My husband and I have recently visited the IHOP in South Portland and the service was awful. The server Casey was rude and reminded us of a Robot. She seemed a little computerized, and you and you. This is what we got so we listened to her take orders at the table next to us. Low and behold she said and you and you. We laughed at the same time, and you and you, we continued to say this to each other the hole day. Well then we recieved our food. Slame the plate hit the table, YES SHE THROWS THE PLATE AT US. Really this was the last visit, she was rude like a robot and literally throws the plate at us. We left the restaurant so disgusted that we will NEVER return. Its really to bad because the food was wonderful. She really should not be a server she was awful. Again its to bad because like the saying goes ( I"m going to tell 2 friends and so on and so on. Thank you

i disagree with this cause i am a server at a ihop and if you feel like a table is talking about you. I simply flip my mood to rude ### ### because you came to eat where i work i didnt come to see you feel mee

Wow these people are typical trailer trash. making fun of someone with a disability please don't go back to Ihop. They don't want you.

I've went there many times. This was the first time I ever experienced racial issues while @ the IHOP on Slauson/Western. I will never go back there again.

Every since 1996 when my husband and I opened our business in Greenville SC we committed to each other that twice per week we will have a "sit down" breakfast" and IHOP was “our place“. When we moved to Myrtle Beach last year we continued that tradition with the M.B. location. Service has been spotty at best here until we found one waitress who was dedicated to customer service. After a number of visits we stopped ordering pancakes due to the fact that most times the were room temperature at best when they got to the table, the butter placed atop them would be cold and never melted. When we told her this after she recommended a special she suggested we had our pancakes held until after we had the main dish, and for 4 months now that’s what we have done. Today on our weekday visit we place our order as usual but with a waiter as the waitress we normally see wasn’t there. We were rudely cut off during ordering by our waiter who said “ I can’t hold pancakes, were too busy during the summer to hold pancakes, I will bring warm syrup”. This was said very matter of fact and rude with out regard to our stunned faces. It is March, 40 degrees outside and the restaurant was no busier than any other day over the last 4 months. After he made this comment he paused and saw our stunned faces and said “I’m sorry we’re just too busy for that during the summer” in the same rude tone. I am ashamed to admit that at that point I became rude as well when I told him “ Well I guess your too busy for my business” and he said “ok” and walked away.
In a town with 83 Pancake houses lining the main hwy it was easy to find another local breakfast house to eat at. The way I see it is that my husband and I eat once during a weekday and with our kids on a weekend day - our budget for the visits is 70.00 per week equaling $3640 per year spent. Now I know your not a small business and perhaps that isn’t a drop in the bucket for even the one restaurant alone but have that happen to the locals once per week and how much it adds up too. I do not intend to revisit the restaurant once “summer” is over due to the fact that if I am of no importance to you when your busy why should I support you when your slow in the off tourist season?

I know you can’t fix a problem if you don’t know it exists, so now I can rest assured that you know.

I have visited this particular restaurant on several occasions and I've never been so embarrassed in all my life. Not only for me and my family but for the servers, it seems that if you are black it's ok to be called the n word loud enough for customers to hear

Managers using profanity infront of customers. I'm the only white girl that works there and they are giving me hell. They are hiring to many poeple. At one time. Having interviews at 3, busy part of the day while shift change and counting down drawers are all happening at the same time!

The ladies room always smells bad and there's is never paper towels. I've had experienced one were there was no toilet paper in the stalls and no soap at all.
