food and service
We waited over a hour for our food. French toast and country ham with scrambled eggs. When we got our food it was literally toast with powdered sugar on it. It wasnt dipped in the egg batter at all. When I took it back to the counter I was told by the cook "hey thats why I dont eat here". I asked them to take it off my bill considering I didnt eat but 1 bite and I was given attitude about. The cook asked the prep cook what was wrong and he stated "the French toast taste like [censored]". After dealing with that we ate our country ham that was under cooked and has burt left overs all over it from whatever the cook had prepared before our meal. All in all this was the worst experience we have had at huddle house and a complete waste of $30.
food and manager
On 6/2/18 I visited your Rolla store around 7am. I live 20 miles away and eat at the cuba restaurant all the time. This experience was way different. My 6 year old had to use the restroom and was hungry. I knew where this restaurant was and love huddle house food. When I pulled on the lot I didnt even know if restaurant was open. No vehicles, no customers. We used the restrooms 1st. The ladies room was clean. Then we went to sit down and I noticed booths and tables were dirty and the floor was dirty. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. I ordered the prime rib tip omlet and my kid ordered pancake with bacon and sausage. Our order was out extremely fast. The pancake was cold but my 6 year old didnt care. My omlet was disgusting. The meat tasted rubbery and old. I asked the waitress if I could switch it with the western omlet. She did and when she brought that out it had 4-5 pieces of ham and the veggies were barely cooked. There was grease or butter dripping off of it. I took my papertowels and tried to soak some up. I took 2 bites and couldnt eat anymore. I did eat my hashbrowns and 1/2 my toast. My bill was 22.10 for hardly anything ate. The waitress noticed and said she would get her manager. I told her I could just do survey. Well when her mgr came out I guess he was the cook. He was very rude about omlets and asked me why I didnt send 2nd 1 back. I told him I was a restaurant mgr and wasnt sending 2 back. If they couldnt get 2 right why would they get the 3rd. He told me doing the survey on receipt would do me no good because I would just have to deal with him anyway. He snickered when I told him where I was a mgr at as he walked away. He did refund me money my bill was 22.10, he refunded 25.00. His name was Rick. I thought mgrs dressed in nice clothes. He was in a reg uniform. I now know why this store was a ghost town on saturday morning. I will never ever return here again. Rick your customers pay your salary. I would never treat a customer the way we were treated. And you could take some classes on cooking too.
service
I enjoy the breakfast it is always great but service on saturday and sunday mornings is horrible I can take my family during the week for breakfast or lunch and have great service the weekends you cant even get a coffee refilled you sit and eat with nothing to drink your server should at least check on the table after the give food. Again you have great food but I will be looking for another place for the weekends for breakfast this has gone on to long
customer service on phone
I called to order my grandparents a meal. The girl who answered seemed nice at first, but then she just dropped the phone and I could hear another girl saying that she couldn't hear me and for her to take my order. I heard the other girl say that if she can't hear a customer then she just hangs up, so when she comes on the phone I say, "Please don't hang up on me." And she just completely interrupts me in such a rude manner and is really cocky and smart with me the whole phone call. That makes me not want to order from them again. This was Amory, MS Huddle House.
to go order
Today, May 11, 2018, at around 12:15am, I called the Huddle House by Walmart in Waynesville, NC to place a to go order. I told them that I would be by in 15 minutes to pick up my order. They told me that the food would be ready. I arrived shortly after 12:30 am, and I was told, word for word, that the cook kinda hadn't started my food. She told me that the cook hadn't been there for 15 minutes. I then told her that I had a 30 minute lunch break at work and that I would just take my business to Walmart to get food for my break. If you need to contact me my number is [protected].
the unsanitary cooks
A friend and I was eating breakfast at the huddle house in Greenwood, sc on the morning of April 24. We notice one of the cooks while cooking a customers food he was also handle the trash and trash cans. He even push the trash deeper to make more room for more trash and then return to cooking food without changing his gloves and washing his hands. I must say I will no longer eat at this location.
service
Today April 24 2018. We went to try to eat at a Huddle house restaurant & they keep us waiting & waiting for a long time, then I asked about our food cus I noticed that other people who get there way after us were getting their food, he a server asked us what we ordered supposedly to find our ticket& I'm not dummy & I realized that she were just placing our order. That's very disrespectful & rude.
