy, Shara DeSalvo are partners and never given a response for the reason he reneged on the agreement 3/17/21, c. Ivy took over, they took me for a one month long tour of HA.com

On October 6, 2015 I was given false and misleading information which induced me to enter into a transaction with your company. I met a representative at my bank vault to offer coins for auction. I wanted to set a minimum price for each coin. I was told that they had over 950, 000 bidders when there were less than 5 bids.(The record shows that in fact they do place minimum bids on coins.) I have asked for return of coins or replacement of coins in kind and grading. NGC which is the pricing "bible" in the industry place a minimum valuation of these coins of $1, 605. I have rejected Heritage check of $756.90
Had I not been 86, and retired in Florida, I would have sued for treble damages in Texas under Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act sec 17.46 of the Texas Business Commerce Code.

I won an auction and the lot was a Yamaha electric guitar, decribed as an SG3000. I was not very familiar with Yamaha guitars, but knew that the SG3000 was highly collectible, so bid on it. After receiving the guitar and doing some research, it didn't take long to figure out this was not an SG3000. I contacted the people at Yamaha and they said they do not...

David Lisot makes promises with Heritage and does not keep them. I submitted many coins for auction and the first two lots went up. One coin sold and the other did not. The one coin that did not sell did not meet my minimum but they are charging me for the buy back price that was 170.00 over the high bid.
I immediately sent David Lisot an email and demanded that all of my coins be returned immediately and we settle up. Not only did he not send the coins back but put them up for auction even though the auction had not started. Heritage coins or Heritage Auctions is nothing more than thieves.
David Lisot is refusing to give my coins back and is not paying me for the one coin that did sell even though it is our agreement that it is time to be paid.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I sent 2 e-mails concerning my Windows on the World gift certificate.
I know it's busy but I'd like a reply. The second email contains a picture of the items.
Woody, I’m sorry your experience with Heritage wasn’t what you expected. We strive to provide the best experience possible for our consignors. Unfortunately, I do not know the specifics of your situation because I do not know who you are, and David Lisot is no longer with the company. If you would like to contact me regarding your situation, please call me at [protected] ext. 1370 or e-mail me at JeffP@HA.com.
In response to your concern about being charged for a coin which did not meet your minimum, I believe you will find that this is standard policy for most auction houses.
Heritage always pays its consignors, and we always pay them on time, 45 days after the close of the auction. If you did not receive payment for the coin you sold, I expect it is because your unmet reserve fees were greater than your proceeds? It may also be that you simply posted this complaint before the settlement date for that auction? In any case I would like to talk to you and see if we can resolve any remaining issues you might have.