management and staff
I have worked huddle house for years.. I used to manage the one in Elbert on ga. I went to work at the one in anderson, the manager is a joke. She has her kids managing as shift leaders, which is not suppose to happen, on top of lying to her employees as well. I got hired in as 3rd shift manager.. and every friday night her daughter who supposedly ran 2nd shift never did her job properly. She would leave as soon as she could leaving 3rd shift to clean the floors, never had grits or gravies to start off my shift, all her dishes we had to do because her husband who is also a shift leader wasn't there to do it for her.. they would leave the place trashed! So when I came in I had hours of work to do before I could even work my shift properly and she never stocked the sandwich board.. leaving me having to cut prep as I cooked every time. I go to the manager and complain and of course she'd take up for her daughter saying well she had a busy shift and it's understandable, but yet if we didn't do all 3rd was expected to do we got treated badly by 1st shift cook... One Friday night we got left so bad I was suppose to cook had two servers.. there was no prep done. There's no waffle mix no pancake mix no veggies prepped.. Nothing on the cook station either. So I made a decision to put the server who also cooked on the floor about 2am and I prepped all I could so first shift wasn't left the way I was. The first shift cook always came in with a chip on his shoulder.. so I thought I was doing the right thing as a manager and made sure the restaurant was in good shape for the next shift. But again I was wrong I guess cause the manager said that corporate was mad because there was 2 cooks for a 400 dollar shift... it didn't matter how much money we made the place was a complete wreck from 2nd.. there was no way a single cook could of got everything done before first shift started so I did what I thought was right... the next night I came in (saturday) the manager came in yelling at us cause she got chewed out from corporate for Friday night. But yet she didn't see all we got left with. I told her to check the cameras so she could see what all we had to do but she didnt. I guess neither did the DM... cause I got sent home told they were closing down 3rd. My scedule was wed, thurs, fri, sat, sun of the week. I purposely asked the manager 2x about my sedule if I still worked the scedule she had up she told me she didn't know she said she would call me about it as soon as she knew what was going on. I never got a call all week. And I live 45 minutes away from there. She told me twice before I left she would call me to let me know. But she didnt... So when I didn't get a call from her and Wednesday rolled around nobody called then Thursday night about 9pm her daughter called me very rude to me said I had to work Friday and saturday... this wasn't my manager telling me this she didn't tell me anything so my husband had made reservat ions for our anniversary Thursday morning it was a surprise for me, in Gatlinburg Tennessee, he paid 600 dollars for these arrangements.. I did not know he did this until after I got off the phone with my managers daughter telling me I had to work Friday and sat 3rd shift when my manager told me previously that 3rd was cancelled... so Friday morning I did all I could to either get a refund of the money my husband reserved or change the date I couldn't do either one.. that was 600 dollars that I couldn't get back. So I had to call and tell them I couldn't come in those nights... I wasn't gonna loose my money.. and it made no sense why my manager couldn't call me when I tried to call her phone 3x she didn't answer which is nothing new really. So I finally get her on the phone Sunday she was upset that I didn't work Fri and Sat. she told me her manager wasn't happy with me cause of that Friday night.. and 3rd shift is closed down. well I asked to b trained on the grill cause I knew there was new menu items I did not know, I asked her to put me with a cook to learn it she didnt, so I screwed up a few orders because I had no knowledge of the new plates. that wasn't my fault I asked to b trained properly she didn't do that. Then I told her I wanted to take the cook Manuel home but she didn't have a cook Manuel apparently a employee took it home with them and didn't bring it back.. so what was I suppose to do? One breath my manager said I wasn't allowed to cook but she kept sceduling me to cook, even though she knew I wasn't trained on the new menu... And she told me 3rd was cancelled but then I was on scedule for 3rd? She confused the whole situation and lied to me. There is no telling what she told her DM about the situation cause she lies so much.. she even said her mother died yet her daughter said her gma didn't die told another employee that she wasn't dead.. just to get a break from work I guess. The manager doesn't respect her employees and she lies to them as well. She doesn't make the shifts do what they are supposed to do rather busy or not.. she's got her kids running shifts who can't keep up with the restaurant. She doesn't cook although she is suppose to cook so many hours a week.. that's a requirement for managing the restaurant.. I know because I managed a huddle house and that's not right either. She let's her employees do her inventory for her while she walks around writing it down. I mean come on... really. There is major health violations in the restaurant such as day dots not on food, on the cook line and in the cooler. There is severe ice build up in the freezer which needs to b cleaned out everyday. Old food on the floor in the cooler. I took apart the tea urn nozzle and it's obvious it never get cleaned either. Below the server dish pit stinks to high heaven it don't get cleaned either.. I mean I never seen anybody clean the salt and pepper shakers and that's how you tell if it's clean or not from what corporate taught me when I was manager. This place is ridiculous.. I wanted to get back into it but the manager of the anderson store pretty much let me down, she never answers her phone when we needed her, she lied to my face, she does not know how to work shifts efficiently. And I'm not the only one who agrees there are other people there that say the same thing. She also favors certain employees and let's them ride with her to do bank deposits and tells me they are on a 30 minute break cause they worked from 6am til 2pm... I never got a break and I pulled the same amount of hours as that server, and I didn't see anyone else get a 30 minute break. Then she wanted to scold employees because they may take a 3 minutes cigarette break thru shifts whatever... it's just not run properly. If she changes the scedule nobody knows if they are expecting to work certain days and they change the scedule she needs to at least call the person and let them know because if that person seen the scedule on sat and it says a certain time and day to work and you don't come in til say Thursday and the scedule was changed and you have to be there on say Tuesday she should let u know she changed it... nobody needs to make a special trip to work just in case the scedule changed she should at least call and tell her employees it has been changed but she dont! She changes it and it screws people up then she wonders why they didn't show up! It's ridiculous. I was a great manager when I had the one in elberton, my employees were loyal, I was honest and dependable for them... they never had to worry about what to expect from me but at that time I had serious female problems and worked til I couldn't and had to resign. I worked 3 and a half years never took a vacation nor a sick leave all that time and when things started happening to me and I had 3 surgeries in less than 2mths, huddle house never honored my vacations I never took nor the sick days I never took but yet I still worked as sick as I was, it hurt to resign because I loved my job.. but I had no choice but resign cause the company wouldn't let me take my sick days nor my vacation time to heal from the surgeries I had, so I resigned.. Or I would still b there today.. my store was 3rd in line for best of the best when I had it, now it's so bad from what I'm told.. I would love to have my store back I could bring it back to life. Right now apparently the store is roach infested, someone sent me videos of how my elberton store is now and I mean wow... what is happening to the huddle house?
product and time
We went into the huddle house around 1015 Saturday night. Although our waitress was very friendly the food and the amount of time it took to get it was awful. We received our food at 1145. When we asked they said almost ready then the next time we asked they was plating it up. The grits was cold and the egg omlet was 1/2 the size. This was the 3rd try in over 2 years that we have attempted to eat here. Never again will we try. We have even ordered to go and we didn't receive half our food and it sure isn't the quality that you need to get for the price of the food
weed smell
Came in restaurant on March 21, 2018 around 6 o'clock went to use the rest room and grab something to eat. This is not the first time I have came to this restaurant and me and my wife barely could place a to go order because of the marijuana smell I notified the manager before this has to stop if they want to continue the business. I never been the type to make reviews but they have no smoking signs up but the bathrooms have cigarette buds around the men toilet
no service at all
The Huddle House in Dayton Tennessee had approximately for tables sat. Maybe two people at the bar seating. I sat down at the last booth on the End facing the mirror After a few minutes of no one coming by, I turned around in my booth several times making eye contact with different servers. There were quite a few behind the counter. no one waited on me. After about 20 minutes I gathered my purse, got out of the booth and started walking out. I made eye contact with several servers on my way out. No one said a word.
waiter was being very rude
I and my family came in to your restaurant #895 in San, Juan Tx.. Around 11pm.. we were a party of 8.. sat down and we took a little while and a waiter adviced us it was going to take a while... cause there was a big order in front of us.. and yes we were aware of that.. then our waiter came and took all our order... then when our order came my plate was a B.L. T the guy set my plate and then he reached out to my plate and took a plastic thing that came off my food he didn't even say any think then my husbands plate was biscuits and gravy his biscuits were hard as a rock.. on of my party addviced waiter that it was rude of him reaching out to take what ever he got off my plate in front of me and my party adviced him to please make me another plate and the waiter replyed very rude to her yes.. to please our customers and yanked my plate.. and then he both me back my order and apologyed but then he never got us coffee when we told him.. then I told him that if he can get my husband another biscuit cause it was hard.. He did but again we never got more coffee.. then we asked for our bill.. then he rudely told us that we didn't have to give him a tip.. we was very rude..

about the air conditioning being on at night
Wen you go to the huddle one mike packet you better have a wool head a winter coat and bring a hot platte to keep your food warm while you try to eat you can drink coffee is not hot can eat anything because food is cold in 5min. Because they have the air contitioning on 68 degree. We used to be 10 women to eat there now we going to wafflehouse up the street at leased our food is hot and we don't have to sit with all that clothes on. It is a shame that the management dont care abaut therecustomer, the cook in the second shift thinks it is funny and laugh at us wen we tell him is cold. The first shift cook said he dont have a driverliscend to come back to turn on some heat. You know there are older customer the wont to eat at night and they leave because is to cold. It is a shame that nobody cares abaut the older people. I also wars told nobody at the corp. Dont care we have said so many time to james before you leave give us a little heat one night is fine next day is 68 or 67 decree. We planning to find a new place so are the older customer.
I was overcharged.
I visited this location on 02/16/2018 and had breakfast and once my meal was over I paid for my order with my debit card for the amount of 26.81 and once I left for home I received a alert text on my phone and it showed I was over chared for 32.81 and I also left a 3.00 tip, and as I retured back to speak with the manager which had left for the day but was phone on the store phone but he still did not correct my situation instead he had another waitress to call my server for that incident but no answer from her either which was Brittany. As I stood there to try and get the situation solve the store manager still did not appeal to the store after he told me he would meet me at the store in 20 minutes even after I left the store and came back, all I ask isthat be refund my money because either they stealing at this store or they think customers dont pay attention to their money but yet instead he was not really concern or did he try to resolve my issue. so I take it that they take customers money all the time and gets away with it. Just think I should be refund my whole amount simply because they took extra money and he, Reginald Stanford store # 382 — 2426 Hwy 82 East, Greenville, MS [protected] at 10:35 AM
service
I walked in to order take out. The waitress there completely ignored me so the cook noticed me and asked what I would like. I ask about the lunch special and he proceeded to ask the same waitress what they were she replies with "she can read the sign" still being very rude towards me. He goes ahead and makes my meal and asked her to check me out. She ignores him n walks away I stand there for a few minutes... walks passed me n tells the other waitress to ring me up so I can leave. I'm actually very mad at the situation because I never gave her a reason to act the way she did I could've easily been rude also but kept my composure the entire time. I'm gay and don't know if that was the issue or if I'm Hispanic but she doesn't need to act like that towards customers I will not be going back to huddle house because of this.
employee eating while working
I was dining alone on Jan 5, 2018 in Rome, Ga.- 229 Sunset Dr.
As I entered around 9:15am, I noticed an employee eating at the counter.
She had orange tinted hair and wore a wrist brace on both hands.
I witnessed her placing food in her mouth and her fingertips touching her lips. Soon thereafter, a customer arrived and (prior to washing her hands) she grabbed a napkin, poured a cup of coffee and delivered it to the table. It appeared she knew the customer.
Upon completion of my meal, I addressed the matter with a man that identified himself as a manager. I relayed my story and asked if he desired me to identify the employee. He responded "yes, please" and I did so.
I told him this behavior was completely unacceptable and he agreed. He thanked me for pointing out my observance.
Complaining about someone's complaint. Just like my3cents.
Looks like you voiced your complaint w/manager and he acknowledged it. Why are you still complaining?
everything
I stopped on my way home & picked up dinner for the family this evening & it wasn't any good. The crispy chicken salad mix was old & brown & the chicken was hard as well as the lettuce did not have any crisp to it at all. The baked potatoes were cold & brown & tasted as they were left over & had just been warmed up in microwave & the turkey on the turkey bacon ranch had a very bad taste. Our order tonight was very bad & disappointing so needless to say we did not eat just a couple bites & it all went in the trash. We eat there very often & have never had this bad of an experience before. We are very disappointed & it will be a while before we eat there again. Suggestions are that everything should be made fresh daily & checked & not left laying out to turn brown
huddle house, springfield ga
My husband and a friend of his went into this establishment around 10:00 am, he ordered his breakfast with an extra biscuit, the waitress came back over and told them she could not give him an extra biscuit unless she charged him 2.00, he then ask to see a manager, the manager robin told him the same thing, in the mean time the waitress rung it up on the register and it came back.89 cents, when debbie (the waitress) told the manager she apparently got upset and in front of the customers told her after her customers left she could go home, debbie did absolutely nothing wrong, and the manager was way out of line, we've been in there before when the manager got ugly with her employees on the floor.. thank you Kathy wise [protected].. if you have any further questions..
customer service
I was a guest today around 10:45 pm. Melinda being my waiter was very polite to begin with. I wanted to order a sandwich which was on the menu and she began to tell me y'all no longer serve this meal. I have been a customer for plenty of years and have never gave me an issue. After my order came up incorrectly I told her. She began to curse and slam items behind the counter. I found this to be very rude, unprofessional, and poor customer service. I will no longer have this waitress or come back to this restaurant.
both
My family ate at the Huddle House in Dillon SC. We went Friday night about 9:30. When we received our food, we got 4 plates but my sons plate came 15 minutes later. My other son ordered a loaded baked potato and it had a piece of lettuce in it. He didn't finish his food after then. Our drinks were NEVER refilled or were we asked did we want a refill. I didn't finish my food because I needed more tea. My daughter had to find the waitress to ask for a box and the receipt. My husband goes to register to pay and for some reason it had to be rang up separately. He was told that anything over $25 had to split. So my husband had to have 2 different transactions to pay for our food. This was my first time eating at huddle house of Dillon and will be my last.
